Aren't the simple things in life so nice....... Lets go NVXE, NVEI, RSC ?
Ok Rim, I haven't spoke to Brad in over a year. I did have a couple brief e-mails. New Visual had suggested that there were NDA's in place and other Blackouts, in effect, when questioned about who they were dealing with in the past. New Visual suffers from a lack of credibility. I believe New Visual's shareholders do truely want to believe everything Brad say's to us. And he has said some remarkable things in recent letters and SHM 03 to us. I guess part of the problem lies in that only New Visuals board members are doing the talking. They are all paid, bias, individuals. It would be nice to hear about the value of our technology from another. Since many industry professionals have spoken to us and a few have seen it demonstrated, lets hear from them. This will not happen for obvious reasons. What could be just as beneficial though is to know the true identities of our 2 most recent testers. If there are no NDA's or blackouts in effect, give us this.

And away she goes
Rim semiconductor is in their late stages of development. Rim has spoken on a number of developments. I understand that many shareholders desire to see the results not hear about them. Rim (Brad) has given timelines for when we can expect to see these results. Since infornation is the driving force behind making an opinion as to what we feel RSC is worth, we all want more info. Our price per share is in turn a result of our fear and greed. Without more info, we fear more and can't "see" the promise of our greed (expectation for future value). So the price falls.
What next,,,, its up to each of us to decide. We can believe that they have this technology and will unvail it in approximately the time Rim has declared. Or we can move on. Crying on the board may capture the ear of our board but it certainly will create more fear and frusteration. I know of other developmental companies who speak far less and have less complaints from their shareholders. These boards can be as bad as they are good. We will decide.
What do you want this board to be? Do we have the right to control the board and affect others? Do our posts add to the value of this board or subtract?
Please give this some thought, the company is not at fault and they do not run this board, we do. Thank you. Best wishes to all and their investments.
Fam
Does that imply all monies and royalties received from SIL will be funnelled through top secret productions? And those books are hidden from us, are they not?
Well, we haven't asked for our shares back.
No, but not because they couldn't obtain a funding package. Rather because they feel there is enough money, from current sources, coming into the coffers to delay a formal funding package.
P.S. does anyone else have a love/hate relationship towards RSC?.....
did I miss something? the marketing campaign starts in March?

That was nice
The name change was the BOD's desire. They felt it was important. I'm sure that there are legal issues affecting the timing of the change. Additionally their could be valid reasons to move up or back the proposed and ratified name change. Lastly, I would think any tech related pr's coming up would be after the name change has occured. It would be nice for Groove to explain himself...or what they told him.
Its at the end of the SHM pdf file.......simple logo directed at the Pacific rim .... really doesn't matter what the logo looks like, just how the tech performs.....
Not so sure you have to be long here to make money. I'm in at 1.81 like to be lower but I'm not complaining...
They appear to be in web conferencing too. Could be an interesting future for them. http://www.loudeye.com
This forum is FOR discussion about RSC. Unfortunately many of your questions have no current answers. The *pain* you feel in waiting is just as real for others. Life is fast, slow down and enjoy today and everything that is in your control.
Just because your hungry doesn't make the lasagna get done any faster.
I'd like to say good post, but it was rather dark, lol.
The movie shouldn't be too surprising that it didn't bump the pps because what will? What do investors look for, profits. This movie is a one time deal, any profit forcasts of the movie are just barely enough to fund the tech to ASIC production.
Any funding package will firm the base but shouldn't pop the pps either, why, IMHDO the amount will not be big enough to sway interest in investors.
Rim has put all their eggs in one basket (if there was a hole in the basket, they wouldn't kill off the movie devision) the pps will move on what gets us excited. LOL, no not how may theaters, thats small time and benefits only our funding for R&D. What excites me, would be to hear the ASIC is finished, certain mergers or acquisitions, alliances with name industry leaders; anything that spells potential high profits.
This investment will not be like a smooth highway to profits, which is no surprise so if we accept it for what it is, a rough bumpy ride, we'll have a better emotional tollerence for these pps swings and verbal posts of concern & fear.
Best wishes and green investments to us all.
