Some comments on possible partnerships and new products:
You are welcome jb. Found the study on v3 website.
Have you seen what'sapp to be acquired by Facebook for 19 billion.
What'sapp is a messaging app from a startup tech company. They are Cross platform for 6 operating systems and have 450 million people using them around the world. They charge 99 cents for year and the texting between different phones is free! They plan to add 1 million customers a day.
I don't see any other revenues. Their platform is free from ads, so there is no ad revenue. They do not advertise and according to a press release, they focus on the essentials, like food, clothing and shelter.
Now that got me thinking!
Spihf is
1) cross platform
2) turnkey solution for virtualization
3) affordable. The cost savings are enormous and worth many times of the initial cost
4) speed
5) contacts are vast across all industries
6)case studies from various industries clearly demonstrate the superior quality of service
7) revenues could be atleast 100 million assuming 4% of the 100 million customers from Corel
8) shipments of the sphere/v3/overland already started since dec/jan
9) a very hot industry
10) our product is anti platform. Any machine connected to the internet would suffice. No need to buy anything more
What is spihf truly worth here? This is no joke once we grasp the potential here. All I can say is OMG! WOW!
What are we truly worth 2B? 4B? 10B?
All IMHO
Good luck and this will be a life changing experience soon!!!
I wish I were there!

VDI's Fatal Flaw: V3 Solves the Latency Bottleneck
Provided by V3 Systems, Aug 2013
Executive Summary
Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), when done correctly, can outperform and provide a better end user experience than a physical desktop or laptop. However, understanding deployment architecture options, network latency, and storage latency are key to a successful VDI deployment. VDI solutions offer organizations many advantages compared to physical PCs including: Lower TCO over three to five years, Decreased total energy consumption and heat output, Easier for IT staff to deploy and manage large numbers of Windows desktops and Increased security. The challenge is, traditional VDI deployments suffer from one systemic problem - network latency inherent within the architecture slows overall throughput causing a performance bottleneck.

Here is another great article:
Customers Love Our High Performance Virtual Desktops. Is it the VDI TCO or is it the intangibles? We don’t really care.
Posted by Rodney Rasmussen on Thu, Feb 09, 2012
I’ve written blogs about VDI TCO in the past. VDI TCO implies a cold-blooded analytical measurement of a product’s financial performance. It has its place and we stand behind our VDI TCO numbers, which in hindsight appear to be very conservative.
VDI TCOEmpirical data on the other hand cannot be generalized to every user in the same way. However, in some ways empirical information has a greater credibility to those interested in the same product’s ability. Everyone loves the hardcore and deep analysis that comes from Gartner or Forrester. Where does a product lie on the “Magic Quadrant”? That has its place, but if you ever attended a Gartner forum with an open discussion and you hear “real” world experiences, good or bad, that’s where the rubber hits the road. Those people who shared their experiences are immediately approached at the end of the forum for more information about that experience.
Now that V3 has many customers, the empirical evidence is overwhelmingly positive. In fact, I can’t think of one bad experience. For a variety of compliance reasons, not every customer can publically share his experience, but we have more and more customers willing to tell the V3 story. The video case study below tells one such story. Clearlink, a very successful content conversion company with large call centers, shares “real” life experience of the V3 solution. The Clearlink experience is very typical of what our other customers are also telling us. Below are some paraphrased examples:
IT manager: “I never thought I would use a virtual desktop, but this thing is so fast, I use it as my primary desktop”
Desktop administrator: “I love the appliance model. I can implement, and manage the VMs without hassling the network or storage guys”.
IT manager: “Compared to traditional desktops or other VDI solutions, there’s nothing to manage with V3’s system”
CIO: “When I found myself stuck in traffic I opened up my 3G iPad, logged into my dedicated V3 virtual machine, and got a bunch of work done. When I got home, I was free. We are converting the entire company to V3’s system”
Engineering Firm: “Running AutoCAD (remotely) on a V3 appliance was amazing. It would cost me $7 to $12 thousand to build a stand-alone PC that could do that.”
Help desk manager: “I’m rethinking my whole manpower model for support. I may only need half the number of support people that I anticipated”
VDI TCO is great and some customers decide on V3 because it has a very compelling VDI TCO story. Others decide based on a discussion with other users about the intangibles. Frankly we don’t care which reason they choose, we just like it when their expectations are exceeded and they gush about V3.
Five security risks of moving data in BYOD era
Summary: Unregulated network access, lack of data management and disgruntled employees are some top risks companies face in terms of safeguarding data even as employees use their mobile devices for work.
Our products solve all these problems
From the company's Videos, Case studies and testimonials we can see that:
1) Virtual desktop data management is very easy, not much work involved for the IT administrator
2) Employees love it, they even ask for or PREFER Virtual desktops because of the speed.
3) There is very little down time, if one unit goes down, the failover feature takes care of it immediately
I agree with you Dan. The fact that V3 is taking 2/3 of the deal(initial and earnout) talks volumes and bodes well for the company. It tells me that they are very confident of the success of the product and the pps a year from now. For ex, if the pps is 100 in a year, they would make atleast 100mil plus on the deal.
Another great thing is that all the key employees will be working with us which is a Win Win Win Win Win situation for V3, Sphere, Overland, the Clients and the shareholders.
I watched their videos and their bio yesterday. I couldn't help but marvel at their creativity, smarts, and goofy nature. I believe thats how Creativity is fostered. One got to be loose to think 'outside of the box'. No wonder Google is so succesful!
As the Progressive pointed out, 'what's important here is not what we know, but rather 'what we don't know'

