I have been researching the filings by URRE and there looks like there may be a correlation between the recent acquisitions of lithium mining properties and a deal with ALB. It would make sense given the proximity to the Silver Peak processing facility.
Anyone hear anything about a deal between ALB and URRE? I have heard rumblings about a deal concerning the recent land acquisitions in Utah and Nevada are tied into a deal to supply raw lithium to ALB's Silver Peak plant. They are scaling up to supply the Tesla plant ...so it does make some sense.
Some people seem to think the election results on November 8th shouldn't be considered the telling point for this company....I think you are right to a point as there are a lot more positives than just the election...but I believe the consensus is the passage of prop 64 in California will have a monumental effect worldwide for a few reasons. 1) LA is the second largest media market next to NYC 2) California is one of the top 10 economies in the world 3) Legalization may not mean that much in terms of using the MYDX device....but it means a hell of a lot in terms of media exposure for MYDX in the ensuing days after passage with the worldwide coverage and media discussions on every television network and publication in the world. So when you say the passage of Prop. 64 isn't that big a deal for MYDX....you are living in a bubble of disbelief that defies reality. In this case....the Passage of Prop. 64 will get MYDX more unpaid publicity and press coverage than they could have ever hoped for ! If you don't understand the significance of the press coverage that will come with the vote...than you are living on another planet. If I was you...I would just buy the stock and hold on for .50 shortly following the vote.
nvidia here is the link to that artcle. It is actually from an 'Indian' publication and i picked up the article through the Australian markets.
http://www.econotimes.com/MyDx-CEO-Sees-Emerging-Cannabis-Industry-Attracting-Top-Tech-Talent-and-Innovation-to-Sustain-Rapid-Growth-351522
This was part of a news release in Australia a few hour ago.....I think word is getting around...the globe
Daniel Yazbeck is a leading science, business and technology executive with over 15 years of experience with Fortune 500 companies, including Pfizer and Panasonic. Mr. Yazbeck holds a Master’s Degree in Medicinal Chemistry with a minor in Marketing, and is an inventor and author of several world patents and research publications. Mr. Yazbeck has been a featured speaker and panelist at cannabis investor, technology and healthcare events over the last three years, and was invited to share the stage with some of the key pioneers and founders of the medical cannabis industry, including Professor Raphael Mechoulam at Cannatech in Israel, who discovered the chemical structures of THC 52 years ago.
“We have already seen great interest for our second proprietary chemical sensor, AquaDxTM, which allows consumers to test the safety of their drinking water. And now we are preparing to launch our third and fourth sensors, OrganaDxTM and AeroDxTM, which test for pesticides in the food we eat and the pollutants in the air we breathe, respectively. Based on this timeline, it is fairly clear how the growth of the cannabis industry has caused new innovations in technology that have benefited both the cannabis industry as well as other key markets,” concluded Mr. Yazbeck.
yes Darth...they are trying to compete with Gavita which is a tall order but they have the money and expertise....and it would appear they are busy setting up the distributions network worldwide that MYDX will enjoy as well.
dando...you are the type of poster who has an identity that was contrived two days ago that offers nothing to the conversation, and yet pops into just let us all know that "the stock will not move up until there is more press". Let me explain something to you and all the other unsolicited advice givers. I think if you had something substantive to say about the company one way or another you might get some credibility....but your asinine comments do nothing to inform or help anyone here.
And for those that think they will just set up a lab in the garage.
Some of the incidental costs:
Analysis by a $35,000-to-$45,000 (used) gas chromatograph with a flame ionization detector can detect the quantity of aromatic terpenes, which give cannabis its taste and smell. It can also identify unsafe solvents such as butane in hash oils and other extracts.
Analysis by a $65,000 (used) liquid chromatograph to assess an assortment of cannabinoids by molecular weight.
Analysis by a $200,000 (used) mass spectrometer for pesticides.
Sample cultured in petri dishes to see if it contains yeast, mold, fungus or bacteria such as E. coli.
