Nice find Rickyaces
Since when is Laura now Denver based, I thought she was Seattle area??
Because it's Neom, historically they always wait until deadlines.
That was just my 2 cents, history just seems to repeat itself.
Fastest way to create an Android app – AppsGeyser
http://www.gomonews.com/fastest-way-to-create-an-android-app-appsgeyser/
Neomedia, according to Zima's attempts to pay, has the money owed to the attorneys with the intent to pay. So we'll see how Neom handles this.
Riddle me this: if Neomedia wanted to make payments and O'Leary said No (according to Zima), then how does a board member and acting chief operating officer supersede a board chairman and acting CEO (ahem...Marriott) on making the final call?
I wonder if this was a key factor in Iain's departure??
Pop, I was thinking a little bit more about this.
Perhaps the eBay deal washed out the would-be drop from the lawsuit news. The first trading day after the lawsuit was the same day the eBay 8k was filed.
10-k is due 3/31, so it will likely be able to be viewed by us, the shareholders, 3 days later...or 4/4 or 4/5. 4/19 is two weeks after that, so we'll have to assume that the day it's released we'll be sending mass amounts of questions to Laura and Mike. They will need to decifer the emails, determine which ones to answer, determine how to side-step the issues at hand in our questions IF they choose one of those questions to actually answer, script it, run it by the lawyers, run it by YA, practice it and then GO-LIVE on 4/19.
Nothing significant, just buying time to sugar coat for us.
That is interesting, failed to think of that. But, as we've all witnessed before...what's stopping Neom from accepting a loan that gives 51% voting power to YA?
Just saying, been there...done that. There are alternatives to the issue. I sure hope we're not heading down that road again. Cross fingers I suppose.
Very well said jeffz2
The best chance I see for leadership coming in is through going private or being acquired. I can only imagine the reputation damage Marriott has done to herself, she seemed well positioned to make a name for herself prior to joining Neom.
I still firmly believe this Bruce Braun guy will be appointed CEO seeing how he's been "CEO" for other companies before.
Right on Pop, I believe this POS isn't going to move until decent leadership comes around.
Also, very funny about suggesting board elections. You and SOG have been cracking me up all day.
EDIT: decent PUBLIC COMPANY leadership needs to come around
Krays, this patent (6,101,534) was updated to: Reexam Litigation Search Conducted on 2/14. Any ideas as to what it means?
To me it looks like just a summary of legal cases revolving around this patent, just wondering why it would be conducted...thoughts?
Road, you should re-read my other post from this morning. I highlighted that is seemed Neom has the money to pay as indicated by Zima, but O'Leary did not permit payment. So....I take that as being good as well since Zima wanted to make payments to them. I also find it interesting that O'Leary was specifically mentioned for punitive damages.
So the 1.75 million dollar question is where are these funds being kept? Financials didn't show it and I'm fairly confident the licensing 8k's did not mention escrow accounts. It has to be somewhere on some sort of book.
My question is where is the money? Because it sure as $hi@ did not end up on the financials!
Another question for anyone:
Of the 1.75 million being sought, how much of this is actually Neom licensing and how much of it is "punitive damages" from O'Leary?
Where were they 'withholding' these funds? I don't recall seeing anything near this amount in the financials.
By the sounds of Zima, Neom has the money and are ready to pay...but O'Leary said NO. If that's the case I would assume Neom would settle their suit and leave O'Leary on his own.
Seems to be some bad blood between Zima and O'Leary for Zima to say O'Leary said No.
Today is the deadline to license those other patents, but you have upto 3 days to file an 8k. I also raised the question of if Neom would need to file an 8k since they had mentioned the possibility in the first 8k. Pop seemed to think they would need to file, but was not 100%. I'm not sure either.
Slept on news of the lawsuit and I'm still PO'd. But, and perhaps Pop will know this best:
If in the event a takeover is coming as some have suggested, would it be beneficial to the law firms to push this matter now to get a 'settlement' figure proposed in the terms of the takeover since the ones taking over will assume Neom debts.
Doubt it, they have upto 5 billion shares at their disposal to soften their fall.
It's Laura's ship right now though...it's her responsibility, if Neom in fact did not pay the bills she knew of it prior to and at the time of interm CEO position acceptance. I'm sure these firms did not just out of the blue file the claims...usually they send many many threats to get payment before action is actually taken.
But yes, IOU's have and continue to be a big big mess. Just a matter of who's in charge when the Sh&* hits the fan. Or should I say, when even more and more Sh&* hits the fan.
great.
see everyone sub-penny next week.
I must say since Jan 1, this stretch of news and activity has been more detrimental than this time last year with the R/S was proposed. Thanks Laura...this is on your clock by the way. Perhaps a resignation is warranted, sooner rather than later???