Thank You JB
Your statement " Corel isn't the only software company that would like to see its fully functional products available on any device, using any operating system. Hard to believe that, Corel, the 5th largest software company in the world currently offers no access to mobile users" made my head spin. Given the extensive
cellphone industry background of our CTO John M, the potential is there for a large cell phone company to sign a deal with us to Glassware their appliance.
Looking at the the breadth of contacts of V3 systems across the various industries, I am very optimistic that these cost savings are real, hence the product Sphere/V3/Overland will be a great success to save these companies a ton money.
Some articles that caught my attention:
1)Takaful Malaysia virtualizes servers for cost-efficiency

2)Case study: Retail chain eases IT manpower with desktop virtualization
Summary: Malaysia's supermart giant Mydin reduces the time needed to roll out new software patches from 120 man-hours to just 15 minutes, and minimizes maintenance with thin-client devices that use few mechanical parts.
Highlights from this case study:
"With thin clients, you save money from lower power usage and minimum management because these devices use few mechanical parts."
— Malik Murad Ali, Mydin's IT director
What: Malaysian retail chain virtualized its server, application, and desktop environments with Citrix XenServer, XenApp, and XenDesktop
Key business benefits:
• reduced time to roll out new software patch from over 120 man-hours to 15 minutes
• lower device maintenance since thin clients use few mechanical parts
• better bandwidth utilization
• new application functions can be rolled out from one centralized network, saving manpower
• better server utilization

Now consider the opportunities for our product which is
1) cross platform 2) 2-8 times faster than the traditional desktop
3) Cost effective which means companies not only can survive but also add to their bottom line in this competetive environment.
I think the adoption of our product is a no-brainer.

