Confusing, isn't it?

Tell that to the billions of Christians, Muslims, Buddhists, etc.

Aah. The price for the product, not the membership.
Sorry.

(and someone who didn't read about the special she was running. It's hard to get good help these days.)
I just looked at the site. A 15% discount is available at the cost of your email address and a gold card is $15. Where did you find the $79.99 charge?

McDonnell's statement
Earlier this evening Governor Bob McDonnell held an open press event to provide his first public remarks regarding today's wrongful federal indictment against a man who has served his nation and the Commonwealth with distinction for his entire adult life. The text of his remarks are below.
The Restoration Fund
-------
STATEMENT OF FORMER GOVERNOR ROBERT F. MCDONNELL
RICHMOND, VIRGINIA
Good evening.
My fellow Virginians, I come before you this evening as someone who has been falsely accused and whose public service has been wrongfully attacked. Earlier today, federal prosecutors filed criminal charges against me and my wife Maureen, alleging that we violated federal law by accepting gifts and loans from Jonnie Williams, the former CEO of Star Scientific. I deeply regret accepting legal gifts and loans from Mr. Williams, all of which have been repaid with interest, and I have apologized for my poor judgment for which I take full responsibility. However, I repeat emphatically that I did nothing illegal for Mr. Williams in exchange for what I believed was his personal generosity and friendship.
I never promised - and Mr. Williams and his company never received - any government benefit of any kind from me or my Administration: no contract, loan, grant, funding, legislation, budget appropriation, regulation, board or commission appointment, or any other official state benefit. I never promised or attempted to influence anyone to give Mr. Williams or his company any official state benefit. I did not try to hide or deceive anyone about my friendship with Mr. Williams. Two independent and non-political investigations have confirmed that Mr. Williams and Star Scientific received nothing from the State, and not one penny of taxpayer money went to him or Star Scientific during my Administration.
Not one penny.
Star Scientific publicly confirmed last spring that it neither sought nor received any special benefits from any official. The federal government's case rests entirely on a misguided legal theory: that facilitating an introduction or meeting, appearing at a reception, or expressing support for a Virginia business is a serious federal crime for an office holder if it involves a political donor or someone who gave a gift or loan. The U.S. Supreme Court has already rejected this radical idea and for good reason: if it were applied evenhandedly to every elected official, nearly all of them, from President Obama on down, would have to be charged for providing tangible benefits to donors. My administration provided Mr. Williams the same routine courtesies and access to state government that I - and every other Governor before me - afforded to thousands of individuals, companies, charities, and other organizations, whether they were donors or not. No other elected official has ever been successfully prosecuted for such conduct, yet federal officials in Washington, in their zeal to find a basis to charge Maureen and me, have decided to stretch the law to its breaking point.
For 37 years, I have loyally and enthusiastically served my country and state as a U.S. Army Officer, a state prosecutor, a Member of the House of Delegates, Attorney General, and as your Governor. Serving as Governor of Virginia has been the highest professional honor of my life, and I have given my heart and soul to help the people of Virginia. My actions over the past four years were completely dedicated to providing common sense and compassionate solutions to the challenges Virginians face. My team and I worked successfully with Republicans and Democrats to support our citizens, and our work produced good results - creating jobs and record budget surpluses, enacting major education reforms, fixing our state's transportation and pension systems crises, and taking care of foster children, the homeless, and the mentally ill.
Although the federal investigation of my family has been indescribably agonizing, I believe the facts and the law are on our side, and we will face these false accusations with strength and firm resolve. I have great faith in God, who has blessed me immensely with positions of public trust, a loving family, and devoted friends. I also have great faith in the American justice system. I will use every available resource and advocate I have for as long as it takes to fight these false allegations, and to prevail against this unjust overreach of the federal government.
There is no way for me to fully convey how much I appreciate the ongoing steadfast support and encouragement of friends and countless fellow Virginians through this most difficult and unexpected test of my life. My family and I are most grateful for your prayers and affections.
Thank you for listening to me.
Funny. So do I. And I hope you're wrong. Bet you do too.

