AK. That is so funny! Matt's going to get you! LOL
Susie, I couldn't get it either. Hit refresh, it may work for you then.
Oh Man...you're in rare from today! ROF
STOP....I'm hurting! LOL
ROFL....good one, Churak!
P.S. Strange to see Watkins Vanilla Extract mentioned. My grandfather sold Watkins Products on a part-time basis.
He looks like some cartoon character! lol
Missy...you're going to have to help me nag him...I'll recruit a few others too.
Heheheheheheh...poor Larry!
Now Larry...you shouldn't have described yourself as from now on you are going to be nagged unmercifully until you send a photo in. Prepare yourself! I want to see if you still have that thick hair. I noticed Merle didn't. BTW, tell me you don't have mutton chops like he does....I don't like it at all.
I wouldn't touch that last line with a ten-foot pole! LOL
Ah Larry, I appreciate that. I think I will too. But I hate new stuff especially when it comes to this computer. Sometimes I rue the day I ever got it as I think it changed me into a temperamental, whining, griping, bitchy, complaining, mean person with a nasty dispostition.
Gimme another drink! LOL
I may call the University tomorrow as I'm really curious as to who it was...I'll let you know if I find out anything.
I don't know how old Merle is but they showed some photos of him when he was very young...BLACK hair and lots of it. A real hunk!
Thanks, Larry.
Nope...don't ask me what happened but after two days of problems including at least EIGHT crashes, all of a sudden everything is working like a charm.
I am getting DSL next month ....just watch, I'll be bitchin' and moanin' all over iHub...for a few days anyway until I get used to it. LOL
Larry...Our local college has a TV info channel.. this morning when we turned it on we heard about half of Red River Valley sung in Czech! I don't have any idea who it was...can you find it????
Also, saw the Little Munchkin (Merle H.) on TV last night...looks like he has a new band and there was no Bonnie in sight.
And finally...the Mavericks....best band ever (trumpets!).
Phil...that sounds like work! I like Susie's idea better. Actually, I have a friend who has a bread machine...she sends me a loaf quite frequently.....it is delicious.
I'm more interested in your three meat stew. Would love your recipe for that.
Well I'll be darned, Phil...do you realize how few people know that real chili doesn't have beans! Tell you a little secret...it's a no-no to put tomatoes in chili around here too...especially at the chili cook-offs.
My DB and I have gone round and round for years about that. I LIKE tomatoes in my chili....we compromise now by alternating whenever I make it ...tomatoes every other time. (He's native born Texican...I'm not).
I use the same spices you do, BTW except for the garlic powder. I have garlic growing in one of my flower beds...try the fresh sometime, if you like the true flavor of garlic, that is and don't plan to do any fooling around with Mrs Phil later. She may throw you out! LOL
LOL.. About time someone showed up here! Don't want no bloody mary no more...gimmee a cuba libre.
.love your choice..Friends in Low Places...hahahaha!
Hi Carolyn...figures. That's exactly what's driven me to my computer.
Dare I say it? (whisper....I don't like football) LOL
Helllllloooooooooo........nobody home???
Okay...where's the bartender?????
Groan ;) now I know i need a bloody mary!
Hey...is there a bartender on duty now. I'D LIKE a bloody mary with my lunch.
P.S. FYI, we won the last I heard ven though the South Dakotans tried to steal him back in the dead of night.
Ie holo e!
LOL
Bite your tongue! That's like telling a Democrat to go to a Republican convention!
You never heard of the big brouhaha between the Dakots over Sitting Bull's remains? Where he should be buried? We almost had a war over that issue
Wait a minute, Troy. Weren't we supposed to get a norther today?
It's already hot here. Sheesh!
This is kinda phun! I may not ever edit again but then I'll have to get a manicure...about 1/4 of my typos are due to my long fingernails.
I don't thinkie I have a Texas drawl; I talk too fast. I can't win...when I go anywhere over the Mason-Dixon Line people automatically ask what part of the Soth I come from. If I go to N.D. among my relatives they think I'm pretentious with my southern accent even though I only lived there 17 years and in Texas over 25 years.
Here my old friends are used to my accent and fast speec but when I meet any newbies the first question they ask is where are you from...you sure do talk funny! LOL
Troy, I think I'll try that for a day at least and see what happens. I usually trype the way I talk therefore I rarely punctuate my sentences at first...not until I've p[roofread my posts.
Well there you have it ...no corrections.
Watcha thinky?
(what the hell is trype) lol
And I ain't even drinking!
I'm reading this a little late, AK.
Dang, you ARE quick! And GOOD! ROFL
You're right, Ak it takes awhile but well worth it...I must get DSL soon.
Exactly!
He was a gutsy one...this all happened in broad daylight just outside the Pro Shop.
Nine hours? We've never had an outage near that long here. I hope you had lots of candles.
I was curious about the utility as I've been thinking of investing in a couple.
Did you have any damage from the storm...flooding or anything like that?
Larry...sorry to hear about your storm. I've been through many of them where I live.
May I ask who your public utility is? How long was your power outage?
Good luck with the clean-up. ;)
Rollingrock...If you have read any of the posts, you can see there aren't too many recipes...yet. Perhaps we can help you learn more about food but first we'll have to do something about your taste buds.
Burned toast??? Yuck ;)
Or if he would have said it happened on our property, our homeowners' policy would have covered the theft.
Interestingly, we were contacted by the Victims Service Org. after he was caught... they are trying to make him pay restitution.
I'm ok now Phil...I'd been having some probs the last couple of days ...not with iHub specifically but with other features like Yahoo IM. Miraculously everything is in working order now.
Man, my computer didn't like something I wrote. I just crashed and now it's sluggish.
Is it me or the site????
Some of us are talking about "recipes" here....

LOL
I agree...hiring somebody else is the way to go on big jobs. I told MDB the same thing just a few days ago and surprisingly enough he agreed with me....this is on replacing the carpet in living, dining and bedrooms. The thought of moving everything including the beds just overwhelmed me...the main reason I had put the job off.
I know it will cost more but peace of mind is worth it.
The biggest problem is finding somebody to "take charge." We don't have many choices where I live.
BTW, the painter I was talking about earlier (a college grad) quit his 9 to 5 desk job that he hated and went into business for himself. Loves it and has no regrets.
OMG....that's me in the middle...before I went on a diet. I wasn't supposed to be in that picture!
(I see T. Roosevelt on the wall. Is this from the Theodore Roosevelt National Park site?)
I had to hunt for an article I read this morning about remodeling homes. The big thing in the cities around here is suburbanites moving into the inner city area....buying little ol' houses from prox 700 to 1,900 square feet, then spending from $100,000 to $300,000 to remodel.
According to the experts though...remodeling is the way to go instead of a new home and in most cases one almost always gets their money back when they sell.
Keep that in mind...it might help relieve any frustration you encounter when you do your bathroom. LOL
I gotta read that thread. Sounds hilarious.
"Texas Bunkhouse Rustic"....I thought that was "in" this year along with 100 hundred-year-old weathered barn wood.
