That would be neat to see........
But I get it, that can be hard to upload on here.
Cheers
Ducati
Do they allow you to take pictures of the tanks?
That would be cool!
Cheers
Ducati
I believe SHMP should go to full transparency mode. I think they should post pictures of the ENTIRE operation, complete with surface to underwater video of ALL VIABLE tanks
We are not talking about Area 51 here…………….
We are talking about investors wanting to see where SHMP is at in the PROCESS.
If they do in fact have a bunch of fat, happy and elderly shrimp...SHOW US
Some video and pictures posted to the site is an AWESOME free PR
Is that unfair to ask?
Cheers!
Ducati
Maybe they should make some money at home base first...........
Ducati
This company has BEEN an utter Failure IMO
Why did they not sell what they had in the tank to a high end restaurant?
Get the ball rolling.....PROVE they have a viable product. The sale did not have to be HUGE, just a statement.
And YES...a HARVEST report WAS needed to prove that they are doing it well!
If this company was viable, a TON of ANGELS would have came in and they would have shook up aquaculture as we know it....THEY DID NOT
I am so glad I sat on the sidelines from the 20's
In the OTC, LONGS always say....tomorrow, next week...oh, next year.
At the end of the day....if you lose your ass....nobody cares!
Cheers
Ducati
I think the trade show was the canary in the coal mine.
If SHMP had in fact re-defined aquaculture as we know it, I would think it would have reverberated throughout the industry.
It did not seem to.
Cheers!
Ducati
Maybe not....but he had the opportunity to drink/smoke in excess.
The point is, No PEOPLE die from farm raised shrimp
Can you give a link of those that have died from farm raised shrimp?
I would think the CDC or the New England Journal of Medicine would have published that.
PS....when I was a kid, we rode our bikes with NO helmet, drank out of hoses and rode in the back of trucks. STILL HERE
Cheers!
Ducati
My grandfather drank a lot, smoked (Cigarettes) a lot....but at 90 he did not say, "It was those damn farm raised shrimp that are killing me!"
Too funny!
Cheers
Ducati
The ocean is resilient. We do catastrophize, and some have said that the shrimp we eat is riddled with toxins.
I have lived long enough to see lawsuits against the tobacco industry, McDonald’s (for coffee that is too hot) but I have never witnessed a lawsuit against a seafood chain for killing a loved one.
In fact, living on the east coast, I have seen a glut. Lobster fisherman often sell out of the back of a pick-up truck to tourists because they get more than market price!
By-catch is a problem, and in my opinion fisherman should be required to work with local markets to sell ALL of the catch…..Dogfish, Skate and even the Invasive lionfish are all good! Try them.
Aquaculture will always have a place. But with proper management, the situations is not as dire as we are led to believe….It’s not all or nothing.
Cheers!
Ducati
I guess the part I don’t understand is the trade show results.
If SHMP was able to sell the fact that they have proven superior live counts, why did this not induce a bidding war for a company that reinvented aquaculture as we know it?
Cheers!
Ducati
Sorry for those that bet and lost the farm on this ticker.
When I was in 6th grade, we had a weekly class on the stock market. We were asked to cut ticker symbols from the newspaper and do are best to justify our picks.
We did not have the internet, and again we were IN 6TH GRADE!
We asked our parents and did the best "DD" we could do.
Ultimately that 6th grade class was priceless!
I recently talked to a freshman in college who "majored" in finance.
I asked him about some recent IPO's and he said "what is an IPO?"
Again, for those who lost the nest egg, you were afforded different opinions..The Truth was out there.
Cheers!
Ducati
OK those look REALLY REALLY GOOD!
Are those NS? If so, you should be in the advertising department!
Cheers!
Ducati
Thank you for the "normal" nice reply.....
I hope we see dollars, just understand that nobody wants to be a bag-holder in the OTC and everyone is looking for the best entry!
That may be .18, we don't Know!
Cheers
Ducati
That may all be so, I just value the company less than you do.
We both have the right to think the way we do.
Cheers!
Ducati
This is why I will forever think that Pilots are much smarter than Dr.'s...
Yes I am an Air Force Vet and had a lot of rocky landings on c-130's
However, when I was 16 I moved to Hawaii (on my own) to study aquaculture.
During final approach, a blast of wind hit us and nicked the left wing. The Pilot pulled up and circled prior to another landing. All of our lives were in his or her hands at that point and I will never forget it!
As far as the S/P....I just see a lot of stagnation and a slow bleed down. That is MY OPINION.
I really think they need to re-define themselves to get in the dollar range. I hope they do!
Cheers!
Ducati
And I believe SHMP is something to take a look at between .02-.05.
IN MY OPINION that is a fair market price.
Again, we should be able to "agree to disagree"
Cheers!
Ducati
It would be interesting to see how high end Restaurants request their shrimp...I am a huge fan of "Legal Seafood" and I plan to call them and ask.
Maybe they want them "au naturel" just like you were served!
A "blank canvas" if you will.
That certainly would make "processing" a non-event for the short term.
This would maintain prospective eyes on a "grow-out" system while SELLING SHRIMP
But again, if that is the case....I really think they need to be reaching out to high end seafood establishments and selling by the pound. That is another good question. How many pounds if shrimp does a High end place burn through in a week? I have no idea, but plan to ASK!
The feedback from those Chef's would start the ball rolling
Never a bad time to start networking!
That is what I want to see, and I am sure many others do as well!
