The very recent news from California, for anyone who might possibly have somehow missed it, or closed their eyes to it:

3 DNA test firms get state OK
Friday, August 22, 2008
San Francisco Business Times
http://sanantonio.bizjournals.com/sanfrancisco/stories/2008/08/25/story8.html
Genetic testing firms DNA Direct, Navigenics Inc. and 23andMe Inc. have the state Public Health Department’s swab of approval.
The Bay Area companies are the first to get the state’s OK after 14 firms were told in June to halt their direct-to-consumer genetic testing services. State officials said they wanted companies to prove that the labs that receive DNA-laden cheek swabs or blood samples are certified by the state or federal government and that individual tests are ordered by a doctor.
The cease-and-desist letters came against the backdrop of a push to allow consumers access to their own medical information and to make treatment decisions for themselves — so-called personalized medicine. That’s put regulators, doctors, insurers, consumers and a new wave of biomedical technology companies — many of which reach consumers via the Internet — into conflict.
California has one of the most stringent genetic testing standards, requiring a doctor’s order for tests for a genetic predisposition to a disease.

DNA Direct Now Offers Genetic Genealogy Testing

Also, who is DNA Direct:
http://www.dnadirect.com/patients/about/experts.jsp
And:
http://www.dnadirect.com/patients/tests/genealogy_testing/selecting_our_preferred_providers.jsp
Salient excerpts:
"DNAPrint is a DNA Direct preferred provider for autosomal ethnicity testing. DNAPrint offers the AncestryByDNA 2.5, EurasianDNA 1.0, and EuroDNA 2.0 tests that use innovative, cutting-edge technology to examine single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) ancestry informative markers along all 22 non-sex chromosomes. These ancestry tests can be used to determine the anthropological origins of an individual's ancestry."
"Choosing the right ancestry testing company for your needs is not easy when there are over 20 different companies providing a wide range of genetic tests. DNA Direct has spent over six months comparison shopping and consulting with experts to choose the best ancestry tests currently available and the most reliable companies to provide them."
Ah... I just love good news! Especially good news about a stock I own!
At least I can honestly say, I put my money where my mouth is. (I'll leave the rest of this message to the imagination.)
"frogdreaming,"
That is patently untrue.
Are you not acknowledging the latest news from California? (That DNA Direct was chosen as one of the three companies, out of fourteen, allowed to do direct to consumer sales and marketing of ancestry tests, there. Very meaningful for this stock, because DNA Direct very carefully chose DNAPrint Genomics for their autosomal tests. And California is not a market to sneeze at.)
Even when the good news came out about the DNA Direct partnership, and Bioserve as well, you seemed to just ignore it all, preferring to beat that same tired old drum. As is the case when each piece of good news comes out, big or small. I suppose they could be given a massive governmental contract, or something equally momentous, and you would post the same things as always. I do not assign any credence to a one-track record that is constantly negative beyond belief, ignores every positive thing that comes along, and attacks every positive statement that anyone might make. *Especially* not in the stock market!

An article about DNAPrint Genomics and their amazing technological success in the real world, from Wired Magazine, that some may not have seen:
The Inconvenient Science of Racial DNA Profiling
By Melba Newsome 10.05.07
http://www.wired.com/print/science/discoveries/news/2007/10/dnaprint
Brief excerpt: "... the task force sent Frudakis DNA swabs taken from 20 people whose race they knew and asked him to determine their races through blind testing. He nailed every single one."
Also, if they weren't qualified, they wouldn't be seeing such high success rates in blind ancestry testing (20 out of 20 correct in one test, in connection with law enforcement,) or helping to catch any killers whatsoever, would they? Maybe they are totally incompetent, and yet somehow achieve amazing techological feats?
The press, their partners and distributors, and the State of California (in the context of approving DNA Direct for direct sales, and DNA Direct previously very carefully chose DNAPrint Genomics for their autosomal tests,) have apparently given them very meaningful approval.
What about the good news that keeps coming out?
For those who aren't aware of the Forensic Files "Good as Gold" episode, which highlighted the success of DNAPrint Genomics' cutting-edge forensics product, in helping to catch a killer, please follow this link:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&safe=off&q=%22forensic+files%22+%22good+as+gold%22+frudakis
Also, the partnership with DNA Direct, and with Bioserve, the recent news from California, the long list of distributors that Sam has discovered, all the press reports that refer to DNAPrint Genomics' products as "cutting edge," the revenue streams they have forged, etc. As the positive news comes out, we merely see more posts aimed at casting a negative light on DNAPrint Genomics.
Luckily, we readers/investors are all free to make up our own minds. Yellow journalism and unfounded conspiracy allegations, or actual good news, which to believe? I know which I believe.
So you aren't saying their salaries were "obscene." Then why imply it?
I wasn't aware of it, or I had forgotten. It occurred before I first bought any DNAG shares, around the middle of last year. After several tries with Google, I finally found a reference to it:
http://findarticles.com/p/articles/mi_pwwi/is_200703/ai_n18754923
"We have sold the Biofrontera shares during late 2006 and early 2007 to give us some much-needed short-term funding. We have received proceeds of $1.8 million through February and will receive 500,000 euros (approx. $0.6 million) a month from March through September and 443,240 euros (approximately $.6 million) in October. This will provide us with a source of funding until we get additional funding secured. We hope to have a funding strategy in place by the second half of 2007 which will alleviate the financial burden on DNAPrint(TM) Genomics, Inc.," stated Mr. Gabriel."
My reference to Biofrontera shares was, according to what I knew at the time, correct. I now know it was an error. My apologies. I do not ever deliberately post anything that is incorrect. It's a discipline I pride myself on.
Congrats! Good luck to us! I think this stock has enormous potential.
Oh, we could have. I must have forgotten.
I ask everyone who has info that may help DNAPrint Genomics in this matter, to please email me privately:

