Yep, just like Goldberg and his many zeros comment.
I agree. I myself have had doubts in recent years, but gotta say, in the 14 years I've owned this stock I've never felt more confident in our future. Me thinks IDCC's spring is wound very tight right now. Something will happen in the near future......I just hope it's too our benefit. JMO
GHors, while I respect your opiinion, what's your gut feeling about CAFC vs ITC? Do you think there'll be any hand slapping? And what do you see in the final determination? Thanks
Thanks Rev.
If Nokia and ZTE would rather now take their chances with CAFC than Delaware, then I have one word. WOW!!!!!!!! JMHO
Revlis, so you are in favor of letting CAFC decide in this case? Btw, it's good to see you posting again.
I'm hoping his experience at QCOM will enhance his career with IDCC. He was responsible for CDMA global accounts......IMO, this could prove to be his key asset.
Yes, for sure.....I talked with Frank on the phone a couple times. What a piece of work he was. JMO
That's amazing....I can't believe they are shorting even more. These guys must have balls of steel. JMO
Olddog, IMO if corruption and political influence can infiltrate the IRS it can happen with ITC.
Soooo, Jist how many shares are you short?
Hmmm, we're up a buck and change on no news.....wonder if IDCC is buying back some shares.
Yep, come on Mickey..........how about a few screaming buys? It seems to be working. LOL
I'm not sure whether you are correct or not, but that's the way I understood it too.
Hey guys,
Apologize for this but I just got confused on the 8-K. So the 866 and 947 patents the ALJ still found no infringement. So he did not take the CAFC ruling in this from the 613 case but took the 800 claim construction for these 2 patents? I thought he was going to construe them based on the CAFC ruling and the Markham hearing which is the way IDCC wanted them to be. Am I incorrect in this thinking?
Maybe uncle Billy is buying shares!!!!
I have a better question. Why are you invested in a stock that you hold such negative ideals about?
Hmmm, maybe Samsung could back out of their license agreement too.....Jist sayin.....again!
Hey Jist, have you thought about selling your shares and walking away without looking back? Jist sayin....
You might want re-read the PR. It's a BINDING arbitration.
IIRC, the cafc already validated 2 out 3 patents involved. JMO
people who sold at 48.00 the other day made thousands and getting back in
On the other hand, shorts that didn't cover at $42-$43 range may have lost thousands. I only traded IDCC one time back in 2005. I was lucky enough to make a profit....bought an extra 150 shares. I was happy to quit while ahead.
Is there any way to find out if IDCC is buying shares today? Otherwise something could be brewing. JMO
didnt someone ask at the shareholders meeting how long it takes to sign these deals and a reply was as long as 18 months???????
I believe 18 months is from the beginning of negotiations. You gotta think IDCC has been in discussions with Apple long before expiration of their current license. JMO
I won't say that the stock repurchase program will cause a jumbo short squeeze, but I imagine this could make them a tad nervous going forward. JMO
Thank you! That explains a lot.
GBR, who is Sierra and how would they know about an offer from QCOM? Tia
IMO, the only way you made a mistake is if you sell too soon.
Thank you! Your last few posts offer great cheer and confidence for us long time IDCC shareholders. Btw, did you get back in?
IMO, worse case scenario in todays trading is many shorts were able to cover at a discount.
Myself, I can't think of a better time to kick in their repurchase program than RIGHT NOW!
I am not the least bit concerned about this ITC crap.
I tend to agree with your thoughts........but about 2 million shares currently disagree.
That is not Interdigital's problem. They just need to execute their business plan which they are doing in a minefield fairly well.
Yes, after 40 some years......maybe its time to execute their business plan.
IDCC just doubled the payout for waiting what more could you ask for?
Again, yes......while reaching in the cookie jar at the same time. Do you think "they" would have been happy with a $.20 per share bonus? Highly doubtful!
JMO
I agree without a doubt that IDCC is undervalued. I don't know your age, but a few of us are approaching retirement and are trying to plan a exit strategy. I also doubt that many here view their investment as a permanent one. Guys like Jimlurs and Loop have been here many years and I would think they deserve to see some fruition in their investment. Just sayin.....
Blta
There, RIGHT THERE, that's what I'm talking about. That's why you are a high value poster. Telling it like it is without the "who's on first" analogies. Thank you Data!
IMO, most of us are pleased with current events with IDCC. However, Merritt never should have set an unattainable goal of $800m if he can't back it up......and I noticed you removed your "I will not accept any less" comment from the bottom of your posts. And, you have to admit that Merritt's back walking will change investors exit strategy for the long term. JMO
Wasn't there a fifth quote also?
5. IDCC is a mini QCOM
How does this affect your trading/investing strategy going forward? Does it change your timeframe on how long to stay in your position?
Miller, do you have an opinion on Merritt's back walking about his previous goal of $800m? Tia
Me thinks Billy and crew will still be reaching in the cookie jar.........because they can. JMO
Anyone getting audio on the webcast?
I noticed that the volume seemed to fade in and out during the meeting, especially when Merritt was talking.
