Whatever. I sincerely doubt anyone really cares about BigBizz's posts any more than they care about yours or mine.
As for buying $400 items I've never heard about, I suppose that's one of the reasons SEVU is trying to have their products available in a number of places. Recognition is very important. SecureView may be a pretty cool product, but I don't think any major retailer would stock their shelves with it before they see if it sells. Besides, it doesn't appear as though SEVU can produce enough cameras today anyway.
Amazon.com has only one website too, but they sell quite a few books.
ALL of this is "petty stuff"! That's what's wrong with these boards. If you crawl around the gutters of Beverly Hills you're bound to find some cigarette butts, but it's still a pretty nice neighborhood.
I have never claimed that SEVU is without their problems. Some of them may be pretty severe, but in my opinion, the problems don't outweigh the potential for gain. I don't know why people here can't seem to accept that SEVU is neither all good or all bad.
Does McBride violate SEC regulations by posting here? I don't know. Quite frankly, I don't care enough to even study the rule. What if he does? I'd say the penalties are among the least of the company's problems.
Are the PRs misleading? If I was going to sell my stock due to misleading PRs, I'd have sold ages ago.
Does tremendous dilution bother me? Of course it does, but I don't know all the details and it's quite possible that a PP was the best way to raise enough money to keep the company afloat. Maybe the other Officers feel the same way about McBride that some do here, and they wouldn't participate if the price was greater than ten cents. We simply don't know. If it bothers you that much, sell your shares and move on.
I prefer to consider the bigger picture. They have a unique product that appears to have great potential for profitable sales. Regardless of all the peripheral noise, I believe the potential for gain exceeds the potential for loss. You'll notice I don't recommend that others buy or sell. I don't care what the rest of you do. With the exception of McBride, the total number of shares represented on this board isn't enough to make a difference.
If you consider the posts Cook just pasted to be substantiation, I hope you have a back-up plan to fall back on after your "suit".
One could easily find a post where I disagree with or attack you. Does that mean I dislike you? I've never even met you!
BTW, I don't like Bill Gates, but I'd invest in his company.
Whether we like or agree with each other or not, everyone deserves some degree of respect. This isn't the place for "marginally relevant" accusations; particularly unsubstantiated hearsay.
Yet another reason to read this board!
Free Legal advice! It doesn't get any better than this!!
Now I understand. Sorry.
I didn't realize until last night that we're not supposed to use multiple aliases. Last night I asked Matt to cancel DK76 and HP. I won't use them anymore.
I was never Gotinearly. I think you know I'd admit it if I was.
I started Honorable Poster because I got so sick of FrankNG and his "FrankNG honorable poster and does not lie", so I used it as a sarcastic alias.
The worst thing is that now you have to sit through the show again! I wouldn't wish that on anyone. (Sorry SH, sounds like you watch it too).
I think the reason we're invested in this stock is because it gives us the usual speculative risks associated with BB investments, plus the benefit of a daily side show. Some of this is too crazy to make up!
Wasn't the Good Morning America thing supposed to happen on Friday?
Well, I typed a lenthy reply, but like a "moron" (I really like this name!), I managed to close the file and lost it.
Anyway, I'm not going to reproduce it tonight, but it started with something like "12-18 months of touting reversed by reading a 10Q for 30 minutes". Lots of examples in between, and questions like "Why didn't you acknowledge these things sooner?". I think my final comment was something about the 45K shares you directed to sell today. I bet you're really proud of that final 14K at forty cents.
I'm going to bed. This isn't worth losing sleep.
Nice try Frank. If you can't figure out who I am, you're not as smart as I thought you were. BTW, I respect your intelligence. I just disagree with much of what you do and say, particularly when it changes so dramatically in a matter of hours.
As for the 10Q and related posts, the 10Q is interesting and raises some very valid questions, but most of the posts here are about as valuable as Printmail or Ken Cook's resume.
Are you really so insecure as to believe that anyone who challenges you must either work for McBride or be related to him? It's no wonder people don't respect you! I try, but it's becoming very difficult.
I have a hunch it's available if you'd like it.
Perhaps, although I always wonder if I'd be happy if the brakes on my car only failed 5% of the time.
I'm only partially sarcastic here. I realize 100% isn't realistic in this application, but if I was managing it, I would set the bar much higher.
I will agree that 5% in this case wouldn't mean the sky is falling, although I'd carry an umbrella.
I don't have any ideas. My question is very sincere. If the failure rate is high, I'd be very interested in knowing how high, and why. That's why the anonymity of the person making the claim is important/suspect.
I'd say we have all wasted enough cyber space on the subject by now if all we really have is an unsubstantiated anonymous claim that someone had a problem with a single unit. I'm sure there is some percentage of failure, just as with any product, but to suggest 5-25% based on the data we have is absurd.
BTW, if you wanted the truth about the failure rate of SecureView, how would you find out? I'm sure many here would be interested.
I changed my alias in response to events of the past week or so. I told myself one night that I'd have to be a moron to continue to read and post here. That left me with a couple of options: Either quit posting or forever remind myself how silly this is.
Besides, I wanted to let everyone else call someone a moron without being deleted.
Haven't you figured out who I am yet? I'm certainly not disguising anything, and my first post stated that I'm an old poster with a new alias.
Do you think everyone who challenges you works for McBride? SEVU isn't that big!
If you really believe SecureView has a high failure rate you're not going to confirm it by sitting on (or ignoring) the facts. I have a hunch that if you PM McBride and ask him, he isn't going to drop everything to respond to you.
Wouldn't you like to find out the truth?
If I was a shareholder (which I am), I'd want to know the truth, good or bad. I'd be a little more concerned about my investment than whether or not my name or even an alias appeared on a board.
What's the risk for this person?
I agree with TA's comment. If Rich was making this claim, you'd be all over him.
I call BS.
Where would they get the 5%-25% estimate? Why would they be afraid to post themselves? Let's face it FG, Rich isn't the only person here with credibility problems. This one just doesn't add up.
I don't know what poor customer service has to do with right to privacy. I also don't understand why anyone would keep that a secret. What could they have to gain?
If the claims are even remotely true, a basher or even a dissatisfied customer would be doing everything possible to make sure everyone knows about it. In the case of the basher, the reasons should be obvious. In the case of the dissatisfied customer, they have supposedly spent between $300 and $500 for a product that reportedly doesn't work. Why would they be afraid to let their identity be known, particularly if they knew they could e-mail McBride?
I'm not buying it.
Who is claiming to have had so many problems with SEVU service? Is this you? If not, why doesn't the person post for themselves?
I think I'm going to like it here. With an alias like mine, I'll fit right in.
Old poster. New alias. Seems fitting if I'm going to stick around here.
Didn't this place used to be about a company?