Oh dear, anology time. I like to use anologies myself to illustrate a point, but unfortunately they never quite compare specifically...but here goes with yours
Yes, the house you now live in is new. You may have some old furiture, some you like some perhaps not. Its the house and not the furiture that makes the declarature of where you live. Ok, what does that mean, the house is our business plan and the furniture are our directors of the company. We are no longer living at 3 D way and our house at Cu@ocx was distroyed by some old furniture that caught fired. We went to the furniture store to replace our lost furniture and were introduced to some furniture specifically designed for a high tech home We then bought them and Embarq'd into our new home.
We have a new business plan developed around new technology created by proven industry engineers. Some of the previous directors are the same but that doesn't make a bad company. Because they have moved around in their careers makes them all the more experienced. I do not keep my eyes closed a bit regarding this investment but I am letting Brad run with this and giving my vote of confidence until I see I do not like any possible new direction. Thats a personal decision we each make. Btw, if a baseball player moves to different teams does that make him less of a player? Sorry I did not address each comment line by line. Thats me.

When people mention; the past is behind us. We refer to the organization led by Ray and company. This New Visual Entertainment company which boasted 3D technology and a new communications technology by Blevins & Sheppard called Cu@ocx.
Yes, this past is behind us. Many of those BOD's are no longer with this present company. Of those that remain we are told more changes are imminent. The 3D and Cu@ocx technologies are no longer incorporated in our business plan.
Today, New Visual corporation no longer exsists and it is replaced with Rim semiconductor. The CEO of RSC, Brad Ketch comes from the heart of this industry. With over 18 years experience creating shareholder value through broadband telecommunications products and services, Mr. Ketch, from October 2001 to March 2002 served as CEO of Kentrox LLC, a manufacturer and marketer of data networking equipment. At Kentrox, Mr. Ketch was responsible for a company with 260 employees and $90 million in annual revenues. From January 2001 to October 2001 Mr. Ketch implemented strategic plans for telecom service providers and equipment manufacturers. From February 1999 to January 2001 he was senior VP of Sales and Marketing for HyperEdge Corporation, a company he co-founded. HyperEdge acquired and integrated broadband access equipment manufacturers to further enable service providers to deliver broadband access to the "Last Mile". Prior work experience included positions with Nortel Networks, Bell South and a division of Cincinnati Bell. Ray who has been instrumental in keeping New Visual afloat through this transition has handed the reins over to Brad to bring RSC to success. Although unpopular with many of the shareholders at the moment, still brings value and his commitment in helping Brad Ketch build this company.
Whereas some can not see his accomplishments, there exists much necessary progress under his short position at the helm. These accomplishments are not limited to having our technology Embarq finished and refined through our partner Zaiq industries. Brad has cleaned up our balance sheet and lowered expenses while we pursue the development of our first FPGA incorporating Embarq. He has opened the door for us to many of his valuable contacts in the industry.
To say nothing has been accomplished is your opinion of what you believe has occured. Shareholders wouldn't say that, investors who don't believe what the executives of their invested company's say , well they sell. Are you no longer a shareholder or do you believe Ketch and company are building Embarq technology?
Excel, I am not in this industry as you know, but all business is similar to an extent.
If I ran a big business and had money, and some group came to me and promised their product would revolutionize my business I probably would not believe them unless their finished product demonstrated it was possible.
So in talking to them they say, well we don't have a finished product, we have plans and a concept. This certainly would change how I look at them, perhaps to the point I don't even want to give them my time of day.
But they have a guy from the industry I've known for a long time and he says it the real deal. Ok, I'll run it through some tests, it passes them, cool.
So what do I do? Do I finance them? Well, anything I have to finish for another, control, as in my voice in their decisions alone, would not be even remotely be what I would expect, I would want a significant percentage of the profits from this tech.
If New Visual felt funding would not be available from other sources, that would not require giving up a portion of the campany then we would have heard from one of these "testers" in a PR about a partnership in bringing Embarq to market. This would be very financially detrimental to us Shareholders.
