Hey Dr. Mike,
Again thanks to you and all who attended the SHM. The info sure has been a boost to all of us following NEOM.
All of your positive impressions of management is another huge plus.
This company is at the forefront of the "Next Big Thing" in investing which is mobile search communications. Now we have more info to remind us of that when doubts creep in.
Hate to beat a dead horse, but patience and determination is key.
DannyJoe
Nonewsyet
Is this a positive statement regarding NEOM happenings or just an opinion?
DannyJoe
Your're right Boldini,
Everyone that's going to the SHM needs to act in a professional manner.
If the meeting turns into a shouting match they may just end it on the spot, and that helps no one but the shorts.
Don't have your expectations too high for new info so that you aren't all bent out of shape. Go in expecting little, and hopefully we will find out what is going on.
I'm as frustrated as anyone, but let's not blow our chance to talk to these guys directly for information.
DannyJoe
Notice that TS comments were stating over the next couple of years he is expecting to pay for his house as the search and navigation craze takes hold.
This is just all getting started. We have quite a ways to go.
DannyJoe
Let's not get carried away with the lowball predictions.
All this negative energy only makes it worse.
DannyJoe
Jonesie,
Your're right, it could get scary here for a couple days.
Don't let your emotions overtake you everybody.
This company still has great long term prospects.
Beacs, myself, and others have always said it was going to take another year or two for mobile navigation to become hot.
My pps is about .42, so I'm feeling the pain also. I guess we all have to make our choices, and live with them.
It's not easy to become rich. (Or everyone would be)
DannyJoe
I also voted against the stock option plan to atleast send a message that the plan is too generous.
I like the idea that it should be results based instead of just doled out no matter what, although for them to really cash in they obviously have to make the company successful.
The people that are going to the SHM should bring this up.
DannyJoe
PS A million shares to be on the board, and double that to chair a commitee is over the top.
SS
I stand corrected. Thanks.
DannyJoe
Menamike,
I was wondering that same thing also. It sounds like a description of Neom only with a different name. Let's hope they bought a license from Neom to do that. The registery
thing bothers me also. Any comments?
One last point, why does the pondering primate have no problem mentioning all kinds of other companies by name ,but can never mention Neom directly? What is up with that?
Still long and hoping that we have something substantial at the SHM. We need to get things moving!!!
DannyJoe
Dr. Mike,
My brokerage house is TD Waterhouse, and I received my shareholder package in the mail on Monday.
DannyJoe
For Discussion All;
I was reading over the stock options plan for Neom's board of directors, and would like other shareholders' opinions.
Is it just me or is our stock option plan a little too loose?
The directors received 750,000 shares each in 2004, and 1,000,000 shares in 2005. In addition, if they chaired a committee the amount was doubled. Is this kind of dilution normal?
Just curious about this issue.
DannyJoe
koko,
Looks like we had the same thoughts regarding hangdog's post.
You beat me to the punch, and stated it better than I did.
This board is an important link in the chain for NEOM.
Thanks moderators, and all the folks who spend time educating us all about NEOM and the future of mobile.
DannyJoe
Hangdog
Thanks for sharing that you talked to NEOM today.
The ladies' comment that the shareholders have turned out to be the best marketers for the company implies that the ball is rolling faster and faster. That statement confirms to me that all the e mails by SOG and too many others to mention is having a positive affect.
I also believe that this site has a huge amount of lurkers who not only may be shareholders, but also potential users of the technology from NEOM.
Keep up the great work all.
DannyJoe
Dr. Mike
OT: Thanks for the reply. I'll have to check out Strategic Investor. It sounds like they are more stable than T.S.
My problem is that I have a good portion of my assets in NEOM, so I'm not able to buy a whole lot of other stocks right now.
Did I see in another post that you are a PirateInvestor too? Porter has had alot of good calls this year.
I don't think I be able to make it to Ft. Myers for the annual meeting, but sure hope to go to Vegas. Still waiting patiently. Thanks for all your info.