Sample tested to identify its genetic strain using polymerase chain-reaction to amplify its DNA.
Invited to stop by the Cannabis/Tech conference Saturday in San Francisco. Only 10 minutes from my house...how could I refuse :)
I didn't catch Daniel's speech (talk)...but from what I gathered it was a very upbeat and positive outlook on both the industry and MYDX. It seems one of the most important topics that continues to present itself with the move towards legalization is how will the public health and safety will be protected from toxins and other elements that may find their way into the growing chain from seedlings to buds. The overwhelming consensus is that some form of testing will be mandated before cannabis is sold to the public. Most of the scientific 'laboratory' testing available is still between $500-$1000. The cheaper methods such as dip sticks, blot tests, chemical, etc. are not getting much traction with local governments because of inaccuracies and testing limitations. This leaves MYDX cannabis testing as about the only alternative for accurate and affordable testing. Every dispensary employee and owner that I have talked to has bought one of the MYDX kits, or is planning to buy one. And increasingly growers are also buying in. The laboratory options in the bay area is Steep Hill Labs which charges about $100-$250 for a single test...and the costs can go up from there depending on what exact testing is being done.
Because this was a cannabis directed conference there wasn't a lot of attention given to the 'water test kit' that MYDX has produced...but that will undoubtedly play heavily into the companies upcoming sales numbers considering all the flooding caused by hurricane Matthew on the east coast.
nice pennant formed on the 15 min.
had premonition of .0444 close
the interesting part is that people know that legalization is coming, but the majority will wait until it hits them in the face, i.e. poll results on ABC and CBS...newspaper articles about the new legalization and how it will change everything....until they start buying marijuana stocks. I would say you probably have about 10-20% of the public invested in anything related to marijuana right now. The day after the California election there will only be 3 things the newscasters are talking about; how Trump was caught banging his campaign manager on the airplane....how Clinton barely squeezed by in spite of the 8 million emails....and the legalization of weed in CALIFORNIA. Biggest market in the country...and 6th largest economy in the world (took that distinction away from the French ;)
I'll say one thing....this board may get the cheerleading trophy this year. lmao
What you are looking at with this L2 trading is typical of a few mm's who have been instructed to keep the bid/ask in check. The large buyers are the same people who dumped their conversion shares last month from around .18 down to a penny. Now they are trying to repurchase them at a discount to what they sold them for. That's their margin of profit. They had no intention of bailing out of the company...just picking up some fast money. I doubt they will let this get over .05 in the next few days....or at least until they have gotten their fill. I look at it this way 'a penny a day keeps shorty away'. As soon as this starts to look overbought they will move to stop it...so slow is better. When we start to reach the .16-.18 level will be where the blow off action begins....and if I'm not mistaken that will be November 9th.
Anybody here remember that pos stock PHOT ? They were supposed to be a distributor for grow lights, and other equipment a few years ago. The accumulation started in the .02-.03 range and eventually ran to close to .80 if I recall. Now that was an out and out scam. Imagine what will happen here with a real product, with patents, and a solid manufacturing and distribution channel established ....with the legalization of Californica :)
metzic....a lot of people only look at the 'authorized shares' and think it is a grand scheme for dilution. If they looked at what the company has done since they went public they would have a better grasp. They could have 1 billion authorized and you would get the same feedback from people that don't get it. I learned a long time ago that one of the first things people look at is the shares outstanding and most don't comprehend the difference in 'authorized' and 'issued'. There is no reason that a company that has gone from an opening point of $1.10 per share would issue anymore shares. The only reason that there are close to 70 mil. out there from 25 mil. in the opening issue, is because they borrowed money to expand with conversion clauses. The people that loaned them the money are not waiting for anything. They are going to get the conversions and sell them to get their cash back. That is what has been happening for the past few months....that's finished now. So the only issue I would be looking at if I owned shares is whether or not they are going to borrow any more money tied to convertible shares. So far they haven't...so that's a good sign.