So it is of my opinion New Visual said thanks for testing and we'll get you the FPGA prototype to further test after our nondelutive funding goes through. This only applies if they know funding is coming from an alternative source to a high degree of certainty.
I will finish with this consideration, the further our product is along in its creation cycle the less we'll have to give away when we do partner with someone in the deployment of Embarq into the industry.
Yes they do Austin. They also know we will not like it. There could be a varity of reasons for not telling us.
The companies in question could have requested us not too. Many reasons for this as you can let your imagination run.
New Visual, like you infer, are stupid and don't realise the impact of telling us the names of these testers.
New Visual does not want the companies in question to be bombarded with questions from other companies and/or us.
New Visual is waiting for our FPGA to be completed before getting up on stage for the world to view and question.
So credibility need not be in question as much as they are following a predetermined plan in our technology development.
These are my opinions and not necessarilly reflect the real reasons, I believe they are indeed working on the tech so my opinions do not include possibilities of fraud.
The past is history. Whomever was running this company then, whatever their business was is over. Mistakes were made, positive steps were taken and a new CEO is on board to bring in this new technology. If one doesn't believe that, why stay. If one does believe it, then why talk about the past. So its not repeated? This company if they are who we think they are and have what we believe they have, will not make the same mistakes.
This stock has been manipulated many times. Every OTC stock is to a degree. We can no more stop that or the chatter that goes on here than we could stop the wind. What's to talk about anyways other than speculation.
Sure lets talk. But what do we know for certain.
Dead money
I really don't care for that term too much. Reflecting on the past it would seem acurate. The future, possibly but not necessarilly.
What makes any stock rise or fall. Funny the falling part with Rim doesn't seem to risky, but the rising part is always a possibility here. We have opportunities for different sorts of pps "rises" this year. Will we get them or more acurately will the market value them high enough to respond in a favorable way remains to be seen. But dead money, no more so here then elsewhere.
I look for more stocks to invest in, diversifing my portfolio. Looking into the future of them I can find no certainties. Looking into the past for others give no assurances they will continue in a positive direction. Lol, dead money, its more of a dead market. (expect for the few winners I find out about afterwards.)
You really think so..........more likely that decision was made after direct talks with different shareholders...this board should not be considered as a forum for creating corporate policy or decisions
Sorry, didn't mean to step on any toes. I used Alberto's formula for Reducing the Guard Interval Loss via Recursive Singular Value Decomposition , nah just a little humor.
To speculate on share values in the future, especially involving a company like NVEI/RSC is impossible, thats why I said at first I didn't want too. After being proded I guessed with my feelings of watching this highly critically evaluated company.
To use a formula per-se is equally vague or misrepresentative in that one must plug in too many unknowns involving our company at this point. The difficulty lies in the following example; RSC in their first year makes 25,000,000 in sales (more or less?). What will our O/S be at the end of 2004? Lets say it doubles approximately (136million) (is this too conservative or too optomistic). So our EPS is .184
How do we determine value? The market average for p/e ratios is 15-25. Semiconductors is 57.
http://www.investopedia.com/offsite.asp?URL=http://biz.yahoo.com/p/industries.html
Many don't show p/e's and some out way out there (Actel corp @ 869) What will the market value RSC at? We're at new company, no employees to speak of, no history in chips and not the friendlist of shareholders (lol); so lets say we'll have a 10 p/e ratio, thats 1.84 per share. You want to believe its the avg for the industry then its 10.49
Is there reason for optomism, absolutely, but lets get the revenues in the bank first before we argue on share values in a year.
No and No.
New Visual has yet to live up to their potential. Its possible but unlikely. I am not being negative. I believe we shall see nice gains in 2004. But more in the 1-2 dollar range. The ASIC will need time to be incorporated into the industry. I do not believe revenues will be high enough for 3.00 valuations. As for 2005, well I still believe after our BOD has "built out" Rim semiconductor we will acquired by another entity.
Whole market is down ,no?
I agree with your post; I do not like to evaluate this early on potential 10 baggers but that potential is here. Much to happen before then. Funding (various possibilities), M&A (could be quite interesting), Progess reports on FPGA and ASIC's, Contracts etc.
