Right AAA.... it did get to 0.10..... eventually.
All things come to those who wait.
Thank you for your analysis of the situation, TFN.
Party said that the shrimp boat might get a bit rocky this week and he sure was right. I'm grateful for the benefit of your experience and that of other valued members here at times like this.
How do they pronounce "sulja" as a matter of interest.
My guess is sul-ya, like in German (j = y). Ja?
That's very strange. Msg# 131558 doesn't show for me even though you say it's still there. I haven't got Always Skeptical on iggy so I don't know the reason. I'd appreciate a copy of his post so I can understand what all the fuss was about. TIA.
Has anybody else had this problem with messages not showing for them?
What happened to msg# 131558 by Always Skeptical that many here are praising? Was it removed by the mods? I don't see it now.
There are strict Ihub guidelines regarding deletion of posts. It is not entirely up to the moderator of each board as some here seem to believe. If you feel you have been unfairly treated you can take the matter up with Matt directly.
I would certainly like to see what you have to say, provided it is on topic, and for a mature discussion to take place re the merits or otherwise of your contribution. We're all adults here. Most of us anyway.
What's this "we", Paleface?
I thought you were out?
Corrected.... finally got the A/S right.
This is not true. The naked shorting problem lies with the hedge funds and their US and Canadian co-conspirators. Naked shorting is strictly verboten in Germany. They put the scammers up against the wall and shoot them (slight exaggeration here perhaps). If you look into it you will find that the problems attributed to the German exchanges actually originate in North America or off shore.
NSS is a huge problem on the US stock markets and more details of this are emerging every day.
You are posting a lot of unsubstantiated allegations, BJ. How about giving some proof of what you say?
Green and red do not represent buys and sells afaik. Red is a downtick in the PPS and green is an uptick. White means no change in the price.
Like everybody else I'd like to see a lot more transparency from AURC. We have very little to go on really apart from the PRs. You're either a believer or you're not.
I look forward to the Frankfurt listing as that will give AURC more international exposure.
It's true that we don't know how the acquisitions were financed but Parkin has always denied dilution. Anyway dilution would make little sense with the low share price. He used the term "cash and other considerations". It was never made clear what he meant by that however.
There might be a clue in the extract below from the Aurus website. Could it be that the acquisitions were funded by prefinancing by Russian banks?
http://www.auruscorp.com/gold_domestic.asp?sec=gold
"Commercial banks increasingly show interest in conducting transactions with precious metals and working with gold-mining enterprises. According to the Association of Russian Banks, in 1996 they bought from subsoil users 5 tons of gold, in 1997 – 43 tons, in 1998 – 87 tons, in 1999 – 89 tons, in 2000 – 112 tons, and in 2001 – 130 tons). Importantly, banks cannot derive a meaningful profit unless the transaction volume is below at least 2 to 3 tons of gold and the extraction of such gold has been prefinanced by these banks themselves. On the other hand, subsoil users now need not just seasonal credits for a period of 6 to 12 months but longer ones (3 to 5 years) of the leasing of machinery or other equipment for the same period. There are, however, relatively few Russian banks that can afford all this. The annual volume of investments made by the banks in gold extraction now measures some USD 350 million. The borrowed funds therefore make it possible not just finance seasonal extraction but geological exploration. This helps increase gold output and replenish gold reserves."
I enjoy your daily musings FFB and I agree with much of what you say. A welcome change from wading through the pile of doo-doo from those whose intentions are dubious to say the least.
George Carlin's Views on Aging
Do you realize that the only time in our lives when we like to get old is when we're kids? If you're less than 10 years old, you're so excited about aging that you think in fractions.
You get into your teens, now they can't hold you back. You jump to the next number, or even a few ahead.
"How old are you?" "I'm gonna be 16!" You could be 13, but hey, you're gonna be 16! And then the greatest day of your life . . you become 21. Even the words sound like a ceremony . YOU BECOME 21. YESSSS!!!
But then you turn 30. Oooohh, what happened there?
Makes you sound like bad milk! He TURNED; we had to throw him out. There's no fun now, you're Just a sour-dumpling. What's wrong? What's changed?
You BECOME 21, you TURN 30, then you're PUSHING 40.
Whoa! Put on the brakes, it's all slipping away.
Before you know it, you REACH 50 and your dreams are gone.
But wait!!! You MAKE it to 60. You didn't think you would!
So you BECOME 21, TURN 30, PUSH 40, REACH 50 and MAKE it to 60.