DNAPrint Genomics is obviously a legitimate company, with real products, real distributors, real intellectual property, real assets (including Biofrontera shares,) and real notable achievements -- even a Forensic Files episode showcasing their technology, and its success ("Good as Gold" episode.) Not to mention, they do hard work, with talent, and are very persistent, including in the face of adversity, showing an obvious energy in forming new partnerships, etc.
The press consistentently calls their techologies "cutting edge," because they have earned that label. They have achieved and maintained that level of technical superiority.
I am not convinced, at all, that DNAPrint Genomics was ever a "scam" or engaged in any illegal practices, whatsoever. They don't fit the pattern of a scam company.
Yet another tiny sell. Relatively miniscule, compared to the larger transactions we've seen.
"Stockboy,"
Do you think qualified, talented, and hard-working scientists, should be forced to work for minimum wage? The salaries of DNAPrint's management have not been out of the ordinary, at all. Why imply otherwise?
We're still solidly above .0002. I view that as significant, especially as we've been seeing so much accumulation (and not only by me.)
Steinburger,
Good points. I fully agree.
During those "several years" the price was being very blatantly manipulated downward! You expect insiders to throw their money into such a manipulation trap? Get real.
bag8ger, Exactly!
We've got them now!
I've given it some thought, and I think this manipulation we're seeing likely has something to do with DNAG being on the Naked Short List for 13 consecutive trading days. I mean, there is an ongoing failure to deliver in shares that were sold short, which essentially means broker-dealers are being forced (by the SEC) to cover! And they may (apparently) be willing to break the law, by deliberately and directly manipulating share price down, in order to cover more cheaply, to avoid taking a loss! But we shareholders don't have to sell to them cheaply. We pick the price at which we will sell. These broker-dealers that have a failure to deliver, they're in the hot seat and they want out.