I believe NT answered that quite clearly in post # 16039
Most stock investments are considered good if they get 10-15% returns annually. Rim semiconductor has stated that the FPGA will be finished before the end of this year. Other developments will unfold as well. We have a new ball game here. Regardless of where you bought in, the pps is .34 today. From today onward I believe you'll find at least a modest gain this year still in the 15-20% range, that isn't bad. When you figure what you bought this stock for (since you've been around for awhile your avg is probably a lot higher) that may not be "thrilling" but if you pull out for some other investment morethan likely you'll do no better at best. This is just my humble opinion, which isn't worth much but a bone to chew on......
Next year (I really dislike the sound of that) we will be in a better place for substantial gains.
Austin, in the afterglow of our recent SHM, do you feel our shareprice will/can obtain 3.00 levels in 2004 and if so how much will we have to delute our shares (sell more 144's) to get the necessary funding and to obtain such a high value in one year (a ten bagger) due you feel it must accompany a increase in our foundation (expanding our product base as through M&A) or can this be accomplished through selling our ASIC's alone? TIA
Your beating a dead horse Ernie. We all wait for our Bowl to be filled with pudding. Because many/most have felt the pudding is late, they are angry. Most do not want to sell because they think the puddy will taste good. Until then I wouldn't expect any more bowls to be added here.
This stock has become way to personal to many of us. As Brady wrote; "Also, if this company soars, I will still call myself smart whether I am or not." LOL thats a IHUB classic.
Sure glad the SHM is today, what we lack the most on this board is what the company's viewpoint is these day. Not expecting any surprise but still hope and believe the pudding is tasty too.
Actually I am more of a pie man, life is full of options
Ok Greg, our company is on center stage now. We just got the biggest plug we've recieved in a looooong time. You say you would like to have nothing more than the stock go up on good news, but yet you march out on this stage take every advantage to slam the company. Hmmmmm.
No investor will buy NVEI because of the movie, there will be no dividends or anything....its the tech!
There is a time to offer criticism or vent. But when a company walks into the light on stage and the crowd heckles,,,,, no now is not the time. You just want to beat this horse. Yes mistakes were made in the past, but imo you are taking the wrong time to address them. Since you are so emotional about it, I know there will be no reason that you will not be in attendence this monday. Address your concerns then. Please let us know then after you have heard their plan and about their efforts for the last year, I'll be anxiously waiting your report TIA.
LOL, I'm sure nothing I will say will distract you from your cause. And in another time period I might agree with you.
I guess I can only hope that new investors do not find Ihub, for it has become a forum where people bash and vent like raging bull. I am not upset with anyone for voicing their opinion, but when they voice it without regard for other opinions by repeating it over and over in attempt to gather mob rule.....well is disappoints me.
This company is where we are today because of what the company has or has not done. No its not the shareholders fault, but if we shareholders stand at the door yelling fire, how many people do you think will enter.
I went out to buy some radish seeds. I like radishes. And I thought of your statement I know alot of people think I'm hurting my investment, and theirs, by pointing out what are my statements concerning the current share price value brought to us after all this time and dilution. Yet, I believe that isn't true one bit. This company is beyond the time period of the message board hurting them because of their track record. And I beg to differ.
We are now more so than in any recent time more vunerable to message board posts. In the light that long term shareholders are not influenced much I agree. But here comes one tech PR (regardless how much some may believe it affects our core technology) and then today, a long article about Ray, the movie and our current companies technology direction. And we, the long term shareholders, offer up doubt, critism and ridicule in regards to this new publicity!
So I'm driving to get these radishes, and I'm thinking. I read the business section to look for answers about what HAS happened and to find new ideas about what WILL or could happen. When we all buy a company at the same time were late and we sell at the same time we lose. We need to be ahead of the curve. This is not unique. We have a potential million readers possibly looking into whether NVEI is the next best thing around the curve ahead and they read this stuff from the companies shareholders and we are to believe, in absense of more formal information, that they will not be influenced by our posts, garbage.
