Wow, you must have a unique view of terrible fundamentals ....... since AMRN has no debt, over $300 Million in cash, and was cash flow positive in Q2, what do they have to do in your mind to have ok fundamentals?
Interesting how the reports just talk about how the drug reduces CVD risk but they don't mention that if Strides tries to market it as such, they will get sued.
You were spot on with your .85 prediction. Props to you.
Yes Nukem, you were without Murray........ and you torched the Cowboys on the ground with over 200 yards....... I'm doing so poorly in my fantasy baseball leagues that I don't know all the playoff teams...... good for the DBacks though..... I did know that they were decent this year. My Red Sox are horrible and our arch rivals the Yankees are just as bad.
Hey Nukem....... great win by your Cardinals over those always overrated Cowboys.
JRoon, that's not meaningless because it means the company is sold..... he still has to pay the strike price for the options but as far as a tidy profit, yes, he has to sell the company for over a $1 to make anything.
Well keep this in mind..... in order for Holt to clean up he needs this to happen.
Mr. Holt will be issued a one-time grant of stock options giving him the right to purchase up to 5,000,000 shares subject to performance-based vesting with share price hurdles ranging from $2.50 to $15.00. Upon achievement of each share price hurdle, a set number of shares are earned.
For each share price hurdle to be achieved, the volume weighted average price of the shares over a 60-day calendar period must equal or exceed the applicable share price hurdle.
Once a share price hurdle has been achieved, the earned option shares are subject to an additional five months of time-based vesting to further support sustained stock price appreciation.
Mr. Holt has also agreed to purchase $300,000 worth of Amarin shares in the open market using personal funds.
I'm in the same boat jasbg....... but should we win the day and I keep putting my money on that possibility......... I will get my just rewards.
Happens every time....... the share price action is annoying enough without having to read whining about it being Denners fault and how the previous management group did no wrong and was steering the ship to perfection.....blah blah blah
Even P-dude has accepted the fact that the old ship has sailed.
I wouldn't change my vote one bit. He didn't just buy 4.5 million more shares last month with the goal of tanking the company.
Great clips jasbg.......... wow, she is easy on the ears and certainly the eyes. Serious pipes.
Eagles and Steely Dan played Boston on Monday.......
I'm still in favor of a share buyback announcement........ no rush to buy back the shares but announce it and buy back the shares as the profits come in.
No worries STS.......we're good...... back when I was young and handsome (now I'm just "AND")..... I had the same issue with eating things like steak..... I choked and gagged on it........terrifying....... I finally grew out of that phase but for a a long time, I just wouldn't eat it. I can't get a script for V but even the EPA pills I take get stuck for a few seconds in my throat....... it's funny how I can pop 2 long skinny Tylenols at the same time without issue but no way would I try 2 of these EPA pills at the same time. It must have to do with the shell material of the pills.
STS,
There's a big difference between your comment " I'm so mad personally - sometimes I gag on the 1 g caps" and practically dying from your overall gagging issues...... so chill a little on me.
I do remember Liz and miss her because she was very responsive to my emails.
How do you know that 1G V pills don't cost AMRN much less/script to manufacture? In a perfect V world, everyone would want to take less and smaller pills but we are where we are. I wish you well......
So ST..... you are complaining because of pills that you have to take less of AND they cost half the out of pocket price that you normally pay? Just because you have a gag reflex once in awhile? Why do you think it's costing AMRN a bleep load of money to make less pills with more IPE in them?
You need a different place to channel your anger.
Quite the irony Sleven......so many contributions from German thought leaders and institutions and they would clearly understand the benefits of EPA and we can't get Germany health to cover V.................. yet!
TCI, I don't see why not if there are specific biomarkers that can be measured. If there's an increase in X or a decrease in Y....... it should be measurable in the target group versus the placebo group. So the significance will be not of the number of patients say 70 but if all 70 show some major change in biomarkers of interest.
Good article Sleven.......