Cheers!
Ducati
How did they prepare them for you guys when you visited. Were they direct from the tank to boiling water, peel and eat?
Thanks!
Ducati
The person that asked about the "processing" of the shrimp had a great point.
You don't just rip them out of the tank and sell them. I realize they have not had to worry about "selling" the shrimp....but this is a very important aspect.
And again, why are they not selling the SHRIMP they have on hand to local buyers? I would assume high end seafood restaurants would clean and devein on a small scale basis
Can anyone answer that?
Cheers!
Ducati
I think that showing they can sell all the shrimp they have on hand at any given moment would be HUGE!
Cheers!
Ducati
I don't understand why they don't sell the remaining shrimp they have in the tank.
I realize they will not be able to show a viability rate at this point, but why not sell what they have on hand and show the ease of sale/liquidity?
The "experiment" is over. They have documented water parameters from day one to maturation.
Cheers!
Ducati
Of course it "could" anything is possible. I just think for new money, .02 is a lot more plausible than 1.00.
Who knows.
Cheers!
Ducati
I like this ticker, but I see it as a “buy” around .01 or .02.
It is completely my right to THINK that.
I DID think the ask was fair not too long ago, but I just don’t feel that anymore
In my opinion, someone should NEVER put money in a pink and WAIT.
How many OTC tickers ever go on to a dollar? Almost NONE
I really think these guys should have remained private. …Retained some “Angels” and launched after profitability.
I am a huge fan of management living off a salary of 0 dollars and 0 cents until THEY MAKE MONEY…..Mac and Cheese baby!
it's called respect for the shareholder!
They have so much debt and nothing to show for it.
Cheers!
Ducati
We went from sand filters (First point of contact) to Ozone, to degas....before return
I called are generator "old faithful" because while I loved the smell of Ozone in the morning, we often had to "tweak her" but she always left us crystal clear
The intent of the sand filters was not meant to be a giant fluidized bed/biological contact chamber
City water B/W's would put and end to that Nitrosomonas love anyhow.
We used ORP probes to dose accordingly.
I bet new Generators have ORP probes built into the units and they are turn-key.
No sub. for Ozone, I really don't see how people managed massive/high bio-load systems effectively before it's invention.
Skimmers are a close second in the Marine realm.
I too like the fluidized concept, and think I still have a few silica/fluidized bed chambers around!....genius.
AS ALWAYS.....JUST MY OPINION
Cheers!
Ducati
Ok, let me wrap my head around this....
I agree with you, it's fun to talk about what system they are running. However, if anyone on this board could do it better, faster and more efficient we would be running Shrimp farms in our backyard!
Cheers!
Ducati
Why would you mix a silica and something like pea gravel with carbon.
Carbon becomes exhausted, is soft, and is impossible to to separate if the system clogs and needs servicing.
That is why people differentiate and put chemical media in separate reactors for ease of use.
Cheers!
Ducati
If they have found a way to put it all together....that is awesome and props to them.
That WOULD be a gold mine.
I was just looking at the viability in places (such as farm land) that do not have options available to dispose of waste water.
That is why I thought about the possibility of using the water with the dissolved organics as a possible fertilizer/irrigation system.
Just trying to think outside the box and make lemonade out of lemons and thinking about franchise opportunities on "idle" land such as small plots of CRP.
Cheers!
Ducati
I am not questioning the "process" I only pointed out that most systems do not b/w chemical media. That is why I found it odd, or a possible mistake between carbon and silica.
I guess they have figured it out
Ducati
That makes sense....I was talking about areas that do not have that option.
Such as farm land!
Sorry, after I moved from MA to IA I think I am starting to think of the "farmers" point of view more so than city folk
Cheers
Ducati
Depending on what cesspool situation your dealing with, the sight glass might not run clear (the gold/eyeball standard) until 20 thousand gallons have ran through it.
Cheers!
Ducati
It is not plausible to "re-generate" the carbon, and only pre-filters can stop the tower from being clogged.
It is not common to "fluidize" carbon in a b/w. It is not "common" to b/w carbon at all
That is why I wonder what they use prior to carbon exposure
Ducati
To be honest....full throttle city can turn carbon to dust, and just expel it during a B/W.
To be honest, the size of the "carbon tower" dumbfounds me. It can only absorb so much, and then it leaches. That would be a massive leach if the "Carbon tower guy" was not proactive..........
But I wonder, if the dissolved organics in a City B/W might be of use to farmers?.....maybe as a fertilizer/irrigation source?
Ducati
Well you do now........
I would never "make stuff up"
Cheers!
Ducati
I have nothing but respect for those 2 touring/posting about the facility. But a backwash is clearly referenced!
That is a good thing if they are. In my opinion.
Ducati
Did they backwash the Carbon Tower?
Right on....I would assume they backwash until the water in the sight glass runs clear.
Depending.....that could be a big or small W/C.
Cheers!
Ducati
Of course they are doing water changes….even the 2 shareholders on the tour were told they “backwash” the filters…..Do you think they reclaim that water? In addition, a “reef tank” has a minimal bio-load and still needs (in my opinion) small water changes. Just look at your LPS corals after a w/c….They explode!
Cheers!
Ducati!
I really like this company, and want them to "do the right thing when nobody is looking" as we say in the Military.
If they report big salaries when they are bringing in ZERO profit, I will throw up in my mouth.
I hope that is not the case!
YAY SHMP!
