CHICAGO--(BUSINESS WIRE)--James Monroe Corporation (Pink Sheets: JMCP - News) has successfully executed its restricted stock dividend of ONYI, and now shareholders own two stocks, with ONYI being more valuable, respectively. Shareholders are advised to check with their brokers for more information such as when stock will show up in brokerage accounts and when stock can be safely sold without losing the dividend.
Taylor Moffitt commented, "We're transitioning into a new opportunity here. We all now own two stocks, and need to make the most of both of them. Yes, the news you've heard about our new project at ONYI is real. I saw this machine work with my own eyes, touched it, reviewed university certification documents, and chemical analysis documents myself. While Chris and I are focusing on ONYI projects (that other companies have allegedly attempted to purchase with offers to the tune of $9 and $12 billion) we do not want to waste our most liquid asset, JMCP. Next week we will begin what may be a long process of interviewing potential executives to head up JMCP. Chris and I will continue to remain loyal shareholders, supporters, and advisors for JMCP, and will continue to refer deals to the company, even if new talent is coming to inspire fresh ideas. We will be selective, and hire the best person for the job. Diane Aldrich will remain with JMCP. As we all know, ONYI now owns many of the assets and projects JMCP had, including the JMCP name. However, I am pleased to announce that the James Monroe Capital of today will be keeping its name, will continue to be viable, and will continue to grow into the future. I have heard the requests of my long-term partners and the need for liquidity and growth, and I treat all of my long-term partners as family. Over my dead body will anyone be allowed to hurt my family. God Bless."

Modern Technology Corp Announces Initial Cancer Detection Target Market for 2007 and Operational Update
Friday January 5, 3:05 pm ET
OXFORD, Miss., Jan. 5, 2007 (PRIME NEWSWIRE) -- Modern Technology Corp (Other OTC:MODC.PK - News), a bioscience technology development and acquisition company, announced today its initial target market for 2007 and a brief update on its new bioscience operations unit, Insight Medical Group.
Initial Market:
The first market for 2007 and the AnuCyte Cancer Detection System will be the vast and competition-free space of ``indeterminates.'' These 'indeterminate' samples are termed ``ASCUS'' and result when a cytologist or pathologist is unable to determine the presence or absence of cancer in a patient's specimen. This failure to identify the presence or absence of cancer creates millions of patients yearly that must return for repeated testing until such time as their tissue sample can be confidently determined as normal or cancerous. Our automated AnuCyte Cancer Detection system can eliminate an indeterminate diagnosis by accurately and objectively determining the presence or absence of cancer. At present, we are not aware of any other technology that can eliminate an 'indeterminate' result.
Operational Update:
As promised we have now located a furnished laboratory for the system, and lease negotiations are underway. We have located a lab with 7000 sqft of space filled with existing lab equipment. This will provide us the ability to facilitate our anticipated rapid growth as well as begin immediate operations without the delay of lab 'fit out.' Upon execution of the lease, we will install the AnuCyte Cancer Detection System and immediately begin processing patient samples.
As promised we have decided our initial target market and will announce soon the results of the new relationships and customers generated from our marketing efforts. Stockholders should expect regular updates as we enter our other target markets throughout 2007.
Next week, we will release a detailed business summary with industry assumptions, industry data, sales projections and related risk factors next week as part of continuing effort to provide shareholders with timely information and regular updates on our progress. The release of this document will demonstrate the source of our projections and basis for all of our claims. The AnuCyte system and the market potential are founded on a solid reality of industry data and outstanding science. We have labored long to create this document set and look forward to its release to the public. Also, we will soon publish a comprehensive web-site for Insight Medical Group that contains detailed information on the science and the system.
Anthony Welch, Chairman, said: ``We are entering an exciting time. 2007 is going to be one of the most amazing years of the company's history. I am honored beyond words to be a part of Rasnick and Duesberg's work and I stand proud of my efforts to help bring AnuCyte to the world. What we have been working on for so long is finally starting to happen. I think the entire world will soon know of the AnuCyte system and we believe it will very quickly become the gold standard for all cancer detection worldwide. There simply isn't anything out there that does what it does. We go inside the nucleus, measure genomic/chromosomal imbalance, and return with a quantitative and objective report. We feel this is a quantum leap beyond the 100-year-old qualitative, error-ridden, subjective technique of human inspection of a sample under a microscope that is done today. It is no surprise there are so many 'indeterminates.' We have the answer to this problem and could not possibly be more enthusiastic.''
