There is a big difference in stating what languages your software works in and what platforms your software works on.
First of all if microsofts windows wasnt in french they wouldnt be marketing the product to the french would they?
As to other software vendors they do in fact mark their products for what platform it works on contrary to your statement. If a software developer designs a piece of software that only works on windows xp the package usually states that.
As to marketing a product to a cell phone user, then yes you need to be more specific then stating its working NOW and you can click on a bar code to get info. Especially if you know that there are platforms in the market you are addressing that your software dont work on.
As for the disclaimer aspect, keep in mind that its NEOMs management that said that their software would function on every platform, as far back as 3 years ago. Yes they said at that time they were only supported on 2 NOKIA models, but that the rest were in the works. And 3 years later it dont even function on all the platforms used here in the US. So what are you talking about that it has to work all around the world for me to consider it fully functional? It dont even work on all the p-latforms in our own country does it? And dont you think 3 years was long enbough to accomplish that task?
And on that note, if they are the leader they say they are, then surely they are on top of this technology around the world right? Well then why havent they been able to come up with a QR decoder program to imbed in QODE yet, since that technology has been in use in Japan for years and everyone knows is coming here?
I think their abilities when it comes to software developement are a lot more limited then what some on this board want to admit.
You also state the product is fully functional on all the platforms it was developed on. Is that why NEOM had to run a pilot program on the first platform?
As to being able to click on bar codes, that too is a little misleading as well as your statement on the matter. Can a user go into any store today and click on a bar code and get real results, and not a demo? No they can not, so the application may be functioning as you put it, but at this time is pretty much worthless to the consumer right? Ans wasnt that user supposed to have options like checking prices, or checking calories etc fo diet purposes? Is any of that functioning that you know of or do you just go to a generic demo site?
And as to what was said, at the start of the interview the words SMART CODES was used and it was stated that the consumer could us4e their cell phones to click on those smart codes to retrieve information. Thats how the interview began, not focused on bar codes as you suggest. And a QR code is a smart code is it not, just as is OP3's shot code?
Listen to the WINK video again? Fritz says NOW you can just go click on a bar code with your camera cell phone and get direct access to information. I will have to listen to it again, but I believe its in the latter part of his comments on the wink news video. And that is just not true at this time, and as an officer of the company that statement should of included a disclaimer that its not working on all phones, and its not reading all codes yet. How many will watch that video and run out to see if they can scan a bar code and nothing happens in the real world application? Statements like that should be reserved until the product is fully functioning or at least have a warning that its not fully functioning.
"""""""And, my telecommunications expert just back from Japan agrees it will be as big here as in Japan, and just requires time to catch on.
""""""
I expect since he is using Japan as a comparison, he is talking about QR codes right? Since we know QODE isnt in use in JAPAN or is it?
And I agree with your friend 100 percent. Mobile marketing will be as big here as Japan. What I dont agree on at this time is whose platform or whose codes will be used here. And based on what I have seen so far it looks like QR codes are winning out.
no bodreaux, my post was accurate. It does not work as the company explained it should work, on all platforms and on all codes. Its partially working as best we know right now, which in my view means it does not work.
By my estimation, it currently does about 1/4 or less of what it was claimed to be able to do, so I dont consider that working technology at this time.
If you go to buy a car and the salesman tells you it turns over, but dont start yet, but we are developing that and should have a fix in the future, are you going to buy the car?
Clawman I used the same language that this same poster used in a post to me yesterday. Its kinda of like what goes around comes around, and yes it can be insulting as it was when used towards me yesterday.
So you are 100 percent right those others are reaping what they sow. Not only was it used against me I believe it was alos used by this poster towards SOXFAN.
See thats where you are wrong, asking any poster anything personal is off the topic of the stock, but at least asking if the own NEOM is closer to on topic then asking them where else they might be posting, since it does in a way have something to do with NEOM.
But I am glad you brought up the RB board I have heard so much about here, because it seems that many of the longs who claim to have left that forum, seem to enjoy it so much they want to turn this board into the same.
