Invited to stop by the Cannabis/Tech conference Saturday in San Francisco. Only 10 minutes from my house...how could I refuse :)
I didn't catch Daniel's speech (talk)...but from what I gathered it was a very upbeat and positive outlook on both the industry and MYDX. It seems one of the most important topics that continues to present itself with the move towards legalization is how will the public health and safety will be protected from toxins and other elements that may find their way into the growing chain from seedlings to buds. The overwhelming consensus is that some form of testing will be mandated before cannabis is sold to the public. Most of the scientific 'laboratory' testing available is still between $500-$1000. The cheaper methods such as dip sticks, blot tests, chemical, etc. are not getting much traction with local governments because of inaccuracies and testing limitations. This leaves MYDX cannabis testing as about the only alternative for accurate and affordable testing. Every dispensary employee and owner that I have talked to has bought one of the MYDX kits, or is planning to buy one. And increasingly growers are also buying in. The laboratory options in the bay area is Steep Hill Labs which charges about $100-$250 for a single test...and the costs can go up from there depending on what exact testing is being done.

Because this was a cannabis directed conference there wasn't a lot of attention given to the 'water test kit' that MYDX has produced...but that will undoubtedly play heavily into the companies upcoming sales numbers considering all the flooding caused by hurricane Matthew on the east coast.