About the AnuCyte Cancer Detection System
The AnuCyte Cancer Detection System is an automated machine that can rapidly detect any form of cancer. The system accurately identifies cancer at any stage in its development and also identifies healthy cancer-free cells in the same test within the same sample. The system eliminates heretofore unreliable, subjective, and error-prone pathology detection of cancer and delivers an automated and objective measurement of the presence or absence of cancer. The AnuCyte system is the first and only system in the world that uses the measurement of advanced chromosomal imbalance as the primary or sole means of detecting cancer. The company is not aware of any automated system in the world more accurate, or even close to AnuCyte's accuracy.
About AnuCyte's Inventors:
The inventor of the AnuCyte system, Dr. David Rasnick, PhD, and his scientific research collaborator, Dr. Peter Duesberg, PhD, have been prominent names internationally for many years for their research and publications. On many occasions both have appeared internationally on television, in magazines, newspapers and scientific publications. Peter Duesberg is author of the widely available book: ``Inventing the AIDS Virus.'' Investors may wish to read a recent article in Newsweek concerning the cancer research of Peter Duesberg: http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/14757547/site/newsweek/
In 1970, Peter Duesberg isolated the first cancer gene through his work on retroviruses and mapped the genetic structure of these viruses. This and his subsequent work in the same field resulted in his election to the National Academy of Sciences in 1986. He was also the recipient of a seven-year Outstanding Investigator Grant from the National Institute of Health. He has been invited to become a Honorary Member of the World Innovation Foundation alongside 91 Nobel Laureates. (http://www.thewif.org.uk)

Army asks dead to sign up for another hitch
POSTED: 9:39 p.m. EST, January 5, 2007
WASHINGTON (AP) -- The Army said Friday it would apologize to the families of about 275 officers killed or wounded in action who were mistakenly sent letters urging them to return to active duty.
The letters were sent a few days after Christmas to more than 5,100 Army officers who had recently left the service. Included were letters to about 75 officers killed in action and about 200 wounded in action.
"Army personnel officials are contacting those officers' families now to personally apologize for erroneously sending the letters," the Army said in a brief news release issued Friday night.
The Army did not say how or when the mistake was discovered. It said the database normally used for such correspondence with former officers had been "thoroughly reviewed" to remove the names of wounded or dead soldiers.
"But an earlier list was used inadvertently for the December mailings," the Army statement said, adding that the Army is apologizing to those officers and families affected and "regrets any confusion."

Hitachi Introduces 1-Terabyte Hard Drive Melissa J. Perenson, PC World
Fri Jan 5, 12:00 AM ET
Hitachi Global Storage Technologies is first to the mat with an announcement of a 1-terabyte hard disk drive. Industry analysts widely expected a 1TB drive to ship sometime in 2007; Hitachi grabbed a head start on the competition by announcing its drive today, just before the largest U.S. consumer electronics show starts next week.
According to Hitachi, the drive ships in the first quarter of 2007, and will cost $399--less than the price of two individual 500GB hard drives today. The drive, called the Deskstar 7K1000, will be shown this weekend in Las Vegas at the 2007 International CES, also known as the Consumer Electronics Show, as well as at the Storage Visions storage conference.
Hitachi will have three flavors of the 1TB drive; however, only the Deskstar version will be available at launch. The company also plans to offer a CinemaStar version of the drive, for use in DVR and set-top boxes, as well as an enterprise version with a certified mean time between failure rating. Both of those versions are expected in the second quarter of this year.
Industry Milestone
"No question, it's a milestone for the industry," says John Rydning, research manager for hard disk drives and components at IDC. "It's interesting that the industry is delivering a 1TB drive in the 51st year of the industry." The first hard drive, manufactured by IBM, shipped in 1956.
