A consolidation period is a time when the stock settles in a certain price range because neither the bulls or bears can push it one way or the other. During this time frame, the momentum indicators reset and it stays in this period until ultimately it breaks to the upside or the downside.
Well naked short selling is now illegal. Of course, I would assume there are still ways around it. But, if you think, somehow NITE is short millions of shares and this will lead to some sort of squeeze, then that's certainly your right to have that opinion.
During the period that it dropped on Wednesday (which was a matter of minutes), I can almost guarantee that investors were not purchasing shares because it moved way too quickly. The bottom literally fell out and I could not get my orders in fast enough. Towards the afternoon on Wednesday, yes, people (will remain nameless) attempted to buy to prop the share price up. Again today, the price was in the process of sinking, but people (again will remain nameless) kept hitting the ask to raise the price. As they did this on both days, it tempted others to get back in. This (in my opinion) is mostly why it has not sank to .03 yet. Whether this can eventually spur another run, I can't say. Maybe they did enough to stop it. At the same time, they also kept most of the overbought indicators from resetting, so any run will likely lead to a mass sell-off like we saw on Wednesday. As I said before, I've put my money where my mouth is and I still don't say it's enough to get thru the resistance in the .04s and then at .05. I guess we'll see soon enough.
Right on!
Disagree. The info in the patent is great. Whether it will lead to moving past .05, I can't say. The resistance is very very very strong. A lot of shares were let go yesterday, which means a lot of shares will have to be bought up to move forward. In my opinion, today's rally was started by those trying to prop up the price and maybe they got some who decided they weren't comfortable flipping their shares to jump back in. Maybe it tests .05 again tomorrow, but my money is on a consolidation period.
Noticed that too. The patent discusses polychromatic color a few times.
maybe if it gets closer to the 100MA.
No, I think he trades anything with a decimal in it.
chart or fundamentals?
Ignore my last message then.
Yeah, definitely not as much action as here. Most of the discussion happens in the live chat now, which is good and bad.
No, I haven't seen Orange in forever (since the move or maybe even before).
Yep, I definitely trade some. Watching a few for entry early next week.
He got hostile towards me at one point which when we had the falling out. That was probably 2006/2007. He and Klipper (Andy) were close and Klipper is still around here and SMC.
Someone people at SMC (the new site) had played it and I looked at the chart. Thought it could form the handle to the cup and is holding .003 so I took a starter.
Yeah. At some point, I think he and I had a falling out over FGFC. Why?
Ok BT, I joined you. Looking forward to see what plays you guys discuss.
Did you ever play TDCP? Was popular over at MM. It died a slow death since the huge run-up in 2006. But in the last few months has started moving the other direction. Banked some HUGE money on it yesterday and waiting to jump back in.
There's not a lot of short interest in the stock. As of 2/28/2011 (the last reporting time), the short interest was only 29,707 shares. If you look at the short interest over the last few months, it's not much -- nothing that takes more than 1 day to cover. Typically, the short interest coincides with run-ups and then the MMs cover over the next 15 day period when trading dies down and this a NORMAL occurrence. The market makers usually get behind in shares during a run-up and when volume starts to die down, they cover. So, I doubt there will be any type of short squeeze as some have been hinting at.
I watch the L2s religously and have done so for months. So here are my takes on NITE and CSTI:
As far as NITE, I don't believe they are purposely shorting the stock. NITE has typically been the ax on TDCP as they are on most stocks because they are simply the largest market maker. Just look at the monthly share reports and you will see they have dominated the trading on TDCP over the last few months (with the exception of last month when they were 2nd). So given the shorts have not continued to escalate month after month when NITE dominated the trading, I think we can surmise they are not shorting.
As far as CSTI, he usually jumps in on the ask and isn't supporting the bid. He dumps his shares and then moves, so my guess is he the diluting for someone at the moment.
pretty dead in terms of volume. purchased some shares (and yes i did tap the ask). hopefully it heats up soon.
It should consolidate between .03 and .04.
Did now. Missed that part before. Thanks.
So it's not a reverse split? That Sunny guy was all excited about a reverse split, which in my book is not good.
Yes, correct. Who are you?
How is the share reduction being done? Stock repurchase? Is there a PR announcing this? I don't see any nor any filings...
quite a few have gone thru. you probably need to refresh.
Doubt they'll post it the day after, but yes, keep an eye out for it too.
If you mean 3DIcon is slow to update, you would indeed be correct. It was frustrating over the last couple of years because you wouldn't hear a peep and I think many longs had pretty much given up. But then at the end of last year, we finally started getting a little insight into where things stood with the company and with the technology.
You'd think we would have been told about it at all. If I hadn't dug it up, nobody would have ever known. I emailed Judy too and asked whether they would were going to notify us and she never responded. So I guess they weren't. I doubt the company will issue a release on it, but I am hoping the organization hosting it will post it. I've been keeping an eye out and will continue to do so.
It'll probably consolidate between .03-.04 before making the next leg up. It needed to reset as all indicators were that it was at overbought levels. This will allow the indicators to reset, we'll form a higher base and then move up further again.
early morning sell off. support forming at .043
another 15k just went thru at .05 held over from yesterday. that's 190k held over from yesterday
TDCP Gapping Up - Closing price was .048 (up 50%) and Pre-Market showing a trade of 175k held over from yesterday at .05.

Pre-Market is showing a trade held over from yesterday at .05. So looks like we'll gap up this morning. Hopefully it will be enough to take us thru the resistance at .05.
Somewhere around there. I took over moderating the board a few weeks back and had to fix up the entire ibox (it was a mess). I have been waiting on the most recent 10K (due end of March) to update the share structure.
great close at the HOD!
print .047!
yep, we posted the historical chart a couple days ago. it is nearly identical to that run -- kind of cool.
back to .04, which is the HOD, 52 week high and 104+ week high!
.043 getting hit now
obviously i hope you're right, but please don't throw out speculation like that on this board.
ask getting slapped
