LM105 referral in this patent has some very DEEP thought put in.
Stay tune.
Don't forget, these test materials might come from Materion.
Please note CIP was closed on 03/2016
This was granted to Apple today:

Testing BMG samples for this patent
Sample 1 : Vit 106a
Sample 2: Vit 1b
Sample 4: Vit 1
While LM105 was used as an example reference, it was not part of the testing sample.
Both Vit 1 and 1b contains Beryllium. It is a real life NO NO.
What's left is 106 which can be from Materion also.
Multi source is never bad in Apple's point of view.
LiquidMetal name however is not part of MTA since 106 is not part of CIP.
Successful Lawsuit will SET PRECEDENCE.

Silica Glass as a mold for BMG. Another interesting concept. Thx for sharing.
With recent advancement of silica glass surface treatment via laser etc., cell phone shell with glass coated body has infinite possibility for various texture for "look and feel".
With that being said, (silica) glass is (silica) glass. It is fragile. One has to put a protective case for practical daily usage.
In "strong glass" world, it is not obvious Corning's advancement towards strong and agile can allow "post formed" surface treatment.
Same thing can be said about "metallic glass". "post formed" surface treatment is brutally expensive. Lugee has a hard time replicating glossy and strong mid frame.
Surface coating (reverse of CNC) was an after thought to provide the similar effect. Apple has patent for that and that patent drove LQMT stock to 44c back in 2017. Thanks to JP and JB.
It is COO job for all whales (Apple and Asus are only part of many) to get “multi source” for all technology before they will attempt to adopt.
BMG will be no different (if it is successful)
Look for completion (Prometaltech.....etc) to join the RFQ.
One thing common. If LiquidMetal is to be the name used, pony up.
Who is paying the bill for current branding lawsuit?
Just to destroy JK who will say
“I am BADDDD.......but I am broke....”
Can LQMT not pay the legal bill then?
So what will LQMT get for spending the $$$$$ ?
It is called SET PRECEDENTS (for brand protection) and that’s priceless.
Apple tree is never DRIED as some try to portrait
I believe it will be sapphire coated all around. Just like VIVO Apex.
It will be Liquidmetal inside
“Tongue and groove” is the IDEAL way to mate two different materials. In this case, glass and metal.
IP65 is a requirement and sealant is the wrong way to address not so perfect matching tongue and mating groove.
Of course, BMG can produce ultra high precision (ME ONLY).
Jonny Ive went for curve edge in iPhone 6. It made it impossible to manufacture for injection molding due to draft angle limitation.
Now we are back to iPhone 4 style straight edge. It clearly is a DFM compromise. Jonny bye bye made it an easy call for Tim “now can” Cook.
Tongue and Groove. This is what iPhone 6 supposed to be.
Check out Anax note on “perfect couple”.
PLA addendum(s)
Should each clause be independent stand alone or should they be all combined,
In particular, let's examine the following addendums
1. CE product is excluded for documented IPs.
2. Geographic exclusivity for sales penetration.
3. Future development exception.
e.g.
A family restaurant that serves liquor.
Rule:
1. No under age is allowed for liquor consumption
2. All patron must obey gender identification when using bathroom
Question:
Is underage patron allow to use the bathroom and does the gender restriction still apply?
Can Mary who is under age today but not under age tomorrow be forever banned from liquor?
Legal is like baseball with no play clock.
Legal is like baseball with pitching change likely.
Blowout win means Lugee squatting a cockroach with a base ball bat.
Not seeing that reasoning.
Not for JK
Here's the Apple patent on BMG coating
http://www.freepatentsonline.com/y2017/0088954.html
Note this is 100% Apple with no CIP linkage.
It was filed on 09/2016 (CIP cookie jar closed on 02/2016)
Thanks to JP and JB. That was the cause of last of the LQMT biannual Apple Pump back in 2017

