I wonder how the evaluation process is going on in our Pacific theater.
Certainly I'm willing to come forward. The CAGI thing turned out to be a trainwreck (no pun intended) for all the BS BB reasons. But, in the long run, I managed wo make a few pesos on the deal. As I recall, Hasher actually told me when they made him a Director. I wasn't surprised by the fact. No offense to Peter, but the fact that they DID appoint him as a director raised a very high red flag as to the company's likelihood of survival in my eyes. In the long run, however, I feel that if the guy who began the thing was still in charge, it might have made it. Just like I think that if Wolf was still in charge of PWTC, we'd be a damned sight better off at this point than what we are.
The posts are degenerating at a rapid pace here as of late, it seems to me. As for me, I remain the skeptic and will continue to do so until BeeJay produces something with more substance than a foggy morning. When Hasher states that he posts facts and is being hammered as a result, my personal view is that he is correct. He hides behind no anonymity and stands to have his ass sued if his comments are proved to be libelous. The attacks on him smack of James Carville tactics wherein name-calling regularly takes the place of point, counter-point FACTS. (That sentence will probably be cut and pasted and thrown in my face, but I stand by it.)
Okay, BeeJay. It's your turn. You've got the money, the overseas interest and the position to make this work. Only YOU can stop all the crap happening here. Are you up to it?
Hey oris, long time no hear. You still up in ME with the fishers and porkies?
About a year or so ago, Birdy called me and asked me for your number. I gave him the one I had which apparently was no longer good. I also have a number for him as well as email address which are suspect as well. I'll PM them to you here.
Welcome back!
Bob
Otter (sorry for the gap between posts - was out of town yesterday). What was "dangled" was the promise of a revolutionary new product with honest-to-God credentials behind it (Snaper and Pohmren), plus outfits standing in the wings for a shot at using the "new" battery. That is what I was told. However, as time went on, you simply wouldn't believe some of the happenstances that took place. They are, however well in the past and don't need to be related again, especially seeing as how it would all be considered heresay in a court of law.
"Did the initial pump of PTI rate equal to the potential of the product? Certainly blame can be levied against the likes of LB for only so much. So when those first investors were coerced into buying, was there fair reason to expect success?"
At the beginning, as I recall, the float was so miniscule (300,000 or so) that the promise of a new, lighter, more powerful battery looked well worth the flyer. It was hyped to a fair-thee-well by Elbee and a handful of knee-jerks who allowed as how there were customers lining up for the thing -- including a golf cart mfg. who "wanted it real bad". Also, Alvin Snaper's association helped a great deal as well as Pohmren's who, at the time, was touted as still having connections with the President's energy czars. My initial purchase was in excess of $5 per share which evaporated shortly thereafter when the first of many "dumps" hit the market. Anecdotal scuttlebut was that Balak had himself a high old time on some high-roller's yacht after that first dump.
"And why is it sadder for those who bought at $5 than it is happier to those who bought in at .02? What if the future holds $20 a share?" You got me, I have no idea whatsoever what the hell you're saying.
"Larger audience" boards, in my observation, still have their share of bashers and hypsters - probably in the same percentages as here. The serious investor will do their own DD and make their own decisions. Odds are great that the "larger audience" boards, as you put it, are NOT BB issues and garner a more sophisticated following, therefore making them considerably MORE than a "thread like this/these".
Otter:
You said: "Of course they miss that fact. This comment is about bashers, pumpers are a totally different topic. Besides, we all know how terrible it is when pumpers make the price go up and we all make money."
Only problem is, the vast majority of the present shareholders have not, do not and probably will not ever make money on this issue. This, at the hands of the original pumpers. I think hasher is dead on -- pumpers are equally egregious in their zeal to sway company appeal. I would also say that bashers and pumpers alike (on threads such as these) most likely have next to no measurable influence on the day-to-day PPS fluctuations or volume.
Closing in on noontime with no trading. This could be our first "shut-out" of the new year.
Thank you, Robin. I stand corrected.
Boy, if I was a MM, I think I'd lose sleep if I had to take a vacation and not be able to screw with PWTC.
It didn't last long. eom
I haven't received the full news story yet, but it appears the folks at EEEI have received another $1 mil government grant to assist in developing their new battery. Howscome we can't score some of that government dough, Mr. W?