When all you can post are personal attacks about another poster or smart alleck remarks about that poster, instead of posting about NEOM the stock, arent you applying those RB standards? I thought so.
If posters here dont like the negative comments made by certain posters about NEOM, thats too bad, they belong here just as much as all the hype, and belong here more so then the posts about microsoft going mobile with their search engine, which dont have squat to do with NEOM. And when those posters are so offended by the negative posts they have to try to take it personal with the poster they are no better then the RBers you so much like to talk about.
So why dont we try to follow Matts rules and keep the posts on the TOPIC of NEOM the COMPANY and not the poster or the posters intentions or motivations as Matt made clear violates his rules.
And for the record, unlike you and many others here, I have never even been to the RB boards, and I use one screenname whereever I decided to post, because I have nothing to hide from no one.
OK lets take this slowly so hopefully you will understand.
You and so many others here claim that NEOMs technology is able to link users directly to marketers content. It MIGHT be able to do that when they get the software complete, and if the marketers subscribe to NEOMs platform. What part of that is confusing you? At this time all it links to is a bunch of DEMOS they set up themselves, and even then only if you have a certain model cell phone, operating on a certain platform. Do you need Drmyke to explain that to you so you understand it? All the hype about what it does is just that at this time, because it dont do anything for the consumer, but show them some nice demos.
Qode is not a hosting site you got that part right? QODE intends to be a data base of stored information, as I and several others pointed out here many many many times, so what part of that are you having trouble understanding? I thought when we were talking patents I made it perfectly clear QODE is a RESOLUTION SERVER or DATA BASE, so whare you getting this web hosting crap from?
I think its you that needs to call Ft Myers, because apparently you and others here dont understand what this technology does, or where its at as wqe speak. Instead you want to focus on the pie in the sky, of what MIGHT BE at some future time. Hello we are talking about the HERE AND NOW. And yes the SKY might be the limit as you say for NEOM CLIENTS, but we dont know that do we? We dont even know if any major marketing brands are even going to adopt NEOMs Qode as their marketing tool do we?
So until you can answer all those issues above, I suggest you focus on what qode is capable of as we speak, which is what I have been trying to do all along.
As for QODE being able to scan QR codes, I will believe it when I see it, and at this time it does not have that availability, and according to the company officers thats not at the top of their priorities right now? Or did you miss that?
And secondly on that issue, big deal qode will be able to read QR codes at some time? If it isnt pre installed on phones how many people you thing will use the QR reader that is already coming pre installed? And do you think NEOM will make money reading others codes? To do that they would hhave to charge the user a fee, not the marketer, because the marketer will not agree to a fee with NEOM when their customers already have a QR reader from someone else pre installed on their phones.
And thats why the stock is below .08 as I said it would be over a month ago, when I said its not going over a dime any time soon unless there is major developements. So I dont think I need help understanding where QODE is at now, but I honestly believe you do.
And thats your opinion right , that its just a matter of time before brands and bar codes get switched on?
Why dont you explain what will be required for those bar codes to be switched on? Remember the vendors and manufacturers own those bar codes, and not NEOM. And NEOMs business model as they explained it to me, is to charge those vendors and manufactures a fee to turn on their bar codes, through NEOMs platform. So why dont you give us your best estimate on how many of those vendors or manufacturers will in fact pay NEOM to turn on their bar codes? And while you are at it give us an estimate of how many of those vendors or manufacturers might instead opt to use QR codes, like is already occurring more and more every day. And I know you read all the posts here so you know thats a fact because almost daily theres a post about some new company using QR codes here, and when our own postal service is using them on envekopes that tells you something. Or it should tell you something.
Funny you mention that as an example. First of all Qode isnt even launched in the UK yet is it? And if my mempry is correct Qode dont work on all the cell phone platforms in the UK yet does it?
So having a marketing article in a publication that features a program not yet working there isnt the same as signing on a brand is it? The revenue off that article I expect will be about the same amount as the revenue off prentice halls feature, which in my opinion will be zero. Lot different then signing on a brand thats gonna pay NEOM for every click through, or register their bar codes with NEOM for a fee isnt it?
