Yeah, page 7 will assure its validity.
I am very happy to see this news!
Definitely an error. Observe page 7 of that document, near Mr. Stadnyk's signature, and you'll see "Dated June 2, 2014"
Cheers to a strong week!
Potentially we could have been rejected, correct? And nobody has posted any news about it (yet)? Not saying that's likely or anything... 'Cause I have faith in the old Okanagan facility and am still long.... I just need more money in case we go to .05's...
The company wrote that they have acknowledged that the process can take "many months" and still be "unsuccessful" -- so we could potentially still lose on this venture?
Just saying -- do we know yet where we chalk up in these percentages?
I agree with the replies.... Don't be talkin' shit about my Mely!
Likewise, BlindJohn. I'd like us to double up so I can sell a few shares and ride the rest until next year. I'd rather not dump any, but it's tough living without residual income, haha
Nice finds! Hopefully will generate some buying pressure next week!
Got no munneh for dip!!! :(
Agreed! Plenty of RED on my end!
Loving the sarcasm :) Sit tight everybody...
Hopefully we move next week
That all sounds logical to me. I got some more at .0023. I'm not in the millions like you guys! But I have 100,000 at .0031 and another 200,000 at .0023...
(Nice name btw, UptrendGirl)
Go MELY
I got some yesterday at .0031 and I thought I was doing OK! Looks like a nice long-term opportunity here, but do you guys figure we'll venture below .002, or is this our new bottom?
Pardon my ignorance :)
Thanks and best,
GK
G'mornin' SCashis,
Looks like more OTC traders today... SL has a volume of 40,000 some odd trades. I think we'll probably stick around the .08's today.
I hear ya.
I am discouraged by the low number of buy orders and the hundreds of millions of asks at .0002...
Pulled my .0001s out today at that price...Losing on commission...but that money can do me better elsewhere, I think...
Six hours....
Lol
Maybe we'll dip down a bit until news in June, after the Greenrush conference in TO..
Yeah, I think we need some news...
I'm here alllllllllllllll day, hoping for more action!...
Got some of those .0031's. Not enough, but a small piece of the pie. Looks like y'all know what you're talking about ;) I like the idea of hopping on the bitcoin wagon.
I am wondering the same thing. Will anyone buy at .0002? If we get a PR any time in the forthcoming weeks then perhaps there will be some more interest...
People seem to think it will pump up on this MJ hype I guess.
But I am not sure of this company's integrity...so we'll see what happens!
Good luck!
Agreed. This is one of my concerns in the interim... How they'll be staffing these facilities, etc.
Stadnyk looks like he's probably grown some weed in his time, but we'll need some experts for support.
Size doesn't always matter in this field... I would venture to say that some of Tweed's quality-control issues with their harvest are related to the size of their facility. Larger facilities are much more difficult to manage than your one room grow-op.
Since Supreme is maybe 3x the size, they'll have to account for all of that. It's because our new facility is a GREENHOUSE that I am confident. They aren't trying to grow in an old Hershey factory like Tweed, so chances are they'll be dealing with fewer quality-control issues, but there is still, as you've mentioned, a question of staffing and how this place is going to be set up. If and when they do get plants in there, we'll be reaping the benefits of the SUN, and that certainly trumps growing in a factory, IMO...
Just because we're bigger, doesn't mean we'll necessarily be better. In this business smaller spaces are often times more effective, and so Supreme will have to compensate for that, I think, and get some real experts in there...
Hopefully no consolidation...
Been there, done that.
Update: Orders Accepted May 31st
May 26, 2014
Our team of Tweed growers continues to work hard to nurture, grow and harvest our next batches of medicine as quickly as we can. We expect our next collection of strains to be ready for sale by May 31, and to include all of High Lands, Buddy, Bakerstreet, Balmoral, Herringbone, Sixty Three, and Donegal. We are targeting mid-June for additional strains to be available, which should include Norfolk, Cheviot, Argyle and Bogart.
Thanks to all of our customers for their patience while we get production up to speed. Stay tuned for more frequent updates on production, details on our quality assurance procedures in place, and more of the highest quality medical marijuana available.
Here’s to future growth.
Tweed.

I think so! I'm gonna try and dump a couple duds and load up more if I can...
Wish I'd have put my bid lower for the day, but I think we'll still end the day strong. Strong end-of-week for sure!
