Anybody seen this ?
"To date Sanswire/Globetel has a $50 million deal with the Columbian government to launch five of the airships over the Latin American nation."
I wonder why Colombian government wants to survailance their country. Could it be the Coca plants...he he...or maybe gorilla units there or perhaps kidnappings going on there. Perfect vehicle to do this cheap.
Showmebill having separate websites is the reason why society is confused to ownership of Sanswire. In my opinion Globetel website is very poorly designed navigation wise and graphic wise as well. Sanswire is old and outdated.
What would be smart to do is to make one kick-a$$ website with flash animation and combining both sites into one. On front page it should have all 5 business units and link to their info. That way everyone would know that Sanswire is part of Globetel and Globetel is more then just VoIP company as most think of it now. SIMPLE. I don't understand why management would not understand simple idea like that but hey maybe Rocky can pass that on. I am IT professional and I did designed websites in that past and one think that website needs to accomplish is to draw and inform anyone from get go and ours does not. That is my opinion on it.
cabvinyard you need to read those 3 post to have full story on AS increase. Otherwise you are just fooling yourself.
AS increase was ment for employee compenstation. Well read what wonderfull COO is doing with that stock he got before. It will be never ending circle if WE SHAREHOLDERS KEEP APPROVING AUTHORIZED SHARES INCREASE. You guys have two options keep your head in the sand and don't care or read and vote NO next time.

rdwud. It has been confirmed that Iowa films and Daystartech are two companies that GTE is testing their PVs with. Daystartech is twice better product to inferior Iowa films. If those are the only two companies PVs that are tested then trust me that Daystartech will be the product used on S2 and commercial strat as well. Iowa films product is inferior to Daystars and that is a fact. Look at the product specs and compare.

I see. Hmmm...kinda foolish to trade like that but hey it's not my money. We had same type of trading going on yestrday and we wer -8% this afternoon and now is +8%. That is 16% differance. Also those block were very small 300 500 blocks. Have a good weekend.
I don't understand why would anyone buy afterhours at high prices when they could have bought during regurlar hours for .35 cent less.

alminde very good point. Thanks for pointing this out. It is a good move on part of GTE and ours as shareholders but SNWR people got little screwed. I'm glad I bought GTE instead of SNWR.....LOL.
13.3 million of GTE shares saved to be used for another purpose perhaps acquiring another company or payments.
That is why in my opinion Molen is not on Board of directors and so is Koenig the original inventor out of the picture. Since NASA people redesigned the whole ship Koenig design got scrapped. They got paid regardless good money in shares but got short end of the stick. Hey that's how to contracts go. They signed it. No one to blame but themselves.
Molen will be ok since he will be compensated by share in future as well. Koenig got paid 4 million bucks if he sold now which I doubt he will.
WISH SOMEONE WOULD SUMMARIZE SHM IN LIKE ONE PAGE OR TWO PAGE PARAGRAPH.
Glow_beatle thanks i will check them out. It's weird that when strat unvailing was shown people had ton to say and ton of pics to post but at SHM nothing major. I should have gone but I did not think based on the topic they've said they would cover it would be worth the trip. Next one I will be going to because by that time something exciting should be brewing up UNLESS MORE DELAYS OCCURS. FREAKING DELAYS. A year delay is a major glitch. Why not come out and say strat will be ready by 2008 instead of misleading (using it lightly) investors. AAAAhhh...well we shall see.
I did but most posted on sherrif bashing. Would you be able to provide some post numbers ? Thanks.
Fack another delay. President said August/September and CEO said end of 2005. Now we are looking at Q1 for Demo strat. I hope they don't just show that inside the hangar again cause i will pop a vain. In Q1 commercial launch was suppose to occur. By 2007 300 strats were suppost to be floating. I wish Huff would not give time frames if he is not going to keep them. We went from April launch to next year April launch now. Damnnnnn. Very disapointed !!! although i love the business plan stated in last share holder letter. That's a negative. What's the possitive out of that meeting ? Seems on neihter of boards no one has anything to say.
Holding long and strong.
Damn. No post on the meeting. Must not have been that much exciting. And i agree that Motley is a Fool's article and only Fools read it. They bashed my other postion and they are wrong. They stepped on my toes too much. I checked back on their prior Golden Gems pics and some are as much as 50% down. Loosers.