DannyJoe
Dr. Mike,
I too am choosing not to renew my Changewave subscription. The problem I have is that he recommends too many stocks and you don't know which ones to buy. He has had some winners, but alot of losers also. He also tells you to sell winners way too soon and have seen stocks I made money on go up 3 or 4 times more after I sold. I always seem to buy the losers and not buy the winners in many cases. Over all I have lost money.
Let's hope he redeems himself with NEOM. If we are patient I think he will.
We are very similar in shares owned and price paid.
DannyJoe
Beacon,
Couldn't have said it better myself.
Time... It will take time.
DannyJoe
Kokonutguy
Point well taken. I'm still a staunch believer. Picked up another 20,000 shares this morning.
By the way, appreciate all the work you moderators do. This board is the best for info and dicussion. Thanks again.
DannyJoe
Lesnshawn,
Thanks, sometimes with all the possibilities it gets confusing. Your other posts helped too.
DannyJoe
Right on Cabernet
It's important to have your ducks in a row so you don't fall flat on your face, but speed to market is also very important.
Let's hope they don't dink around too long. There are alot of smart people out there devising new ways of doing things everyday.
You made alot of good points regarding the consumer too.
Let's go NEOM!
DannyJoe
Does anybody have any info whether this gentleman who is starting this network is correct that the service providers won't let paperclick on their network unless they get paid. I guess the software can be on the phones, but he is saying that the networks can block it's use if they want to. Would that be correct?
Could that be why things are taking so long because NEOM has to hash out agreements with all the different carriers, cell phone makers, ad agencies, 20% equity gorilla etc., etc.?
I still think that when all the mobile stuff catches on, the networks will have to offer this service or they will lose customers. The problem may be that while mobile is still in it's infancy they will want paid. Any thoughts or commets.
DannyJoe
Tonguehair,
Don't know if NEOM will share any revenue with SPs or exactly how that will work. What I do know is that if any SP that doesn't have the next big thing on their phones, will lose customers.
Can you imagine a teenager going to buy a phone and they say
"Oh sorry, we don't have text messaging". They would get up and walk out the door. You have to keep up with the latest tech or your customers walk.
This technology will be driven by advertisers, and the public as they discover what paperclick can do for them, not the SPs.
Mobile is going to be the new frontier for advertsing. They know that most people ignore their ads. With mobile they can target their audience better, and even draw them in voluntarily with promotions, contests, coupons, etc. etc.
It takes time for new tech to catch on. I'm not saying management has been perfect, but we don't know what we don't know about how all this is unfolding. There must be thousands of details to work out before you can unveil a new product, not to mention that tech is a moving target with new innovations coming along all the time(Mobot).
DannyJoe
P.S. I can understand why any investor who has owned this stock for years is tired of waiting, but I don't think selling your shares is the wise move. It's hard work becoming a millionaire.
Beacon,
We've been on the same wavelength for quite some time. Couldn't agree with you more.
DannyJoe
Interesting topic by Andy Rooney on 60 Minutes tonight. He was complaining about all the telephone poles defacing the cities and countryside. He commented that he can't wait until the world goes wireless so many of these poles can be removed.
Just one more small piece of the puzzle that's going our way. Andy still uses a typewriter and has always rejected technology. Now even he sees a benefit to it, even if it is an unintended benefit. The world is coming our way, slowly but surely. Even grumpy Andy Rooney is advocating wireless, and he doesn't like anything.
Go NEOM!!!!!
DannyJoe
in4it,
Just a better way of saying what I just posted a few minutes ago. It's gonna happen. The only question is how soon. I like the way you think. Putting this puzzle together is hard work, and time consuming. Hang on everybody.
Go NEOM!!!!!
DannyJoe
Mickey,
I heard pay per click also. Folks, we are at the center of the universe of the next big thing. Local search, and targeted advertising is the new advertisers' dream. It's coming, it's coming, and it is us.
The only thing you have to realize, and accept is that it is going to take a year or two to really take off. All the big internet players know about local search, and are trying to position themselves. The general public doesn't have a clue yet. We are ahead of the rest of the world, but they will catch up to us. We just have to hold on to be richly rewarded.