I got involved When Klaus Moeller bought the shell from PTEL. Klaus's wife ran a women's clothing company called Gleeworks. The storefront was in Beverly Hills, near the Celebrity Vault. I don't know why he picked that name or, for that matter, why she did either. So far as I know, the shell never really did anything until he RMed it into Capital Art, the successor to Celebrity, Inc.
The company is trying to survive in the "iconic photograph" space. They have the rights to the Frank Worth collection of hundreds of candid photos of Hollywood stars (and some who never made it that big), most of them early in their careers. I've seen snapshots of Norma Jean, the rat pack relaxing, etc. They just ran a Groupon sale last week. They do pretty well through social media.
So, the company in it's current incarnation is legit. I can't speak for the first two companies.
Dino
Yes I keep track of Capital Art. The shell from MDFY, etc. was sold to them as a reverse merger. The companies have nothing but the registration in common. That is a fairly common practice in the market.
This company has different people, different products, different name. Maybe the goals are the same...making money.
Dino
I bolded part of your post below. I didn't realize that it had been approved, not just applied for. I consider that good news.
Dino
"http://www.fda.gov/ICECI/EnforcementActions/WarningLetters/2013/ucm379639.htm#
"In addition, your Anatabloc and CigRx products contain anatabine as a dietary ingredient. While anatabine has been authorized as an investigational new drug, it is also considered a new dietary ingredient, which is subject to premarket approval. To date, a premarket notification has not submitted to FDA, for your products containing anatabine; therefore, they are deemed to be adulterated. As explained further below, introducing or delivering these products for introduction into interstate commerce for such uses violates the Act."
I can't recall seeing any written advertising for Anatabloc; however, that statement is printed on the box and every bottle.
Dino
They didn't wait for you. Maybe this is why, but I see this as neutral.

Press Release: Gold Resource Corporation Chairman William Reid to Retire; Vice Chairman Bill Conrad Named Successor
47 minutes ago - DJNF
Gold Resource Corporation Chairman William Reid to Retire; Vice Chairman Bill Conrad Named Successor
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO--(Marketwired - Dec 30, 2013) - Gold Resource Corporation (NYSE MKT: GORO) (the "Company") announced today that Mr. William (Bill) Reid, Chairman of the Company's Board of Directors, will retire his post effective December 31, 2013. The Company's Vice Chairman, Mr. Bill Conrad, was unanimously selected by the Board of Directors to succeed Bill Reid as Chairman of the Board. Gold Resource Corporation is a gold and silver producer with operations in the southern state of Oaxaca, Mexico. The Company has returned over $92 million to shareholders in monthly dividends since declaring production July 1, 2010, and offers shareholders the option to convert their cash dividends into physical gold and silver and take delivery.
Mr. Bill Reid's retirement from the Board of Directors marks a major milestone in his three decades-plus career in the mining industry. The Company congratulates Mr. Reid on his retirement decision and thanks him for his vision and his dedicated service since the Company's inception. Mr. Reid, along with his brother David Reid, the Company's former VP of Exploration who retired earlier this year, worked tirelessly to create and build Gold Resource Corporation from a start-up junior explorer into the gold and silver producer it has become today.
Bill Conrad, the Company's longest tenured independent director, having served since 2006, will take over the Chairman role for Gold Resource Corporation. From 1990 until December 2012, Mr. Conrad served as Vice-President of MCM Capital Management, Inc., a privately-held financial and management consulting firm he co-founded. Mr. Conrad also serves as a director of Synergy Resources Corporation.
In connection with the retirement of Mr. Reid, the Board has determined it will reduce the number of members to its current number of four, with three of these four seats held by independent directors, for the foreseeable future.
"I am very proud of Gold Resource Corporation and the team of professionals we have put in place, and I believe the Company is unique in its approach to the industry," stated Mr. Bill Reid. "I am very pleased we built this Company from scratch into a precious metal producer of gold and silver distributing meaningful dividends to its shareholders. And, I am confident in the ability of Jason Reid, Bill Conrad and our team to continue to build value for the shareholders of Gold Resource."
"Bill Reid, along with his brother David Reid, sustained long careers in this challenging mining business, surviving the difficult times and prospering during good times of this cyclical industry," stated Gold Resource Corporation's Chairman, Mr. Bill Conrad. "Bill has left a legacy of multiple deposit discoveries and mine building to his name. We wish Bill well as he turns to the next chapter in his life and are pleased that he plans to consult for us as we search for and evaluate potential future mining projects."
Gold Resource Corporation's CEO and President, Mr. Jason Reid stated, "I would like to congratulate Mr. Conrad on his promotion to Chairman of the Board and look forward to working with him in his new capacity."
I wish they would move a bit faster in executing them.