Additional Benefits
Improved Manageability
Legacy virtual desktop management is performed by a combination of SAN, networking, and core infrastructure administrators, which is unnecessarily complicated and expensive because of the large number of people involved. Moreover, it leaves desktop administrators completely out of the equation. V3’s simplified Desktop Cloud Architecture returns desktop control back to desktop administrators who can now manage thousands of desktops remotely, from centralized or decentralized locations.
Each appliance is compatible with V3 Desktop Cloud Orchestrator™ (V3 DCO) which provides a simple user-friendly interface for managing dedicated virtual desktop pools on V3 Systems appliance(s). It also provides enhanced functionality such as failover and restore via V3’s Optimized Desktop Allocation™ (V3 ODA). V3 DCO communicates with VMware View and vCenter to enable management of your dedicated virtual desktop pools.
Improved Scalability
The V3 appliance can easily scale to accommodate business and desktop needs. With its seamless integration into existing environments or new installations, the V3 appliance can deliver a solution that grows as your company grows. Need to expand your desktop cloud infrastructure to support another 50 to 400 users? Simply add another 1U or 2U appliance to your current infrastructure.
Because the V3 appliance density and performance is so high, deployments result in lower sprawl with efficient machines that “drop in” to scale from 100’s, to 1000’s, even 10’s of thousands without compromising V3’s Performance Guarantees. Download Whitepaper
Lower Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
Your cost benefits are derived from the way V3 implements Desktop Cloud Computing. By replacing high-density disk arrays with more cost-efficient V3 appliances, operational costs are lowered. V3 appliance density results in lower sprawl, reduced energy consumption and cooling costs; more efficient machines result in lower total cost of ownership without sacrificing performance, availability or utilization. And depending on the type of desktops you are replacing, V3’s solution can provide you with maximum savings when you replace higher-cost PCs with V3’s Desktop Cloud Computing. Download Whitepaper
Simplify VDI deployment with V3’s drop-in appliance
V3 Systems has simplified desktop virtualization infrastructure with an innovative server appliance that makes it possible to achieve virtual desktop performance that is 200%-800% faster than physical desktops, hosted from a single 1Uor 2U server appliance. This means that companies will save money and time using V3's drop-in appliance due to the fact that it is pre-optimized to guarantee performance, utilization, and availability. The high-density V3 appliance supports 50 – 400 virtual desktops with minimal IT support; it is platform agnostic and integrates with virtually any existing or new infrastructure.
Energy Efficient
V3’s simplified architecture offers an ideal green solution with an appliance that not only provides superior performance, but unprecedented system efficiency as well. Through our all-in-one architecture, server equipment, energy usage and cooling requirements are all vastly reduced with the net effect being an environmentally responsible solution that consumes up to 80% less energy than physical desktops. Reduced hardware and energy requirements further translate into lower capital and operating expenditures making V3 virtual desktops the most efficient and cost effective virtual desktop solution on the market today.
Availability
Availability refers to the reliability of a solution to maintain service to users over time and without interruption. Availability forms the core of a solution’s value to an enterprise, as interruptions to user work equate to breaks in the continuity of a company’s operations. V3 Virtual Desktop Solutions provide superior availability over networked desktop and laptop configurations through two main advantages: enabling failover and reducing administrative downtime.
Enabling Failover
Each V3 Appliance is compatible with V3 Desktop Cloud Orchestrator (V3 DCO) management software providing a user-friendly interface for managing dedicated virtual desktop pools. Within the V3 DCO suite, V3’s Optimized Desktop Allocation software (V3 ODA) manages failover capabilities, guaranteeing each and every virtual desktop hosted by the V3 server appliance is always available to end users.
What is V3 ODA?
V3 ODA oversees the performance of the V3 server appliance through virtual agents. Think of these agents as devices that monitor the vital signs of the various components of the V3 solution. If a V3 ODA agent identifies a problem, it migrates affected components and virtual desktops to unaffected hardware resources.
V3 ODA can be configured in either a 1:1 or an n+1 configuration. In a 1:1 configuration, a second appliance is paired with each original appliance in case the original fails. In an n + 1 configuration, all active appliances have a reserve capacity so that in the event an appliance goes down, all profiles are reallocated to the reserve capacity of the remaining appliances.
V3 ODA provides users the flexibility to have computing wherever, whenever, and however. It offers them the comfort and confidence that their desktops will always be available. This failover technology keeps users up and running and businesses productive and profitable. Watch ODA Video
http://v3sys.com/availability/
Reducing Administrative Downtime
Traditional networked computers demand frequent downtime for administrative operations and upgrades. These decentralized activities often force the IT department to visit each individual machine for updates, stopping the user’s work.
Virtual desktops eliminate these requirements with easy centralized management. One master image resides on the V3 appliance, and is cloned to each individual virtual desktop. Updates are made to the master image and then pushed out to the virtual desktops.
Another enormous disruption to productivity occurs when local desktops and laptops are refreshed after becoming obsolete due to diminished performance. Days at a time can be spent transferring files, applications, and desktop settings, hobbling or halting work entirely.
Virtual desktops eliminate this disruption. All user data, applications, and settings reside on the centralized appliance, accessible to any endpoint device with client software installed. Upgrading to a new machine is as easy as logging in.
“What used to take two weeks to complete, now I can do in 15 minutes with the V3 appliance.”

