And now we have a prime contractor arrangement and a partnership with EWA...there is ONLY ONE REASON to have a prime contractor...lol
500,000,000 divided by 10 is 50,000,000 shares- about right for a NASDAQ company with a sp of $5.00. RS has NO affect on successful companies with growing revenue....anyone who says otherwise is TOTALLY misinformed.
I think you waste your time worrying about RS. Can't happen until we have a SP of at least $0.50 and a steady stream of revenue.
Gran, yes, you are correct... the exact word used in PR is 'completed' (not successful). If completed, than I assume this is the final demo.
DOD has already taken delivery of Aerial Products Aerostats (per their Web site) so it is a known product. I have no idea what we have added that makes us unique. Can't answer this.
would you buy it without seeing it? The sponsor has to sign off on it before money is released for a procurement. This is not to say it won't be delayed...lol
Rattle, EPA is an open procurement (many bidders) and it would never be referred in a 10Q.
OK, maybe, but there is no one on this board with more DOD contracting experience than me...WSGI knows exactly when they will get a contract...they work closely with the sponsors on non-competitive procurements.
yes, waste of time for DOD and our potential prime!
Warp, I think we will see a PO from our Prime before end of year (delivery this year). The aerostat contract is a non-competitive procurement and we announced today in PR we successfully completed demo prior to contract...imo
regarding your stocking stuffer...I can't find any indication anything will be announced for a long time...what am I missing?
The EPA is a wide-open procurement. It's not lawful to have any direct discussions before award (except maybe for clarification of response to RFQ)....therefore it would never be mentioned in a 10Q
The EPA RFQ is based on a RFI or RFP from somewhere (they survey marketplace before issuing a RFQ). I know for a fact WSGI responded to US ARMY RFI that included specifications very similar to Argus MTS and Aerostats (BIB). The EPA RFQ is very close to MTS Hybrid (with electric engines). Just speculating that EPA got some of their specifications from our response to the US Army RFI. Who knows?
My guess the Aerial Products facility
Rattle, I believe the original US Army RFP Dec. 22, is important. My guess EPA is involved.

US Army Issues RFI for Smart Aerostat to support Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance in Afghanistan
Posted on December 22, 2011 by The Editor
The Rapid Equipping Force (REF) has a requirement to purchase Unmanned Aircraft System to support Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (ISR) Shortfalls in the environmentally inhospitable operating environment of Afghanistan.
This requirement includes a requirement for operators and Field Service Representatives (FSRs) to provide FSR support and new equipment training. The UAS shall provide for remote, safe, persistent Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance. The airship must stay on station even in less favorable environmental conditions that would ground UAS of comparable size, features, or classification.
The platform shall have a capability for Vertical Take Off and Landing (VTOL). The platform shall be a lighter than air (LTA) platform that is easily deployable in either a mobile or tethered state. The Airship shall remain functional while flying even in non-ideal conditions. The Airship must fly in winds up to but not less than 25 knot winds. The system shall be deployable utilizing no more than two Soldiers. The Airship shall have an active onboard systems (“smart aerostat”) its fins will continue to use their movable surfaces to stabilize and trim the UAS, safety systems will prevent fly always in the event that the tether line was cut.
Still no award for EPA Aerial System....maybe they were waiting for DOD aerostat testing? Note: it's unusual from my experience that award is delayed after closing of RFQ
Indy, Yes, all good news! Maybe our competitive advantages are:
> payload integration, sat comm
> Helium re-cycle
> other?
Mide, I think we will get a Purchase Order shortly from our Prime Contractor. It may not be a very profitable contract in that it appears we are reselling the Aerial Systems product with our upgrade(?). It's a good start imo. Does Aerial Systems have a patent pending?
Indy, how does BIB differ from Aerial System product?
Mad, Indyblue, sorry to interrupt, but I thought it was interesting that our Market Cap was $31MM on date of report...this is prior to patent pendings I believe.