When accounting for technical support and amortization and depreciation, there was a resulting negative gross margin.
Operationally, the Company reports that:
The projected run rate now is approximately $75 million;
There is significant progress in its revamping the organization and operations;
The additional space in its Florida headquarters will be ready in October 2005;
Its subsidiary, Sanswire Networks, LLC, has moved to its new facility in Palmdale, California.
Timothy Huff, CEO of GlobeTel, stated, "We continue to be excited about the future of the Company. The losses we incurred were expected as we grew our business. We expect our losses to diminish and reach profitability by the end of the year as we now operate out of our new facilities and as we launch our other products. As I previously stated, the Company is stronger than it has ever been. This will be truly exciting times for GlobeTel and our shareholders."

multivalue i forgot to add that i am not sure how big or rather small line of sight will be between strat and plane since strats are higher but not high enoght for planes to cover them during their flight. Sats would serve better for that purpose i would think. IMO.
I agree with what you wrote however I couldn't get shares at 5cents like they could have unless you got in a year ago or so. I dislike idea of issuing shares like toilet paper and awarding yourself shares at 5 cents at any point and then selling them at high price with triple the shares you originally had due to preffered to common conversion AT THE SHAREHOLDERS EXPENSE.
What I was talking about was AS increase and then executives will AGAIN get shares at 5 or 1 cent price. That's a sh1ty deal to all shareholders not that you get those shares but then they dump it into float and dilution occurs at my expense therefore causing me loses.
Like I said I would not have a problem with that if management would increase the value of our investments but so far this stock has been shorted to the ground and GTE institutional holder have been dumping 2+ million shares onto the float.
Also I do believe this company over time will succeed I just don't like the way they are issuing shares like toilet paper.
Some or most you may not agree but that is how I see it.
justfrank the wife….A ? I'm sure they share their incomes so her gain is his gain. LOL. Nice turnover. Buy restricted at .05 convert to common after a year or two and sell at stock's high. Then buy preferred again and circle goes on and on. I wonder at whose expense he is doing it. Shareholders ? ..you bet your a$$.
Those 50 mils of authorized shares increase will be towards employee (Sigel) compensations per proxy. He already bought it back and bet ya he will sell again and buy it back again after WE THE SHAREHOLDERS APPROVE AUTHORIZED SHARES INCREASE.
NICE DEAL. I WOULD LIKE TO DO THAT AS WELL...LOL.
That is why I am against AS increase. Shareholders get screwed at the end. I have no problem with this when management would bring return on investment for shareholders. So far I am in red so I vote NO. GTE now has institutional investors and bankers like Taboda to fund them. Also their recent 41% partners they joined with.
I am and will be dedicated shareholder for a while but that does not mean I will not express my opinions on actions.
Justfrank and guys appreciate comments.
Technology wise: Yes but the question is if FAA would allow planes to receive radio frequencies. We all know FAA is freaked out about cell phones being turned on the planes so who knows. By the way it is not possible for cell phone to interfere with planes equipment. They just don't want to disturb passengers. Every frequency is reserved for specific usage. Cell phones for example are 850, 950, 1900 MHz radio frequency. I am sure every piece of equipment on the plane operates on different frequency otherwise FAA would not approve it for the plane knowingly that cell phones fly with passengers.
Anybody knows why COO was selling shares in January 2005 ?