The world's largest mobile conference just wrapped up, and this is what we hear from Neom?
Nice. Well done Laura.
What’s Different at this Year’s Mobile World Congress in Mobile Codes
http://mobilenextbigthing.biz/2011/02/17/qa-with-clinique/
There are many new announcements in the mobile code space here at Mobile World Congress (MWC) – new partner alliances and recent reports of more scans taking place around the globe, with leading countries growing at triple digit rates. There are enhanced reader/scanners that are faster and have new functionality. And enterprises are making more sophisticated use of barcodes, combining multiple applications into rich experiences.
Mobile barcodes provide a unique advertising medium that easily delivers relevant content to consumers and makes traditional media both interactive and measurable. Barcodes are just one of the discovery mechanisms used in mobile marketing and they are evolving into new form factors, including image recognition and more secure watermarks.
Additionally, Near Field Communications (NFC) is also making inroads with some phone manufacturers putting NFC functionality in their devices. All the while, enterprises are continuing to use traditional SMS short codes and mobile web technologies.
This growing complexity in discovery and application technologies is driving new requirements for scale and openness. Multiple players have to cooperate to provide a simple experience for end users while generating the targeting and control that enterprises want to achieve.
At the same time, the buzz is increasing and many new players are trying to capitalize on this growing marketplace, adding to the confusion and fragmentation.
Neustar has a history of making connections possible — bringing consumers, businesses, mobile operators, technology enablement players and corresponding technologies together — no matter the network, the device, the application or specific technology used.
We traditionally occupy a central clearinghouse and registry position, where we can help bridge the gap between companies, technologies, policy management and roles in an industry.
We’ve had extensive conversations and testing with numerous players and technologies in the barcode space over the last year, and we feel that the need for a clearinghouse to support the increasing diversity of mobile marketing programs, technologies and approaches is becoming increasingly apparent.
As companies’ usage of barcodes and mobile marketing matures, they will invest in putting more and more barcodes and short codes on their products, content and media. This will extend their brand, making these discovery mechanisms valuable digital assets that they will want to own and control.
No matter the make up of the code, be it direct, indirect or another open standard, these codes are digital assets that belong to the brand and must be treated as such. As brands, retailers and other enterprise players exploit these codes by linking them to a variety of content and applications, they will need a central registry to help track and manage their assets.
A clearinghouse allows organizations the agility to delegate their codes to third party application and content campaign managers as needed. This makes it easier for them to add enhanced value to their codes, repurpose them as well as redirect these mobile assets when and where needed.
Neustar’s mobile registry and clearinghouse is meant to serve that purpose. We will support open standards as well as more closed systems as long as the entire ecosystem is agreeable. For example, if a company uses an open code with a unique encoding format, as long as the ecosystem agrees to that, Neustar can support it.
In addition to independent clearing of requests across entities and enrichment of those requests with anonymous metadata, Neustar’s mobile barcode services provide validation/verification of third party marketing activities (including cooperative marketing and coupon redemption).
We will be showcasing our solution at the upcoming CTIA and ad:tech events. Hope to see you there!
Road, love the optimism as always, but I think you said what everyone's frustration is:
"runs a campaign"
Campaigns are far and few between. We're at a point where many campaigns need to be running at the same time because that's what all of our competition seem to be able to do. That's a big reason why Neom shifted from relying on re-sellers to diving head first into being the campaign managers themselves.
Personally, my frustration lies within poor leadership and lack of known campaigns. Word of mouth is the best marketing tool one can have, and if Neom can't spread the word then they're missing out on free PR.
FWIW: '048 Review status date changed to yesterday's date, but no docs have been uploaded.
Thanks Julie!
They forgot to board the plane b/c they were to excited to cash YA's most recent check.
B!Digital has press releases out, but I can't read them. Can anyone translate?

Brought it up because of this:
I would be confident in saying people set stop-loss %, thus why so much happened so quickly. Snowball effect.
We also started in the green yesterday...and look where we ended up. I like your optimism though, and I hope you're right and I'm wrong.
No, I think we'll still go sub-penny this week. Way too many pissed off shareholders that are just going to call it quits. It will be interesting to see how much of yesterday's volume were actually YA friends - I predict not more than 500k.
As for sellers being gone, YA just got more shares for 2/11 cash infusion...and Cline seems to just sell whenever and whatever he can.
It's just disgusting where we were 2 months ago to now. Since Laura has taken the reins we've set 2 lows, she seriously needs to get the F out of this business. She sucks.
Approaching 2 months without a PR (don't consider the hiring of Bruce Braun to be relevant) and on day 3 of the largest mobile event in the world...and there's no words from Neom.
Guess our only hope is that daytraders take us on an upswing.
Not soon enough
Because at this PPS I can't even afford a hat to put the feather in.

Anyone know anything about suing BOD members for false claims of Fiduciary Duty?