Bodreaux..........I saw it work 3 years ago as well with my own eyes, but it was merely a DEMO?
Are you stating that it is functioning on all cell phone platforms now?
Also are you stating that all those millions of bar codes, the owners have paid NEOM to turn them on in their IP platform so they are active? We will see in time just how many of those bar code owners decide to pay NEOM to turn them on, because that is NEOMs intent is it not? At this time the vast majority are demos, so yes you can click on the demos and go somewhere, but NEOM isnt making a dime off them are they? Thats why they are called demos.
As for my point, that you ask about so many times in one post, my point is there is a very very long ways to go before you see all these bar codes turned on, or before you see this technology become mainstream.
And my point is this technology from NEOM is not available at this time on a broad spectrum. Yet the interview suggested it was did it not?
Who gives a flip what it will be able to do in the future, when that time comes it may be obsolete by others software that can do the same. What can Qode do today is the question? Maybe Fritz should of said we are developing the application so that IN THE FUTURE YOU CAN CLICK ON ANY CODE to get a direct connect, because obviously right now they arent at that stage.
Then there are the issue of smart codes. Can Qode at this time scan all the smart codes out there?
Please tell us what live promotions you have seen Qode working on other then the one in the local paper for the auto business. I havent seen a single announcement where any major brand has signed up to use it yet other then the book its being published in. Have You seen any news of any brand using Qode yet? And I am not talking about airclic or Virgin that we know of for years now.
why dont you watch their wag the qode PC from wink tv 3 years ago and tell me if this one is any different. Its on their website if I am not mistaken, as well as one with NBC I believe. And 3 years later the dog(I MEAN QODE) is still wagging isnt it?
Did you actually see them scan anything in real time and show you the results in that video? Its no different then the one they did in 2003 and is on their website for viewing, yet 3 years later can you click the symbols they are talking about? Those so called smart codes?
No at this time it dont even work on all cell phone platforms, yet they talk in the video the same way they did years ago, as if the technology is already available for use. Can you read a QR code with it. The answer is simple.just ask JP you CAN NOT. Can you go in a grocery store today and click any barcode and get the results you want? NO YOU CANT.
Talk is cheap, and the talk in that video is quite misleading when Fritz say you can now click on barcodes and get information. Are the bar codes turned on yet?....I dont think so.
So lets keep things real here huh, especially wqhen every one here knows this technology isnt working yet, contrary to the implications in the video that it is.
yeah it does work both ways, but you are speaking to the wrong choir arent you?
HAVE YOU EVER SEEN A POST OF MINE ASKING ANOTHER POSTER HOW MANY SHARES THEY OWN OR WHAT THEIR MOTIVES ARE?
I DIDNT THINK YOU HAD, so I guess I can preach to the choir here that are guilty since my hands are clean huh?
MM's dont mess with looking for cheap shares, especially in a penny stock that has little to no institutional ownership or interest.
Some here need to do some real DD on MMs. They dont hold shares of a company, they move them from one trader to the other and keep the spread. They wont even hold a google and you think they are buying and holding NEOM?
For the record, the only time MMs are looking for cheap shares is if they already have a buyer lined up wanting them at a set price, and in this stock I doubt that is the case.
And asking the question by itself normally in my opinion woiuld be acceptible. But as you know no one in this forum just asks the question, they go on with commentary about what they think the posters motives are. That makes such a post even more so a clear violation of IHUB rules. Just asking the question by itself i could live with, but not the trash that is posted here in conjunction with the question.
And I guess you know asking the question is a violation of IHUB rules right? Maybe thats why you dont get an answer, because its none of your business, just like its none of anyone elses business whether you have shares or not. But thats beside the point, and probably one of the reasons why its a TOS violation.
Its funny how some of you dont understand that simple fact and have to keep being reminded by others that posts that only address an individual poster and not NEOM are not allowed. But thats the role of a pumper isnt it? To take the focus off the negatives and try to shift the focus on the individual poster.
