wow- inside information anyone? Where did you get this? If it's true, that's golden- good DD! regardless, I am LOVING the volatility here- less talking, more trading- let's keep this thing moving- I'm off to a long weekend thanks to FDMF! buying more as we speak
Just google DTCC, federal reserve, scam-- have fun--- There's always two sides to every story and being in other stocks that are chilled, some of which seem like scammers, others completely legit, I wouldn't go jumping at making decisions based on what DTCC does-- they're in it for the money too, just remember that- they aren't the police. In fact, they ARE the federal reserve-- the biggest dilution machine in the world!!!!!!! anyone? is this thing on?
I wonder about that-- a trader from another stock I'm in sent me this - I think there's a lot of hope- even the SEC is making DTC take accountability: (by the way is ihub broken today? ZERO VOLUME??)
On March 15, 2012, the SEC ruled In the Matter of the Application of International Power Group, Ltd. for review of action taken by Depository Trust Company or DTC. The DTC suspended the electronic trading two years ago simply because the SEC started a case alleging, among other things, sales of unregistered securities by IPG (but neither IPG nor its officers or directors were named.)
The SEC has now ruled that IPG is a "legal person" entitled to a fair and orderly procedure, including a hearing and the opportunity to appeal the matter to the SEC, with respect to the suspension and that DTC "did not provide IPG with adequate fair procedure in connection with the suspension. DTC tried to argue that IPG, since it is not a broker-dealer "participant," was not a "person."
More importantly, the Commission also directed DTC to "adopt procedures that accord with the fairness requirements of [the Securities Exchange Act], which may be applied uniformly in any future such issuer cases."
This ruling is good news for issuers facing a so-called DTC eligibility commonly referred to as DTC "chill." It is now clear they have standing to insist on a proper and fair hearing, and the chance to appeal to the SEC if they are not satisfied.

I would think based on those names they list as founders that, yes, they know how to sell low budget films.
It might be because you butchered the title. http://saintjamesfilms.com/gallery/dont-look-in-the-cellar I found a trailer-- anyway- doubt they could/would just put someone else's movie on their site- the movie is listed on internet movie database and there's a trailer here. Looks like a pile of crap, but if they are all profitable- I say, a great start!
I'm with you- this is really nice consolidation IMO. Definite new base to launch from. Loving the action here.
I think that's pointless- all it does is calm your nerves for the moment- these guys (pinkies) RS on a dime-- they can say no reverse and then do it (and they have) - this company case in point-- but they raised the A/S once- and from what I understand, a RS after a DTC chill can mean nothing good for the company when it comes to FINRA, and future actions, etc. -- I can't see them doing one again so soon if I had to bet (which is what we're all doing- aside from posters like Legion and Uptick who are just here sacrificing their time to help tell the TRUTH and nothing more) LMAO
are people leaving here or what's the deal today? I'd like to think this one's a long term but we could use a bounce to even a new plateau here.
One of the principals got his start in porn, and a couple of these movies are soft-core porn.
imiloa - can you verify this? doubtful as I'm guessing Lesion here is having trouble admitting he was wrong--moreso- Legion- can you provide proof on this. Though I think you're full of it, I am NOT investing in a company that makes pornography. So if you have proof, would appreciate it. None of these look like porn to me, they look like slasher movies and really bad superhero films. I even see a documentary on Afghanistan- maybe the girls took their veils off LOLOL
me too! You've just got to trade this one-- and keep trading it-- It's a cash cow if you pay attention. Anyone who isn't 'trading' it- yeah, I'd be jaded too.
I only meant that- it's the way it is-- what are you going to do-- DTC is obviously out to get these little guys- for better or for worse- and E-trade lets you trade them- so if you want to trade them, better mosey on over.... I did. If E-trade and others change policy- we're all f*cked-the companies AND the traders. DTC chilled these stocks for a "reason" sure- It's only a means to an end- you have to see the bigger picture here, this isn't 2008 anymore. I'm hoping we get a new administration in D.C. to let this all cool off. Have you read who and what the DTC actually is and who runs it-- pretty scary stuff.
any word on how much this television network is going to cost them? I haven't had time to research- added on a hunch from a buddy.
ha! doubtful-- F this stock and the horse it rode in on-- it probably wasn't even a horse-- more like an old mule.
