I'm 25 years old, bought a healthy position in this company, but one thing that does kind of concern me is the saturation of bulbs. Walk into Walmart, Target, Walgreens, etc and when you go to the bulb area, there are upwards of 10 different brands who offer CFLs. While I do my best to be completely optomistic and look forward to huge numbers, its hard not to wonder if we will see less than expect numbers of sales.
I figure it this way. The young college student, young professional, or even just average person who wants a CFL will walk into a Walmart and purchase one. Once there, they are stricken with 10 different choices and to top that off, higher prices than conventional bulbs. Not to mention, ours has an additional gizmo to confuse (or hopefully intrigue) buyers.
I see a few hurdles....
1. Landing a big chain of stores Walmart, Target, HD, Lowe's etc
2. Keeping price competitive with bulbs not offering an ionizor
3. Standing out on the shelf from the other 10 competing bulbs.
Just my two cents..... I hope we can break away from the rest of the competition. It would be nice to see this company soar.
