Zynga $ZNGA files paperwork in Nevada to start the process to become licensed in the state to enter real money gambling markets. Though the process could take up to 20 months, the move shows the company intends to be right in the thick of the online gambling space as a regulatory framework works itself out. ZNGA .
Netflix $NFLX ended up giving back a meaningful chunk of its recent Icahn-fueled gains today. One possible culprit is an Albert Fried note warning Netflix faces a "murder of ravens" (i.e. a bunch of small events that collectively have a big impact) in the form of new competition from Coinstar, TiVo, America Movil, Time Warner and Dish Network. Also, The Telegraph reported over the weekend Netflix, which has $5B in "known" content liabilities, plans to expand its original content investments.
The he-said-she-said posturing over the fiscal cliff continued over the weekend, with Republicans and Democrats saying that the other will be to blame if the economy falls over the edge, which they both said it might do. Jim Kessler of The Third Way think tank says that while "this thing could fall apart...there's still a few more days where we should expect this kind of rhetoric before they start to coalesce around a deal."

AMD $AMD is planning to launch a solid-state drive (SSD) line based on its Radeon GPU brand, SemiAccurate reports. While AMD would have the brand power and OEM/channel relationships needed to make a dent, it would also be entering a very competitive market featuring many players (SanDisk, Samsung, Micron, Intel, Toshiba) who can source NAND flash memory at cost. But this might be a good time for the struggling chipmaker to try expanding into a growth market.
A warning from Yum Brands $YUM on earnings growth in China for Q4 could spill over to taint other global restaurants chains. As the fast-food leader in China, Yum's track is closely watched to see where the growth engine may stall out. On watch: $BKW , $WEN , $MCD , $SBUX , $DNKN .
Research in Motion $RIMM soars premarket on a Goldman upgrade to Buy with price target of $16 (from $9). "For the first time in 3 years, we think out-year Street estimates are too low." [
