Heck yea, boy I was holding my breath.. It had been looking pretty weak over the last couple of days.. That's usually when I throw in the towel.. Thank God for StockWerld Gold.. Now I am making money.. hahahhahah
As a new trader I have found that the lower volitility plays give me more time to work with the stock. They move slower so I have time to take in the data before I get blown away.. Kind of like training wheels.. heheheh
Like I had mentioned in one of my previous posts, I am dead serious about trading for a living and very much enjoy working with others. With that in mind, my website takes top priority. It's funny, but the program I have going over there has helped me trade better... I am sure once the place fills up with others who are ready to do the work, the profits should really take off for everyone. Two heads are better than one. :)
Talk to ya soon.. JimBob

As a fairly new trader I have been using X_Dev as an entry and exit timing tool on stocks that don't fit the volitility that Myst describes. Take ACF for instance. This stock does not whip saw back and forth like a true X_Dev candidate but since Oct. 31st. I have made over a 14% return on this one and there is still room left to go.

BBY upgraded.
BBY just recieved an upgrade.
Hey Jerry, sorry for the delay I was out with my family for the evening. Myst hit it on the head, I have been watching the market for about 5 years and trading for a little over 3 years now. I picked the best time to start, during the bear market.. hahahhahh. I have a reputation with my colleagues as one who can pick stocks that go up, but I get in and out of them just before they shoot up in price, so obviously I have a problem to solve, that being timing. X_Dev has opened some new doors for me in this area as well as StockWerld Gold. X_Dev has helped tremendously with timing my entries and following Myst at StockWerld Gold has been a priceless wealth of trading education. I highly recommend both to anyone who does not have it all together or is too busy to do the work Myst does for you on a daily basis. As for my site, I am a firm believer in the product and services Myst offers because of what they have done for me and therefore utilize those tools on my site. I developed my site for the sole purpose of helping people learn how to trade on their own, including myself. Some people can do it all by themselves while others work better in groups or think-tanks. On my site I have some key areas that when utilized correctly can open your eyes to areas that need attention in your trading strategy. I use the tools on my site and combined with X_Dev and StockWerld Gold have found that I have more room for improvement than just my timing. So to answer your question I can say this; If you know how to trade, X_Dev is a great addition to your toolbox. If you want to get the inside scoop from a fantasic trader and enhance your performance and knowledge then sign up for StockWerld Gold. If your new to trading or suffering similar stumbling blocks as I am, then I suggest doing all three programs. I am sure you will find the set of programs that works best for you. Just to let you know, I am DEAD serious about trading and look forward to the day I can set my alarm clock to the sound of the opening bell and welcome anyone to hop on and ride the train with me.
Hope to see you there... JimBob

Trading Philosophy
1. Know the companies I invest in. Take the time to research the company for few days from different sources. Make sure I read the entire news article and not just the headlines.
2. On the first trade cycle, only trade half positions or less to get a feel for how the stock trades.
3. Keep close tabs on the health of the industry groups my stocks are in.
4. Don't put all my eggs in one basket. No matter how good a trade looks, I will not commit all my capital. Keep spare cash on hand, or a trading stake in reserve (hedge). If you're out of money, you're out of the game.
5. For every position I enter, establish a target and a stop-loss. This is the key to trading discipline. Have a plan before I get in and stick to it.
6. Trade with the trend. Don't fight it.
7. I don't know with 100-percent certainty whether the trade will be profitable or not.
8. I don't know how much money will be made or lost on a trade.
9. If I do not control the profit outcome and do not know with 100-percent certainty which trades will work, then the I should spend 100-percent of my time concentrating on the only element of the trade I can control – the risk of the trade.
10. The key to my success is to gain the ability to pinpoint how much I can afford to lose. Thinking about losing requires discipline. By focusing acutely on my trading plan, the probabilities for profits or losses and streaks of each, and risk control, risk-taking becomes more manageable and can give me the ultimate gift – FREEDOM!!!!!
11. Many hours of preparation occur long before any trade is entered. GET USED TO IT!!!!! The market will always be there and there will always be more opportunities around the next corner.
12. Monitoring a profitable trade in progress also requires discipline – follow my trading plan. Do not be concerned about minuscule fluctuations if my goal is higher. There are two sets of questions that I will ask myself:
A) "Is the market still in the same primary trend since I placed the trade? Am I comfortable with the risk level on this trade?"
If the answer to both of these questions is "yes" I should stay in the trade. If the answer is "no" to either of these questions then its time to exit the trade.
B) "Has the pattern in the trade changed from the original pattern? Has the initial price objective been reached?"
If the answer is "yes" to either of these questions its time to exit the trade. If the answer is "no" then the trade must continue.
13. Trading is a business of dealing with probabilities, not certainties. I never know which trades will work; the problem arises when I only ‘think’ I know."
14. Always remember, sentiment rules the short term while fundamentals rule the long term.
15. On longer term trades I should heed X_DEV's signals, because they are the better calls over the longer term. Unemotional, objective price points based on mathematics will always favor a trader/investor that's in it for the long haul. Any optimized X_DEV chart is proof of that.
Go X_DEV!!! YEA!!! I am making money... YEEE HAAA.

