I tend to agree, mlf, those half hour info-mercials were all the rage when they first hit the market but seem to have lost a lot of their impact strictly based on the volume of them out there. Maybe next year we can advertise at the Superbowl. A 30 second commercial with Balak getting stoned by shareholders might just do the trick?? lol
Gloom indeed. There are generally two sides to each and every issue. Had that lesson been learned earlier in the life of this company, there would be nowhere near the number of people on the short end of the stick as there are (including you, Rooster). It's not unlike having cancer and going to enough doctors that, sooner-or-later, you'll have one of them tell you what you want to hear. That just might be exactly what you want to hear, but it could kill you. Likewise BeeJay's explanation of what appears to be some very shady goings-on. Sounds non-benign, but certainly shouldn't be taken necessarily at face value. It boils down to our being financed by loan sharks based in the Caymans who apparently want millions of shares available for sale "just in case". If you care to be heartened by that, Rooster, be my guest.
Personally, I see very little associated with that filing that floated my boat. Granted, there were "updates" on the demo plates (thank you, dfh). And March was projected as the time period that one party would be back to us with results of their testing. Seems to me I asked that exact question during the CC and was stonewalled.
"Vigilance" should be the new Word for the Day.

Talk about dilution. Now BeeJay's fireside chat of last week is a bit clearer. I only gleaned over the most distasteful parts of this filing, but I didn't see anything that even approached palatable news.
Thanks BeeJay.
mlf: Agreed. What's the point of having a past member of Bush Sr's cabinet as a Director of the company if he can't pull a string or two to get us a tiny share of that action? I'd much rather have an inept government looking to have their student loans repaid than a dude named Angelo. lol
Apparently, Yorkville "manages" Cornell. That, IAW one of the blurbs found on a stock trading in the 0.0015 range (Celerity). Troublesome, though, that it wasn't expected that Cornell would be dumping shares, but for a $1 "consideration", Yorkville has control and has relieved themselves of 300,000 already.
Maybe this is much ado over nothing, but to me the picture is blurry as hell.

General Statement of Beneficial Ownership -- Schedule 13D
filed as of Tuesday, 2/21/06, with respect to
Power Technology Inc/CN
"Item 3. Source and Amount of Funds or Other Consideration.
The Shares were purchased from Cornell Capital Partners, LP, for $1.00 and
good and equitable consideration on December 15, 2005, which Cornell acquired as
compensation pursuant to the Standby Equity Distribution Agreement dated August
7, 2004, which was subsequently terminated and re-executed on May 10, 2005
Item 4. Purpose of Transaction.
Highgate acquired the Shares for investment and not with a view to, or for
resale in connection with, any distribution thereof, and the Reporting Persons
do not have a present intention of selling, granting any participation in, or
otherwise distributing the acquired Shares. The Reporting Persons have no
present plans or intentions which would result in or relate to any transactions
described in subparagraphs (a) through (j) of Item 4 of Schedule 13D."
This outfit has been selling off 50k chunks of their acquisition as of early Feb.
Ideas anybody?
Was wondering previously why the CC was called at this time. Perhaps it was "greasing the skids" for the fresh round of dilution apparently taking place? Maybe Scotty can tell us. You out there, Scotty?
Here's the pitch...............
Great! Now we have MIT for competitors too. Those boys don't play fair, especially given the fed dough that pours into their coffers for projects that might be useful to the military.
"All in all it looks like more proof that this company is moving forward."

the count is 3&2, bottom of the 9th, down by a run, bases loaded (with heavy expensive players) and BeeJay at bat.
"Risk, reward" I believe the man said.
Zackly. "Scott" sounded just a bit polished. LOL -- Maybe he was e-Y??
I tend to agree with you, Rooster. However, being the skeptic that I am, I can't help but wonder what precipitated the event? Why at this point in time was it suggested that a CC be held? Why not very shortly after BJ took over? I mean, it was obviously for the benefit of existing shareholders who are in "waiting" mode and not likely to be purchasing any more huge blocks of stock until such time at something concrete takes place. And, the harder questions (like mine) concerning time frames for testing once the various factions have their demo units, couldn't be answered. I dunno. On one hand, I'm glad that they threw out something to the shareholders other than "intent" PR's but on the other hand, am disappointed that there was considerably more sizzle than steak.
The skeptic in me also suspects that at least one of the questioners was a plant.