Since LQMT cannot challenge Apple on this BMG coating patent, one would think they cannot challenge Kang's BMG coating patent either.
Kang knew that but he went too far to leverage LiquidMetal Mark generically (while he only owns on coating application).
This is not a simple lawsuit once fruit company can be dragged in.
Question for legal expert here.
How does one differentiate a fusion plate that is formed by overmolding vs coating?
Block sales has been gap filled
http://pdf.dfcfw.com/pdf/H2_AN201909171361782697_1.pdf
What “IFFFFF” Kang approached fruit company for coating business?
It meant to show the author nationality
I have my doubt that this (non asian foreign) author has "direct" quote from Asus.
Clearly I hope I am wrong.
https://root-nation.com/en/author/ladoscai/
There is no doubt in my or anybody's mind that Asus has adopted BMG. That in itself is a GREAT thing.
Please reference to this quote
I have not seen a single whisper or media coverage of Eontec/Yihao linkage to ASUS
Nothing I have seen to date.
Have you?
LQMT vs Kang
As of to date, I have not seen a single whisper or media coverage of Eontec/Yihao linkage to ASUS.
ASUS ia Taiwanese company, I am not surprised they have very limited media coverage in China.
Jaybiscuit did quote LQMT stated Yihao is working with ASUS. Perhaps he can share more detail.
That's the extent we know.
1. Asus is spending serious PR effort on Liquid Metal.
2. Both Asus and Yihao did utilize LiquidMetal bouncing ball video in open public.
3. Netiher Yihao nor Asus is part of LQMT lawsuit on brandname infringement.
It is possible that ASUS have multi sourcing on their BMG purchasing.
Since Yihao was capacity bound and struggling to ramp up from 25 to 45 to 65 to 90 machines in 12 months. Yahao probably view Xiaomi and Huawei to be more valuable customer than ASUS.
Another possibility is that ASUS simply works on licensing deal with Eon for in house manufacturing. Under that scenario, it is not clear how LQMT can get "credit" for that piece of licensing revenue.
Again, there is no "leaked" media anywhere on ASUS. Someone can ask LQMT again on this topic.
Both Yihao and Asus have used LiquidMetal (English) trademark and infamous bouncing ball video in open public presentation
LQMT is not going after them.
Friend or Foe
Answer is clear
LQMT response on Alloy Clarification. This will be the last time I addressed this topic.
Translated term "subsidiary" came from exact chinese word "child company".
Per US definition, that would correspond to definition of "subsidiary"
"Subsidiary" is defined as at least majority ownership per US definition.
Lugee Li via LiquidMetal HK Ltd does have "plurality" but not "majority" ownership of LQMT.
LQMT is part of Lugee Li Maze. If subsidiary offends someone, be it..
I for one prefer to be part of the Maze (and be labeled subsidiary) and be "light out" in Motel 6 with Steipp.
Where are we going with all these?
Rat Hole........
BTW, the term "child company" came within the QUESTION (Eontec only provide answer).
So much for SEC.......... LOL
Eontec answer explicitly mentioned 5G terminal (another word for cell tower/ base station)
5G terminal has nothing to do with CE.
So much for Apple.........LOL
However, in 5G land, there is the concept of micro cell and pico cell aside from typical 4G Macro cell.
Micro cell and Pico cell will be dense populated while Macro cell continue to be sparsely populated.
Dense population means HIGH VOLUME.
Good Night!!!
Eontec Q&A
Question:
Hello. Does company major shareholder acquired US LiquidMetal company still have partnership with Apple company?
Answer:
Hello! Thank you for your attention to the company. US LiquidMetal company and Apple is a very good partner. Thank you!

Question:
YiHao metal and Huawei R&D center to develop precise, thin-walled, high-strength "liquid metal folding pieces", and applied the latest Huawei 5G flexible screen phone, it is true? Just answer true are not true. Thank you
Answer:
Hello! Thank you for your attention to the company. Company and Huawei has been good cooperation, the company also has research and development and production of liquid metal hinges. Thank you!
http://guba.eastmoney.com/news,300328,874458254.html
it is actively engaged with the world's top customers to conduct product exploration in 5G terminals area
Lugee Li (Hong Kong'er) owns 100% of LiquidMetal HK Ltd which owns 45% of US LQMT.
US LQMT is only one of many entities underneath Liquidmetal HK Ltd.
This is no different than Lugee LI (Hong Kong'er) owns 99% of Eon Industry which now owns 22% of China Eontec
China Eontec is only one of many entities underneath Eon industry.
In spirit, that’s “good enough” for me to use the word “subsidiary”
We can all begin to pick on Chinese language translated via Indian/Russian run US Google.
I am sure Investopedia will have a different definition of “subsidiary” when compared to a US google translated version.
BTW, Elon Musk happens to run Tesla Shanghai
Confused......no need to
Does it matter.....no need to
Eontec Q&A
Question:
Can you briefly introduce the business development of your company's subsidiary LiquidMetal Company in 5g new material area?
Answer:
Hello! Thank you for your attention to the company.
US LiquidMetal Company is a subsidiary of LiquidMetal Co., Ltd. controlled by Mr. Lugee Li.
According to our understanding, it is actively engaged with the world's top customers to conduct product exploration in 5G terminals area. Thank you!
This will require ISO-10993 certification of LM106c

BB (until further notice).
Why does color matter on cell phone I always wonder?
Doesn’t the (necessity of) cover ultimately becomes the color of the end product?
Somehow it never stopped the madness of color.
Would BMG eliminate 1 trillion dollars cell phone cover market?
If 106c is truly a joint entity between LQMT and Yihao (not Eon), then following can happen.
1. LQMT choose to call it LM106-C for their own (western) market. LM106-C is not bound to MTA.
2. Eon can care less about the formula name, they just call it Liquidmetal (in chinese) within their (eastern) market.
Yes, Toyota Japan and Lexus/Toyota US share the identical technology.
This scenario means Eon and LQMT will simply OBEY the geographic rule within the PLA. CE exclusion within PLA does not have to comply with section 5.1/2 exclusion. Exclusion entities in contract can be mutually exclusive from each other.
CE exclusion will simply block Apple from any access to Eon's technology (mostly the machines and Synthetic Zirconium......things that Materion/Engel failed to produce for high volume market).
Naturally, Lugee (as CEO of LQMT) will welcome Apple (but with leverage).
Yes, LQMT needs to earn their keep by SELLING into their own market (includes Apple).
This is called WIN WIN.
It means one of two things
1. We have lost the medical market (at least until trade war is over)
2. Ongoing qualification work has completed on LM106-C and looks promising. We are simply waiting on agency (not FDA) approval.
LM106-C also obsolete the name DC-106C
To me, this is a significant.
Difference is that there are only 65 out of 90 machines "targeted" for Eon.
YiHao is the CM that feeds both Eon and LQMT