DannyJoe
Thanks for the info. It looks like the registry is moving along nicely. Good to hear that hundreds, and or thousands of word requests are in the pipeline. This should translate into good numbers for the 4th Q and beyond assuming they have the resources to research the words and finalize sales as soon as possible. I'm sure we would all love to keep hearing the latest info that you can divulge on the company.
Go NEOM!!!!!
DannyJoe
Boy you have been gone for awhile. SAIC was dumped and replaced by Silicon Space to finish the Word Registry interface. It was officially launched last Monday at the CITA mobile tech conference.
Generic words like pizza would probably be used in conjunction with GPS to find pizza in local areas. If it was to cover the whole country I would think it would be very, very expensive. Don't claim to be an expert on on the details of this. We are all still learning how the word registry will work.
Go NEOM!!!!!
DannyJoe
Moxa,
This is why a F 100 company partnership could be so important. If we have Intel, MSFT, P&G, or whoever working with us, the infringing could be nipped in the bud. Not too many companies would want to get into a long battle with a partner of one of the big boys. Like you said, "We'll see".
DannyJoe
YJ,
Thanks so much for all the info. It's great to find out what really is going on so that all the fretting about PRs can simmer down. Like you said, patience is the key word.
The one thing that I take away from your reporting is that it is going to take alot longer than many would like for this to really take off big. I posted a few months ago that I thought it would take 1 to 3 years for the big pay off, and I stand by that prediction. I know several others have said the same thing.
That's not to say that the stock can't or won't go up steadily as this next big thing ramps up. Business deals take time to work out and implement, so we just have to deal with it.
DannyJoe
Mikeygold,
Thanks for the info. Sure hope Ebay negotiations work out, along with the other irons in the fire. Can you tell me how EZTO would make money if they make a deal? Per use or maybe a flat fee for the use of EZTOstream? What would your guess be?
Also recieved newsletter which was a pleasant surprise.
DannyJoe
Zacked,
I have stated that my preference would be Google as our 20% partner rather than MSFT. It's not that I don't like and respect MSFT, it's just that Google is the hot new company on the block. Actually I will be thrilled if in turns out to be MSFT. They are a great company, and will make an outstanding partner. I guess it's just a matter of degree and opinion as to which would be better. I can think of several more that would be great also. Let's just get this thing rolling.
Go NEOM and Partner!!!!!
DannyJoe
The EZ2Stream/Ebay partnership could be big for the company and the stock eventually.
This dog (EZTO) may actually hunt one of these days.
DannyJoe
You're right. I like the idea that so many people are checking out the site that it temporarily went down.
No doubt about that.
Vines,
Let's hope they are integrating Mobot or a new partner into their website. Can't think of a better thing to do the day before CTIA conference opens. Maybe just wishful thinking on my part, but a possibility.
Go Neom!
DannyJoe
Banks,
I agree, cause if it goes up too far too fast, the profit takers will rush in and very likely knock the share price right back down. A long steady uptrend really would be best.
DannyJoe
More pieces to the big puzzle. I like hearing that Foot, Cone and Belding (NEOM partner) is working directly with Google.
DannyJoe
KGR
Mentioning Google is possibly a hint of an alliance with NEOM, or they just wanted to associate NEOM with one of the hottest companies on earth. Let's hope it's the former.
T-Minus 0 seconds BLAST OFF !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
DannyJoe
Hangdog,
Gee I like that kind of talk.
I would hope that we all would hold out for atleast $5.00 a share. Long term it should go much higher.
Picked up another 20,000 shares myself last Thurs. and Fri.
Just couldn't resist.
Go NEOM!!!!!
DannyJoe
It should be Msft. If they are serious about burying Google this would be a good start. The problem is they have become too big and too slow. I would prefer Google as the new partner, but they haven't called me yet to ask my opinion.
We will fly no matter who it is, but it will take some time to get this introduced and the public to catch on.
Go NEOM!!!!!
DannyJoe