While you are chuckling why dont you explain why the pps is where its at now, when so many of you predicted other wise for the past 12 months, and those you are chuckling at have been more right then you or any other long on this board. And thats a fact.
Exactly Movieguy. And without the database, and entering images as you go or sign on new clients will take how many years to develope the technology to the point that you can walk around clicking codes with your camera? Several years right? Or is NEOM going to sign up all these clients overnight. So just when will the technology really be mainstream? By the time it gets there it will be the end of the patent lifespan. I think it took Japan what 5 years with QR codes?
And the fact remains as I pointed out that database has to be made. Whether its gradual as you suggest or otherwise. And that was my point to begin with, for visual recognition it will take a long time for it to become mainstream.
Yes there will be the campaign here, and there, but thats a far cry from mainstream. By the time that technology and the data base are built to support it, you might see QR codes on everything, that dont need symbol recognition data bases to decipher, they merely need a small program on the phone to decipher the URL.
Hahaha..thats funny. Unlike some here, I own my home and everything in it and all my vehicles and equipment. So dont worry about paying my bills for me cause they dont exist except the regular monthly bills for utilities. And I have those covered as well so dont fool yourself, that I need money from posters on a message board to get by. If that were the case I probably would of been living under a bridge some where a long time ago.
And by the way I dont rent, I own.....LMAO
Jonsie your interpretation of what he was saying and mine obviously differed.
But on your point about the negativity getting old, why doesnt the lies get just as old huh?
When someone states QODE can read all bar codes, and physical objects etc, why dont you have the same problem with those outright lies, that may very well mislead an unknown investor, who doesnt have the DD skills of you and others here?
I could care less if you and others wish to put me on iggy, and you dont need to keep stating your intents here, cause I for one dont ccare, and my posts are not intended for you anyhow. My posts are intended for the new investors that might come along and see the misinformation posted here daily. The regulars here I could care less about.
NOW do you have something to post ON TOPIC?
Before you make accusations ask yourself one simple question. Can MOBOTS technology recognize and identify every physical object from a picture at this time? The answer is simple no it can not. So its not an assumption I was making its a fact at this time. And you can find that fact on MOBOTs own web site if you look hard enough. And if MOBOT doesnt even have that capability to date, then its a fact that QODE doesnt have it either. Matter of fact QODE cant recognize any physical objects at this time can it? If that information is wrong please provide us a link that disputes it. I dont think you can do that. So that piece of the puzzle is also a fact at this time and not an assumption, right?
I wouldnt laugh to loud if I were you. NEOM does not have access to Googles databases, and words are simple to reproduce into a data base. Its just a matter of typing them on a keyboard, so a massive word data base is easy to establish with enough time.
Physical objects is a whole different ball game. NEOM has to take the pictures or have them supplied by vendors to add them to the data base. And yes thats how it will work, even according to NEOM. If you take a picture of a ford mustang with your camera, NEOMS data base will have to have a picture of a ford mustang in it to match the two pictures to send you to the right URL.
If you are suggesting that the pictures be associated with keywords that wont work. It will have to match your picture to their picture.
And I dont get your clue either. Who is talking about key word searches? That is a diffeerent data base then visual recognition or pictures isnt it? Each picture you take of an object has to on a server have a URL of that specific picture, so it sends you to the right website. A computer cant determine that a picture of a mustang, is in fact a mustang to take you to fords mustang web page. Unless of course you the user after taking the picture tagged it with a keyword like mustang. And if thats the case why bother taking the picture? Just type in the keyword mustang to go to the sitre, since you would have to type it anyway to identify whats in the picture, RIGHT?
By the way PEEVEECEE, I might add that NEOMs Qode does not have visual recognition of objects at this time as was stated in the post I replied to. MOBOTs technoilogy has this capability, but as far as we know at this time, MOBOTS technology has not been incorporated into NEOMs technology, and at this time only compliments it. And having said that even MOBOT acknowledges its technology cant recognize all physical objects yet. It dont even come close to recognizing them all.