I would add to that that it would be awesome if someone would take some pics of the meeting including switch technology that GTE is going to demonstrate.
"Actually - you are allowed to buy and sell on the same day - you are just not allowed to trade again with the same funds for 3 days."
....unless you have margin account and then you can borrow money from brokeage for 3 days.
Kevinaok in my opinion it has to do with shorts covering thier short positions few days earlier then they had to to avoid short squeeze which happens anyway

msturgeo & gatheringo. Thanks. Wish some from shareholders would ask at the shareholder's meeting if there is a current supplier ? That we can find out for sure. Who it is might be under non-disclosure but we could also ask who it is.
We need one for high altitude flight which is going to take place this month or by end of 2005.
Rocky will do what he wants to do on this board.
Based on recent developments we can not deny or confirm Kestrell as being out however one would conclude that.
I think due to military involvment perhaps it's part of non-disclosure agreement to not to disclose this type of info.
To me it looks like Kestrell is out of the picture.
I know Iowa film is out of the picture as film supplier. Daystar is in the place of iowa film. That i know and i will say to you guys i told you so later, unless something will change that i will not be aware of. No one listens to me on this board anyway so I am a reader now, not a poster.
I couldn't find what you posted on that website but if it is so then that means that GTE is going to have to choose if it has not done so already another propulsion system. Perhaps NASA has suggested another system.
ANY OF YOU GTE SHAREHOLDERS GOING TO SHAREHOLDERS MEETING PLEASE INQUIRE WHAT'S THE DEAL WITH HIGH ALTITUDE PROPULSION SYTEM. Who is our current supplier ?
I hear you. 3mils in float and 4mils outstanding is extremely low therefore the jump, however that is some food industry so you are right it's not a comparison to paradigm changing technology in telecommunications that is going to change lives of every human being on this planet. It will only take 5 billion market cap which is average market cap for big boys to reach my goals. It's very achievable goal if successful. SIRI has that market cap with no where close of the potential of Strats. So yes I am counting on it and much more otherwise why bother. Might as well buy myself a house instead play this game. JMHO or maybe i'm insane...lol. Good night bro.
That is some sick graph bro !!
Sweet. I wish and hope GTE goes that fast and high up on commercial strat launch

I got this from another board but think it is relevant as Huff mentioned this in the shareholder letter. I mentioned this before I think you must do (2). IN WRITING

Subject: Re: Margin Question (KMM27864922I20)
Dear xxxxxxxxx
Thank you for contacting us today regarding loaning stocks for short sales.
Clients who have a debit balance in their margin accounts may have their stocks loaned to Ameritrade as broker or to others. If you wish to not have your securities loaned out , you will need to either:
1) Reduce your debit balance to zero by liquidating securities or depositing funds to pay the debit amount.
Or
2) Elect to have all securities in your account exempt from short sell loans. Your request will apply to all positions in your account; requests cannot be made for specific securities only. If you prefer this choice, send a written request stating that you do not want your securities loaned for short sell transactions. We can only take this request in writing, not via phone. Mail the written request to:
Ameritrade Clearing
Attn: Security Lending
1005 North Ameritrade Place
Bellevue, NE 68005
Please be sure that your request is received 10 business days prior to the ex-dividend date to ensure your shares are not loaned on the ex-dividend date. Please keep in mind that your request will apply to all positions in your account; requests cannot be made for specific securities only.
If you have further concerns or inquiries, please reply to this message.