Without those promoters, do we even HAVE a market? It seems that hope is renewed with the beginning of each new year and crushed shortly thereafter. Once again, "we will see".
lol, no, I was referring to the article in its entirety. Anyone can pull a line or two out of a book (or article)that "proves" their point. I prefer to view and digest the entire package.
Probably every one of these toxic "lenders" can point to successful companies they have "helped", but they are clearly in the minority. I would think that we have a much better chance of success with a lawyer running the store than the bluejean wearing pretty-boy but, overall, I still think our chances rival that of a pee-hole in the snow.
I think Gulfbreeze's post summed up the evils quite nicely:

Just went back and re-read my post -- the one that you took to be so offensive. Cannot see what was said to bring you to YOUR "ungluing" point. Sorry, if you want to play "dogpile on the rabbit" (cartoon term that you seem to have a preference for), I'm not up to the challenge. If, on the other hand, you wish to 'splain to the unwashed among us how selling our soul to Cornell, coupled with the 62mil potential dilution, is going to greatly advance our position, I'm all ears. Here I thought our Asian allies were going to be building the things for us and we're back to begging for dough to build them ourselves? Something isn't right. Sooooooo, if I wish to come "unglued", I shall do so -- okay, Henery?
One would think that with all the great deals just begging to be made overseas (chortle), Whorenell could have been avoided. Don't think I've ever felt this thoroughly betrayed since Wolf was unceremoniously purged -- at just about this same time of year, as I recall. Happy New Year -- NOT.
LOL -- he referred to your posts as "mature" and agreed with you. Clearly a case of dementia which, in and of itself, should have catapulted him outta here.
Well, Happy New Year to everyone. Here's hoping!
Sure would like to know who the little pecker was/is. lol
I'm sure BJ will look into those allegations and, if found to have grounds, will cease and desist doing business with such shady individuals (right!). I find it amusing at times that, even though there are none among us who haven't heard some very good "lawyer" jokes, and of all the "professional" people out there, lawyers are the most reviled, the fact that PTI is being headed up by one of them is a wonderful thing?
It's gonna take some kind of solid piece of news to keep those 62 mil shares from finding their way into the mainstream.
Can't see that ha'ennin.

Otterman: Were those otters fresh or saltwater guys?
The info I gave you -- did it help?
Ah well, it's Christmas. Guess the "consultants" need some spending money too. Seems like each and every piece of heartening news is followed by a pregnant pause followed by the imminent sell-off, lower PPS and, of course, the feeling that we've been had once again.
The last PR said there'd be more PR's in the future. Damn, I hope not, any more good news and the thing is likely to disappear altogether.
Otterman: You really oughta change your tag-line. Ain't nobody here more watching and hopeful as yourself. lol
Unfortunately. eom
Could be, mlf, but I got a gut feeling that one of these mou's is gonna produce sumpin. (Of course, 7 years worth of gut feelings is all we've all been going on). lol -- NOT
LOL -- g1
Wow, this summunabeech is creepin' up! Must be sumpin BIG gonna happen. Uh huh.
Anybody know why the "volume" stated the first thing in the morning is 1.21m when actual volume was about 20% of that figure? I've seen ihub do that on several occasions. Wishful thinking, perhaps?
"Nothin's gonna happen till it happens so never mind complaining until it does. If you dont have patience, the stock market is not the place for you."
Bid now at .066 with no real support in sight. Looks like your prediction of a 6 cent stock by the third week of Dec. might just be accurate.
Hmmmm. Perhaps he does and always has gotten around better than, oh, say, some members of the legal profession?
The last time I did this, a PR came out shortly thereafter -- must try it again:
.--. --- ...
I've never considered you a "pumper", Don. With all the axes being ground here, however, the resulting smoke sometimes obfuscates the real intent of the board.
Amen to that! eom
The point being?
There are two sides to each and every story. I've spoken with Wolf often enough to say I feel he is one of the most honest individuals I've ever conversed with. If he has a problem with present management, I have no idea what it might be, but where there's smoke, there's usually fire.
I'm told that if a call was placed, it would result in a conversation. I suspect that is a two-way street, but given the treatment that WM received at the hands of Elbee, I sure can't fault the man for being more than a little jaundiced
Otterman: Take it from someone who has been trying to orchestrate that meeting for a long time, the reason for there never having been a conversation between WM and Walter is NOT WM's. WM has made it clear he will speak with Walter at any time. That phone call hasn't, to the best of my knowledge, ever been placed to Mr. Meyerfeld.
