BID/ASK spread is bigger now--MM profit?

I asked before, but what about the spread of bid/ask over the last few weeks?

Can we gather anything from this other than the market makers profiting MORE $ by creating a larger bid/ask spread?

So they cover by going to the BID side?---

not sure if this is even correct, but do market makers "know" the true value of a stock based off how it has traded.

for example, the last 4 weeks...alot of buys above where the current PPS is currently at...I assume they do.

With that said, is it likely to bring the PPS down and create as much of a sell off with the hopes of the shares going into their hands?

With the volume being as low as it has the last week or so and being far from recent prices, dont they want to make a market?--meaning bring this up to recent prices (after they're little shake) and even further above "knowing" the true value of the stock?

I guess its hard to imagine these MM's with as many trades that have taken place over the last few weeks dont have an idea of where this could go if they allow it----why wouldn't they allow it?--were they ready yet? did they not have the shares for the prices they knew would come if they let it go?----is that why its being walked down on low volume?

Make sense?