Hitachi notes it took the industry 35 years to reach 1GB (in 1991), 14 years more to reach 500GB (in 2005), and just two more years to reach 1TB.
The company hopes to be the first to market with a 1TB drive. The company is locked in competition with Seagate for those honors; Seagate reconfirmed its intentions to ship a 1TB drive in the first half of 2007, but it has not offered any further details.
Drive Details
Although the jump to 1TB was not unexpected, Hitachi is taking a cautious tactic to achieving 1TB. According to Doug Pickford, director of market and product strategy, "The approach we've taken with the design of this product, and with previous generation products, is that we've purposely relaxed the areal density. The previous generation [500GB] drive was 100GB per platter; and, it was possible to have up to 160GB per platter. About 250GB per platter is the next bump on the areal density curve, but we've backed off from doing that in order to achieve higher reliability at this time."
The Deskstar 7K1000 will be a five-platter drive, each platter capable of storing 200GB apiece. Like Seagate's Barracuda 7200.10 750GB drive, Hitachi's 1TB model uses perpendicular magnetic recording (PMR) to achieve its high capacity point. The 7K1000 is Hitachi's first 3.5-inch hard drive to use PMR technology; last year, the company released 2.5-inch PMR-based hard drives.
Pickford says the drive will be intended for gaming and high-performance PCs, external storage devices, and PC upgrades. "The drive will be shipping in the first quarter to retail stores," says Pickford. "And we're expecting to ship some to external storage device makers as well."
The 7200 rpm Serial-ATA drive will have 32MB data buffer, larger than the typical 8MB or 16MB buffer seen on drives. It will be available in SATA 3.0Gb/s and Parallel-ATA 133 interfaces.
750GB Model Also Coming
In addition to the 1TB model, Hitachi is introducing and shipping a 750GB version of the drive as well. But the company focused its energies on achieving 1TB before its competitors. "We did that by design," says Pickford. "The feedback we got from the market was that if we could get to 1TB sooner, there would be a lot of value for our customers. We already knew that the mechanical platform was mature enough and able to handle the areal density that 1TB needed. So we decided to accelerate our efforts and get to a TB."
Getting to 1TB, adds Pickford, was more about finessing existing processes than inventing new ones. "It was very much in the execution, so you can have the right yields, the right stability, and right quality levels, and make sure it's achievable in the lab as well as in mass production."
Attractive Pricing
With a price of $399, the Deskstar 7K1000 comes in at an attractive price for consumers. That works out to $0.40 per GB--a competitive per-gigabyte cost for a hard drive today, and not much of a premium over previous models. By comparison, a 500GB hard drive today costs about $0.45 per gigabyte, as does Seagate's 750GB Barracuda drive (down from the $0.79 per gigabyte it cost when it launched last spring).
Don't expect to see hard drive prices enter a freefall, though. Says Pickford, "I don't think it will affect the market in a disruptive way. When we set this, we did try to take into account the price of other, lower-capacity drive products. Based on where the market was, we felt $399 was an appropriate price point to set for this technology, so it could achieve good market acceptance."
Although 1TB of storage on a single drive will be alluring to some users, IDC's Rydning sees only very specific demand for that much storage. "For consumers, we still think the big hard drives are mainly for niche applications," says Rydning. "There's going to be a certain minority of PC users and video recorder enthusiasts who will want to have the highest capacity available. And in those markets, a high-capacity drive is valued. However, the vast majority of PC users are still serviced by a one-platter, 160GB hard drive."
Consumers' increasing accumulation of digital personal data is, not surprisingly, driving the need for high-capacity storage. "As people amass their own personal memories, either in photographs or video, hard disk drive storage is one of the best, lowest cost ways to store and retrieve that type of data," says Rydning.
that's what the company emailed me, it should be A/S, but no sure

ExxonMobil cultivates global warming doubt: report By Deborah Zabarenko, Environment Correspondent
1 hour, 9 minutes ago
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Energy giant ExxonMobil borrowed tactics from the tobacco industry to raise doubt about climate change, spending $16 million on groups that question global warming, a science watchdog group said on Wednesday.
