There is no Cruyff in the lineup Sunday, and this Dutch team’s style is somewhat less expansive that the Total style, where every man on the team could pop up at any position he chose.
See? That's not accurate.
We "total" guys do believe in giving players freedom to move, as befits the action. But we also emphasize rotation.
In other words, a back can dribble all the way front, if the defense sags poorly.
BUT, a midfielder then should rotate back. And so on, such that a forward could be rotated all the way back--then shortly all could be rotated back to "normal."
The Spanish style is based on the Dutch system of “total football,” developed at the Amsterdam club Ajax, where Cruyff learned the game. It requires every player on the field to be a playmaker, as a dribbler or passer, depending on what the situation requires.
Not sure of the pedigree, but you can find several versions of "total football." As a one-off, this sounds most like the system I taught.
Which is, if we have the ball? Everybody's on offense.
If they have the ball, everybody's on defense.
Further, no matter which "position" you start at, your real position equates to your job wherever you happen to be on the field.
It's all based on triangles, and no square passes, and no 50-50 balls--or what I call "maybe balls."
I based my build-up on Brazilian-style "samba," but broke with Brazil once past mid-field: upon entering the final third, the first player with the ball who can see the far post? HIT IT!
Make the opposing keeper WORK. As long as you don't blow the ball over the goal, nothing bad can happen--but all kinds of good can result.
sumpin' to see, right?
quite the story
I'm going with OT's post about the phone call, for now.
Finally going to bed, hoping to wake back up for the World Cup final.
could be--the big deal in futbol is to not allow a goal. After that, score at will
I suppose you can call the office, at your convenience.
“We forgive and forget,” Radebe said. “You’ve got to live in the world and you want to do it in peace. Mandela said we had to tolerate each other. Somebody has to give in so we can make our way forward. Sport has the power to unite people and change individuals.”
why read when you know everything?

lol, me, too--a lil
Thought I was having an old-timer moment.
oh, yeah, gotchya
lol, do what??
works for me
It *does* kinda seem like somebody is letting this slapdash MFer spin yarn into rope...for his own hanging.
Exactly--creditors can get themselves jammed right up in the mix, and there's not much the filer can do about it...
I wouldn't have AT&T for internet ("dry loop"), but Charter is such a horrible company that I dropped them.
As an example of how horrible they are, they left the signal on for a month or two after I quit paying them--and then sent bills for the "added time."
long shot, but oh so worth it. Doesn't cost much, right.
ya, hilarious. Wonder what the penalty is for forgery on a federal BK document?
I dunno--good idea to see what he says.
Maybe the ploy is: "Look, this is what a legit guy would do."
More baloney.
GM & Chrysler BKs were unbelievably quick--but look at the arsenal of talent & firepower involved.
I have MetroPCS, unlimitted talk n text advertised @ $40/mo., but with 411 & fees it comes to $47. It's OK but has "issues."
Am thinking of going with StraightTalk (WalMart) with the 1,000-minute plan for $30.
Terrific match.
Man, I love World Cup: you just can't equal the action anywhere else, I don't care which league it is.
World Cup is one things that always ends too soon for me.
Sure, good stab.
Ch. 11 *also* gets creditors right up in the middle of your Jello, in effect giving them a voice in your business operations.
And it requires accurate accounting: there's *still* a trustee.
Bottom line: it would be a tough sell to the BK court, given the principal's history...
But if it goes forward (ya, *if*), wouldn't it require full disclosure? Accurate, full disclosure?
what's the voluntary bk filing about?
I'm late to the party...are we talking about some method whereby the principals under indictment will be able to be in charge of the SPNG bk? Which would entail an accurate accounting?
If so, how could that happen now, at this late date--given they've not previously been able to do so?
that's funny.
esoteric to the "real world," but dam funny
Not to put too fine a point on it, but the company (charter) is not in question, but rather the registration of the stock.
sorry...carry on.
Look at the current top sticky...
I can think of one, ie, I remember it happening--but can't even remember the ticker.
Get used to it, if you're gonna follow stuff like this.
Apparently these legal-o-paths count on people reasoning just as you do in that post. No slam on you, just an observation about ______pathic behavior.
Too close for *me* to call. Ned unbeaten so far, but then, Spain apparently can call on another gear: they looked comical against Paraguay, then looked pro against Germany.
Will say this, it's sometimes tough to not "play down" to a lesser team's level, that is, a team with fewer skills.
I'm looking for a good, hard-fought match.
