Hey kid, I look at it this way. You are young, you learn from your mistakes. This is a good risk to take in my opinion. I worked and still do at age 60, wish I had taken chances with stocks earlier. Just know when to take a profit, and don't ever fall in love with a stock. If this goes to 1.20s, wherever it stalls after that, I am out for at least a while.
And don't forget, when the market corrects, 90% of stocks go down. Take a time out and start all over 12-18 months into a correction when no one else wants to touch a stock. Good luck.
Are you mocking what he owns? $10,000 could be a fortune to some. Well, at least I hope it turns into a fortune got their sake (all right, for my sake)
Fear not you will be able to add more at that price soon!
Hey ero, not like it's the Harvard Law Review.
99% of what is said here is rehash or reassurance, you are one of the 1%.
I am far more of a user here than a contributor, so I greatly appreciate the many here who are far more knowledgeable than me.
Reality is, at some point, in the absence of new info, it all becomes old.
Just remember this. Punit is not in this for us, we are a necessary evil to allow him to pursue his honorable dream.
The hostility and immaturity some showed whenever contrarian views were presented (reverse split, dilution, etc) destroys the real value of intelligent discourse which is to sharpen our ability to evaluate all perspectives and glean the best, sometimes from those from whom you expect the least. Look forward to your refreshing and thought provoking insights Eros.
Until we get PII results, partnership prospects and PPS will languish. No big pharma is going to make a move until those results are positive. The data may differentiate ONCS from the hundreds of other small developmental stage players to extent that big pharma can justify making a move. Politically they cannot justify anything before that happens. Heads would roll if they partnered and data would come back neutral or negative.
Still we remain in a very good spot based on interim data, so it is a waiting game, hopefully not for very long.
Point of clarification: I took some off the board but not at .90s or high 80s... Or high 70s! :>(
No doubt an ASCO hangover combined with the dilution. I took a third of my position off the board after it failed to break and hold above .90. Still, more news awaits us this summer, so March on we must. At this point though nothing seems to be popping.
Up15% in Europe today. Just the beginning...
Hey strik, thanks for the tip on this stock. Mine is POETF, best place to check them out is on Agoracom. How about the next generation integrates chip 10x current speed, 1/8 the energy requirement. Think Intel at start up stage. But deals are already being negotiated for production.
Get ready , change is coming.
Hey strik, good to see you here, I'll keep an eye on it. ONCS is setting up nicely, got another one I am excited about, will post to the nvgn board Mon AM for you to take a look at. Don't like to promo other stocks here, nvgn has less traffic, anyone welcome to check it out. First I have to grab a bunch of shares, but there will plenty of room and a little time for others to jump on if interested.
Get big or get lost! They know what their systemic results mean and want to strike while the iron is hot. Expect new trials to be announced soon. They are running with the big boys now, and many instances they are in the lead.
No need for me to watch this, need some R&R and the way to do that is to stop watching for a while. Catch you all next week.
Probably the same institution that shorted millions of shares over the past few weeks! Just my conspiracy brain at work.
Let's see if we get any other announcements today and tomorrow, makes sense to follow this with some good news, new trials are a certainty.
Don't know if Dhillon's symposium tomorrow will shed any light on their planned business model, but they do have several roads to consider. Licensing model is fine as long as you have the best mousetrap, likely some Pharma are going thru their own version of the 5 stages of grieving before partnering.
Lots of pressure on those without immunes in their pipeline to get something and fast. This will get interesting, the first deal they ink will not only set the standard but may start a run of partnerships. Don't know that anyone big wants to "own" the delivery systems as that is out of their element for these bureaucratic giants. We are sitting in a very nice position I believe. The intensity of the PPS games is an indicator of where this is anticipated to go. If this was just another sub dollar pink sheeter, no one would give a rat's azz.
Punit is certainly telegraphing partnership(s) with his quote of the African proverb, 'if you want to go fast go alone, if you want to go far, go together." The systemic impact shown in the melanoma data must be rocking the ca treatment world, less toxins, greater uptake, systemic results much greater likelihood of success. I think many studies are going to be re-designed around this model and guess who is in the middle of it...
Only question now is what will the monetization model look like?
Thanks for the clarification, i would have thought Punit meets with investors and Pierce with the Boston group.
Wednesday's conference should be interesting as the discussion moves from the science ( though that will be a big part) to the business, the potential, the partnerships. This is where Punit could really provide some clues regarding partnership(s), new/expanded studies, in other words more meat for investors to digest. It was this time last year that Dr. Kim did exactly that, announcing the epic year for Inovio, and the share price began its run shortly thereafter and well before partnership with Roche was announced.
No rush jumping jackass. Been around since the 20s, it's all good and getting better every day. That is all that matters to me.
Nothing but manipulation, strangling off the rally at the end of the day. Pressure will keep building. Would not surprise me to see more news this week. When it clears a dollar, funds will lap this up fast.