Utilization
Utilization refers to the ability of a solution to maintain maximum performance under conditions of increasing workload. Like availability, high utilization is of critical importance to maintain operational integrity within an enterprise. Low utilization solutions impede user productivity, waste time, and ultimately cost money.
Watch Utilization Video
http://v3sys.com/utilization/
V3 server appliances are guaranteed to maintain high performance even at full capacity with heavy workload users. Depending on user requirements, a V3 server appliance can host between 50 – 400 virtual desktops. The lighter the load per desktop, the more density the appliance delivers; the heavier the load, the less density is delivered. Before implementing a new solution, administrators should establish a clear understanding of the current user environment and application usage to ensure appropriate provisioning of desktop resources.
Scaling to accommodate business growth is especially easy with V3 server appliances. Adding virtual desktops for new users is as simple as dropping in another 1U appliance to the existing server rack. Because essential computing resources are built into the V3 appliance directly, system performance never suffers when new users are added.
V3 Professional Services
Calculating and provisioning appropriate resources for users can sometimes be complicated, but it is imperative to ensure a high-utilization solution. V3’s Professional Services Team helps every customer configure a Virtual Desktop solution that specifically meets the demands of that enterprise. V3 knows that every customer’s desktop cloud needs are different. Each V3 customer receives support from V3’s Professional Services Team in order to guarantee a successful deployment.
Unique Architecture
V3 architecture uniquely combines the operating system and applications of each virtual desktop directly on local V3-certified solid-state storage. A separate SAN or NAS device hosts persistent user data. This architecture supports great flexibility. Customers can virtualize desktops to meet the unique needs of their enterprise: persistent or non-persistent, heavy or light, with user persistent data stored at any of several locations. V3 ensures each customer achieves maximum utilization for their specific use case.
Benefits for Business
V3 customers enjoy a simple snap-in solution coupled with support to maximize the performance, availability, and utilization of each appliance. Whether businesses need to deliver 50 or 10,000 virtual desktops, V3 Virtual Desktop Solutions can make it happen.
Performance
V3 Systems delivers the fastest desktop cloud infrastructure in the industry for any desktop type, large image or small, persistent or non-persistent. V3 guarantees every desktop hosted on a V3 appliance will outperform any other virtual desktop or any traditional local desktop or laptop device by 200% to 800%. V3 customers enjoy a virtual desktop as their primary desktop because the performance is so high. V3 hosted virtual desktops can run any application, large or small, and give end users the freedom to have their very own custom virtual desktop. The V3 line of cloud computing products enable user applications to run at unprecedented speeds, resulting in simplified IT management and greatly increased end-user productivity and satisfaction. Better Architecture means Better Performance
Enough talk. How does V3 achieve up to 800% improved performance over local desktops?
V3 Systems completely redesigned the architecture of the Virtual Desktop appliance where all of the computing power of the solution resides. Every bottleneck that slowed performance was eliminated. For example, the V3 appliance combines CPU, memory, and OS drive space directly on the appliance. The operating system and applications remain instantly available to the CPU using industry standard solid state (flash) memory, preventing delays associated with spinning disk drives, decreasing context switching latency, and increasing access speed for working data. By optimizing the use of local storage, and leveraging shared storage (SANs and NAS) only for persistent user data, access latency is decreased by an order of magnitude.
Solid State Technology
The V3 appliance is a Server-based Hosted Virtual Desktop system that uses solid-state technology as V3-certified storage to provide maximum processing and storage performance. One server appliance can host up to 400 virtual desktops. The solid-state nature of the V3 appliance architecture drastically decreases power and cooling demands and eliminates latency, all resulting in unparalleled virtual desktop performance.
V3’s performance makes it possible for companies to fully unlock the power of cloud computing on an end user level. Users can operate desktop applications on any compatible device or machine at speeds much higher than even traditional local desktops. As a result, employees are free to compute wherever, whenever, and however best suits their needs without having to sacrifice performance.

JB,
Thank You very much for explaining the differences. Been following since October, from Vans news letter. This is a very exciting investment for me. The advantages are so many here like: cross platform, speed with which the applications are delivered, improved productivity, resource efficiency, and Extra security, low float etc, etc...
The management seems to be very capable and highly motivated. The partnerships with Corel and Overland are great. I am hoping to see some revenues shortly.
The potential here is mind boggling. This is a Google in the making to say the least.
From the avilable news so far:
Consider partnership with Corel, assuming they get a paltry 5% of the 100 million customers: 5 million x $ 24 =120 million revenue.
Given the share structure of say 30 mil shares and your P/E of 47 based on the companies you surveyed, results in a PPS of about 180. This is just from one application with ONE partner.
Now add the Overland partnership with their 16000 channels.
Now if they SELL, SELL, SELL as they envisioned at the conference, sky is the limit for this stock.
Really exciting to be here.
Hope to get more details from Vans interview this Weekend with the CEO.

