olddog, presently I am enjoying my IMDS holdings and wishing for the best with HRCT.
Tin - I agree, the Q&A was handled professionally. However, to balance your optimism, IMO, not much ' new ' information was provided. As for my question, HRCT had predicted that we would know by the end of 2002 the direction it was headed now, we hear that their policy is only to announce completed deals. This policy change sounds rather convenient to me. Well, I am still here and will be until the captain leaves the bridge. Lets hope for the best!
My condolences on the loss of your father.
Markets are closed today.
As for HRCT, you have missed nothing.
TFN - Well stated!
" Everyone has the right to believe and accept what he or she wants, but reality doesn't discriminate. Reality is not different for different people. Not once has reality excused anyone for good intentions ignorance or stubbornness. Reality shows no mercy, accepts no excuses, and issues no pardons. Reality does not ' turn the other cheek.' This does not mean that reality is cruel, it just means that reality is." Gary Ryan Blair (Mind Munchies : A Delicious Assortment of Brain Snacks!)
andi - you have posted dozens upon dozens of China related articles which you believe may have some relevancy for HRCT. Unfortunately, in all of that literature, HRCT has never been named. It is rather difficult to overlook the possible significance of this fact. Seeing HRCT mentioned, as a viable entity, in just one of these business articles would be encouraging to this LONG shareholder.
OT: IMDS truly running; up over 35%. eom
OT: IMDS getting a nice pop today. Not sure why, but it has been moving for a few days now.
I don't, for a minute, believe that you are that slow on the uptake!
" if " it all comes together. Yes, HRCT LONGS are made of steel and sometimes just as dense! lol
If nothing else, HRCT LONGS have become accustomed to " tough "
days, weeks, months, years......
January Q&A ~~~ Talk to Hrct..
Will send 1/17/03 or at 25 Questions
1. With all the China Stocks doing so well, will Hrct have a PR program to go with the new acquisition so we can get some exposure?
2. How is the Hartcourt TV plan going?..We've heard about Bloomberg now entering the mix..Will that affect Hrct's plans in any way?
3. Is an E-Education announcement still planned for Q1?
4. When all is said and done, will the Sinobull companies, AI Asia and Hartcourt Capital be one integrated group?..Or will they be in different fields and directions?..
5. Is there any possibility that Hrct could find itself on another exchange in the year 2003?...That is if all goes according to plan..
6. Is there a "projected" timeframe for the next shareholder
spinoff ? Can you provide details ?
7. HRCT website continues to be dated....and....needs to be
updated. ETLK is still showing as a 'portfolio company' !
For any new investor doing research, quite a poor impression.
8. What is the status of our working relationship/partnership with UT Starcom ? They seem to be VERY progressive. Are any of the Hartcourt subsidiaries benefiting from this relationship? If so, how ?
9. Complete the sentence....Hartcourt, The company that will revolutionize the way the chinese...do what?......
10. Any news on the Sinobull/GTCIE merger? Is it safe to expect it not to happen?
11. Are you still sure, that we will reach the break even point the 1. quarter 2003? If not, when will we probably see some gains in the balance sheet?
12. Is the poster on I-HUB, that uses the name "Haijek", in some way affiliated to Hartcourt? He hints about having information ahead of the news release.
13. After WTO, what are your main competitive edges against the new comers?
14. What do you see as main reasons for the recent run-ups of NTES, SOHU, SINA, ASIA, UTSI... Can HRCT move up on similar reasons?
15. Just thought I'd point out that the last carrot has shriveled up and fell off the line. Could you please replace it as soon as possible? Thanks in advance!
16. In a previous Q&A, it was implied that shareholders would know the direction HRCT was taking by the end of 2002. This did not happen. Once again HRCT has failed to deliver. With such a disappointing performance record, what is being done to regain shareholder confidence? B/T/W, selectively responding to these Q&As is not a legitimate way!
17. Is the " deal " HRCT made reference to last year still pending or is it no longer a possibility? If not, why?

Andi - Tin started a ' new ' January Q&A on 1/14/03 ( Post # 17754 ). There was a previous January Q&A which I cannot seem to find HRCT responses to.
OK, I admit that I am confused! The last question I posted was on the ' first ' January Q&A ( See post # 17085 )listed. So I guess that my question should have been, " Has HRCT ever responded to the last January Q&A?" Maybe this new Q&A should be called February Q&A???
Was the December Q&A ever responded to by HRCT? I might have missed it. TIA
Article: Balanced Read On China's Outlook
http://biz.yahoo.com/bizwk/030116/nf200301161109_1.html
OT: The end of my daily astrology forecast states; " The celestial configuration indicates a day full of surprises and adventure, not to mention great news." Still holding and hoping!
OT: Who will be contacting Mr. Andrew Jackson Whittaker, Jr. about the possibility of investing in a small, but ambitious, China based company? After reading his profile, I doubt that he would be interested in anything but pork bellies!
