...and the ARGUS will be spin-off company...IMO
Thanks. Exciting times...$400M blanket PO and on-going ARGUS develop!
Good time to load up...JMO
The company posted ARGUS revenue in 2014!
be_real, IMO Market Cap is based a good deal on 'future' potential revenue....but this of course takes a concerted marketing effort. This is why the stratellite is such a great concept that attracted 21,000 shareholders to Sanswire/ WSGI...a great marketing concept!
Trunk, I disagree, ALL of our products are BRAND NEW to an EMERGING MARKET. We are leading edge with no competition....this is why I'm involved.
Sami, yes there is a great deal of potential upside movement in the sp with some further commitments from DOD. IMO, market cap should be about $60M now ($0.10 per share)and with some larger contracts (and maybe a GLC ground station agreement soon)market cap could easily reach $300M ($0.50 per share over time). Long term huge potential.
I'm still waiting to hear what's up with 'airships'. I'm hoping for the founding of a dedicated new company with our partners. Maybe an IPO company? Still believe that the STRATELLITE is where the HUGE RETURN is!
sami, GREAT DD!
LTA Web site looking good!
http://www.ltascorp.com/
Air, the company could turn around in a second with an announcement of a large contract, significant funding and the founding of a new airship company to tackle airship opportunities.
Weegie, our current profitability is at 30%
run rate (and growing)with est. revenue of $4-$5M (2013). This puts us very close to being profitable. The company has stated they expect to be profitable in 2014.
Run, we must nearly be profitable by now with on-going revenue! A good place to be finally.
Bear, never attended a shareholder meeting. The fact is that TAO claims they have reached 63,000 feet with a stratellite. The promotor who kept Sanswire alive back in 2008-2010- motto ..."stratandback2010"...."people will be lined up at our door with check books open"....the stratellite is a big deal!
TAO is the designer of the segmented airship. We bought limited rights to the design for stock.
TAO is a large shareholder of WSGI and of course associated with the leading Aerospace University in the world. I hope we have a close working relationship as we did years ago
Indy, Do you have any insight on the new propulsion technology from TAO? They mention a battery system and I assume PV.
Are we in contract with TAO for possible technology transfer?
2013-08-20: Today the newly invented and built prototyp of the TAO SkyDragon Serie E for high altitude application was tested. The flight test with a new propulsion system für high altitude was very successfull. The summer break is over!
The stratellite opens up a multi-billion dollar market for persistent ISR and IP communications- as I said eight years ago, revolutionary, game changing technology.
Gran, No, we traded WSGI stock to TAO for rights to produce. Hopefully, TAO will license this new technology to WSGI. Our new Airship "off the books" entity maybe just got very exciting!
Congratulations TAO!....this should shake up the DOD and Communications industry!
Indy, Nice Post, Thanks.
Sami,
It seems to me that the WASP is a much larger envelop than a BIB- trailer mounted rather than 'BOX' configured. And I don't see any reason for a fast launch BIB capability. Communications has a much longer set up time than a small self contained ISR system.
Sami,
To me, the BIB is ISR. The WASP is cummunications....two different missions. The WASP needs a higher payload profile for comm gear.
rattle, thanks for the DD
rattle, yes, guess I was confused...sorry
rattle, it is our training partner who is hiring a BIB Trainer. Note: there is no follow on contract yet for WASP- so no need for trainers.
Yes, highly unlikely our partner would hire a BIB 250 Trainer without being confident a contract was coming!
Insighter, agree with everything you said. Also, keep in mind that the airship side of the house (ARGUS, Stratelite)has potentially an even bigger ROI than LTAS...but it will be 2014 before any visibility.
The IPO Market is RED HOT...imagine an airship company that had some contract revenue in 2014 and an exciting forward looking marketing strategy that included stratelites...just saying...might be huge
Scarlet, yes, there is no better place for exposure than WSJ. It's just a matter of time before the share price catches up with all the good news and potential.
Still no word on 'Airships'...surprised no denial about my speculation that a new company may be formed. WSGI will have it's hands full with aerostats- a dedicated new company with funding will be much better to tackle the airship market.
Wall Street Journal- good press
http://online.wsj.com/article/PR-CO-20131003-907158.html
agreed...and it's another potential revenue stream to the BIB
Note- communications not ISR
It will be interesting to learn soon how Glenn intends handle the airship side of the business and the move to Ohio. I'm hoping they set a new company with the 'team members' that includes funding for a real company with sales and engineering. Exciting times!
Mad, I wouldn't waste my time on a company if I didn't trust management. You are way off base here. Ideally, a COB would be great but many companies combine CEO and COB.
weegie...I would say we are very close to some good news!
Yes, not a good working relationship long term:
> legal issues (always disagreements)
> no long term participation in company value with sales
A simple arrangement is start a new company, issues shares to collaborators and raise investment banker funding...a win/win for everyone.
NASA provided AEROS a $52M grant to develop a 1/3 working demonstrator cargo airship. Aeros secured FAA approval for flight.
A similar grant is needed for the development of the stratellite- that in IMHO has much more value for comm/ISR.
A dedicated airship company makes a lot of sense IMO. The airship development is very expensive. An Argus cost approx $3M and a stratellite was once projected to cost $25M.
A new company with our collaborators would be a much better way to compensate/ reward team members for efforts. WSGI might provide technology and team members initial operating funding. Investment banking might be available to fund development.
Interesting concept- a win/win for everyone!
Nil, yes but it's very odd that airships are no longer part of WSGI product line. Something is up, I'm hoping for a spin off that will fully fund Argus and Stratellite.