"ExxonMobil has manufactured uncertainty about the human causes of global warming just as tobacco companies denied their product caused lung cancer," Alden Meyer of the Union of Concerned Scientists said at a telephone news conference releasing the report.
An ExxonMobil spokesman did not respond immediately to calls for comment.
The union, a nonprofit group based in Cambridge, Massachusetts, said ExxonMobil, the world's biggest publicly traded corporation, had succeeded in parlaying a relatively modest investment into unwarranted public doubt on findings that have been overwhelmingly endorsed by mainstream science.
ExxonMobil did this by using the same methods used for decades by the U.S. tobacco industry, the report said, including:
-- raising doubts about even the most undisputed science;
-- funding a variety of front organizations to create the appearance of a broad platform;
-- recruiting a number of vocal climate change contrarians;
-- portraying its opposition to action as a quest for "sound science" rather than business self-interest;
-- using its access to the Bush administration to shape federal communications and policies on global warming.
TOBACCO TACTICS
U.S. tobacco companies used these tactics for decades to hide the hazards of smoking, and were found liable in federal court last year for violating racketeering laws.
Global warming has been blamed for stronger hurricanes, more wildfires and worse droughts. While there have been cycles of warming and cooling throughout Earth's history, the last 30 years have seen a steep warming trend which most scientists say is due to emission of so-called greenhouse gases by the burning of fossil fuels in vehicles, factories and power plants.
ExxonMobil has funded legitimate scientific studies on climate change, the watchdog report said, but noted it has also spent approximately $16 million between 1998 and 2005 on 43 organizations that have cast doubt on the reality of human-caused global warming.
The report said these have ranged from $30,000 for the group Africa Fighting Malaria, which argues on its Web site against urgent action on climate change, to $1.6 million to the American Enterprise Institute, a pro-business think tank in Washington.
James McCarthy, professor of biological oceanography and director of the Museum of Comparative Zoology at Harvard University, noted a 2005 statement issued by the U.S. National Academy of Sciences and 10 science academies from other countries, affirming that "climate change is now sufficiently clear to justify nations taking prompt action."
"This report reveals for the first time the degree to which efforts to exaggerate uncertainty in climate science produce non scientific reports designed to cast doubt on published scientific climate studies have been orchestrated by ExxonMobil," McCarthy said at the news conference

ONYI Diversified Ethanol A Division of Originally New York, Inc Expands with 14-Acre Purchase On Schedule
Business Wire - January 3, 2007 8:43 AM (EDT)
CHICAGO, Jan 03, 2007 (BUSINESS WIRE) -- Diversified Ethanol, a division of Originally New York, Inc (OTCBB:ONYI) today closes on the purchase of a 14 acre site where it intends to build one of its ethanol plants. This will bring the young but aggressively expanding company's inventory from one plant to two. After that plant is completed, the company intends to expand again. The ethanol industry has seen rapid growth taking place as lawmakers are legislating ethanol blending into business. Diversified Ethanol seeks to market new technology that it hopes will make the biofuels industry more cost effective.
The 14-acre purchase features grain storage bins, steel tanks, hoppers, augers, a steel building to house equipment, a building that will become the lab, storage buildings, and its own well.
The company's pilot plant now stands ready to run, awaiting permits. Once permits are in place, the process of optimizing the plant will begin, which usually takes several months.
Regarding merger rumors, the company denies rumors that any definitive agreements have been reached, but acknowledges that it has been in talks with multiple companies. CEO Taylor Moffitt stated, "If anything happens, we will put out a press release as soon as we have any solid news that can benefit our shareholders."

Critical QuickTime Flaw Discovered Matthew Broersma, Techworld.com
Tue Jan 2, 11:00 AM ET
Apple's QuickTime software has a highly serious bug that could leave Windows and Mac users open to attacks by malicious Web sites, according to a project aimed at disclosing Apple bugs throughout January.
The QuickTime flaw launches the Month of Apple Bugs (MOAB), which follows on from efforts such as the Month of Kernel Bugs and the Month of Browser Bugs. The bug was discovered by LMH, a MOAB organizer who hasn't disclosed his name.