OT: THE RUMOR IS FALSE!
I was NOT the winner of the $315 million power ball lottery so will need to continue to hold off retirement until my HRCT/ETLK ship(s) come in!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS IMAN, EZ, Tin, wwwilly, etc.
OT: Well, IMAN is finally up and posting. I guess it's nearly time for the " Early Bird " special for all those retirees out there in AZ! LOL
Time for this worker bee to start evening hours. Cya
OT: MBR, do you honestly think that he didn't tape the SERIES himself? lol
I'm seriously thinking about picking up 100 shares of ETLK myself. Those ' buyers ' the last few days must know something!
OT: IMAN wishes for a rerun of the baseball season so his ' upstart ' D-BACKS can get another chance to prove their Championship wasn't a fluke! lol
OT: operator, I'm a size 44 Long with a 34" waist. Prefer the darker shades ( i.e black ). TIA
OT: Lunch With The President
George Bush and Dick Cheney are enjoying a
celebration lunch at a fancy Washington restaurant.
Their waitress approaches their table to take their
order; she is young and very attractive. She asks
Cheney what he wants, and he replies, "I'll have the
heart-healthy salad." Very good, sir," she replies,
and turning to Bush she asks, "And what do you want,
Mr.
President?" Bush answers, "How about a quickie?
Taken aback, the waitress slaps him and says, "I'm
shocked and disappointed in you!!!!!
I thought you were bringing in a new administration
that was committed to high principles and morality.
I'm sorry I voted for you."
With that, the waitress departed in a huff. Cheney
leans over to Bush, and says, Mr. President, I
believe that's pronounced quiche...
OT: wwwilly, I am confused, was the whipping for pleasure or a punishment?
Tin - You asked, " Why would you want them to issue PR's this time of the year?.." Really, man, is that a legitimate question? You know as well as anybody that they indicated we would have information by the end of THIS year. Just one more unfulfilled promise. I know, just sit back and wait. Well, I am prepared to do that, but lets not play dumb!
January Q&A~~~~What's on your mind!..Aloha
1. The 5 million newly issued shares paid to consultants. Is this the severance pay that was talked about earlier? Can we assume these folks are no longer employed by Hartcourt? If not, besides the attorney (lol!), what thoughts and opinions from these people could possibly warrant a bonus $300,000.00+ pay out?
2.In a previous Q&A, it was implied that shareholders would know the direction HRCT was taking by the end of 2002. Since it appears that this time frame is no longer realistic when can we expect the revelation?
OT: solon13 - I hope that Miami has learned from the last two games and maintains focus for the entire game! If not, they may not escape Ohio State's hunger.
Would be great if it's a prelude to some SIGNIFICANT NEWS!
Am I seeing the correct volume, nearly 1/4 mil in less than an hour?
No, just half the whole hole!
mmayr- Lets just hope that the whole wasn't sealed after the Titanic was already on the bottom!
OT: Yes, it sure does! :)
I find it interesting that only one of my two questions was answered. The fact that my question ( Q&A #5 )
was omitted leads me to believe that HRCT will once again miss a stated deadline. Oh, well, there's always 2003!
OT: I heard rumor that people are getting ' high ' and then clicking on the IHUB HRCT board for the Holiday light show. Hey, whatever works to attract new investors!
OT: EZ - Rule of thumb #1: When CALY goes under a dime, it's buying time! :)
Hey, what's going on around here? You people sleeping? Wake up!
It's time for HRCT to Rock & Roll!!! Looking for a BIG market day. Congratulations to all the MIAMI HURRICANES fans for an outstanding season. Ohio State, don't even bother to show up...go to Hawaii.
OT: Found this story appropriate for Thanksgiving Weekend.

OT: And then there was one ( to go )....
No. 1 Miami Pounds Syracuse
For 33rd Consecutive Victory
By JOHN KEKIS
The Associated Press
SYRACUSE, N.Y. (Nov. 30) -- Miami played like the No. 1 team right from the start against Syracuse. Just one more victory, and the Hurricanes will defend their national title in the Fiesta Bowl.
Ken Dorsey threw for two touchdowns and Willis McGahee scored on runs of 61 and 51 yards as the Hurricanes won 49-7 Saturday to extend their winning streak to 33 games, the best in Division I-A.
Barring an upset by Virginia Tech in Miami next week, the 'Canes (11-0, 6-0 Big East) will finish No. 1 in the Bowl Championship Series standings, setting up a showdown against No. 2 Ohio State (13-0) for the national title in Tempe, Ariz., on Jan. 3.
The Orangemen (4-8, 2-5), who finished with their first losing season since 1986, came in as 20-point underdogs, and they were no match for Miami, which had won the previous two meetings by a combined score of 85-0.