Indyblue, thanks for posting this info. The question is why hasn't GTC posted any tracking revenue to date? My guess is that it will all change with the final launch of GSAT satellites and a fully functional simplex sat network. Let's hope for a successful launch.
I'm still hopeful that the Arrowhead Fair Market SP Value today is $0.70 per share!
Warp, no doubt GSAT is a risk investment. Personally, I don't think the French Gov't will let GSAT fail after investing about $600 million. I like the upside potential of the FAA ATC and the FCC WI-FI proposal and of course they are our partner. I'm bullish but don't have much invested to date.
Warp, Mad, totally disagree. GSAT Satellites scheduled to launch in Feb. 2103, hired FAA ATC Sales Team- billion dollar opportunity; FCC Voice/WI-FI network proposed- billion dollar opportunity; many many ground stations proposed; CEO may be willing to help fund next round; etc.
GLOBALSTAR TAKES DELIVERY OF FINAL BATCH OF SECOND-GENERATION SATELLITES FOR FEBRUARY LAUNCH
Covington, LA. , December 10 2012- Globalstar, Inc. (NASDAQ:GSAT) today announced that all six satellites scheduled for launch in early February are now at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan. Following the successful completion of their pre-shipment review at Thales’s manufacturing facility in Rome, the final two satellites arrived at the launch complex on December 9th
GLOBALSTAR ANNOUNCES RESULTS FOR THIRD QUARTER 2012
Reports fourth consecutive quarter of positive Adjusted EBITDA; $6.6 million improvement compared to the third quarter of 2011
Initiates fourth launch campaign with launch scheduled in February 2013
Successfully uploaded software patch to second-generation satellite as satellite begins preliminary service - all other previously launched second-generation satellites in service
Signed agreement with Thales Alenia Space ("Thales") for the purchase of six additional second-generation satellites
Filed Petition for Rulemaking with the Federal Communications Commission ("FCC") on November 13th
Mide, I received a prompt reply from GTC-USA, but no details..."still working hard to make things happen as quickly as possible....2013 is a good year for all of us!"
My guess, appliques and revenue are tied to new ground stations. Funding won't happen until after launch of final GSAT Satellites. There must be a demonstrated Return on Investment in order to get funders excited to pony up $3-$5 million build out cost for each ground station. As always....time will tell.
I've asked GTC-USA about revenues and potential obstacles. When I hear back I'll post.
Mide, I agree. The applique's are for tracking (as I understand) and I'm surprised we haven't seen any revenue to date. Why not ask GTC?...this is certainly a question shock holders deserve an answer.
Nil, hopefully, Command Post Technologies, Inc (CPT), our prime contractor partner has received word about EPA contract. If so, we should receive a PO shortly for a Argus Hybrid 'Aerial System' from CPT.
Low Cost Energy Producing Fabric...
Stanford Engineers Invent All-Carbon Solar Cell
http://www.uasvision.com/2012/12/13/stanford-engineers-invent-all-carbon-solar-cell/?utm_source=Newsletter&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=b62994ca52-RSS_EMAIL_CAMPAIGN
In a major first, researchers at Stanford University have built a prototype of an all-carbon solar cell, including carbon nanotubes.
Carbon nanotubes are being used for some amazing things, like the basis of a wearable energy-harvesting fabric, and reinforcing carbon fiber composite to make it seaworthy for duty as a boat construction material.
Why carbon? Because it’s a lot cheaper than silicon, and it’s also abundant and highly conductive.
Carbon has the potential to produce high performance for its low cost, said Stanford Professor of Chemical Engineering, and the study’s senior author, Zhenan Bao, in a university news article. “Carbon nanotubes have extraordinary electrical conductivity and light-absorption properties.”
A SkySat competitor (fmr. customer of mine along with sanswire, I wonder if they use taco shells?):
Composite Airship Can Transport Troops & Cargo
From troop deployments and military surveillance to mobilizing disaster relief efforts, a new hybrid airship prototype holds promise as an innovative mode of aerial transport. When deployed, the 500-foot-long Aeroscraft airship will provide increased capacity to move massive loads into remote areas, including fragile terrains, says Mansoor Kouchak, vice president of engineering for manufacturer Aeros Aeronautical Systems Corp. in Montebello, Calif. The vessel’s carbon composite and aluminum shell is central to the airship’s expansive payload capabilities as it provides structural strength for the craft, which has an anticipated range of 3,100 nautical miles and an estimated airspeed of 110 knots.

This could have huge impact for GTC....

The percentage will be enough to give a ROI to funders!! or it doesn't happen....capitalism at it's best.
mad, GSAT needs $200 million plus to build ground stations. If this happen maybe we will find funding for a number of ground stations at $5Million each. it all depends on a successful launch of last sats in Feb 2013.
As I mentioned, ground stations are needed to support growth in smart phones, cell, new Air Traffic Control (sat based) etc. Please READ GSAT PR. for info on ground stations and WIFI
Moosh, GSAT (per our PR or 10Q) may help us raise funding for our ground stations from their funder (COFACE). Communication traffic thru ground station is a huge revenue stream. Think of all the cell traffic revenue in India/ Africa or Air Traffic Control traffic revenue around the world.
Ground stations provide a 2,000 mile radius terrestrial communications to satellites. GSAT has a very good power point (last qtr. PR) on future of sat/cell/WI FI phone traffic.
GSAT is looking to raise $200 million plus to build ground stations.
Eastcor did tracking devices for the CIA (attached to cars). They probably do the design/manufacturing of GTC tracking devices (?). The new building was reported to be for the manufacturing of satellite dishes (?). Eastcor would make for a good acquisition...imo.
Sami, I think the fact that we in a 'quiet period' something is up. Eastcor with their CIA connections might be involved?
I doubt GTC would want to be libel for the many pages of DOD T&C's (open books, huge liabilities, etc., etc.)- this is why we just did a joint venture with primes. Also, we have no experience in logistics and training. Most all companies partner in DOD contracts (I worked for Fortune 50 company- they would never expose themselves to DOD work as a prime...we partnered on everything as a sub contractor)
like most all sophisticated aircraft, the software system controls flight.
The prime contractor may or may not be listed (not mandatory). We are not able to be the prime contractor.