"Great article Steven, thank-you! Completely agree with your thoughts on the challenge of disruptive technology displacing the incumbent. What I find very interesting and exciting is the transformation the entire industry is experience with the shift to the cloud. Many "on premise" incumbents are taking thier offering and remarketing it as cloud simply by hosting it in a data center and offering "usage pricing" rather than "license pricing". True SaaS organizations "born in the cloud" are offering disruptive alternatives that were purpose built for cloud rather than "repackaged" from on premise license offerings. Putting this in context to your well articulated thoughts on "disrupting in the enterprise", almost all incumbent are getting challenged on multiple fronts which is compounding their defensive strategy and subsequently allowing the new disruptive offering to gain traction more quickly."

They're working to iron out a few kinks in the upload software, and it's likely that organizations they spoke to want to do some extensive testing with it before any contracts are signed.
The kinks are a little disappointing but not entirely unexpected. It's nothing like the intro of a major healthcare overhaul recently in a large advanced economy

Disruptive Indeed
In response to some reasonable questions from the research process with Destiny Media, I've produced some comparisons worth looking at for consumers looking to shop this company versus a leading transcoder. The information from this research displays a significant up front savings for any consumer looking to save, as well as reach as wide a consumer base as possible.
For example, if a user is loading a video to a transcoding company (Zencoder in this case) and plans on having a 30 minute video for his recipients seen over the course of a month, and that video is viewed 5 times, the total cost would be 7.50 USD. Yes, you read that right. It would cost you $7.50 to have a 30 minute video seen 5 times with current transcoding price structure. That's how expensive transcoding is. The flat starter rate they charge is $ .05 USD per minute, for each video viewed. This of course is only a transcoding cost, and does not identify how large a video file might be, and where it would be stored.. Hosting fees are considerable..
Compare that to Destiny Media's Clipstream Product that would allow you to have the same video seen by a recipient 20 times for the same price. This pricing structure implies the usage of Destiny's smallest available package, priced at 4.99 USD per month. Overages are included in this package, as well as competing transcoders. With Destiny's product: In the event of an overage of the purchased 600 minutes in transfer, each additional view would cost $3.30 based on the entry level package. This pricing incentivizes consumers to purchase appropriately higher plans of coverage to avoid the increased pricing induced by overages. Keep in mind that this calculation is done at the lowest pricing package available from Destiny. (Whereas the pricing from the transcoding competitor is a flat rate, but still more expensive.)
The larger packages (as is the case in all industries) cut into the margin in order to secure a bigger purchase. The comparison cost for transfer at the lowest margin threshold is less than $.01 for Destiny Media, ($.0086 to be exact) and $.0125 for leading comparables. That is compelling value. But the real kicker here is that these calculations are done prior to inclusion of hosting costs.
Hosting is dominated by two super majors, Google and Amazon. Amazons S3 Hosting platforms rate their pricing based on how many times you post a video, as well as how many times a video is viewed from inside its content network. The cost savings here is difficult to quantify because some regional benefits apply. Suffice it to say, every cost in this category is a gain when compared to destiny media because it removes the need for hosting at all. If you are an advertiser or business looking to share media en masse, these costs can be very much substantial. The publicly posted Amazon price range states:
Data Transfer OUT From Amazon S3 To Internet
First 1 GB / month
$0.000 / GB
Up to 10 TB / month
$0.120 / GB
Next 40 TB / month
$0.090 / GB
Next 100 TB / month
$0.070 / GB
How many GB a video contains depends upon its content and compression. An odd surprise in the pricing considerations here are that Zencoder (my example for encoding) asks for double pricing when encoding an HD video, as opposed to a Standard Definition video. I wish I had the time or patience to run a view specific examples in order to create additional scenarios for investors to view, but this is a pretty compelling product, and certainly deserves the title 'Disruptive'. As media files become more dense, the storage space required for hosting those files also increases. If you have a massive audience base, then the need for larger storage is also clearly evident. In all, Destiny's invention clearly has an opportunity to impact the market. It is up to them to make sure that the end product from uploading to viewing is as competitive as their pricing.

