asiseeit... I find it very funny
that anyone thinks they can hide their 'secrets' these days.
If a pro 'hacker' wanted to 'identify' you, then it probably
wouldn't be very difficult.
Indeed, identity theft is the fastest growing crime in the
USofA.
Wave Systems has alot of the goodies to make life terribly
difficult for 99.9% of the hackers out there.
Bring it on....
asiseeit I understand you but
we need to do everything possible to prevent a suicide bomber
or terrorist from penetrating national security sites and
installations.
It is just an expanded version of current IDs.
A nice tidy $6 million contract
and it is clear they will be trading info with the cadets vis-a-vis the Wave/TecSec project. Hand in glove.
It won't be too long before we get several of these $6 million projects.
IMHO>>>>>
Identity theft is the fastest
growing crime in the USA, acc. to the Natl Crime Prevention Council. 7 million identity thefts occurred last year.
Wave Systems to the rescue!!!
sheesh.....
RWK i agree.
if you add it all up (West Point, TecSec and ORC), then it is clear that something is going down.
AND I THINK IT COULD BE BIG!!!!!!
thnx
Weby thanks.
TecSec plus ORC makes Wave Systems look impressive.
Schneier thinks consultant(s) are the trick. Look at his company.
i like it.
Weby Any $$$ numbers attached to
these projects?
ORC seems to have a number of these projects and i don't see $$$ for them.
Maybe they don't want to or feel a need to release this info.
thnx
go-kite it seems ORC has a
pretty good relationship with CISCO.
is that significant?
tia
So..ORC endorses Wave and
TecSec endorses Wave.
Gov't contacts from both of these companies could prove most interesting.
and lucrative.
IMHO
you're welcome. eom
oh brother...
could ya give it a rest, already?
sheesh.....
FBI Software/Computer Network Unusable????
http://www.newsmax.com/archives/ic/2005/1/13/132910.shtml
Oh brother....
Wave Systems to the rescue!
sheesh....
theberkshires..good call.
Do you know some details about ORC?
thnx
awk...here is another way
to put it.
"we don't make the TPM. We make the TPM work better."
that's good.
very very good....................
awk...i think you got him.
he is trapped.
ha ha ha ha...............
micro I was taught to say the
Public sector when referring to the govt. The public sector as opposed to the private sector....the latter being the private consumer (eg...you and me)using 'private funds' to buy goodies like mobile phones and computers and other gizmos.
So...when i refer to the Public Sector i mean the non Private Sector. The largest component of the Public Sector is the Government, of course. And....our direct market within the Government is HOMELAND SECURITY...which refers to all the natl security portions, including the DOD, CIA, NSA and everybody else in that big tent.
anyway, it is all semantics. No big deal.
the best to you too.
go-kite he is just tryin' to
spin our wheels.
he is putting on the 'i wanna learn...plz help me' act.
don't fall for it.
IMHO....
kant...i gonna check out WDPT too.
i think the DELL deal will catch alot people's attention.
But, I think we will see ALOT of business from the public sector in shapes and forms.
I gotta say that SKS is probably gonna look like a f'n genius before this is all over...IMHO
and so it goes.
Ahem. Let me clear my throat.......
as I have been very humbly saying over the last several weeks, the PUBLIC SECTOR (aka HOMELAND SECURITY) is a Huge Huge Market for Wave Systems.
Many key natl security agencies need to secure their systems and Wave Systems is most likely to participate in a fairly significant way within this process.
Let me repeat. There is no 'big brother' issue here because we are talking about socalled 'big brother'. Hence, critics can forget about bringing up that topic.
This is a pretty big big deal....IMHO
OT: Schneier believes that
people (eg security consultants), and not products, are the mechanism by which to ultimately....and i underscore ULTIMATLEY.....ensure digital (internet) security.
He heads a consulting company so, of course, he is going to promote this concept.
However, Schneier said that Wave System's paradigm is the nearest to internet(digital)security as opposed to software driven security products.
He also thinks that endpoint security is essential. Schneier said that the best way to deter a hacker is to make the exercise very difficult so as to make the 'reward' unattractive.
This is doable at the endpoint. No hacker is going to attempt to break into a TRUSTED PC that is protected by hardware simply because it is very difficult (nigh impossible) and the rewards are not worth it (a single PC!).
It is simple paradigm but very 'pure' and that is what Schneier likes.
Of course, he strongly believes that the ULTIMATE solution is to have constant relentless supervision.....preferably by Counterpane consultants.
and so it goes.
Wave Systems to the Rescue!
http://www.pewinternet.org/PPF/r/145/report_display.asp
i see the writing on the wall.
do you?
Guess we're on hold until
the next news development.
ho hum....
acc to thebershires, should be soon.
hmmm......
theBershires! Nice Job highlighting!!!!
anyone care to comment on the Intel mention?
tia
It'a all in the packaging.
sad but true.
and so it goes....
P.S. Wave Systems is gonna blow you away, bro.