So the safe conclusion to draw is that QODE cannot at this time recognize any physical object as was stated as fact by the poster I responded to. Mobots technology cant even recognize them all at this time, and theres no telling when that will be integrated into QODE.
PEEVEECEE......thats simple. For NEOM to have this DATA base set up and loaded thay would have had to take pics of every object in the real world and loaded them into the data base. Do you really think they have had the time or resources to accomplish that mammoth task, when they dont even have QODE working on all phones yet? How many millions of pictures you think they need to set up this data base, from everything from a safety pin to a wallet to who knows what else. How many different phtsical objects are there in the world now days? Billions? And you really believe NEOM has pics of all opf them set up in their database?
It used to be 17 years for intellectual patents but now all patents are good for 20 years under the new rules adopted a few years ago.
Was my post about bar codes or QR codes? I think it was about QR codes, which NEOM has no patents on. As for reading the patents, please explain what you are reading in the first patent that pertains to QR codes?
The information you copied and pasted in this post I am replying to, discusses a decoder as a microprocessor in a COMPUTER. Last I checked a cell phone doesnt qualify as a computer yet. Not only that they are referring to the resolution servor(computer) and a little later on they then state the data is then sent to the client(users)COMPUTER for display. Did you miss that part? That initial patent by the way was filed back in 1995, when not even the company knew CELL PHONES would be available for PC. Thats why years later they said that the cell phones coming into existence with cameras opened new doors for them. So surely you arent suggesting the original patent addressed cell phone camera phones are you? It addressed COMPUTERS which were available at that time.
"""""the requested file is obtained from file storage and generation means 50, and sent to the client computer via the Internet for display to the user on the browser 40.""""
And very slowly once again I will explain you are wrong. Qode can not even take a picture of a QR code as we speak can it? They intend to adopt it to all codes in the future, but IT CAN NOT READ THEM AT THIS TIME.
And all these pictures and regular barcodes you mention will have to be entered into a massive data base and then linked to specific URL web sites, and at this time that data base does not include every barcode or picture as best anyone know here does it? Does NEOM have the data base set up so that if you take a picture of a basketball it will take you to the NY NIcks site? Or maybe the picture of the basketball will take you to Sports Authority? No one at this time knows where any picture would take you, and I am very confident NEOM does not have the massive data base set up and all pictures loaded that would need to be there to take you to all these different websites.
Do you have information the rest of the world dont have, that proves this to be false?
Instead of stating that certain posters are exposing wrong information, why dont you address that information if its wrong, and not limit your post to the poster themselve?
You and no one here has a clue to date what role NEOM will play in this convergence, so all your posts are just as speculative as the ones you claim to be putting out wrong information. If QR codes become the standard, which I believe they will that leaves NEOM out in the cold so to speak. Yes they will still have a market but not the market you and others are dreaming about. And the only way to know is with time as this stuff developes. Right now NEOM can not even operate on all the different cell phone platforms, let alone read all the different codes already in use. And even your own friend states that QR codes are huge in Japan, which is not NEOMs IP. So only time will tell where NEOM will stand in the mix of things and just how big a player they will be. And keep in mind the company said last night its a couple years away in the US and the time is ticking on their initial patents filed in 1995 and already 11 years old.
Drmyke........I dont think you understood his questions which are very valid ones at that.
Yes QR codes are used extensively throughout Japan, but that is not NEOMs technology. Their Qode can not even read a QR code yet either, and by the time it can everyone and their brother will have applications out that can read that code.
The issue is, will QR codes become the standard here in the US like they have in Japan. With much of our trade coming into the country from Asia, you can bet we will be seeing a lot of QR codes on incoming products in the future. That might lead the Googles and MSFTs to adopt QR codes as well to be consistent. If that becomes a reality NEOM will be a small time player in that market.
Remember again NEOMs patents do not include codes that have the URL directly embedded in them. NEOMs patents require the code be sent to a resolution servor to be converted into a URL.