You've built up so much speed that you HIT 70! After that it's a day-by-day thing; you HIT Wednesday!
You get into your 80s and every day is a complete cycle; you HIT lunch; you TURN 4:30; you REACH bedtime. And it doesn't end there.
Into the 90s, you start going backwards; "I Was JUST 92."
Then a strange thing happens. If you make it over 100, you become a little kid again. "I'm 100 and a half!"
May you all make it to a healthy 100 and a half!!
I remember westeffer saying he sold a bunch way back at $0.26 or so. I thought he was crazy at the time to sell. Oh well.... I put it down to experience.
It works for all boards including this one.
Limitless iggies can greatly reduce your stress levels. :)
I ponied up for a menbership some time ago and strongly recommend it to those who haven't. No ads and the ability to scroll thru 50 posts at a time is great. I can ignore the bashers and pumpers and those who waste everybody's time with one-liners and inane comments and stupid questions. Cuts reading time in half. Priceless.
Thanks Dragon. It looks like that resistance is holding so far today. Might be tested again later though. GLTU.
Where is the sideways resistance/support line heading?
Is this Triple Top a reliable indicator?

She is in the kitchen preparing to boil eggs for breakfast.
He walks in. She turns and says, "You've got to make love to me -- this very moment."
His eyes light up and he thinks, "This is my lucky day" Not wanting to lose the moment, he embraces her and then gives it his all on the kitchen table.
Afterwards she says, "Thanks," and returns to the stove.
More than a little puzzled, he asks, "What was that all about?"
She explains, "The egg timer's broken."
Right. For the MM's to claim they don't know what's going on would be like the piano player in the brothel claiming he didn't know what was going on upstairs. :)
My guess is that shorty would pay up or else they would cover their positions in order to avoid doing so. They would avoid litigation at all costs as that could open a can of worms.
Whether they choose to pay the dividend or cover it would cost them big time. That's why the cash dividend is such a potent weapon and probably the only really effective one against these scammers.
Although NITE and other MM's get bad press it's very likely that they are only the front for hedge funds or others with deep pockets. They are making a fortune from these NSS and rarely get caught in a short squeeze. If SLJB can pull it off they will be heros in pinkie land.
I don't follow your logic here. Why would the shorts have to pay the dividend to the full O/S? Surely they would only pay on their short positions? This is estimated by MAM at 250-300 million.
One dividend would be paid per share long or short. The shorts pay out and the longs collect.
The company pays out to the 500 million O/S with the possibility of insiders returning their dividend as PR'ed.
It was an interesting point though. The "Sulja vehicle", eh?
Who knows what the future has in store?
Starting to feel lonely, eh? My guess is most of the oldies will come out of the woodwork once the company decides to inform its shareholders about what it has been up to for the past four months.
A lot of people don't believe there is a global warming problem either. I'm just wondering if Jim sticks to his guns in the light of revelations over the past few months.
I'm not so sure the audit will force a short squeeze either.
Now a dividend is another matter altogether. That would really hit shorty where it hurts.
So if Petar delivers on the audited financials next week you might change your mind about him, eh?
Agreed that moving to the OTC BB would do nothing to force the shorts to cover. Another one of those message board myths that are often stated as fact.
You didn't give your view on the naked short position. The IR company MAM have indicated this may be as high as 250 - 300 million. Comments?
" I don't believe a word they say"
Anything in particular that Petar has said recently that you don't believe, Jim? I'd be interested in seeing if you're right.
You've always poured scorn on the idea that there is a large naked short position here. Do you still believe that there isn't?
Finally could you please comment on the suggestion that uplisting to the OTC BB would force the shorts (if they exist)to cover. I have my doubts about that one.
More message board mythology. The MMs don't bother with a borrow when they want to short pinkies.
"when you divide the numbers by 18 million shares outstanding, the pps increases exponentially."
What do you mean by this, Greenspirit? The O/S is 500 million not 18 million. The earnings are divided by the O/S to give the EPS.
Wessal are buying 25% of the O/S not 25% of the float.
500/4 = 125 million shares.
When they start buying we'll know all about it imo.
Prof, you keep making this reference to NDOL as an example of a company that made a dramatic run as a result of declaring a dividend. I don't follow it too closely but my recollection is that NDOL ran up to $1.50 or so on rumors of a take-over bid. This subsequently turned out to be a merger with another Russian oil company and the price fell back and is currently around 22 cents. I don't ever recollect any talk of a dividend (but I could be wrong).
