IMO we will not see financials...
These has been promised time and time again. My money is sitting in this black hole and it is disappointing to see what was once a promising company (or at least a good song & dance), go right down the tubes. Sure this might pop up a few percent here and there but we will not see the truth of this company in the form of financials.
This is coming from a once very optomistic shareholder.
BTW where did GamblerNC go?

I'm 25 and I have money I would like to invest.
Currently, I have the following situation. I have been investing since I was about 18 and in the past 2 years, I have been playing the PennyStocks with my extra cash. This past Fall and Spring I had my hard work of researching and patience pay off heavily. I have a sizable amount of money I would like to invest in less aggressive stocks, but not so safe that it only gains .5% interest. Most of my gains are sitting in my brokerage accounts and some of it is in a low yielding Savings Account (I want my money to grow and not sit dorment).
I dollar cost average to max out my Roth IRA (Total Market Index Fund and a Value Fund) and my TSP is set to max out by the end of the year. I will be moving to Korea (Military) for the next year, so my expenses will be limited.
I have been looking at some of the Vanguard, T ROWE, and Fidelity funds. I tend to like the complete market index funds, but at the same time, I feel like that is the approach I always look at. Does anyone here have a fresh new idea for investing my money? I do not have time to manage true real estate but are REITs something I should be looking at heavier than I have in the past (I have yet to put money in any REITs).
Just looking for some guidance before I get too busy with my move to Korea.
I can't say my average is cheap, but its not too bad.
I first bought in at .0016 in the fall. We had a small pop up to the 40s and I took profits (not bad at all since I put in a nice chunk of change). I got busy with deployment and kinda lost track of the stock for a while. I missed the big peak to .015 range and ended up picking up some shares in the 70s. I'm not upset at all with my purchase, but I do try and look at the stock from both angles. Some people take it as a negative approach, but sometimes we get so carried away with the Million-dollar prize which may only be a PR away to realize some of the negatives in a company or PR-Campaign
I feel confident we will see good numbers, but not sure how soon we will really hit some of these extreme PPS people are predicting. I'd be happy hitting the .015 area again and sustaining it for a longer duration only to push further green instead of dropping low so quickly.
GLTA - I'm in this for awhile.

LOL, well, I definitely agree with you on that one
What type of numbers are expected to be seen as a positive here?
I know we are all guessing as to how many bulbs were sold, but has anyone made a stab at what may be that magic line between positive PR and a negative PR?
Just curious, I have been out of loop for a while. First bought into this stock while in Afghanistan.

Greed can get the best of us.....
we all hope to make just that much more by waiting it all out.
I hit 6 digit in gains on EXPH in Sept, but held little too long and ended up missing out on about 80% more than what I made.
Oh well, we all learn from those decisions.

I think large installations (hospitals, med centers, schools, etc) are the way to see large volumes sold at once. Retail numbers should be fine once on shelves, but real pops would come from the face-to-face interaction with district managers, boards of advisors, or people who can make such purchasing decisions.
I'm not saying anyone else has the ionizer on the bulb and I'm not here to start any kind of fight.
Look I know what the bulb does, but how to you get a young adult or anyone living on their own who lives paycheck to paycheck (I'm betting large percentage of people in the past few years) to find the Zevotek bulb as their go-to bulb when they go shopping. They will most likely pick the cheapest or cheaper option with little thought about it.
How many 20 year olds without kids, in college, or living alone are thinking the ionizer is a must have technology added to their light bulb.
I'm not dissing the product and I'm definitely excited to see the commercials and everything else going on for them. But you have to have some sense of otherside....not everyone is going to want this bulb. I surely want them to, but that is not how its going to work.

I wish I knew that answer.......package made of "Benjamins!"
hahaha
I'm all for ZVTK
just on my lunch break and surfing the net and basing some of my concerns off my roomates purchase this weekend. Ha Ha
I don't expect the bulb to be priced at $50 forever. I think hotel chains, rental facilities, and business centers need sold on purchasing large lots of our bulbs. That seems to be the best push for real money with competition so high.
Fair observation - I personally know what I need to see when I go to the store. I bring these points up because my roomate recently bought a few lightbulbs from Walmart and said he just picked up the cheapest set of CFLs he found. I know you will always have buyers like that, but something does need stand out on the shelves to get people like him to pay the extra 25 or 50 cents for the ionizer.
My points exactly. I'm hoping big, but sometimes if people set their goals too high, any PR short of spectacular could stall this stock for a quarter or more.
When do we (stock holders) expect the finance report for quarter to post?
LED Competition in the near future?
I know these bulbs costs will buy us time, but are CFLs short on life? I'm not trying to be negative here, but it does throw up a few questions.

GE is a trusted brand too.... I have seen these at Walmart in the past few weeks.

One thing I noticed when shopping....
I'm 25 years old, bought a healthy position in this company, but one thing that does kind of concern me is the saturation of bulbs. Walk into Walmart, Target, Walgreens, etc and when you go to the bulb area, there are upwards of 10 different brands who offer CFLs. While I do my best to be completely optomistic and look forward to huge numbers, its hard not to wonder if we will see less than expect numbers of sales.
I figure it this way. The young college student, young professional, or even just average person who wants a CFL will walk into a Walmart and purchase one. Once there, they are stricken with 10 different choices and to top that off, higher prices than conventional bulbs. Not to mention, ours has an additional gizmo to confuse (or hopefully intrigue) buyers.
I see a few hurdles....
1. Landing a big chain of stores Walmart, Target, HD, Lowe's etc
2. Keeping price competitive with bulbs not offering an ionizor
3. Standing out on the shelf from the other 10 competing bulbs.
Just my two cents..... I hope we can break away from the rest of the competition. It would be nice to see this company soar.

In the last year you have posted (maybe less), this is the best post I have read authored by yourself. I agree with you on many of your points.
I made a huge chunk of change on this stock in Sept. I cannot complain at all on that behalf. I bought in some more in the 50s but it was pennies (no pun intended) compared to what I made.
This stock and company have disappointed me as of lately and its sad to see a once promising company slowly but surely drifting into the dark corners of Pinkie land.

I feel your pain.... Hope you aren't stuck in the Dirty South.... Just got back 2 weeks ago from a 1 year traveling all over the South AO.....
Get to Kandahar or Leatherneck and you can watch your stocks!
yah they are what got be into this stock back in August out in october (missed the big jump) and then back in again
What can I say, Soccer is so last year.... ZVTK up up and away!
he likes to yell - he has been doing it forever...I can hear him from here
Greed - Everyone wants to make the x-hundreds of percent return and instantly become a big star. In my opinion if you (people in general) are that worried about buying in dips, you are only here to flip.
I'm still holding strong with my shares...hahah hoping for something good one of these days to ignite it again. I'm lucky my average is still very low or I wouldn't have much of my investment left.
can this be traded on scottrade or ameritrade yet? Sorry just getting back from deployment.