Give this little test a try. It's a test of hand-eye coordination. Supposedly, if you can hold on for 22 seconds, that is very good. Air Force pilots are expected to hang in there for 2 minutes.

logman - tyvm. We will see what we shall see re: this purchase (although, notice the word "intent" is still prevalent).
Check your pic -- it isn't showing up in your posts.
It's funny -- I had always thought that maybe PTI would possibly someday be the "buyee", not the "buyer". Can't quite digest the ramifications of this move yet. Will shut-up now other than to say "Thank You" to my beloved Steelers for one helluva ride this year.
OT -- logman -- Much thanks. I like my boys' chances, but the quiet determination of the Seahawks coupled with the facts that they are the "underdogs" and this is their first Superbowl might well make for a real Cinderella story come Monday.
I hope the game is a blow-out -- either way -- cuz those close ones down to the last play might be great to watch, but my constitution doesn't appreciate it. lol
Anyway, I hope everyone enjoys the game.
Don't think anybody here has lost sight of any of that.

What them dang flies do.
EEEI and Firefly have already received Government grants for their technologies. We clearly don't have the muscle to lobby for some of that dough unless, IMO, someone picks us up, dusts us off and works with us. I have my doubts as to our making it solo, regardless of the very real need. Too many heavy-hitters out there with deep pockets that can make it happen.
And then I read Dakota's post relating the PR that actually DID occur (am I physic [sic] or what)?
So, I'm "knocking" a fabricated PR (you'll notice that none occured) but did so with 7 years of watching that exact scenario take place, and draw flak like a B-17 over Berlin? Come now, Rooster. This bomber is completing its mission and returning home, unscathed.
Knock what? eom
A little bit of unexpected volume this AM. I would guess that there's probably a vague PR around the corner that might drive the price up a penny and then watch it tumble back to the .07 to .08 range. I "intend" to read it when and if it (the PR) arrives.

Word for the Day: Investor.
One who purchases any number of shares of stock and waits for years on end for the dead horse to be whipped back into a standing position only to have hopes dashed shortly after each and every one of the PR's ever put out is promptly followed by a flood of new shares on the market with no apparent equity realized as a result of the PR's coming to "fruition". An "investor" is also one who has heard those two magic words, "next week" so many times that they are no longer with meaning. "Next month" and "next year" are now the official buzzwords along with "deepcycle", "evaluation", "testing",
"patent infringement" and "intends/intent". An "investor" must be very careful to not let their frustrations spill forth for fear of being labeled a "basher" or to be told to "get out of the kitchen if you can't stand the heat". An "investor" is one who must remain true blue to the chosen leader even if that leader turns out to be a lying, thieving bum who lives high-on-the-hog while contributing not one single positive donation to the company's betterment BUT stands to become filthy rich should the dead horse ever have life breathed back into it.

OT -- Rooster,
They had all the tools, for sure. AND, all the tools were healthy for a change. Another thing Pgh has been doing as of late is backing off on their well-known blitzing. Teams expected the blitz and burned hell out of them in the secondary with passing. All told, I haven't seen them looking this good since the seventies with Noll, Bradshaw, Swann, Joe Green, et al. Been a long time between drinks, lol.
I think he might have been referring to Ulf, Rooster.
logman: Thanks, appreciate it. All told, however, that game might just cost me some dough. I'm fighting the urge for that wide-screen plasma TV for the Superbowl.
PS -- Seattle looked awful good too. Should be quite a shoot-out.
OT logman:
Never have been a fan of the Broncos -- but a big fan of the state pf CO. If the Steelers lose, I will probably be despondent for a week. lol
dfh: lol -- as tempting as that sounds, you can rest assured I'll not be poking my nose into that arena. I'm just totally pleased that at least one vendor is quality, that we're not doing whatever we can to get going on-the-cheap, which can and usually does create even more problems.
Go Steelers
Technic, Inc is a customer of mine in RI. Good outfit. Just wish they'd get that machinery out the door quicker than 3-4 months. Can't fight "progress", I s'pose.
Is he an employee with Cat at this time, Rooster?