Here you go, bgrass1, but there might be a 15-20min delay:

Grabbed a few more at .11 as a precaution for that reason!...
GO SL!
After I posted that I realized your weren't a mod. I apologize for that.
I hear you, though, and I just wanted to provide a source for my information for 'cbdpotential' because he was questioning where I got my information. I SHOULD have posted the Health Canada link, rather than the TWD link.
On that note, for CBDpotential, I just caught myself on some misinformation. Health Canada says there is "no restrictions under the new Marihuana for Medical Purposes Regulations on the daily amount that you may recommend, there is a possession cap of the lesser of 150 grams or 30 times the daily amount."
So by that I guess TWD falls short if their limit for supply is 3g per day...However, 150g ends up at just over 5oz, less than 1/3 of the allowance that a heavy user might need for a monthly supply. I'm not sure if patients can place orders beyond that? If they're giving out limits of an ounce or two a day in the States, then this is still certainly not enough for the heavy users. Hopefully Supreme can cater well to its patients, having greater allowances than 3g per day...because 90 to 150g will likely not be enough. And I can't believe I'm saying that because it sounds like an unfathomable amount of product for me...Lol...
Once again, I'm sorry for any digressions and irrelevance! I agree with you, T, on the bashers and spam over the previous weeks...
Thanks and all the best guys,
GK
I appreciate your housekeeping as well as your informative posts. I've been diligently watching this board, and so I firmly believe there are other posts here which have a larger merit for deletion, much more so than my post, especially since I was replying to another member's question.
Thanks,
GK
Someone asked why Tweed was "losing the wind behind its sail" or something of the like, then asked why Supreme was gaining momentum -- so I decided to write-up a compare and contrast between the two. People are constantly comparing the two, and expecting Supreme to gain a similar position, and so I thought it was relevant information.
1-3 gram per day limit will be for all Licensed Producers, SPRWF included, and so I thought I'd post an example of the medical document which expressed that.
Health Canada runs the show, and if we're anticipating that SPRWF will take a similar position to Tweed, then I thought I'd sum up the drawbacks of TWD that SPRWF does not have presently.
'CBDPOTENTIAL' asked me if I was incorrect in my findings, and so I posted a document from TWD which expressed the 1-3gram limit for all patients. If SPRWF was further along, I'd have posted their information, but given the initial question I thought it was useful information to see where we're inevitably headed (if all goes according to plan).
To Cbdpotential: That is what TWD has to do with SPRWF.
All best,
GK
Yeah. Health Canada has determined that is the "average" amount -- and I have examined Tweed's medical forms; General Practitioners are allowed to prescribe between 1 and 3 grams per day and I believe that patients are allowed to purchase 2 or 3 times that amount for the month... So if you were 1 oz per month, you could buy 2 or 3oz for that given month I THINK.
But yeah I hear you man... It's not nearly enough for those with authentic medical issues and with a large tolerance (especially to edibles). The program caters more so to the recreational user or the guy with tennis elbow IMO lol...And largely neglects the needs of the major patients. They'll need to work the kinks out, but I think that the largest and most successful operations will be catering to the needs of whomever in the future -- whether we're a recreational or medicinal country.
I like your name by the way. CBD is where the REAL medicine is at, IMO, with regard to anti-cancer properties...etc... (jumping back to Rick Simpson Oil ;))
I like it! As long as the phrase at the beginning of your post isn't a pun on your name 'blindjohn' ("As far as I can see") ;) -- that would be clever! Lol
I think we're in for a nice run!
Good luck to all!
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but perhaps because the IPOs shot the stock price up on hype, then we (TWD) had a poor first shipment, a poor dealing with RCMP, followed by a price dip. I think TWD is still looking good for the next couple years, but I think after the first impression people are a bit more wary (and I think that has been reflected by declining volume).
SPRWF / SL looks to be in a position for several acquisitions, several potential MMPR licenses for their facilities, and perhaps in a better LONG position than TWD given the fact that its first acquisition has produced MMJ under the old MMAR program AND is still producing because of the aforementioned Supreme Court ruling by our good buddy 'mmzar'...
Contrastingly, TWD's cannabis needed to undergo irradiation to ensure quality control, and they attempted to beef up their supply on their first shipment by purchasing cannabis produced from the old MMAR producers. It's too bad the RCMP confiscated it, because the weed was "legal" prior to April 1st, and Health Canada approved the whole dealing. Tweed was honest, took the necessary steps in notifying authorities of the trade in Kelowna, and still got burned because our judicial system is a real mess...
