I know of two family members by marriage and a third that was a friends brother that all passed from GBM within less than about 9 months ago.None were treated wwith dcvax one used the headgear
The best of luck to you and all longs !
I don’t know but I would guess that feature would be available single it is useful and essential to putting in your own online trades. I don’t have an Ameritrade account but others here do.
Scotty I posted a reply to another post that gives my rationale for why the options grants and timing is bullish, but hey this is all imho and I have been wrong before and certainly will be again in the future.
Glad you got that straightened out and fwiw I think you made the right decision to sell what you had to, rather than get even more leveraged to the timing of NWBO events and share price rises.
Anyone can keep self inflicting drama, however for myself I’m going to assume DI is giving the info as he knows it at this time, and look for nwbo to notify DL.
Tryn2, unfortunately to sell specific lots that is specified in the sale. I trade online and I can see and select the lots to be sold.
I reread the SEC Form 4 for Boynton’s 3 options grants filed July 2, 2020 and the footnotes all stated that the options had been grantable previously but were granted NOW.
So imho that implies a reason for granting the options now.
Logically, if the company (BOD) expected the nwbo stock price to go down from current levels there would be no point to doing the grants now.
OTOH if share price is expected to have a good probability of making a significant move and/or potential change of control also occurring then granting the options now establishes the exercise price in relation to the recent low share prices and sets up a maximum gain.
Also imho the options appear to be fully vested, which might imply certain milestone(s) for the accelerated vesting were deemed by the BOD to be met or some other rationale that the BOD based an accelerated vesting on.
IMHO the above is bullish as opposed to bulls__t !
I think that’s the default (first in/ first out) which uses the shares that were held from earliest, creating long term gains/losses for the sold shares that were held a year or longer.
Scotty are you feeling ok?
Did you actually post something positive or did I miss the sarcasm?
I guess the only conditions we can rule out are I and V (change of control, death) and the other accomplishments and the wildcard of the BOD discretion could apply. Those conditions are generally positive cases, however the options could also vest in time (the vesting period), thus the terminology of accelerated vesting in the paragraphs you posted.
That’s what it’s all about!
Shouldn’t it be possible to reference back the documents and filings to find the details of the stock options to look for TLD or other milestones related to the option awards?
When we get down “the long and winding road” to Dcvax-L approval, we longs might “come together” “and have some fun singing obla dee bla dah” to celebrate!
To dovetail with the short shills, Garth also sings “I’ve got friends in low places” however I nibbled some more shares of nwbo at .35 near the close today.
Good one!
Bringing this full circle back to the Beatles - "And in the end,
the love you take, is equal to the love, you make”
Yes, indeed, LP stood strong against each attack. She countered and stymied the hostile actions of a certain large investor and his cronies, who saw the potential in NWBO and tried to take it over for their interests. LP hasn’t always put shareholders first, bringing the dcvax platform technology to the fight against cancer is first. However she hasn’t put us last either. I lost money on another successful biotechnology many years ago because management sold early for peanuts accepting a lowball merger and feathering their best.
Happy Birthday! It would be a nice present if NWBO announces data lock today ??
It’s complete speculation however I wonder if he’s already benefited NWBO behind the scenes. For example has his affiliation given the nefarious ones, like that Phase V group, pause to not try hit pieces and other bogus actions. Also might his connections have enabled or facilitated things behind the scenes. And then there’s the benefits of his counsel on matters. You don’t get to be CIA director by having low intelligence.
Karlchen, Robert Johnson, Blind Lemon, Muddy Waters, Freddie King, Albert King, BB King, Luther Lassiter, Buddy Guy, Johnny Winter, Jimmy Hendrix, Stevie Ray Vaughn, Michael Bloomfield, Jimmy Page, Keb Mo, John Lee Hooker, Bonnie Raitt, Joe Bonomassa, Eric Clapton, and so many more blues greats, long live the blues!
Exactly, many times it’s who you know that gets you in, etc.
Estimates are estimates for a good reason. They are educated projections at a current time of what is going to happen in the future and how long each step and what dependencies and impacts other tasks and events are going to come into play. Some tasks and events are internal and you can have more control or influence on, and others are external, etc..
Project plans sometimes change based on what actually is happening.
I’m sure many people here have had direct experience in projects, including home projects.
S__t happens, might be a familiar refrain.
Ok, some are better at planning and estimating than others and some projects are more complex.
A first of a kind trial where even the FDA is learning along the way, and involving a tiny company that was an easy target for unfriendly interests, and not flush with cash, and we hold this company to our strict interpretation of their steps and milestones?