There is a time and place for our concerns, namely this monday. We should look at the big picture here. New Visual corporation is about to change their name to Rim semiconductor. They are about to recieve new funding to finish out tech development and get it into ASIC form. We have had good and positive conversations with leaders in the industry who want our technology now. We have a good man Brad Ketch at the helm and we should give him the benefit of the doubt right now.
Next week we'll know if our team is coming through or not. We then can be justified to talk in greater detail. Our company is coming together and is getting new publicity in business areas, not the entertainment sections. But right now all is looking good. I'm excited. We are in at the early stages to make a good return on our investment. Feels like its football preseason, I know the Chargers are going all the way.
Think I'll go plant these seeds.
LOL, do we all need to get disclaimers now like you have
I appreciate your opinion on the perception of this article but I do feel I have to stress [You brought it up ] That the perception of a Rolodex investor would NOT be that of an average investor. Afterall, your inference to a "Rolodex Investor" is familiarity to you and the Industry. High in corporate rank as to converse with about sales, contracts or information. And intelligence as evident by that position, to steer though "noise" and see the big picture.
Can some be mislead, sure. But this will only last until our product is revealed.
As an investor, perhaps you are confused who runs the company. Is Brad Ketch a figure head to you or a CEO. Easy to question as this stage of the game. In time as our product matures that question will be answered as you see who talks and controls our company. Ray is in the spotlight today but that is because of the movie. As the movie fades and our technology takes over who do you think will then be in the spotlight. Morethan likely the one who speaks to the names on the Rolodex today.
Well Spoke you entitled to be negative. But lets clearify things a bit. Above the article is a large picture of Ray and below it is the caption "Ray Willenberg Jr.,chairman of New Visual Corp....." So whereas the writer of this article maybe confused at times, it is set straight and accurate at the start.
Additionally the article is about the movie and is good publicity, especially when Ray say; "Movies are our passion, but technology is the business," he said.
Ray indicates in this article he has no plans for additional films and the technology side will be far more profitable. If the tech wasn't working or had problems, One would certainly not cut off a future in movies that could be financially rewarding.
Ok, Spoke lets say you are a potential "Rolodex" investor, you are familiar with Brad. You would then also be familiar with his resume and the history of NVC. This article would mean nothing to you. You would have direct information about our technology and that is what would matter. Certainly I am not saying all information is public now, but any professional would not be confused about this article and what we are doing. Admittedly most are waiting like us for the official unvailing.
This article will be read by potentially a million readers. It is the individual investor that will read this article and perhaps pursue further into investing in NVEI and want a part of a business that will become far more profitable than "Step into Liquid".
And since being perhaps you think "overly optomistic" I will remove all doubt, I can't help but remember Qualcom buying the naming rights of Jack Murphy stadium. I thought what a stupid name, a wireless company. If I had looked further into that company that was splashing on the scene. I could have....well, speculative developmental companies are for dreamers. This article is good publicity. Where it goes from here is entirely up the the management of New Visual. The door is open.
BTW, this article is on the front page of the business section of the San Diego Union-Tribune. Sixth largest city in the USA. It is bold and taking up over 50% of the page. Great visiblity and right before our SHM for new investors to start their DD with come monday! Go NVEI!
I could be wrong, but I believe the device displayed at last year's SHM was a blank card that would be what our prototype looked like if the FPGA were loaded onto it. At the time it was significant because prior to that we believed it was so large that it would cover the surface of 1 table.
There will always be buying and selling on any particular day. In regards to the upcoming SHM there are generally two schools of thought.
1) The shareholders meeting will be an emotional disappointment which results in increased selling the following day.
2) The shareholders meeting will offer good news and information that will increase buying the following day.
So regardless of how any individual or group may feel towards one school of thought, there exsists others who hold onto the other.
The daily fluctuation in price is expected to remain volatile as indicated in all our companies SEC filings. That my friend you can certainly count on. Some good, some bad.
I don't go to the movies very often, nor am I a surfer (my only experience I almost drown, lol). BUT....
Step into Liquid was a great movie to see. The documentary was only soo so interesting but the locations and visual effects were great and well worth the effort of going to the movies. How often do you see surfers with no camera magic surf 50ft waves !