This should help the volume. An official announcement of the current plans.

LEF will cover anatabine when they can sell it. As of now, they sell competing products so they certainly aren't going to tell you how much better something else is.
I've tried at least twice to get Life Enhancement Products to write an article about it. Both with Will Block and Durk Pearson. Nope.
What I don't understand is why neither outfit sells Anatabloc. I can buy it over the counter at a local drugstore, so GNC doesn't have exclusive rights.
Dino
All this solar pole reversal's messed up my GPS.
Actually I assumed there was a nearby region of Oaxaca know as Monterey. We only have so many names and keep reusing them. My condo is just outside of the town of California, near the mouth of the San Diego River. That's in Nicaragua, not the USA. Just because I've never heard of it doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
I never even considered that Reid would be dumb enough to take on the Californian environmentalists. Even sitting on a gold mine, he doesn't have enough money.
I'm hoping to hear more about some of the other claims. We got some hints.
"The increase in 2013 principally resulted from an expanded drilling program, including on our Las Margaritas property during the first quarter of 2013 and from an aerial geophysical survey over our Oaxaca property trend. Exploration costs associated with definition and delineation drilling of the La Arista vein system are reflected in facilities and mine construction expenses.
"Facilities and mine construction expenses.
"Facilities and mine construction expenses during the three months ended September 30, 2013 were $5.7 million, resulting in an increase of $0.3 million when compared to $5.4 million during the
comparable period in 2012. Facilities and mine construction expenses during the nine months ended September 30, 2013
were $17.4 million, resulting in an increase of $3.9 million when compared to $13.5 million during the comparable period in
2012. The increase in facilities and mine construction expenses for both the three and nine months end ed September 30, 2013
was principally due to our mill expansion project that commenced in early 2013. In addition to mine construction expenses, facilities and mine construction expense also includes drilling definition and delineation of the La Arista vein system."
Dino
They've had a share buyback program going on for almost a year, I think. I've forgotten when it began, but as I recall, they set aside $5,000,000 to buy back shares.
Oil would be nice, but it's illegal. PEMEX is a government monopoly. No one else is allowed to drill for oil. Not even the US majors. Especially not the US majors.
Dino
Their policy is to split the income 1/3 taxes, 1/3 exploration/development and 1/3 dividends. Jason restated that commitment during the conference call. Looking at the numbers, he's really using cash flow, not earnings, so we get 1/3 before depreciation, etc.
In short, when the company gets more money, so will you. Even better, so will I.