It’s quite an accomplishment to get across the finish line at all, and no doubt shareholders have been slighted along the way and strung along some to keep things going. How many of us would still be here if we thought the trial would be 10 years+ long. NWBO probably didn’t think it would be that long either when the trial was launched.
Anyway it is what it is, and what it has been. The success or failure of this trial is imminent and we all believe the shareholder outcome will be binary, whether a number of days or weeks longer. Success should be very rewarding and failure wipes this investment out.
Each one of us have to make our best decisions for our individual situation. I decided a number of years ago that I’d stick it out to the end, and celebrate or accept the losses unless it was clear the science wouldn’t be good enough.
GLTA
No I don’t think they were exercised, rather they were awarded and can be exercised within the terms of each options grant paying the exercise price at the time of exercise.
If I recall correctly by the time the halt was lifted it would have taken too long and additional expense to enroll and start the last 17 patients, so NWBO elected to just continue without.
The BP $ factor sounds like a valid concern to me.
What the FDA thinks and does is what will determine approval in the USA, and that is a risk that worries me because it is always possible to get an unfavorable decision “for whatever reason, just or not.” Especially in today’s climate of fake news and political and monetary influences. Hopefully the trial data will be strong enough to win the day.
The fact that there are 4 approval agencies, 3 others than the FDA, evaluating the same trial results means there are “multiple shots on goal,” and some self policing among the approval agencies since their decision will be seen and contrasted along with the others. Also since there would be a national competitive factor, the FDA and the other agencies have to think about disapproval of a meritorious treatment that may be available elsewhere and be shown of benefit elsewhere.
So I think LP and team were very strategic in doing a multinational trial.
The point regarding efficacy against particular subtypes being considered for approval is supported by the comment Dr LL made right after she stated everyone is living longer.
Paraphrasing, she said that there should be an approval path (which I took to mean at least for the subgroup(s) that appear to be benefiting like never before.
Yes agreed the NWBO leadership has the flexibility and the wealth to exercise some or all now and/or later. I guess they might have tax related benefits that what they exercise sooner creates a current taxable event based on the lower stock price, deferring the taxes on the hopefully large capital gains until the acquired shares are sold.
Here’s to hoping that important progress is made, and in ways that leverage our own immune system instead of attacking the good cells as well as the bad!
If the stock price stays at least above the exercise price then at some point for each holder, the options will be exercised, and no later than the expiration dates of the options.
I’m not the sharpest tool in the shed, but I think you’re being facetious, am I right?
No company awards options to the world just employees and directors.
Adding my 2 cents, I think it’s conjecture until combo trial results are obtained however it sounds like hope from the healthcare community that combo treatments might do better than the individual treatments. Merck is going to try with the combo trial that is supposed to happen, which I think is dcvax + CI, presumably attacking a person’s cancer with dcvax targeting the tumor targets while the checkpoint inhibitor hindering the cancer’s ability to deceive the immune system to look friendly rather than hostile to avoid immune system attack. Again I’m not an expert or practitioner so I could be off base.
The Car-T treatments appear to have some risk of bad reactions and morbidity for some patients according to what I’ve read, if I interpreted correctly. Maybe a combo might lessen the risk, maybe not, and maybe be more effective.
Regarding melanoma treatments I think I remember a trial out of Mt Sinai in NYC that involved an immunotherapy approach, but the news was from 1-2 years ago and I’m foggy as to whether it was melanoma. I know two people who have melanoma and appear to be living with ongoing checkups and surgeries/treatments, whereas i don’t think such was the case in the past. If I find something I’ll post it.
I’m glad you appreciate the inspiration!
The options are bullish for NWBO because the value of the options increase directly as the stock price increases, the higher the pps the higher the value of the options.
I don’t think the options were exercised, they were awarded in two grants. The options have exercise prices so the awardee has to pay the exercise price whenever they exercise any within the expiration period (10 years I think ) which if the shares increase like we believe assuming dcvax success, the exercise price could be less than a penny on the dollar.
Thanks, it took me a while to come up with it. The horse represents Dcvax and the CarT represents Car T treatment, so the thought was Dcvax as a new SOC and enabler of new combo treatments with Checkpoint Inhibitors and Car-T perhaps at a less risky dose of Car-T.
Suddenly I’m hungry... for fruit :)
Seriously, true words of wisdom!
Scotty, you know it’s coming, it’s almost here, the crank is turning, it’s when not if for TLD, as sure as you will continue to post shade at NWBO management
It seems to me LP was both getting enough events for satisfying the powering (no pun intended) of the trial for OS and establishing the long tail.