Just look at that abusive price manipulation! Tiny sells driving down price.
862 shares sold at .0003, at 11:04 AM today -- a measly 25.86 cents!
200 shares sold at .0003, at 12:16 PM today -- a miniscule 6 cents!
Compare to the high volume buying yesterday, all at .0004. Who keeps manipulating the price of this stock?
Where everyone can complain to the SEC:
SEC Complaint Center
http://www.sec.gov/complaint.shtml
(select "online forms" -> "Manipulation of security price or volume")
I just filed yet another complaint. If enough of us keep complaining, and pointing out the glaring evidence (including the obvious price manipulation and the industrial-scale bashing propaganda,) that should get their attention. If not, it will be time to contact the mass media, Congress, etc. (Big stink for a good cause.)
"frogdreaming," perhaps you haven't noticed, but we're going through a credit crisis (started as a housing crisis, but it's spread considerably beyond that.) Maybe they don't have as much spare personal cash as you assume. How do any of us know what their personal balance sheets look like? Also, one could argue they would have been foolish, to pour money into buying the stock, while it was aggressively and blatantly being manipulated downward. They could be taking a watch-and-wait approach, and will buy now that the stock has apparently bottomed. How do we know? At any rate, they own a lot of stock options, on top of the stock they own, it's not as though they're keeping their hands away from this stock. Note, I don't base my investment decisions on insider trades *(or lack thereof,) or conspiracy theories.
alterboy, Just click on the links that sam provided. You know, point the mouse, and click. Then read.
That would explain why all those distributors aren't listed there, then.
The DNAPrint website hasn't exactly been up-to-date in recent months, which is understandable, considering the financial pinch they're going through. I think that's the reason all those distributors aren't listed. It's great to get such positive news, coming from multiple third party sources. It's even harder for conspiracy-minded "critics" to claim it's a "lie," when all these companies are, themselves, saying they are distributing DNAPrint Genomics ancestry test kits.
Yes, I am proud to own this many DNAG shares. I don't try to hide it.
Did you ever stop to think, maybe they're in a financial pinch? (Which is why they've cut costs.) Their existing income streams may carry them through, especially now that they have so many distributors, and one of them (DNA Direct) is one of a select few (three,) that received the OK from the State of California.
Someone claimed, recently, that the board members were selling off their shares. As far as I can tell, that is a flat-out lie.
I obviously disagree. Someone having a negative attitude about a stock, does not make that stock worth zero, no matter how much that person may say, or wish, it is so.
I have no "insider information," as I have said before. Why would you allege otherwise? Is life one big conspiracy?
I'm proud to announce, I now own 98,555,503 shares of DNAG.
I have just submitted my Form 3 (Initial Statement of Beneficial Ownership of Securities) to Edgar.
Form 3 Receipt Date: 26-Aug-2008 14:52

Also, you have to realize something about good news and DNAG share price. In recent years, when good news came out (such as the DNA Direct partnership, for just one example,) the price tended to continue to plunge, despite the good news! That was as a result of manipulation and demoralization of the investors, not as legitimate price discovery. When investors saw this, they chose to stay the hell away. But now we've bottomed, in my opinion. We're staying above the .0002 lows, and someone(s) is keeping price down temporarily as accumulation happens. I've been accumulating, and continue to do so, but I never manipulate price.
What's been done to this stock is criminal. Anyone watching the discussion boards and the stock chart knows this. Blatant, blatant, blatant manipulation downward. Yet look at what it's doing now. Bottoming.
They aren't doing regular SEC filings, as a prudent cost-cutting measure. I'd rather they cut costs and continue operating, than to not cut costs, and end the whole thing as a result. They have income streams, and in a situation like this, that can easily make the difference (combined with cost cutting.)
I do not accept the idea that recent prices are reflective of value. We have seen _extremely_ blatant price manipulation (to the downside) combined with nonstop, industrial scale bashing. Price manipulation alone corrupts price discovery, and the bashing makes it even worse.
I consider DNAG to be the world's most undervalued stock.
Another thing, among those in the know, DNAPrint Genomics' ancestry tests are cutting edge. The State of California just gave their seal of approval to DNA Direct, and DNA Direct carefully chose DNAPrint Genomics for their autosomal tests. A very significant endorsement. There are many experts and reviewers who continue to similarly endorse DNAPrint Genomics' technologies, as being in the upper tier of the best, the cutting edge.
Also, I'm not forgetting the "Good as Gold" Forensic Files episode, from earlier this year, that showcased Frudakis' work, and the success in bringing a killer to justice, in the real world. Bash all you want, you cannot convince me to sell. I've never sold a single DNAG share. I continue to average down / accumulate.
Prudent cost-cutting is one reason. Staying the course and obviously expanding their distributor base, is another reason. Their cutting-edge technology and ingenuity, and willingness to keep trying no matter what the bashers might say, forging new partnerships and agreements, seeking new financing (and/or advantageous buyout, as the NNBP case showed,) are just a few reasons. DNAPrint is a bunch of hard workers with serious talent, that's why they're still around, and why the press consistently calls their technologies "cutting edge." How you can dis that day after day, is beyond me.
Those don't support your statements. How many "clowns" do you know that have managed to help solve murder cases? Or how many "clowns" have so many current distributors of their products? etc.
> Dgplexus outside of the share price and the last 8K I can't think of any explanations.
Thanks, PL. You have a great day, too.
Provide evidence to back these statements, or stop slandering.
> Biofrontera is a much better run company than DNAG. DNAG management are pretty much clowns.
Hello, Sam!
All I can say is, "Wow!"
Thanks for the additional links!
Many thanks for the links, Sam! Naturally, sales mean revenue, so that's very good news for DNAPrint Genomics. We're still in the running!