The Pellas hospital in Managua is considered one of the most modern in the world. My brother, who used to run the ER in Laguna Beach, is jealous of the equipment they have. Most of the doctors studied in the US. Remember, 50 years ago there was a revolution going on. Anyone who could, sent their children to the US to keep them safe. The revolution ended almost 35 years ago. Those children, and their children, are slowly returning. They are well educated, know US business methods and are relatively wealthy. They demand, and receive, good medical care. For something like brain cancer, they transfer the patient to Anderson in Houston, two hours away by air.
I've kept my membership to DAN (Divers' Assistance Network) for years even though I haven't gotten my feet wet since 1990. One of the features of membership is air evacuation for illness or accidents. It's good even if the problem has nothing to do with diving. I think if you travel a lot it's worth $45/year. (I think that's the basic membership fee.)
I can't send private messages on this board, but you can. If you'd like more information, PM a contact email and we can continue this offline.
Dino
I agree with you. The people are friendly, the country is beautiful, the weather is great and I even like the food.
My condo is on the Pacific shore about 40 miles west of Managua. We're building a resort community. Wyndham just signed on and the government is finally paving the road into the property.
Probably my favorite place, besides my own, is Selva Negra, a coffee plantation in the mountains of Matagalpa. Absolutely beautiful, peaceful and quiet. I grew up in hill country, so that's my kind of place.
Dino
Likewise for Nicaragua. It's retirement program is even cheaper - $500/month requirement. I think it's prettier, too.
Dino
What I meant was that the shorts would cover before the record date if given enough time. Setting a record date two or three weeks in the future would cause a squeeze, but the products would still be given away. Only the slowest of the shorters would have to buy the products. Setting the record date as of the day before the announcement - perfectly legal - would screw the naked shorts and discourage them from ever doing that again.
It might still be worth it as advertising and discouraging future shorting even if the company gives all of the product away.
Dino
To do that affordably, the record date would have to be retroactive. Given a few days to act, there would probably be a short squeeze, but the company would still have to bear the expense of the distribution. That profit you figured on would disappear.
Dino
Why is that bad?
Dino
I told my doctor that Anatabloc doesn't thin the blood. I didn't have any problems. The only problem I've had like that was the last time I had a biopsy the nurse told me to resume my daily aspirin regimen after three days. BIG mistake. You know another name for scabs? They're called blot clots. Aspirin thinned them, they fell off and I bled...profusely.
But the Anatabloc? No problem.
Dino
I think traders were hoping for a dividend increase. The preliminary earnings report indicated that production should be increasing. My guess is the divvy won't go up until the first of the year.
Dino
The statistic I always hear is that 9 (or 8, depending on where you see the phrase) options expire worthless. My solution to that problem is to not be holding that option on expiration day. If it's a covered call or naked put, I never 'own' it. (Bernanke isn't the only one who can do stuff like that.) If it's a covered put or naked call, I look around for that greater fool to sell it to.
Dino
Probably around the 10th of November. It's due by the 15th.
Dino
He's in Mexico today.
Dino
My granddaughter had a similar reaction. If she took more than one Anatabloc in the morning and one in the evening she got an upset stomach and other symptoms. She switched to the unflavored version and hasn't had a reaction - or a flare-up - since.
She still has a problem with some foods, but the symptoms are now short-lived and mild. Problem is, she never knows what's bad for her until after she's tried it. Similar foods won't bother her.
It's a weird disease.
Dino
How much do you think it will take to " FULLY fund the development and production of our other properties"? The JV has been appraised at $100,000,000. A sale of even a small part of that would be more than adequate to open the Julio. San Felix just needs a truck and a power bucket.
Dino

Then you'd better start buying today. Today is the second "pour", and they are planned to be continuous from now on. They'll probably pause at Christmas and Semana Santa, though.

The registered agent is Pamela Catania, 7 East Second Street, Richmond, VA 23224. My guess is that she is their attorney. That's all the information currently available from the Commonwealth of Virginia State Corporation Commission.

Good luck,
Dino
Looks like some folks have no sense of humor at all.
Either that, or you didn't read the last sentence.
Dino
Understand? Sure. But you misjudged the problem.
You couldn't eat enough vegetables and fruit to get the amount of nutrients to be equivalent to even one Anatabloc lozenge. What you need to be selling is JUICE!
Yeah, that's the ticket.
Dino

Dino
I have to agree with you. I've been taking Anatabloc since it came out, and CigRx before that. My thyroid function has steadily worsened. Last week I gave in to my doctor and started thyroid hormone replacement therapy.
See, it's not snake oil. But it's really good at what it does do.
Dino
Then why are you holding it?
Same here. I have a recurring order that was "Sent to shipping" on 8/23. Not only have I not received it, but it doesn't even have a tracking number yet.
I called customer care on 9/3 and here's what's in my file:
"customer called to check on shipment. states shipment pending. escalated for reship. *LB"
I called again last night and was told by a supervisor named Brian that they were running behind because of the three-day weekend. Since my order was supposed to be shipped a week before the holiday, I hung up and called David Dean.
At least he is now aware of how screwed up his shipping department is.
Dino
P.S. I'm writing this while on hold with Rock Creek to see if I can get a better explanation this time. 8 minutes, so far.
I kept a few of the dispensers from my last order of the flavored ones. I've been refilling them ever since with the unflavored variety. I tried removing the cover, popping the top and dumping in a bunch. The top comes off in your pocket, even when I used Scotch tape.
Now I just extend the tray, insert one lozenge, retract the tray, tilt the container back and repeat 20 - 30 times. A Nuisance, but it works.