OT: Steve Jobs:Today's PT Barnum!
never seen such a marketing wizard such as he!
hocus pocus...
yikes!
andreas aka AWK..u are right
but the public sector ( eg HOMELAND SECURITY) is where Wave Sys will probably score the FIRST significant contracts.
Why?
Because we don't have to worry about the "Big Brother" issue.
HOMELAND SECURITY is 'big brother'. Hence, Wave Sys is not gonna have to worry about that 'hiccup'.
Frankly, i think the 'big brother' issue on the consumer side of the picture is BOGUS anyway. Indeed, Wave Sys is attempting to secure the end user (PC consumer/endpoint)from being hacked and spied upon etc etc etc etc....
Only the CypherPunks and Company are worried about TCG/Wave Systems because it will make their lives miserable insofar as making it INCREDIBLY difficult to hack/spy/copy other people's property.
oh well...so it goes.
zen maybe it should be
trustworthy computing.
is trustable a word?
OT:unix...Wozniak was working at HWP...
while tweaking his apple. He was tweaking for years at home and in the fabled 'garage' before they even got to the stage (1973-74)that you refer to. One could say that Woz was in a perpetual startup mode for a full decade prior to the 'garage years'. They had no money and Jobs had to sell his minivan to pay for computer parts.
Really not that different from Wave Systems....just depends on how you look at it.
and so it goes.
unix...do you know how long Apple was
a startup before it hit the big time?
Care to guess?
unix...last time i checked
Wave Systems isn't an IBM project.
Or maybe you know something I don't.
ha ha ....too too funny!
trustcousa HUGE GOVT CONNECTIONS.
period.
So....isn't it funny
to have some posters (allegedly having major LONG postions in Wave Sys stock!) casting clouds of doubt on whether the company is able to pull off its strategy?
Of course, this type of behavior makes no sense. Why would an investor in Wave Sys cast doubt on the viability of the company to succeed in its marketplace, especially if the investor alleges to have invested in the company for a long period of time?
This makes no sense.
The abovementioned investor cites frustration in management and missteps in execution.
But, what startup company hasn't made mistakes in its efforts to make it to the 'mainstream'?
I have suggested to posters who own Wave Sys. shares and who experience doubt and frustration to SELL THEIR SHARES. But, they either say "No." or they will not answer my queries as to why they would not sell their positions.
Hence, we cannot take these posters seriously.
It is a curious dynamic that we find posters such as these on this board. What exactly is their agenda? They profess indignation and frustration and distress.....but they do nothing to address their situation. They could sell their Wave Sys. stake and yet refuse to do so. How inconsistent! How irrational!
And yet, these posters continue to state that Wave Sys. has betrayed or misled its shareholders.
Let me ask you....
If you were an owner of Wave System stock and you felt that the company misled or betrayed or abused your trust, then would you retain your stock in the company?
most rational people would say NO. They would sell their stake in the company.
But here.....this isn't the case. We have posters here who say they are shareholders of Wave Sys and who think the company has betrayed or misled or abused their trust. And yet, they refuse to sell their shares in the company.
What does this tell you? Well, it tells me that these posters are either irrational or not telling us the entire story.
When i ask these poster(s) why they don't sell their shares....they either refuse to answer or they say the stock could still pay off in a BIG WAY.
and so it goes....
Bottomline: these esrtwhile disgruntled and frustrated "shareholders" cannot be taken seriously.
jaybeaux...What if
TecSec has agreed to merge with Wave Systems???????
HOLY SHI#T!!!!!!!!!
just thinking out loud!
BUT...OH MY GGGAAAAAWWWWWWWWWDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDD.
jaybeaux....No because TecSec and Wave
Systems have just inked a $2 billion contract with
a GORILLA!
just kidding....
Hey! but who knows?
stranger things have happened!!!!!!!!
twinkie...no, i just feel sorry
for them
that's all.
Has everyone seen this?
http://www.opusss.com/tecsec.htm
related to SCADA and so on.....
OK...TecSec & Wave Sys. entering the Utility Industry???????
this just gets better and better
I think it's time for me to...............
remind everyone that the West Point study is NSA sponsored and financed.
the NSA is the kingpin when it comes to this business.
if the NSA gives the green light, then all the intelligence/defense agencies give it the green light.
so.....
digitaldancer
nothing offensive. I just feel sorry for you.
good luck to you & goodbye.
digitaldancer OK you said your piece.
Now you have a choice. Sell or hold on. It is unfair to the rest of us to hear your state of mind.....over and over again.
You have stated your position. Now....make up your mind and be done with it.
Think about it. The more you complain, yet retain your shares.......the less credible your position becomes.
In the game of investing, you evaluate and then make an investment decision. No one forces one to make the choice. Clearly, you evaluated and made a choice.
You either hold them or fold them.
But please don't make the rest of us suffer because of a choice you made that you now regret.
that is unfair.
thank you
digitaldancer so why don't you sell
your shares?
if you are keeping your shares, then there must be a reason.
what is your reason for holidng your shares?
this is a fair question given your stance/disposition.
I thank you in advance for providing your rationale.
