investorman...I know, I live near Thunderbird and Tatum and can see the mountains. Actually, that's the most snow I've seen on the mountains since I've been here.
Well, Phoenix has mountains right in the city. You could come down just to plant them then retreat back up the hill.
Oh, you're like my mother. She likes Fall the best.
Well, my grandfather always said where he came from was hot and the soil was rocky. And, I'm sure he didn't have a refrigerator. LOL
Janice...you ought to move to the southwest. You could grow things here year round.
Ah, my family consisted of Italians from southern Italy, the poor part. Maybe lardo was too expensive. LOL
Heck, if I get anywhere near a habanero I start to sweat.
I've never eaten "lardo" in my life and I don't recall my grandparents munching on it either. And, they were right off the boat. I did, however, watch my grandfather eat an entire raw onion on more than one occasion. LOL
Janice...because I want to enjoy the yard, not cry the whole time I'm out there. LOL
Investorman and Buck...thanks for the information.
The Three Burials of Melquiades Estrada was a great movie. Saw it a couple of weeks ago. Very worthwhile film.
I'm looking for a shrub/tree that can be used as a screen here in the southwest. I'm thinking of using oleander because I know it can be planted as a tree or shrub. Also, I know it's poisonous but I don't care. My friends have it and it surely does block out any view into their property. I need something that grows to about 10-12 ft. to ensure total blockage. Any ideas?
Barneey...do you know how old CB is? I'm wondering if this is his last hurrah and he intends to make the best of it, if you know what I mean.
How long can Chuck go without reporting on the #1 well?? It has to have reached maximum depth by this time. Either they hit something or they didn't.
Looks like $8.00 soon. Moving nicely as of late.
Get real, contractor...that's about stock manipulation. Do you seriously think those of us here are trying to manipulate this crappy stock for our benefit? LOL Why don't you call the SEC and make your case. LOL
Well, just change your name. You've done it before. wink wink
Ah, Ras...people who come in to be "baptised" are not necessarily unbelievers (atheists). They are people who have never been baptised. Not being baptised does not make one an atheist. Also, you do realize that the vast majority of scientist do NOT believe in the supernatural world or beings? A poll is taken every so often and it ALWAYS indicates MORE scientists who think gods do NOT exist.
Ras...any guess as to whether more atheists have become believers or more believers have become atheists? Personally, I do not know ANY atheists who have become believers. I do, however, know MANY believers who have crossed over to atheism. Even my parents who were staunch Catholics their entire lives no longer take religion all that seriously. For them, it's now "just in case". LOL Science has knocked too many holes in religion and they see the destructive nature of religion every day and can't believe a god would create a universe full of chaos, hatred, death and destruction. It's counter to what a god is supposed to be in their minds.
Atheism is not based upon unproved beliefs. It is based upon materialism (the natural world) and reason. Religions are based upon the supernatural and belief (faith). No sense arguing about it. I just wanted to state my position as an atheist. Have a good day.
People like to peg atheism as a religion, but it is NOT. It is a lack of beliefs. It takes beliefs to be a religion. Religions are ALL based upon unproved BELIEFS.
Atheism is NOT a religion. Atheism means LACKING a belief system relative to the supernatural. That's hardly what I would call a religion.
And, it did rain....ALL DAY LONG!!
Well, I just saw Mrs. Henderson Presents and it was a very good movie. Very worthwhile seeing.
vern...lol
What city is "around here"? Dominos?????????? Yikes. Just awful. Besides the owner of Dominos is a right wing wack job. I'd never buy a pie from one his places.
Holy smoke!!! Pardon the expression. I've never seen so many chiles in my life. Did they just make up that list. LOL
Heck...in my humble opinion, the SEC does NOT exist to protect the little guy out here. Never has, never will.
LOL...I sometimes have the same problem when lowering myself and buying frozen pizza. You have to dig and dig to find one without pepperoni.
Has anyone seen Mrs. Henderson Presents? My partner tells me I am going to see it later this afternoon whether I want to go or not. LOL I'd rather see Neil Young Heart of Gold. But, alas, I must see Mrs. Henderson Presents.
Janice...Ok, Ok, what is the definitive book on chiles? Perhaps, during the next rain day here in Phoenix I'll peruse it.
Susie...after you see Capote you will understand why he won the award. He was fabulous in the role.
Good find, pseeker...but I doubt it will turn any lights on in the heads of the true believers.
Jag...that's very true. I think even $1 would have the pumpers waving those pompoms violently.
Susie...I'll try it. Thanks
Jag...that's true. I wonder if no matter what amount of money is made if it's ALL going to be siphoned off as salary, bonuses, and expenses BEFORE it hits the books of AMEP.
I'm running on Windows XP. Lately, every time I turn on the computer it takes forever for everything to load up. I suspect too many programs are loading at start up. I know there is a way to locate this information and delete some programs from loading automatically. Can anyone tell me how? I forgot it's been so long since I did it. tia
That's true, too. But, in the end, success for shareholders completely depends upon the financial arrangements in place between AMEP and the investees, etc. None of which is public knowledge as far as I know. How much profit is siphoned off before it gets to AMEP? Is all of it taken before it gets to AMEP? Anyone know the answer? I doubt it.
Or, it could go through the bottom line and crash. Especially, if CB fails to put out a new "the paint is almost dry" or "we've drilled another 100 more feet" PR.
That's a few blocks from my home. That will probably get tried soon.