that's a good question. The guys that helped bring them public, and the interim financiers took their pound of flesh...so this is the first breath of air since conversions. I was waiting and watching volume to consume all of the converted shares before I bought in. In terms of valuation....that is a little difficult to assess without the total debt numbers...which now lie in part with Arrow and Nanolux. On projected numbers from the 'after vote' roll out being somewhere in the range of 2000 units per month, progressing exponentially over the next couple of years (at maybe $300 a unit wholesale)is in the neighborhood I would think. Still doing the math
Gavin owned part of the Balboa...a bar a few blocks down the street. He used to be there all the time....then he became a politician and had to divest everything...including his first wife :)
Well....looks like buying those million shares yesterday at .028 was a good move after all. Not to worried about the 10 billion authorized as some here are. There are reasons for the shares being authorized and it has 'nothing' to do with dilution gonzilee boy.
Being a hybrid fundamentalist/chartist I see both elements coming together here. The positive technicals have been pointed out in several posts....but I believe the technicals are being driven by the fundamental knowledge of 'legalization' in California in a few weeks and people are getting positioned. EVEN the guys that just sold their conversions shares down from .20 are buying back in now. Why not...they have gotten their money back plus some and are now getting back in at a big discount. So until we hit .20 they have NO reason to stop buying. So don't let them beat you to the punch :)
Big meeting in San Diego priming for legalization....could be some new and bigger plans are in the offing concurrent with legalization. Gavin Newsom has been a homeboy here for 25 years and tells me he has seen the MYDX device and thinks it's a great idea !
(you know Gavin...the one who put the initiative on the ballot)
Jason doesn't know the difference between authorized shares and issued shares...he's an ego maniac that thinks he knows it all...just ask him when you see him at the next marijuana conference as he tries to get you to buy him a drink at the hotel bar.
When this tester first came out I told Daniel is was overpriced and it couldn't test enough different things. It couldn't test hash for example, or edibles. He didn't seem to think that was important enough to stop the initial release. Well...I didn't invest the $1.10 a share for the IPO and he had to go looking for more money to stay afloat. Now he has reined it in and realizes that the analyzer has to do more than just test your smokable weed. He borrowed from money changers and they converted into toxic liquidation. Well, they are out now...and we are about 2-3 weeks away from the election and the 'legalization' in California. Nanolux has helped put this deal together with Arrow to manufacturer these devices.
To whoever mentioned the misfires and inadequete technology in the device you were right...but they have rewritten part of the software and the strategy is not to sell the cannabis testing to the public...but market it to dispensaries and retailers when legalization begins. So the individual buyer is not going to determine the outcome...it will be Nanolux and other players in the industry like Weedmaps who own part of the company now.
See you guys later and hopefully we can learn from each other while this tracks towards .05
no ...I think it was released by Nanolux yesterday...it wasn't a refresher. What you read in April was the context of the deal ....and yesterday Nanolux was releasing it.
http://enews.maximumyield.com/mydx-signs-4-million-distribution-deal/
then why are you jumping down my throat calling me a scumbag when I post something that was printed yesterday? Did you bother to look ...before you pounced mr. wonderful?
darth...I will have to check with adonis before I post in the future....
whatever you say adonai you're the keeper of the truth..I just saw this article and thought I would share it. Pretty sure the date is the 11th ??
I probably should have checked with you before I posted anything...sorry
http://enews.maximumyield.com/mydx-signs-4-million-distribution-deal/
hello whale man..how's the plankton treating you?