I added another chunk today, took a long time to fill above ask, had to chase. Must be some big orders In queue. So when do the shorts start getting calls from their brokers today 10:45 ?
Roth IRA, please note this, not a standard IRA. My bad !
If you are eligible to open an IRA and have not, I strongly recommend considering doling so. Paying tax on your investment now (technically, funded with post tax dollars) and you will never pay a penny on that money and it's gains again. And you can always withdraw your principal without penalty. A $5000 investment now could be worth $50,000 or more in a few years, maybe less. Believe me it can be done. Looking forward to this week and beyond. If the shorts are able to bend this downward, I will add more. The potential value is so much greater than the risk given what is already known.
Well he's just an excitable boy
Hey tigger, you never answered my question, drunk and stupid only gets you so far.
Crazy times for sure! I think we do get a bump to a dollar in the next few weeks, question is , does some institutional buying start when it gets over a dollar, and what does that do to the PPS?
Also, good data being presented in contrast to PVCT setback may lever this a little bit higher than previously anticipated. Successful melanoma data with systemic response is going to be an eye opener for many. But this thing is tied down so tight it will be interesting to see what the reaction is.
By the way how's that UDHI sub penny stock of yours treating you? I guess ONCS is too rich for your blood, with UDHI you can tell the ladies you own a million shares of a dental company and that Yugo you are driving is a rare European sedan.
Ok TigVT, I'll bite. If partnership is already priced in, you must have done a forensic spreadsheet that indicates precisely what a partnership will yield in cents per share, along with the value of the 3 phase II studies, along with assets and liabilities, to arrive at a PPS of 75 cents. So bring it, tell us how much partnership is worth and tell us what method you used to arrive at this valuation. I suspect it was a similar process to that which is used to clean up after a sit down session in the bathroom.
Always nice to see an insider buying, especially now. Enjoy your weekend.
Not sure who you are referring to, I bought some today as well at 2.07. Holding the most ONCS by far, then POETF ( Canadian chip designer), a INUV ( undervalued internet ad company), then INO. Hoping ONCS pops first, and hope to trade if it overshoots and buy back, use some cash to feed my others.
INO and ONCS are symbiotic with ONCS being the safest IMHO, but these two could well be the beasts of biotech for the next few decades. Looking forward to June.
Suffer the fools who look to create havoc and doubt, they look to gain by lies and treachery. We seek to profit on technologies that promise to save and extend lives.
To any veterans who may come by, my profound gratitude and hopes that our government and politicians who are so willing to place you in harm's way see fit to provide you with the care and appreciation the American people feel you have earned.
Boy, this reverse has taken the wind out of the sails of lots of small investors, but what an opportunity to reload. It's doing exactly what the big boys want, chasing out the little guys. If the HPV data is good, that $8 per share will quickly become $25 and this will be the darling of the industry. If it blows out, down to $4 but, given the pipeline, a time to buy and look at 5 years down the line.
Data, partnerships, reverse split, probably, dilution depends on the cash the partners bring in. Still, given the progress and the likelihood of approvals, it makes for a compelling company to own for the next decade.
Also if Inovio stays at these levels (closed at $2 even today) it will remain an outright steal. Even if their HPV fails, I would double down on the drop and just tuck it away for future reference.
The reverse spilt is designed for two things 1) drive the small investors out and 2) stabilize price movement and increase the PPS for the big boys to take control. So far it is working exactly that way.
Swap your shares for ONCS on a Tuesday. Their melanoma data is outstanding, and the world will know at ASCO on June 2. Read the abstract . Bring you right back up.
Good question. Depends also when the RS occurs. If the RS occurs in next few weeks, we could see some buying by them prior to end of quarter. Whatever we see before results would be a fraction of what would occur after (favorable) results. I'm holding a half of what I consider a full position, partly because I am spread thin among several "popcorn" stocks right now. Would "fill" my position if results are positive, as I suspect even a 50% move would still make it incredibly cheap. Just hoping some other things pop first so I can have cash at the ready when needed.
Whether it moves down or not, this will be the end of the decline as certainty is now restored. If it falls due to this I will find the cash to buy more, as institutional investment will now soar.
I do think we see a 4 for 1 split as soon as they can and a move to $10-$12 ($2.50-$3 pre RS) immediately. Good phase II data jumps us to $20 then, and it will still be a steal at that PPS .
They can't afford to wait to do the RS, only because, if by chance Phase II data hits a snag, doing the RS after looks desperate and hurts cred.
Your name suits you so well. Nobody is panicking here,if anything we are buying. This news will break no later than June 2, and we will go up from there. In the meantime I am loving the neglect, added another big chunk. Don't know why you waste your time dissing, is it because you can't afford 75 cent shares? You can't be short, nobody is that stupid . Then again...
Yeah, one of the great things about sub $1 stocks, you can fly below the radar and get a leg up on other investors. This should be a sure double near term and perhaps a lot more from there.
Been adding so many shares today my fingers are sore! Nice to be de-risked without the market paying any heed.