I'd love to see SLJB declare a dividend post-audit as a way of tackling the NSS problem but I certainly hope the PPS doesn't follow the NDOL pattern.
I don't always agree with you but your theory about DeVries dumping 504 shares through NITE is the best explanation I've seen yet for the seemingly limitless supply of shares that has been holding the PPS down these past few weeks.
I can imagine it got his attention alright. However the jobs are likely to be spread over a number of locations including the Middle East.
My understanding is that moving to the OTCBB will have no effect on the shorts.... they will just move across together with the longs. Just like changing ticker symbol made no difference to them.
Still here since last December when I bought 750k @ .0025.
Happy days! I wish I'd held on to them but I bailed out with D.A.'s infamous "dilution is the solution" PR. Back in now but at a much higher average.
My question back in December was the same one I have now: "Just where are all these shares coming from?"
Almost certainly NSS was the answer back then but I'm puzzled about who's been selling in the past few weeks.
Voluntary Disclosure: I'm an engineer. :)
Understanding Engineers - Take One
Two engineering students were walking across a university campus when one said,
"Where did you get such a great bike?"
The second engineer replied, "Well, I was walking along yesterday, minding my own business, when a beautiful woman rode up on this bike, threw it to the ground, took off all her clothes and said, "Take what you want."
The second engineer nodded approvingly and said, "Good choice; the clothes probably wouldn't have fitted you anyway."
Understanding Engineers - Take Two
To the optimist, the glass is half full.
To the pessimist, the glass is half empty.
To the engineer, the glass is twice as big as it needs to be.
Understanding Engineers - Take Three
A priest, a doctor, and an engineer were waiting one morning for a particularly slow group of golfers.
The engineer fumed, "What's with those blokes? We must have been waiting for fifteen minutes!"
The doctor chimed in, "I don't know, but I've never seen such inept golf!"
The priest said, "Here comes the greens keeper. Let's have a word with him."
He said, "Hello, George! what's wrong with that group ahead of us? They're rather slow, aren't they?"
The greens keeper replied, "Oh, yes. That's a group of blind fire fighters. They lost their sight saving our clubhouse from a fire last year, so we always let them play for free anytime."
The group fell silent for a moment.
The priest said, "That's so sad. I think I will say a special prayer for them tonight."
The doctor said, "Good idea. I'm going to contact my ophthalmologist colleague and see if there's anything he can do for them."
The engineer said, "Why can't they play at night?"
Understanding Engineers - Take Four
What is the difference between mechanical engineers and civil engineers?
Mechanical engineers build weapons and civil engineers build targets.
Understanding Engineers - Take Five
The graduate with a science degree asks, "Why does it work?"
The graduate with an engineering degree asks, "How does it work?"
The graduate with an accounting degree asks, "How much will it cost?"
The graduate with an arts degree asks, "Do you want fries with that?"
Understanding Engineers - Take Six
Three engineering students were gathered together discussing the possible designers of the human body.
One said, "It was a mechanical engineer. Just look at all the joints."
Another said, "No, it was an electrical engineer. The nervous system has many thousands of electrical connections."
The last one said, "No, actually it had to have been a civil engineer. Who else would run a toxic waste pipeline through a recreational area ?"
Understanding Engineers - Take Seven
Normal people believe that if it ain't broke, don't fix it.
Engineers believe that if it ain't broke, it doesn't have enough features yet.
Understanding Engineers - Take Eight
An engineer was crossing a road one day, when a frog called out to him and said, "If you kiss me, I'll turn into a beautiful princess."
He bent over, picked up the frog and put it in his pocket.
The frog spoke up again and said, "If you kiss me and turn me back into a beautiful princess, I will stay with you for one week."
The engineer took the frog out of his pocket, smiled at it and returned it to the pocket.
The frog then cried out, "If you kiss me and turn me back into a
Princess, I'll stay with you for one week and do ANYTHING you want."
Again, the engineer took the frog out, smiled at it and put it back into
his pocket.
Finally, the frog asked, "What is the matter? I've told you I'm a beautiful princess, and that I'll stay with you for one week and do anything you want. Why won't you kiss me?"
The engineer said, "Look, I'm an engineer. I don't have time for a girlfriend, but a talking frog, now that's cool."
I thought Sulja Bros was owned by Consultech/Vista. If the Sulja family own 100% of the 362 million shares held by insiders then how could that be?