I think Nanolux is competing for Gavita's light business. Their equipment is comparable...but a few hundred cheaper. With all the stores they are located in, the distribution network will be pretty complete once the vote passes in a few weeks. The manufacturing deal MYDX has with Arrow will get a lot of units preproduced for distribution early November. Of course you guys already knew all this...right?
you know....from the hearing place :)
October 11, 2016
MyDx Signs $4 Million Distribution Deal
MyDx, Inc., producer of its patented MyDx (My Diagnostic) product line, the first battery operated, hand-held, chemical analyzer for consumers, recently announced it has signed a major distribution deal with Nanolux Technology, Inc. valued at over $4 million. California-based Nanolux produces one of the world’s leading brands of horticultural lighting ballasts. With more than 1,000 retail shops in its distribution network, it has an extensive footprint throughout the US indoor agriculture and hydroponic marketplace. Nanolux has already placed an initial purchase order for the first 100 units being used for training and demonstration purposes. San Diego-based MyDx will provide comprehensive marketing support, collateral materials, training, customer and warranty service. The agreement is for one year, with automatic renewals subject to mutually satisfactory sales and service performance.
Well boys...see you around. I have liquidated my Orocobre for now (other than my retirement account). Moving on to other investments. It was good to me...but I see to many juniors coming in to muddy the waters and the ASX is a little to hinky for me. I am sure you'll all get along just fine...even though you will miss my acerbic wit. Adios
Time to start digging in here. The convertibles are cleared and it's time for some action. Nanolux has a marketing plan mapped out from what I am hearing, and it's set to start up right after the November vote. The distribution deal between MYDX and Nanolux serves both companies very well.
I have been tracking this one since the public offering and decided to wait. Well...started unwaiting today with a purchase of a million shares. Hope my average right below .03 will not bite me in the ass. Even though the market was sick today I expected this one to hold. Looks like some scaredy cats sold today.
Trying to determine how many shares are in the market right now. I am thinking somewhere around 50 million ? Haven't had an opportunity to read 'everything'....but as I remember there were about 25 million out there before the convertibles...then after conversion close to 50 mil.? I would appreciate a confirmation on that. tia
jesus...I have created this Frankenstein monster here. All you guys with zero posts on your record. Why are you all coming over here? I am out of this man. Whenever I see the pump squad come in I know it's time to go. Geez...how can a guy invest anymore?
123tom...this has been a tough one to trade...that's why I don't trade. You are right about the resistance, but there are 'fundamental' reasons...not technical ones. You have this one track mind about technicals at times that discounts fundamentals. Learn to do both...and you'll be good at this :) After 50 some odd years of doing technical and fundamental research, I have found that you can't have one without the other. The technicals can belie the fundamentals at times and vice versa. They both have to line up. In this case the fundamentals are lacking...there has been a postponement of the plant opening....which cases a delay in shipments to Mitsubishi....which causes a loss of faith in the companies management. They are losing my faith quickly because of this latest delay. I am not going to sugarcoat it...but the technicals didn't lead me to that conclusion...it was the fundamentals. You need to get away from that 'gold and silver' board over there with the little hitler running things...he has started to affect your charting skills ... :)
They just continue to ship lithium.....

Just had MASSIVE turn around yesterday almost 50,000,000 shares traded closing over .40 AUS = .31 US
Just hang in there...these are trading aberrations and growing pains in the lithium sector. Companies are being shorted and negatively reported on trying to get shareholders to bail. They took it down to .32 AUS yesterday and then it rebounded like a rocket propelled boomerang. Just hold your shares or buy now under .50 and hold them until this badboy hits $1 later this year or beginning of next year. This is now the 2nd or 3rd largest 'pure lithium' play in the world now that they have absorbed GMM.

Merger completion with GMM should be announced this week. Another run to start. Galaxy becomes the 2nd largest hard rock lithium miner in the world.
I am now getting daily reports from the Argentina customs website that shows 'actual' shipments being made from Orocobre's plant through the Jujuy sales combine. I will try to keep you updated when possible.
The BOLD figures are the price per ton and the RED figures are the tons in that particular shipment. It's a little difficult to translate the entire customs document but I think you get the idea.
So rounding off the decimals, the tonnage shipped so far the FIRST WEEK of August is 1190 TONS. Most of the shipments are over $7000 per ton to over $10,000 per ton (not bad) :)