Easy Exploit
The flaw affects any Windows or Mac OS X bug with QuickTime Player version 7.1.3 installed; previous versions are also probably vulnerable. The problem lies in the way QuickTime handles addresses beginning with "rtsp://", and can be exploited to create a stack-based buffer overflow using HTML, Javascript, or a QTL file, LMH wrote.
The attack can execute malicious code and take over a system. "Exploitation of this issue is trivial," LMH wrote. He supplied a working exploit, which makes the problem all the more dangerous.
Immediate Threat
The problem hasn't been patched yet. Possible workarounds include uninstalling QuickTime and disabling the rtsp:// handler.
Secunia and FrSIRT both agreed the bug poses an immediate threat

Inventor creates ping pong for three By KARIN STANTON
2 hours, 30 minutes ago
KAILUA-KONA, Hawaii - Secil Boyd keeps dreaming up new ideas from remote control flying gadgets to new table games and even space-matter theories. "My mind doesn't seem to turn off so easily," the 53-year-old inventor joked at his Holualoa art gallery.
Boyd has invented a type of three-player ping pong, he's come up with a special relativity theory and even made a remote control flying toy out of a Christmas gift from his daughter.
TriPong uses an odd-shaped table at regulation ping pong height and Plexiglas "nets" that divide the table into three wedges, each with a neutral zone and scoring zone.
He pitched the idea several months ago to a major mainland sports company and now is in negotiations for a development contract. After a presentation, their production staff built one and have played it since, Boyd said.
"By this time next year," Boyd said. "I predict this will be the hottest seller they've got."
The idea came from his father, who taught his two sons cutthroat billiards.
"With three players, you've got that extra competitive energy," he said. "It just changes the game."
Each player starts with one point and it takes three points to win, so players must team up to keep themselves in the game.
"If you win TriPong, you're better than the other two players," Boyd said. "When you lose the ability to play like a team, the winner will emerge."
Another of Boyd's creations is a remote control disk toy that he's turned into a type of hovercraft.
"My daughter brought it from the mainland and I've modified it a bit," Boyd said. "If I had seen just the specs on this, I would have said it would never fly. Watch this."
It looks like a colorful plastic hubcap with a small rotor tucked inside. Boyd set it on the ground, grabbed the remote control and sent it zipping straight up 15 feet.
With lights spinning and blinking, the hubcap hovercraft dipped and glided above the stage. After a few minutes, he landed it at his feet.
But Boyd doesn't just work with table games and toys.
His spatial relativity theory involves the String Theory, the Big Bang theory, quotes from Albert Einstein and something Boyd calls the "elemental particle." It is, he contends, the smallest possible piece of physical matter in the physical universe.
He claims that if he could break down space into these basic particles, they could be used for electricity.
Now, he just needs to prove his theory.
To demonstrate his theory, he picks up two ping pong balls glued together, and another two, locking them into a pyramid shape — the elemental particle.
"It's an equilateral tetrahedron and it's really all about shape," he said. "This isn't like the String Theory; that's philosophy," he said. "You cannot divide physical matter to infinity. You just cannot. Otherwise you don't have an assembly process."
Five elemental particles combine to form one electron, Boyd said.
Boyd is seeking investors to build a prototype spatial energy converter to test his theory, which he said could have energy, medical and military-industrial applications.
"This should be easy to disprove," he said, "But if we are correct, we've revolutionized physics and the electric grid as we know it won't be needed anymore."
Ark. man discovers 2.37-carat diamond Mon Jan 1, 6:52 AM ET
MURFREESBORO, Ark. - An Arkansas man has found a 2.37-carat white diamond at the world's only diamond-bearing site where visitors are allowed to search for and keep the gems they find.
Gary Dunlap of Jefferson named the diamond he found the Star of Thelma to honor his wife of more than 10 years. Dunlap's find was the fourth-largest diamond found in 2006 at the Crater of Diamonds State Park in Murfreesboro. In all, 486 diamonds have been found at the park this year.
Dunlap found the gem Sunday while looking near a Bois d'Arc tree on the park's 37.5-acre search field. He said he felt certain the shiny stone was a diamond when he picked it up off the ground. Dunlap has visited the park about a dozen times but this was his first diamond find.