I can't foresee these problems with SPRWF because their first acquisition supplied quality product to the existing patients under the old MMAR program. TWD was venturing into unchartered territory with their product, but Stadnyk has chosen a wise first acquisition IMO.
Again, I could be wrong, but I'm just connecting a few dots... I'm sure there are much more complete answers out there!
Good luck to all!
In addition, there will be no way for new patients to sign on underneath the old designated growers, or to acquire their own personal production licenses. Health Canada, before they reinstated the PP licenses, threatened to notify the police if ANY growers continued cultivation under the terms of their old PP licenses, effectively threatening to jail the legitimately sick and encouraging them to funnel their money into the new LPs. This certainly is unconstitutional, and needs to be ammended...So we have the supreme court ruling to reinstate such licenses until they can figure everything out.
Expect profits over the next year for LPs providing MMJ to recreational and soft-medicinal users. I empathize for those who need a pound per month, and I hope they may continue to acquire their medicine at compassionate prices. 5 dollars per gram is NOT a compassionate price for these people.
I typed a very long and eloquent post as a reply to this, but accidentally hit "back" and it was deleted...
And so I'll have to summarize...
Your post neglects the influx of the recreational market that we, Canada, have implemented underneath the guise of the medical marijuana patient. If you do your DD and examine social media, such as Tweed's Facebook page, you'll see that a large number of new patients are between the ages of 18 and 30 years of age. The MMPR is opening up the floodgates, allowing several new people to be able to purchasing "medical" marijuana under the new system and at reasonable amounts -- 1 to 3grams/day.
These doses are nowhere near the amount that a terminally ill patient would use on a day-to-day basis. MS patients and those suffering with Parkinson's disease may require up to a pound of medicine per month to control their tremors. This equates to over $2,000 of medicine per month and is simply unsustainable, even at compassionate prices of 5 dollars per gram, and therefore highlights the massive flaw in the MMPR --- cultivation. Ergo, the personal production licenses have been reinstated because these people are able to grow their medicine at a fifth of the price, or less, and may also be able to acquire medicine for free (or very little cost) from the designated growers under the MMAR.
The MMPR, however, is allowing for several hundred thousands of Canadians to acquire licenses to consume between 1 and 3 grams per day for just about any "ailment". We are looking at a recreational market opening up underneath the overcoat of the "medical" market. In my opinion this is Canada's way of following its American brothers and yet remaining under the "medicinal" system. In doing so, they are effectively testing the industry's profitability, encouraging a competitive market between Licensed Producers, and making it very easy for Canadians to acquire signatures from General Practitioners.
While I appreciate your cautionary tale, your post neglects the thousands upon thousands of new "patients" who will be arising beneath the MMPR umbrella. As an investor, you should be seeing dollar signs, and should consider yourself lucky that you can invest in such an opportunity. Canada is dipping their feet into the world of recreational marijuana through the MMPR system.
While I agree that this system is flawed because it disadvantages the real patients who require upwards of a pound of medicine a month, as an investor I support the arise of competition and see great potential in the forthcoming years. Eventually this system will be divided into a medical market, a compassionate system similar to the MMAR with few designated growers producing dirt cheap medicine to those who NEED it and find it largely inaccessible because of their bodily ailments, and also a recreational market which supports the high prices of the Licensed Producers because of the comparably low consumption rates of such users. The aforementioned PATIENTS must be taken care of, and they must be able to acquire their medicine at cheap prices or free of charge, but the MMPR ultimately opens the floodgates for recreational users disguised as medical marijuana patients and will therefore bring some beautiful financials in the forthcoming quarterly reports. I agree with your post in the sense that the system is severely flawed because it actually hurts the old patients, but as an investor we should be seeing dollar signs when taking into account the number of NEW "patients" -- many of whom are recreational users -- and those who simply wish to use cannabis instead of taking Tylenol or Ibuprofen.
Do your DD, observe the whole industry, and consider all the angles....then... PROFIT.
I am sorry this post looks nowhere near as beautiful as my first refute....
Cheers and Happy Capitalism!
Somebody organize the iHub backyard barbecue! LOL
Amen brother! A well-written response. I am just a couple cents shy of your average...
So bring it on you shorts and bashers... I'll load up if you softies bring us down to the single digit pennies tomorrow.
What's your average cost, Joeymc77?