If anyone sells TODAY, and waited all this time for the company to prove it actually did what it said it was going to do-- yeah, ship of fools. But I wouldn't be surprised- most people down in the dumps here can't wrap their heads around a company that actually performs LOL - but we'll see-- let's just hope they don't wait another 3 months to say-- AAAANDDD--- we just ordered new printer cartridges for our office... but I can take steady growth if that's the aim here-- would be refreshing- I could easily go another week or two without news - give us a chance to DD this St. James thing
That's a good point. Frankly I think it was a weaselly way of saying, it's done, but I'm not telling you yet. all in all- good stuff as, it's done! I agree with you to a point; though I think baby steps are important-- I've been involved in companies where they 'blow their load' all in one release- not a good strategy at all in trying to get new shareholders as its too much. This was nice and clean (a rarity for this company I might add)--- they acquired a company- the company makes films and has them distributed- that's a pretty nice step imo - but yeah, I would like to see a lot more- like- are these the only 3 films they have? Are they going to make more? What's the deal there?
great points all around-- I think I was roughing the guestimate there on the shows-- but noticed the Diddy show and thought the video was separate from one of those pics, but its not-- I see 3 comedy shows, 2 concerts, 1 MMA event, 1 Talent show and a partridge in a pear tree. honestly, I'd like to see more on the comic book side, but we'll see what happens there.
Nice proactive! I can't say I'd be shocked if this were all fake given the pinkie antics of others, but I doubt a company with so much at stake on a big film like White Space and dealing with a guy like Game of Thrones dude is going to risk it over a 2 day website for what? Just devil's advocate here but glad you got proactive- valid concern in this realm
I see like 4 concerts and 3 comedy shows and an Indiana's Got Talent--did they do Iowa's Got Talent too? How many talent shows? Anyway- again-- not my cup of tea so glad its before my time here-- I do love me some movies though. Agreed that the SJ website pretty much sucks-- but I'm impressed we actually own 'something'--- ANYTHING after that long quiet spell- I was about to sh*t myself over another scam loss-- but I see the strategy here and like it.
on the positive- yeah, White Space looks like a MEGA movie-- and I love Game of Thrones so this werewolf thing is cool too though I can't quite tell what they're doing with it-- at least the author mentions them on his website..... ---full circle-- HIS website sucks too-- haha, you think the owner of Game of Thrones would have a good website but its terrible--so maybe who cares about SJ website as long as they crank out the dough for us
Can't argue that, amigo-- let's just hope time is on our side there
I found this on the site FAQ-- google these guys-- they aren't amateurs---
HOW LONG HAS THE COMPANY BEEN AROUND? | back to top
The company was formed in 2008 to produce feature films. The principals, Ted Chalmers and Gennaro Buonocore have been in the film distribution business since 2006 and has handled such high profile movies as HENRY’S CRIME starring Keanu Reeves and James Caan.
particularly this Genaro guy--- “Getting involved in the distribution of projects like Henry’s Crime demonstrates ICAP’s steady growth in the media space and its ever increasing sales and revenue opportunities,” confirmed Gennaro Buonocore, Managing Director of ICAP Media, the leading interdealer broker whose media division encompasses Moving Pictures.
ICAP?? looks pretty big to me: About ICAP MEDIA/Moving Pictures Film and Television
ICAP Media (IM) is a multi-faceted media company. Its parent company, ICAP Plc, is a publicly traded financial institution, listed on the London Stock Exchange (IAP.L). The Group’s mission is to provide audiences with ethically entertaining media products. IM holdings include both a US theatrical and distribution business and an international sales division, as well as Moving Pictures magazine that reports on the social, artistic and political elements that shape the world of movies; MovingPicturesMagazine.com, the online destination, and “Moving Pictures Live!,” a web and television series. The ICAP Media/Moving Pictures Film and Television offices are headquartered in the Santa Monica area of Los Angeles, CA.
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZ is it 2012 yet?????? guess this stock is "all wet" Any interest I had has "evaporated" Is this thing on??
Well, I was not around during that time- and I know a lot of "concert promoters" so I have to say I'm glad they aren't involved in that now- but it looks to me like they did more than you are saying (their website)--- http://mtpprods.com/concerts-events.php That Mike Birbiglia guy is HILARIOUS!!! He came to my town last year and sold out a pretty big venue. Anyhoo-- I guess it doesn't matter, but I think this new sub is going to provide a lot of action for us here.
touche- but my point is- more than hoping stocks can achieve removal of a chill, I think the realistic turn of events here is that more firms will adapt to accepting chilled stock transactions- and traders will have to adapt to using specific firms that allow this type of trading.
there are still plenty of pink traders who haven't gotten etrade accts to get around the chill.