In March, a state trooper from Nowata, Okla., unearthed the 4.21 yellow Okie Dokie Diamond. In September, a Point, Texas, couple found the 6.35-carat brown Roden Diamond. The following month, a visitor from Ripon, Wis., found the 5.47-carat yellow Sunshine Diamond.
The largest of the 25,000 diamonds found at the park since it became a state park in 1972 is the 16.37-carat Amarillo Starlight. A visitor from Texas found the white diamond in 1975.
U.S. suffers 3,000th casualty with New Year By Claudia Parsons
Sun Dec 31, 6:58 PM ET
BAGHDAD (Reuters) - U.S. troops began the New Year with news their 3,000th comrade had died since a 2003 invasion that toppled Saddam Hussein in weeks but pitched them into a war that has riven Iraq and raised increasing alarm at home.
With Saddam's hanging on Saturday polarizing the country, there is no sign that the sectarian bloodletting will slow.
The death toll milestone was reported on Sunday by the Web site, www.icasualties.org. It listed the death of Specialist Dustin Donica on December 28 together with a soldier killed by a roadside bomb in Baghdad on Saturday, bringing the total to 3,000.
December was the deadliest month for U.S. forces in the past two years, with 111 dead, according to the site. There was no immediate official confirmation of the 3,000 figure, likely to be seized on by critics of President Bush's conduct of the war.
But Bush's spokesman Scott Stanzel said the president "grieves for each one that is lost."
"He will ensure their sacrifice was not made in vain."
Bush is to unveil a new strategy on Iraq this month, which could include sending more troops to try to quell the violence in which hundreds of Iraqi civilians die every week.
Fellow Sunni Arabs at Saddam's graveside in his native village, Awja, on Sunday vowed revenge on the Americans and Iraq's Shi'ite-led government, and vented their fury at Shi'ite officials seen in an Internet video taunting him on the gallows.
"The Persians have killed him. I can't believe it. By God, we will take revenge," said one man from Mosul, referring to Iraq's new leaders ties to Persian-speaking, Shi'ite Iran.
"All we can do now is take it out against the Americans and the government," another mourner said.
Bush, who is on holiday at his Texas ranch, has been considering a range of options for Iraq, but he has rejected the idea of a timetable for withdrawing U.S. troops.
SECTARIAN PASSIONS
Tens of thousands of Iraqis have died in the almost 4-year-old war. More than 70 people were killed in car bomb attacks on Shi'ites on Saturday.
And the sectarian passions that have pushed Iraq toward civil war since Bush's forces overthrew Saddam could be further inflamed by the video posted on the Internet showing Shi'ite officials taunting him as he was about to be hanged.
The jerky Web footage, apparently shot on a mobile phone, showed people in the execution chamber chanting the name of Shi'ite cleric and militia leader Moqtada al-Sadr and Saddam smiling back, saying: "Is this what you call manhood?"
Seemingly accusing his captors of misrule, he replied to a taunt of "Go to hell" by asking: "The hell that is Iraq?"
Prime Minister Nuri al-Maliki has seen his fragile authority among fellow Shi'ites enhanced after he forced through Saddam's execution just four days after the appeal court upheld his conviction for crimes against humanity for killing Shi'ites.
Maliki urged Sunni insurgents to make peace. But many fear his death may simply prolong the cycle of violence.

Bush declares January 2 day of mourning for Ford Thu Dec 28, 5:12 PM ET
CRAWFORD, Texas (Reuters) - President Bush on Thursday declared January 2 a "National Day of Mourning" for former President Gerald Ford who died this week.
The declaration means that federal offices will be closed on Tuesday.
"I call on the American people to assemble on that day in their respective places of worship, there to pay homage to the memory of President Ford," Bush said in a proclamation.
Ford's body will be flown to Washington on Saturday and his casket will lie in state at the Capitol. A service will be held at the National Cathedral on Tuesday at which Bush will speak, White House spokesman Scott Stanzel said.
Bush will return to Washington on Monday from spending the holiday week at his ranch in Texas and with his wife, Laura, go to the Capitol to pay respects to Ford, Stanzel said.