ROCKY QUESTION FOR YOU HERE PLEASE
http://www.investorshub.com/boards/read_msg.asp?message_id=7237783
President of GTE said August/September launch. CEO said end of the year. August/September is end of the year so we will see what develops.
CEO shareholders letter said it will be Sanwire 2 with new material so it should be significatly bigger then S1.
I am interested in what plans GTE has for high altitude propulsion systems. It has not been addressed yet after Kastrell took off GTE/Sanwire off of their websites and declined comments.
PhillipTori what are you talking about ?
Would you please share what have you learned somewhere else !!!
mitchell66 NO you would NOT !!
"If someonein the military tells someone else something basically because of our clearance levels and hat information is posted on a chat board like this, would that be considered insider trading. Basically if inew something and posted it here could I get in trouble.
It would not be violation of law unless YOU were to buy/trade that security due to that information so you would not get in trouble. Us as well would NOT because we if we would have decided to trade based on that information it would be a rumor off of this board.
THE KEY WORD IS INSIDER TRADING. You are not insider in first place and I am assuming you will not trade security based on that information.
Rocky you seem silent on elaboration on this move by Molen. Would you please care to take a stab at it. I am interested what are you thoughts on this.
Mr. Molen was CEO of Sanswire when Globetel bought them out for STOCK. When lunch of Strat is successful he is going to get a lot of shares per agreement. By stepping down from BOD isn't he voiding those shares. Also why would anyone give up control over the future of your past treasured company (Sanswire)by stopping down from Board of Directors ?
THAT DOES NOT MAKE ANY SENSE AND I SMELL SHADINESS WITH THIS DEAL. First there was Koenig and now is Molen ? It seems both of those individuals were asked to resign. The question to ask is WHY ? and for WHAT price ? No one walks away from couple of houndred millions of dollars that easy.
Am I the only one here that has its eyes open ?
Rocky do you care to elaborate on this issue ?
Can you provide the referance link stating M. Molen has left the company ? I am unaware of this.
Lowtrade,Techbear, Juststocks
Anybody can shead some light on what is going on with PPS of GTE. I mean it's redicules now. 400% down since its high. My average was good before. Right now i am bleeding trough my eyes. I have not been here for a while so forgive me if I am repeating some of the earlier posts.
Where do you see this heading ? What's the bottom ? What's going on ? What is the short postion ?
Starboy
"My Scottrade brokerage's manager said marginable securites below $4 cannot be borrowed for shorting."
He must have thought that you wanted to short the stock. No retail investor can short under $4...TRUE but Hedge funds can and majority of shares are held by them so the biggest impact is from them.
squ1dk1d good point but some action is better then no action and since asking your broker to this does not affect your account you any way then might as well everyone do it.
Who knows there might be some retail investors here that own few % of the company and if everyone on this board would do this then it would be better then doing nothing but I hear you. I encourage everyone to do this or at lease call your broker and inquire about this.
HOW TO PREVENT YOUR SHARES FROM SHORTING--->INSIDE !!!
Since business update came out from Huff our CEO he has advised to protect your shares from short position since a lot of us have suffered loses due to shorting. http://globetel.net/press/20050802.html
I felt the need to mention that there is very easy way to stop your shares from being shorted without affecting your account in any way. Regardless of whether you have margin or cash account call and tell your broker that you want to
"Restrict your shares from being borrowed(shorted)"
If representative will now know what are you talking about or will mention transferring shares to cash account ask them to inquire their manager regarding this issue. Some representatives do now know this and brokers do not advertise this since they make money on shorting fees as well. I have done this with Ameritrade yesterday and I have margin account and I can still borrow against my shares. The only change there is that OTHERS CAN NOT BORROW YOUR SHARES. Cash account does not prevent from your shares to be borrowed either.
You can do this with cash account as well and the only way to protect YOUR shares from being borrowed(shorted) is to ask to do this.
IF ONLY EVERYONE HERE WOULD DO THIS AND OTHER BOARDS WE WOULD HAVE SIGNIFICANTLY LOWER SHORT POSITION. FIGHT SHORTING THIS WAY AND WE WILL WIN.
ANY BROKERAGE CAN DO THIS YOU JUST HAVE TO ASK THEM !!!!
If your brokerage plays stupid with your please let me know I can help you.
BEST GTE PR EVER !!!!
I need to absorb this PR more but it it Globetel up to date best press release ever.
High Hopes what is GTEL ?
I thougth we are GTE now..LOL
Just messing with you.
