keeping a positive attitude today people
Could you educate me on how one goes about calculating a value to the gas competent of the deal? It's outside my realm of expertise, which just to clarify is healthcare-related, not oil or engineering.
Please refrain from asking me about drug stocks though because I hate them usually.
Oh sure, and I mean shoot a tenth of that would change some lives.
Geez o pete's if I didn't think this stock was a 3-5 bagger post earnings I would sell it simply out of boredom...
Stay tuned.
Anybody else out there holding their breath?
Haha!
Finally on the right end of that market correction.
Still holding long and strong.
News soon I suspect.
By soon I mean within a month or 2.
But it will be meaningful.
Disclosure: I am long WGAS.
However, I feel that this way unrealistic.
I like to stay positive and thanks for the calculations,
but...
1. That does not factor in debt re payments (several millions)
2. That assumes no more dilution (which we've seen already)
3. That assumes reserves (which are most likely slightly overestimated, but I am more positive about this than some of the posters who would have you think all 140 are dry)
Actually great strides have been made in the field of well estimation in the past couple years.
My one professor showed me an example in which a dye is placed in the well, allowed to distribute and dilution, then a concentration sample is taken and the more dilute the dye is the more volume you have.
4. That assumes oil prices. Which actually could go either way.
5. That assumes no sale from management
Anyway all I am saying is 100 things would need to go right and 0 things go wrong.
Ah... so much negativity I'm sorry.
Why am I long this stock then?
Well, there are still a few things I like.
1. OTC QB
2. Fresh management involvement
3. Equity based deal
4. Insanely small market cap. I mean with their debt and what it looks as though they are trying to swing. The company will either put the company out of business or into the stratosphere.
5. Rough past, much negativity. This is something I actually like. Everybody bashing Volk. Typing scam this scam that. Lol, it's probably easier to be an overweight American in your basement and troll message boards than it is to run a fully transparent oil and gas exploration company I suppose. Keep that price down. Most of them are salty about ending up on the wrong end of a flip scheme. That isn't investing to me. That is gambling and there is a difference.
6. No short interest? At least I don't think there is. I wouldn't want to short this stock. What happens when a bouncy ball hits the floor anyway?
Anyways I am starting to rant, and I'm sure I will generate plenty of bashers anyway so I'll leave it at that.
Bottom line, I think it's worth a shot for the turnaround story.
Long WGAS.
"Be fearful when others are greedy and greedy when others are fearful" - Warren Buffett
Brad PhD
I agree completely.
Sometimes I feel the manipulators (i mean makers...)can almost start a bear raid on a low volume day by keeping the spread huge.
Discourages buying.
The other day when it was down around 10% or more I was afraid it was gonna fall through the floor.
Support in the 17s brought it back.
However a colleague of mine noticed a dealer trend.
Since we saw 30 cents the stock has been slowly, yet steadily and at some points nearly predictably on the decline.
Many people are not long this stock. They bought in the teens or lower.
Naturally they will sell in the 30s and upper 20s.
However, this drop in value would be much more pronounced and dramatic if there wasn't some buying down the slide.
Some entity has probably been loading the boat on the way down with millions of shares.
The day it spiked down was the day the powers that be said "that's enough buying".
Remember once they own a certain percentage of the company (and honestly I'm not sure how much that is)
They would have to announce it publicly. They neared the threshold and stopped.
Motivation for a company doing something like this would be so that when the buyout occurs they have fewer stock to pay the premium rate to, whatever that may be.
Oh really?
I think we can all agree the assets involved are valuable and that's what matters.
Surprised this stock isnt getting more attention.
That news was huge!
I have a not so radical theory.
The potential buy out company has been soaking up stock
for awhile now.
I have some circumstantial evidence if anybody is interested.
Pretty uneventful week.
Next week hopefully.
I'm getting the impression that ADR is another way of saying "venture capitalist Charlie Adams"
Quick buck?
Dude they hardly got any cash, and gave premo real estate.
Unlikely theory.
I know there is much Volk distrust on this board, but maybe he was having his strings pulled by ADR to arrange share structure for the deal on the 12th.
?
Maybe I'm going out on a limb.
Still, I have a positive opinion on all of this cause there is another company involved ha.
ADR must have faith they can get out of the debt loop or they never would have accepted an equity offering IMO
Yea I've played out that scenario in my mind's eye too.
That's part of the reason I bought was a turnaround story.
You guys MUST all be right.
WGAS is a terrible stock.
It's so bad I would only be willing to trade 140 shallow oil wells
for 35 million shares of what will eventually be worthless.
Curious offer?
Also if I bought awhile back I might not be so entertained having to
deal with Volk's often questionable calls.
I do agree there.
However, that's all in the past.
I still like the stock overall with fresh management behind the wheel.
Hello all,
new to this stock, but everything I read - I like.
