Agreement on your experience with Sharebuilder
I too have become annoyed with the lack of competency at ING Direct/Sharebuilder in how they handled the vote. I talked to multiple people and only one or two seemed to be up to speed on what was going on. It was really annoying that you couldn't speak with Corporate Actions but talk to some tech rep that didn't know very much. In the next 30 days, I'm probably going to start moving accounts to E-Trade since they seem to be the better deal and from what I read, they seemed more competent as well.
They just emailed me a ballot for Commons too. :)
I sure can. I'm growing impatient though. :)
Really dissappointed in ING Direct/Sharebuilder
Hi Jacked. I have to admit, I am really frustrated and annoyed with the way Sharebuilder has handled it. They keep sending emails once in blue moon just saying to be patient, but they really have been bad about keeping me updated and I'm sure other customers feel the same way. I have called a few times but don't find the reps very confident and it's annoying that they won't let you speak directly with the Coporate Actions Department.
Hi there. I think Sharebuilder is going to do there voting online. I think some people have already voted, but I'm still waiting for the control # and web URL so that I can vote. I think the delay with them is that they use an external vendor.
I think Sharebuilder(ING Direct) is getting close.
They sent me the following message earlier but they never sent me anything though. I called and spoke to a guy named Kevin that told me that perhaps they send emails in batches and I could be getting it soon. If I don't get something soon, I'm going to follow up with them. Email received was:
I'm just sending this information to follow up on the conversation we had yesterday about the WAMU bankruptcy proceedings and how you'd be able to submit your vote. It looks like we actually sent you the information you would need to submit your ballot yesterday, January 23rd. Hopefully you found this information, if you did not receive this information and your control number (this is what would allow you to cast your vote) just reply to this email and we'll find a way to get that information to you.
I had started emailing my broker(ING Direct/Sharebuilder) last Tuesday on the 17th, but never heard back so I gave them a call on Friday. I just explained that the 7th amended plan was up for a vote and had to be in by February 9th. The guy I spoke with transferred me to another person and they didn't seem to be familiar at all. I'm suppossed to be hearing back by this afternoon but I'm probably going to follow up by 1pm if I don't hear anything by then. (This is short version of phone call). I think I spoke with them for more than 15 minutes on Friday explaining the urguency.
Hi there. I called ING Direct/Sharebuilder on Friday and spoke to a guy named John. If you want my case # let me know. He told me that they should have some information for me on Monday afternoon. I'm definitely going to call them if I don't hear anything by 1pm.
I did my share. :) I bought 100k. HeHeHe.
Any updates from ING Direct/Sharebuilder?
I saw that people were hearing from Scottrade, Etrade and Fidelity. I was wondering if anyone had any updates from ING Direct? I've been contacting them but no response yet and wanted to see if anyone from the board had heard anything.
In the US(TN). I'm new to Ihub. :) I do have some SPQS shares. I have about 1500k so far.
Thanks so much for all of your help. I'm going to upgrade my account. My account with ING Direct doesn't produce any reports like that. :)
Is there an easy way to see how many asks/bids there are? I just thought you could only see all those that sold for the day. :)
We wish. :) Otherwise this stock would be worth a fortune.
I'm thinking someone probably did it by accident. Probably meant to purchase another stock and chose the wrong stock ticker.
7th Amended Plan & Wamu shares/JPM
I was wondering. In the 7th amended plan, there is a section referring to JP Morgan giving shares valued at 4 billion. Is this to make up for the 4 billion deposit? Additionally, does anyone know how the restructured stock will incorporate the common shares from wamuq? I was thinking that it would be 1/3 of the reorganized stock but wasn't sure if I were reading it correctly.
Youtube video news story on the 15th:
Does anyone know when the Reverse Split will go into effect?
I think the problem is everyone is just growing so tired of the delays and want this whole ordeal over with. I know I am. :) Personally, I really don't see it ending until early 2012 but again it could drag out longer. Come late January, I might start feeling edgy if we're still in court with no settlement.
Thanks everyone for the great feedback. I'm thinking about buying more shares and was wondering how low people will think it will go before it bottoms out again. I didn't think it would go below 14 and obviously I was wrong on that. :) Now it looks like 4 cents is out of the question. Does anyone think it will head down to 8 to bottom out?
Has WAMU's rise run out of steam? I was reviewing the past couple of weeks and was wondering what people thought about the next few weeks. Within the past couple of weeks, it reached a high of 23.5 cents but looks to be around 11.5-12 at the moment. Do you think in the next few weeks that it will continue to decline further? I was thinking that it looks like it might return to it's previous 4 cents. It's already down close to 50% of it's hight and I thought the downward spiral might continue until it reached 80 or so percent to bottom out.
That makes sense. :) I guess those people that bought it over 20 cents for example are probably getting nervous that it's below 15. If I hadn't been in this since 2008, I would probably have been nervous too to drop shares.
Does anyone know why it's lost more than 35% from it's high yesterday of .235? I'm wondering if the stock needs to be dumped and picked up again when it reaches under 8 cents.
I'm glad it didn't follow the DOW today. I can't believe the DOW lost over 200 points today.
Hmm, I wonder if people are dumping the stock now that it fell down to 16. Does anyone else think the stock is obviously being manipulated today?
That's true. It's only going to continue going up for the short term. Although all that could change once announcements are made. Hopefully there is more time to accumulate shares!!!!
I agree with you that it's going to be over $1. I think in the end, it will come out around $7, but only after the herd gets wind of it driving it past $10 before bottoming out to $7. If it reaches over $1 in the next week or two, I might sell for it on a temporary basis to pick up shares once it bottomed out again before the bankruptcy comes to a final close.
Anyone know what's causing the sell off today? I was wondering what was causing the big sell off today.
Quick Question: 32 billion to less than 9. I had a question for everyone. When WAMU was first robbed by FDIC/JP Morgan Chase, they estimated their assets at 32 billion. Does anyone know how that figure went from 32 down to less than 9? I've always wondered but couldn't figure out why the asset had been decreased by so much.
