PPHM - Ken Dart just reported buying 7%+ of Peregrine Pharmaceuticals. This guy don't make no bad bets. Wonder what's up? I have had a small position in PPHM for several years, love the science.

Can someone explain what that means?
Magic
Spec, can't believe you moved. Curious where you wound up. Hope you stay in touch with your source and continue to share.

Never mind, decided to do some reading:
The Board believes that the Reverse Stock Split is an effective means of increasing the per share market price of our Common Stock in order to achieve the minimum per share stock price necessary to qualify for listing on well-recognized stock exchanges, such as the American Stock Exchange or the Nasdaq Capital Market. The Board will only effect the Reverse Stock Split in connection with an application to list our Common Stock on such stock exchanges. It will not effect the Reverse Stock Split for any other purpose.
The RS being done for an uplist, or what?

Ya'll should find this interessting, Stanton's world collapsing:

So is this just "sell the news" pullback? 10Q looked good to me.
Magic
Are you overlooking the reverse split that HDY did?? Wake me up when the gap at $1.45 is close to filling. Until then I'll just hang in here with my ERHE shares.
Magic
For whatever it's worth, I disagree with the ideaa that they will acquire or otherwise merge with a bank. If you think SEC regs are a bitch, try dealing with state & Fed bank regs and examiners! Lee knows banking, and believe me, he does NOT want this moneymaking gem to fall under the scrutiny of bank regulators. There well may be some other sort of r/m or other combo in the works, but I'll wager heavily that it will NOT be with a bank.
Magic
Is that for real or just in your dreams. If real, that could get very interessting indeed.
Magic
So these are new shares, adding to the OS total, not bought from some existing shareholder as previously conjectured.
Magic
me too.
magic
Where did the 5.5M shares come from??

Use this, it's free and real time:

Aristo, thanks. Since this only happens when I am on IHUB, I assumed there was some association, so didn't occur to me it was a virus. Have checked out the links and will apply the solution that has worked for others.
Thanks, Magic
There's a huge difference between the daily short report and the actual total. The daily is always way wrong because it shows all trades for the day that have not yet been settled, which is most of them.
The real monthly short info for HTLJ is found here:
http://www.otcmarkets.com/stock/HTLJ/short-sales
As you can see, there are basically ZERO short positions.

Here's another one that comes up often today:
http://ads.adsonar.com/adserving/getAds.jsp?previousPlacementIds=
Some days, including today, I get switched to a google ad website while reading a message, have to click "back" to correct it. I notice that this seems to happen when an ad is still loading. I have updated my browser (IE8) with no help. Any thoughts?? Here is one of the links it pops over to:
http://$pixelhost/serve/fb/pdc?uatFilter=true
Thanks for any help, this is very annowing and has been going on for quite some time.
Magic
mto, at this point, i seriously doubt that you could get a positive charge from a lightening bolt!
Enercom are a bunch of hired hacks who will try as hard as possible to repair the damage to the credibility of this company which has been caused by years of mismagagment. Their ability to do the said repairs remains highly questionable since the same folks who destroyed it are still in charge.
Hey buddy, ygm @yahoo.
Magic
Krom, the warrants cannot be sold. They can be exercised and the stock sold, they can be shorted against (tho not used to cover), but they are not tradeable without exercising, so we will get notice if that happens.
Magic
Entdoc, thanks for the primer. I obviously need all the help I can get.
Magic
No man is so blind as he who will not see.
I have already explained to you that the total cost of the shares obtained thru the exercise of the warrants will be $0.28 per share, so anything above that is profit.
Never mind. Sorry I ever mentioned the whole deal. Have it your way.
Magic
Any ideas on why the sudden volume today? And green at that!!!
Magic
Krom, you are normally a bit more on-the-ball than today. You are doubling the cost of the warrants for no reason. The $1,900,000 is the TOTAL cost, period. Second, Mid is not talking about shorting the warrants themselves, he is talking about shorting common shares, and having the warrants as insurance against a rise in the stock price.
Magic
Krom, the total cost to exercise is $1,900,000, which gets the buyer 6,785,714 shares at a net cost to them of $0.28 per share. Any sale of the shares above .28 would be profitable to them.
Magic
Thanks Jessme, I'm sure I knew that a some time long ago, but have been here so long my memory is failing. Still, tho, is there any reason Cotara would not work well on other types of solid tumors?
Magic
The warrants ARE free, they are exercisable at .28, but cost nothing until they are exercised.
They will have recovered all of their expense from the sale of the shares, and then can sit on the free warrants. If the stock goes over .28 anytime in the next five years they can exercise the warrants and sell to take their profit. I would do that deal in a heartbeat. The only snag would be if the shares were restricted, but I don't recall seeing that.
Magic
Has the PIPE buyer been selling off the shares at breakeven, and holding the warrants as their free ride??
Magic
Isn't Cotara just Bavi armed with a radioactive isotope? If so, is there any reason this wouldn't work just as well on other tumors? Am I missing something here? Info from some of the much more knowledgeable posters here would be appreciated.
TIA, Magic
We have been nearly completely desensatized over the last few years.

For once, ponzi has a point. The PR states that the strike price for the warrants is $0.28:
HOUSTON, TX, Oct 07, 2010 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) -- ERHC Energy Inc. ("ERHC"
or the "Company") (OTCBB: ERHE), a publicly traded American company with oil and
gas assets in the highly prospective Gulf of Guinea off the coast of West Africa, today announced that it has entered into a definitive agreement with an institutional investor for a registered direct placement of approximately $2.0
million of common stock at a price of $0.22 per share. The Company will issue a total of 9,090,910 shares to the institutional investor.
In addition, the Company will issue to the investor warrants to purchase shares of common stock, which, if fully exercised, would provide an additional $1.9 million in gross proceeds to the Company. The warrants have an exercise price of $0.28 per share and are exercisable for a five (5) year period commencing on the
closing date.
HOWEVER, the SEC filing does, in fact, show an excercise price of $0.028. While I believe the PR is most likely the correct info, there is a definite discrepancy here!!!!

Have I mentioned how badly I think this deal SUCKS??!!
Whether entirely on the up-and-up, or entirely in the company's best interest, on first blush, it SUCKS, ROYALLY!!!!
Management knew, or certainly should have known, what this deal wouuld do to the pps. In spite of that, they proceeded, costing the shareholders tens of $millions in real value. And all we got for our lost value is a bullchit explanation that says nothing.
I do not intend to let this slide. If some sort of decent justification is not provided soon.....
Magic
My opinion, for what it's worth: At first blush, this deal SUCKS, ROYALLY!!! After considering the various scenarios presented here, such as payoffs, acquisitions, etc, etc, this deal SUCKS EVEN WORSE!!
There better be a damn good explanation coming soon, with a distinct benefit for the common shareholders, or this could be the tipping point.
Magic
I am in, as of last Friday. Sorry folks, that is usually a definite signal that the price will tank immediately.
Thanks Threeflight, I hope.
Magic
Thanks, I will look into them both.

Please name two or three of those, I want to buy shares, or maybe the whole company!!