You must be the guy that stands up at a wedding when the priest says, if anyone has a reason why this happy couple should not be married, speak now or forever hold your peace.
Sarissa is just following my lead........ I buy 10,000, they buy 5 Million........ I guess I'll buy another 10,000 this month. I'll need to start a gofundme though.
Great news Robin and Sleven...... another EU country in the fold.
Lizzy, you can't do that...... someone would call the EPA................. thank you.. thank you..... be sure to tip your waitstaff and I'm here every Friday.
Great post ORB
Rosem...... thanks for the playback of my first kidney stone experience.... brutal. My ER visit they couldn't give me a room so I'm on a gurney in the hallway waiting for meds which they don't give until they do the ultrasound to be sure what it is.....while I'm waiting in agony in the hallway for the results, the ER doc comes to me and said, do you need more pain meds? I said you haven't given me any yet..... finally they gave me a morphine drip or something and instant relief thank god. Then it was Oxy every 4 hours until the stone passed into my bladder. And like clockwork the pain meds were needed every 4 hours.
The second event was a couple years ago, just about to leave Florida for Massachusetts and I notice my urine is dark...oh oh. I drive to Virgina and stay overnight at a hotel. The next morning, an all too familiar pain in my kidney starts ramping up. I stop in the nearest hospital emergency room and when the ER doc comes look for me she says, so where's the guy doubling over in pain with the kidney stone.... I laughed and said, I'm not there quite yet but you know I'm going to be.....I've seen this movie before. They did all the tests and confirmed this little razor baby was coming. She hooked me up with the meds and 5 hours later I was back on way home to a couple of days of pain and suffering. Fingers crossed for no more of these.
Narcotic pain meds do have their place...... I've passed a couple of kidney stones in the last 10 years and let me tell you..... without Oxy, Codeine, and super strong Acetaminophen, I would have stuck pencils in my temples.
Glad to hear you're on the mend Kiwi....
"Statins plus Vascepa do not prevent getting Covid"......take heart Kiwi... Covid vaccines do not prevent getting Covid either and our government pays 100% of the cost for you to get the shot and all 300 booster shots.
They..... is the BOD comp plan for Holt.... all his shares vest if he can get the price to $15. However they also vest upon successful change in ownership of the company.
Robin, if you've been adding at these low prices, this may yet turn out to be an awesome gift...... time will tell. There are poeple much smarter than we are who are highly incentivized to get this share price up. The real question is will we be smart enough to sell at the right time. That is my challenge. A buyout will solve that challenge for me.
He probably leans in the direction of the highest bidder
Capt'n......... I always thought he was JEDI...... I don't recall him being anti-V
Here's hoping we have a great weekend.

And anyone who is truly interested that dropped an offer down here would be graciously laughed at by the company......if there's anyone interested, they've been told a price I'm sure and it isn't $ 1.06
How about "Arterium"? (I think there's a company with that name though so maybe "Arteriom" would be allowed)
Reduces plaque in the arteries
Reduces Trigs
Reduces CVD risk
Reduces inflammation
Promotes weight loss (just say it since everyone else does)
May improve your sex life (why not? If you're not deceased, you have a better chance at a sex life)
I suppose we could just call it "Reduce-it"
You plagiarist.....
Well that inverted, drunken, lazy ass kangaroo can now stand up and get hopping. I was able to get my shares back at a slightly lower price and do it outside of the wash rule timeline. It's a little less painful looking at the loss in that particular account now that my cost basis is lower but believe me, I still know the loss is there.
I'm sure there is something in place that ensures Mochida would receive a benefit in any buyout scenario.
Maybe next weekend's sessions produce some positive momentum in Europe.
Presentation at the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) Congress, both onsite and online in Amsterdam, August 25-28, 2023. This new research includes, along with other topics, the review of the contribution of eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and other biomarkers to MACE reduction by icosapent ethyl (IPE).
Well this drunken kangaroo will line up nicely with my goal to buy a pile of shares after today......