RE: Disruptive Indeed
Thanks, interesting. While I haven't reproduced these calculations, I believe there are additional advantages for Clipstream (although not for the customer). Unlike other video formats, Clipstream is treated as normal web content, that is, it doesn't need streaming servers but uses normal web servers. The streaming content is saved by local ISP's as normal web content, where locals who want to view it, view it from the local ISP, not from Amazon, saving Destiny billing cost from Amazon.
But you're right in looking at this from the point of the user, although the local caching advantage is one reason that would enable Destiny to be cheaper than other streaming services.

RE: Disruptive Indeed
Listening to this guy talk about the challenges within transcoding makes me feel good about Destiny's product. It just doesn't have to be this complicated.

My gut feeling is that BD is dodging the release of results to see if Gerald will cow in for a lower payment. Gerald responded by raising funds, in essence telling them "thanks, but no thanks for a lower payment'. Its a tug of war, Gerald will come out fine, If not BD, some one will pay us the fair price for the Lympro-industry standard. Now release the validation results, please.
Keep up the good job Gerald. Frustrating in the short term, but we'll be good long term.

Abstract
Astrocytes assume multiple roles in maintaining an optimally suited milieu for neuronal function. Select astrocytic functions include the maintenance of redox potential, the production of trophic factors, the regulation of neurotransmitter and ion concentrations, and the removal of toxins and debris from the cerebrospinal fluid (CSF). Impairments in these and other functions, as well as physiological reactions of astrocytes to injury, can trigger or exacerbate neuronal dysfunction. This review addresses select metabolic interactions between neurons and astrocytes and emphasizes the role of astrocytes in mediating and amplifying the progression of several neurodegenerative disorders, such as Parkinson’s disease (PD), hepatic encephalopathy (HE), hyperammonemia (HA), Alzheimer’s disease (AD), and ischemia.
Epilepsy, a neurological condition is an indication for MANF. Do not know if qualified for Orphan status.

Parkinson's disease (PD) is a common neurodegenerative disorder caused by the progressive degeneration of the nigrostriatal dopaminergic pathway. The resulting loss of dopamine neurotransmission is responsible for the symptoms of the disease. Available treatments are initially successful in treating PD symptoms; however, their long-term use is associated with complications and they cannot stop the neurodegeneration. Current research aims at developing new therapies to halt/reverse the neurodegenerative process, rather than treating symptoms. Neurotrophic factors are proteins critical for maintenance and protection of neurones in the developing and adult brain. Several neurotrophic factors have been investigated for their protective effects on dopaminergic neurones. Here we review some of the most promising factors and provide an update on their status in clinical trials.

Abstract
Background:
Mesencephalic astrocyte-derived neurotrophic factor (MANF), a 20 kDa secreted protein, was
originally derived from a rat mesencephalic type-1 astrocyte cell line. MANF belongs to a novel evolutionally
conserved family of neurotrophic factors along with conserved dopamine neurotrophic factor. In recent years,
ever-increasing evidence has shown that both of them play a remarkable protective role against various injuries to
neurons in vivo orin vitro. However, the characteristics of MANF expression in the different types of glial cells, especially in astrocytes, remain unclear.
Methods:
The model of focal cerebral ischemia was induced by rat middle cerebral artery occlusion. Double-labeled immunofluorescent staining was used to identify the types of neural cells expressing MANF. Primarily cultured glial cells were used to detect the response of glial cells to endoplasmic reticulum stress
stimulation. Propidium iodide staining was used to determine dead cells. Reverse transcription PCR and western
blotting were used to detect the levels of mRNA and proteins.
Results:
We found that MANF was predominantly expressed in neurons in both normal and ischemic cortex.
Despite its name, MANF was poorly expressed in glial cells, including astrocytes, in normal brain tissue. However,
the expression of MANF was upregulated in the glial cells under focal cerebral ischemia, including the astrocytes.
This expression was also induced by several endoplasmic reticulum stress inducers and nutrient deprivation in
cultured primary glial cells. The most interesting phenomenon observed in this study was the pattern of MANF
expression in the microglia. The expression of MANF was closely associated with the morphology and state of
microglia, accompanied by the upregulation of BIP/Grp78.
Conclusions:
These results indicate that MANF expression was upregulated in the activated glial cells, which may
contribute to the mechanism of ischemia-induced neural injury.