And how many advertisers do you expect already have registered keywords with the likes of Google and MSFT and all the other search engines? I bet a whole bunch. So the keyword search is already in place, and with the addition of QR codes to put on products, they wont need NEOMs IP to bring the user directly to content. The user will be able to take a pic of a QR code(not neoms IP) to go directly to a product, or they can type in an al;ready registered search keyword to go directly to a product through the major search engines servors.
And if you read the transcript from last nights TV interview, again the company says its a couple years away in the US. By then I think you will see QR codes as the standard, mainly due to our overseas trading, and the fact that QR codes are so big in these overseas countries already.
And by the way Claw, I guess every public company is as confused as NEOM was in that PR because they all file with the SEC when an agreement is reached, in advance of the closing. And they state in that filing approximately when they expect the closing to occur. Go look at some of the filings for NON penny stocks like ETrade etc and they apparently are just as confused occording to your theory. And to go a step further didnt NEOM file the agreements with all the other acquisitions with the SECX well ahead of the actual closings. I thought so.
The pump that goes on unsubstantiated is ulterior isnt it? The MFST deals, and the 1.00 pps and all the other trash that dont have a bit of facts to support it?
I hadnt got to his post yet when I replied to the post I replied to becausae while I was out there was so much garbage posted to wade through. But thanks for the reminder.
Thanks Jonsie...yes it was me and I detailed exactly how many shares would be needed to compensate in stock if these companies agreed to take stock over cash, and at the then share price. But we still have seen nothing to indicate any of these companies have agreed to take stock in lieu of cash. And we know some at mobot will not take stock.
No its not just for Gavitec. 4 Of the acquisitions got guaranteed share prices, and none of them have recieved any shares yet.
One reason is probably because new investors come along daily and weekly, and some info is critical and worthy of repeating. You see the critical stuff that dont shed a positive light on NEOM dont get a special spot in the header, and new investors arent going to read thousands of posts to try to dig this info out. Maybe the moderators should include links in the header to this info, like they do the pump posts?
Read the agreements. NEOM guaranteed a share price to the acquired companies. And its not the same for each one.
As to the one year that is governed by the SEC. Any stock issued becomes sellable in 1 year, even if the registration statement isnt filed yet. Until then its restricted if there is no registration statement.
They can become sellable before the year is up. Its when the registration statement is approved or 1 year, which ever happens first. So it could be in the next couple weeks they have to make up the difference if the SEC approves the S-3 that was filed about a month ago. And a month or so is generally about the appropriate time frame.
KOKO its not your job to decide what questions can be asked or what tactics one uses to convey their message as long as its in compliance with Matts rules. To suggest you are watching for alterior motives means you cant post here either because you and every long here has an alterior motive.
Shares were not distributed yet. They were just filed with the SEC for approval last month and we have not heard that the S-3 has been approved yet. However when they do distribute those shares upon approval, they have to make up the difference between the about .38 guaranteed share price and the now .08 share price.
The definitive purchase agreement is signed a month before the closing., and you knew what we were talking about. The final contracts are signed at the closing and the money is exchanged and ownership is exchanged. Before that date there has to be some kind of agreement on the terms, so the financial institutions can prepare their forems, the attorneys can prepare their forms, and the buyer can do the due diligence to make sure that everything within the company is as stated in the purchase agreement.
IS THAT CLEAR ENOUGH? Where is the PURCHASE AGREEMENT that precedes the closing by weeks to months? The same one the company acknowledged has to be executed, even if you think there dont have to be one until closing day? Go tell the financial institution funding the acquisition they will get a copy on closing day, and see if the money is there to close. I bet it wont be.
And you got one thing right anyway. Without any signatures on a definitive purchase agreement, there will be no agreement, and hense no closing later this month.
You cant look at a deal after it closes, its too late then. When the closing happens the deal is over with. And you cant close a deal without first having a contract signed by both parties. That contract is known as the definitive purchase agreement that was supposed to be signed by the 27th of last month. Once those terms are agreed to by both parties, the 8-k is filed with the SEC in advance of the closing date, not on the closing date.