That's their problem! Everything I'm in at this level is getting chilled. Times they are-a-changin'
Does anyone know the current share structure here? I am researching entertainment stocks- this one, MIKP and TKDN
I have to say, news of late has been pretty lame- I hope they start showing some cards here. Some really good stuff, but really guys, what are we doing right now?
Yeah I saw some of this too-- but in reading that Paramount Pictures article- I doubt theatrical is the goal here. I did some googling on films like this- and I think they are on to something BIG:
A radical example of straight-to-DVD production involves the Asylum, a company that specializes in “mockbusters”— films made for only hundreds of thousands of dollars and intended to capitalize on the success of their higher-profile counterparts. Mockbusters typically arrive on DVD several days before the theatrical premiere of the higher-budget film; examples include Snakes on a Train (timed with Snakes on a Plane); Transmorphers (Transformers); and Paranormal Entity (Paranormal Activity). It remains unclear whether these “fake” films merely appeal to viewers who are already fans of the bigger-budget original, or whether Asylum’s titles deceive viewers into renting the wrong film. In December 2008, 20th Century Fox issued a cease-and-desist letter to the company prior to their release of The Day the Earth Stopped, which shortly preceded Fox’s release of The Day the Earth Stood Still. Nevertheless, Asylum carried on undeterred, and continues to produce and release films via its original model. In 2009, Dana Harris and Erin Maxwell reported for Variety, “Asylum execs say their company sees annual revenues of about $5 million and that no title has failed to turn a profit.”
hmmmmmm...
As long as Mike The Pike isn't making this schlok and it let's the sub do the dirty work-- could be pretty nice- am I wrong?
I don't think so-- and I mean that in a good way-- we don't want a POP, we want a steady incline up, up and away so there's not a mad rush to capture profit. IF this company EVER puts out news again, and if its anything notable, I see it being the start of them putting their money where their mouth is-- piece by piece we finally see this thing GROOOOWW-- not POP.
I found this-- looks like it means it's not done, but good movement forward as they decided on a final edit toward putting the sparklies on lol ; http://www.darrenlynnbousman.com/picture-lock/ Pretty fascinating industry if you look up this behind the scenes stuff. At least gives us something to do other than watch PAINT DRY lolol-- but I'm hangin' long on this-- sumthin' different here.
Well, correct me if I'm wrong- I agree- this guy needs a new watch- quite the joker when it comes to deadlines-- but they did manage to film White Space- jesus- I don't know if anyone here knows about moviemaking, but the stills on their website make for a really good looking film. My buddy in CA is a production designer (the white space guy worked on iron man, watchmen, etc.) and this thing looks top notch.. never seen a pinkie do something like this before- at least not a movie company.
Agreed MAC- these guys have plenty up their sleeves IMHO-- lots to gain here. I've also been dumpster diving a bit - doing nice with FDMF and a few others.
You with us still? I told you our day would come on this one....looking nice.
I am LOVING the fluctuations here- wasn't sure about this one, but I've made mine and then some so far. Keep on truckin'.
WAH WAH WAH.
Loving this chart! Loving this company-- for a few years now- and I feel they have a BIG come uppance in their future.
Agreed, they need to take care of this if they can- but doubtful given the current environment for pinks-- this is for gamblers- DTC and SEC shutting every micro down-- so if you want the 10x, etc. potential- you gotta play ball-- For me- its worth signing up at options xpress or etrade to have the opportunity. I hear ya-- happening to a lot of them- but a lot of those are still winners too-- so I'm in it to win it at these prices.
You have more than one name on some of these tickers? In what way are these people related? I know that Carnes/Powalisz/Miers are the biggies, but I think these others are ancillary at best, no? I have limited info from a buddy of mine in the sunshine state. There's a Matt somebody that should be on here too. But for the most part I think some of these smaller names at the bottom of your list were pawns or wannabes.
Well, I'm sick too-- of this stock....PLEASE GOD, deliver us from this STOCK SOMEHOW! What a crock.
I'd say good point in most industries, but if you research different movie companies- big or small, they all seem to have multiple productions "in development". I have a buddy in the "biz" and he says this is typical (and smart)-- I think its a let's throw a lot of projects out there and see which one sticks kind of business.
agreed- looking real nice, this one.