The intriguing thing to me is any deal in which
management wants equity, rather than cash upfront.
Now that's confidence.
Look at the assets acquired...
Going long!
oh sure I agree.
Also look at the spreads...
I smell market manipulation lol.
I plan on loading up if the ask drops another cent or so.
i agree absolutely.
It's gonna fall through the floor if we dont get news soon...
It's just so hard resisting the urge to cash in long-term
gains on this one. Until the potential buyout, all I
see is this stock bleeding money weekly.
I'm begrudgingly keeping the faith in the BOD.
I reasoned through it in a similar way dude.
All that needs to happen is some news and get the
old volume back.
Also if those earnings are close to projections...
welcome to the show lemonade.
Yea I've had issues sitting at the ask too.
Oh well I have bunch now.
Earnings release soon!
"Hold on to your butts"
as Sam L Jackson would say.
Haha
The company only said sometime in March as far as I know
Can anybody explain to me the 2.1 million share at 0.05 sell
On jan 15 from cd international?
It's under sec disclosure on OTC.
I still don't see how this stock is so cheap...
Looking at their revenue and assets and market cap.
Everybody's holding their breath for the 2013 financials probably.
I see.
And yea, I suppose he wouldn't have to forfeit anything.
He can still hold the stock.
Curious is all.
I'm not getting cold feet. I believe in what we have.
Plus my first 50k shares are about to go long term.
You sir got yourself a bargain IMO.
Hold on to your hat next week.
Wonder why that Carl guy resigned if a buyout is so allegedly close?
Starting the earnings report party a little early eh?
Haha.
I'm keeping the faith.
I hope when it's all said and done we will all learn a valuable lesson.
investments are held. When they drop they are held or more are bought.
Won't be long know.
I think it will get back to 30 cents and far above.
This dump always tends to happen prior to earnings release.
Which really isn't smart if you're an actual investor, but if you're a day
trader it makes sense.
Sell it down to 12 from 14 or 15, and buy it back.
Lather. Rinse. Repeat.
I'm in at 13-14 cents. In my opinion this is where I hold or get one
last buy in, as earnings come out most likely next week.
I repeat, if audited earnings are even NEAR where forecasted
I see a big jump in the near future.
In my opinion is all.
I don't know what day that will come out, only that it will be this month sometime.
I suspect there is a bit of day trading right now manipulating the price a bit.
No matter, .125 is a steal if that earnings report works out.
Huh?
Maybe so,
Low volume though.
Would have to be nearly all "buys" hitting the ask price to sustain the upshift.
I'd like to see us in the 20s by March at which point things could get interesting.
Overall, though not a bad day. I'd buy up through the teen into the 20s though. Patience will pay off with this one.
Agreed. Get some interest from some bigger investors to buy back some of the dumpage over the past
Couple months. The huge thing though in my opinion is if they did do a deal with a well known American company it would be much easier to verify the terms of agreement and legitimacy of BIGG. Because at that point a company with better investor disclosure would be involved providing updates to their own shareholders.
Hello all,
I've owned this stock going on a year now and it's been fun
so far but we are just getting warmed up.
I've enjoyed all the commentary.
Wasn't today a great day?
No? Ha, time to load up again next week.
The tech field is getting more and more competitive.
VPLM WILL be bought.
This recent news only makes me think it will be even
more than 2-4 billion.
VPLM board knows they need to move too before litigation
gets involved.
Yea I know what you mean.
I got a hold of them at the international number provided,
but they couldn't really answer any questions.
There was a language barrier issue.
I did confirm they had a booth at the show too.
Still it does get shadier than the QB, so I'm still hoping
it is a lack of publicity issue.
Possible dilution and sell off / profit taking issue?
Also there is a TON of market manipulation be the market makers
on this one if you watch the spreads.
Regardless, I agree with the post that said this isn't a quick flip at this point. The volume isn't there.
I am patient though.
Quiet accumulation and wait for March.
I was wondering the same exact thing.
Only thing I could figure out maybe was there was a sell of 2.1 mill shares on jan 15th.
Maybe dumping that into the float over time of a stock that's thinly traded anyway severely diluted it out?
Grasping at straws perhaps but they have a interesting story.
The misaudit doesn't scare me much.
I've owned plenty of companies that have done financial corrections to reports. It's not that uncommon. Especially if you're playing small ball.
Open to further commentary. I just want to get a good dialogue going
Sure, but many Chinese companies struggle with legitimacy issues.
Even truly legit ones.
Time will tell.
All I can say is if this info is accurate and not a bold face lie, we should see a correction in March once the 2013 report comes out.
I'm new to this stock but so far I like what I see.
I mean just look at where they have been recently.
March could be an interesting month if revenues from
13 go directly to plan.
We need more volume though.
Now I play the waiting game
