Take a look at the rig count going back to 2020. It fell off a cliff March through August of 2020. This happened right about the same time the world started working from home and avoiding their local bar. It has increased steadily since, starting right about the same time the Republican president was fired. Take a look at the price of WTI over that same time period. The graphs are very similar as you would expect. When the price goes up, more producers are able to produce and make a profit regardless of political party. Good old capitalism and the invisible hand. But you go ahead and make up a scapegoat. Never let the truth get in the way of a good story.

You're saying that war is new? Oil spikes are new? Unstable Europe is new? Inflation is new? Recession is new? Come on. The only thing new here is the internet and the ability for everyone, right or wrong, to fling an opinion and pretend they are the knower of the unkown.
Probably so. Russia is a good lesson there as well. Are you stashing rubles? Some cash, some equity, some debt and some real estate. Rebalance when the winners run to buy the losers.
How long will "Big money" be out of the market?
How many other factors have caused markets to drop?
The pandemic is a great lesson. These are all just bumps in the road in the long term. I remember clipping 14% coupons on treasuries. I remember learning how to use a geiger counter and where the fallout shelters were because the Russians were coming. The turmoil is part of it all. Have a plan and stick to it. Nothing mystic to it. No need for caps or screeching on the street corner.
That's the point. Ignore emotion and panic. If you can tell me exactly when to buy and exactly when to sell, I'm on board. An anonymous poster telling me they know my individual situation, my risk tolerance and make very broad assumptions about what I am doing all the while reading Archie comic books and wiping cheeto dust on the couch is not what I would call prudent investment advice. The current environment is irrelevant. Methodic diversification and rebalancing to targets that are specific to me means long term security and achieves the goals I have in place.

You sell all and sit on the sidelines Larry Linger. I'm busy building a nest egg.
Thanks Dad. Hope you are doing well.

Self appointed respect comes with caps, italics, bold and red font. Good to know. What do you get if others respect you?
Smug... hmmm? Do you have a mirror handy?
Thanks for the clarification.
So to clarify, you didn't mean that Sigma was being sent to the OTC?
Link?
Who is this you you speak of? Are you talking to a stock?
Bought some.
Oh no dude. Just ask vis. Shareholders are doing great. Pay no attention to that man behind the curtain! The Great Oz has spoken!
How many times have the "professionals" been right here?
Professionals and amateurs alike have about the same track record here which is pretty abysmal. Are you bragging that the price has fallen from $9 to $2 over the last two years? How many of the "professionals" were underwriting the constant pile of dilution over the last decade?
I would be bragging and claiming the professionals had it right if they had called it correctly over the last 10 years. Do you have an example of a "professional" that has gotten it right over the last decade?
Do SPACs do technical?
The chip makers are getting throttled today.
Good earnings. Not so great guidance.
I think it will be bouncy for a while. Not for the timid.
This is the range I have been seeing.
20,0000 Lucid Air
Hopefully they have the chip shortage thing figured out and the 20,000 number is conservative. I don't think the confirmation of them being a large player is going to happen overnight. They also have to grow into their $55 billion market cap.
The competition in the space is heating up with the big guys throwing lots of money at EV. The Car of the Year is a good start. Now we just have to see if they are for real.
I had a great 2021 strategy. It was the same as my 2020 strategy. In fact it was the same as my 2010 and 2000 and 1995 strategy. Invest when I have money, diversify across non correlated asset classes, rebalance when things run and most important, don't be stupid. I did great and am on track to retire early and comfortably. No tricks, no magic, no guy named Eddy with the can't miss strategy. Just head down and nose to the grindstone.
Hitting and exceeding production targets. Some help from the overall stock market.
If you really think that what you have today is more valuable then what you had 5 years ago, I can't help you.
Show me where I can short MIKP shares.
They have smarter CEOs.
For lying? Lots of pretty specific rules about that. All of this is self imposed and can be traced back to the moron in charge.
Someone complained to the SEC because they were breaking the law.
This thing is garbage. Was then, is even more now. The CEO does this part time. The only product out of MIKP is how many years old? The only thing that keeps it alive is idiots like you and I that let greed and hopium cloud reality.
Hedges? They have no idea this ticker exists.
I was talking about White Space. I thought it was going to be total garbage. As is, the editor did a decent job, some acting was ok and as far as graphics, I didn't see any strings. The CEO still has his head so far up his ass as far as running a company that HE probably doesn't even know what the truth is these days. The blame is Mark's and only Mark's.
Looks like this is not going to happen.

That did not suck. Very surprised.