Boy, that was a NEWS play... for sure... I was in and out on the earnings. But they have an insurance claim issue that could really hurt them bad. They were supposed to have a news conference tonight about the insurance bit and I was not holding on to it to find out that their inventory was not going to be covered. I am going to watch it tomorrow, but until that issue is cleared up it will be real risky.

Myst, you didn't stray at all.. Thanks... Sometimes one cannot see the forest through the trees and needs things put into perspective. I will add your post to my "words of wisdom".
3 recent xdev buy signals for me:
AMZN, although I don't like the bearish news.
BBY, at the bottom of a decending channel. Insiders buying now.
HUM, at the bottom of a ascending channel. Financially well.
Thanks again,
here is a shorter link to my site.. I got tired of typing the longer one.. hahahhaha

Myst, in a previous post you showed a pic of a stock scan and mentioned that those picks could be the next GNSS type movers. On that scan was listed VTSS. Similar to a CNXT type play, could you give me your opinion on it. With the latest CSCO news do you think that will carry any weight with these guys?

Here you go Tim,
I was driving down the road one day and noticed a new sandwich shop that had just opened up across the street from McDonalds. I decided to pull in the parking lot to get a better look at the place. I hopped out of my car to peek in the window to see what the place looked like inside. Just then a gentleman stepped out of the front door and said "Hello, I am the proprietor of this new sandwich shop, have a look around and let me know if I can be of assistance". I immediatly turned to him and said "what can you offer that McDonalds does'nt offer? Do you plan to make money from this place? Do you think you will ever be as famous as McDonalds who is just across the street? What qualifies you as a business owner anyway? Because you charge for your food you owe me some answers now!!! The proprietor, clearly astonished, took a deep breath and thought for a moment and with a clear mind replied to me, "sir, as you go about your business over the next few days take a moment to look around and notice all of the small businesses that are thriving in the marketplace. Each one offers something they feel is unique, a different style or way of providing a service that makes them different from the rest even though they are in the same industry. If you stand back and watch you will notice that some people will choose McDonalds and others Burger King, while another group will prefer a more personal touch. Those are my customers. The ones that enjoy a warm hello when they arrive, not a hello that is part of a job description. The ones that know me by name and the ones I know by name. They are the customers who stop by to say hello even when they are not hungry. They are my friends and potential friends. They are the people that find value in the personal touch and not the assembly line touch. They are the people who prefer a community that works together for the benefit of all. Those are my customers." I stood there in disbelief, my mind scrambling for something to say. "Well", I stuttered, trying to rationalize my previous statments, "On a comparitive basis your prices are higher than McDonalds, they offer more variety on their menu and sometimes give stuff away for free. Your rent is probably exspensive for this prime location and with the small amount of business you get I imagine you don't make much money. I'm not sure if you have much of a future and I'm reluctant to hang around to see what happens". The owner looked at me and scratched his chin while he thought for a moment and then he said to me, "Sir, my dream has been to own my own business ever since I was young. I started making sandwiches at home, learning from my friend who was a chef. To gain some experience I would volunteer my skills to local groups and churches, making sandwiches for free as I learned the business. I drew large crowds at these events as my skills increased. I eventually decided that it was time to fulfill my dream of owning my own business. I researched and found a way to start inexpensively so that I did not have to worry about profitability at first. My menu is small but the service is great, and unique. A few of the people who followed my progress still eat for free because of the inspiration they gave me. Here is a letter written about the service I provide from one of my customers/friend:
"Hi...I arrived back home this afternoon and was checking out the progress you have made on NIPG...but got quite a bonus..., a much needed big laugh on the Bulletin Board ...to Wolfgang....ERES on steriods or after Guru has put his money into it!!! I am still laughing!!!
I plan to start a plan on the site...but want to work within your system correctly...
I thought I would scan stocks &2.00 - 12.00 that have consistanty risen over the past three months (TC-2000 formula)...set them up for pullbacks using X_DEV and then enter the trades in simvesting....
Do we need to register with simnvesting???
Let me know if this "works" for you....or what you think would be better???
Looking forward to getting back into the mix again!!!!"
"I don't understand why it's important to you if I make money or not but I do know you have the choice to eat at McDonalds, Burger King or my sandwich shop. At any of these places you can stop in and try the menu and services they offer. If you don't like them you can go next door. Eventually you will find someplace that fits your personality and style. I am glad you stopped by, but now I must get back to work." The owner of the sandwich shop shook my hand and headed back inside. I stood there for a moment, looked at McDonalds, then looked at the sandwich shop....................
Yes, the $1.95 fee is to keep out the noise posters... And it works....
Hope to see you there... Jimbob http://www.newinvestorprovinggrounds.com
That helps Tim, thanks.. give me a few and I will reply.

Tim, go to the site and take the tour. It explains what's going on clearly enough.

Niceboat, yes they are offline. I am not running the test on those stocks anymore. Do you own X_Dev???? It's pretty simple to run the tests yourself..
Jimbob
http://www.newinvestorprovinggrounds.com
Hey niceboat,
The port shows all the stocks that I watch as well as trade. If you take a closer look you will see that I am long in ACF and short in GYMB, and PIR. I am not trading AMZN right now. The 3 stocks you view in Guru's Gallery are the ones that I am currently trading.
The old x_dev test center is offline and I am currently running trades you can watch in Guru's Gallery.
In reply to:
Also, my suggestion.... can you, please, remove all stocks which lower then 1.5-2 bln in marketcap, please? Which are lower, are very danger... and can be manipulated immediately... as soon as any small interest occur for CEO or somebody...
My reply:
The trading simulation is the place to test the plans you develop with the NIPG Plan Builder. This is also the place to research an individual's performance. If you see someone doing well, you can check out their trading plan in the NIPG Plan Builder and find out what's going on. Trading performance can also give you a heads up when taking advice on a message board. You may find the guy with all the answers has the worst performance in the trading simulation.
My challenge to you niceboat, is to start a plan in the NIPG Plan Builder and join the trading group "Make A Trade".
Include in your plan that you will only trade stocks with a market cap greater than 1.5 bln. When you outperform my portfolio I WILL make the change.
See you there... JimBob

Lemonhead, I would have to say that the volume increase is a result of 3 things.
1. Just about anytime a company moves into an exchange the trading activity increases.
2. Their revenues increased by 30% and net income is up by 16%.
3. The current market rally we are experiencing.
Let me know what you think...
JimBob

Hey guys & gals, I think I got this link off this message board and I love it.. Probably best for new traders but I get it emailed every week. Thought I would post the link.. it might spure some conversation.

Hey, by the way... Now that you jumped ship on these stocks, which I tend to do all to often as well, what do you do now???
I would really like to know.. Do you go back after them again and if so, how?
Or, do you move on to greener pastures?
