That's strange that they haven't responded to DOS about the proposed visit. It was Dovgan himself who invited shareholders to visit the operations (in his President's letter of 5th Dec 2007) to see for themselves that there was no truth in the wicked rumours that were circulating about Aurus. So why would he not be delighted that some are willing to take up his invitation, I wonder?
What say you, DOS?
So when are you going to Russia to check out this exciting new equipment, DOS? I'm sure that Dovgan and the BOD must be very pleased to have a mining expert like yourself willing to travel to the properties so that their claims can be verified.
Do be sure to take lots of photos of the production facilities. Looking forward to your reports from the mines.
You've certainly changed your tune, 2C. It used to be just the Canadian "admin" crew (Monimpex)that were to blame for all of AURC's problems but now the Russians are in on the scam as well?
Will any of these gangsters ever be brought to justice I wonder?
Perhaps the gold was shipped to the bank in the name of Aurus's "representative" Puma?
Just how gullible do these guys think investors are? Sheesh!
Agreed. About time Aurus BOD started to deliver on their promises. We've had enough fluff.
The other Party is a possibility... but you don't need to look very far to see who is hurting this company the most. Aurus management by their sheer incompetence and outright deception are doing a good job at that themselves, along with their crooked enablers in Monimpex.
I agree. There is usually a grain of truth in what AURC say if you search hard enough.
Right. Just as long as you do the opposite of anything he suggests.
So 2C it was not exactly a year ago that you sold? It makes no difference? Actually it does to some of us. Here's your friendly advise to me from 18th May 2007.....
"H.B.,It is simply confirmation...Not all the details. The time lines have also been Confirmed with Martin last night! ;)
...As was stated by Martin as matched the communication sent to our Russian Directors then an End-of-Month-Closing is what was acknowledged by Joe here last night as matched from Martin as well!
...The details will come when prepared...As of right now, there is NO DOUBT as ot the deal closing ;)
...So, BUY what you can and CASH-Out for $.55/Share
...Good return...And real simple here....If that is disappointing to 'you', that is your feeling; But the fact is $.55/Share WILL be a CLOSED and DONE DEAL as indicated! ;)"
Does it begin with a K? Is it kinda syrupy? Has it got anything to do with Aurus at this stage?
Firstly the divis didn't cost them anything apart from admin costs.
Secondly it was basically an 11 for 10 stock split so why do you say it wasn't dilution? There are now 10% more shares in existence than there were before the divi.
It will probably take them another ten months to get the geo report translated..... allowing for Russian holidays maybe twelve. :)
In fact the PR doesn't clearly state that there will be a vote on the 0.55 offer. It certainly implies that there will but there is a BIG difference between stating something will happen and implying it. When you've been around AURC for a while you begin to understand that difference.
It's true that the last PR doesn't directly say that there will be a vote on a buy-out but the quote from Dovgan certainly implies that. We've learned to be sceptical about anything AURC says or implies however so we await the arrival of the proxies to find out if the buy-out is still a runner.
Verifying the validity of this investment, as you suggest, has never been easy.
Happy IHub birthday, slove2golf
I'm a little disappointed too, not just with the handling of the divi, or share split as my broker more accurately called it, but with a lot of things about AURC. In fact in the time I have been a shareholder they have never failed to disappoint.
At least he didn't say Mr Bean. :)
Martin, do you know how the British Embassy got this confirmation?
Benz, while you are trying to be truthful perhaps you can confirm or deny that Party is the source of the rumor you have posted here recently. The whole tone of what you said here and in PM to DOS is consistent with things Party has been saying for the past few months.
Not attacking you and I have no idea how much truth is contained in this rumor. If you don't reply to this we can draw our own conclusions as to its source.
It sounds like Jeremy is out of the picture now and L2l have taken over the investor relations role. Jeremy never knew anything anyway so he won't be missed.
Very close friend.... closer than your own breath, huh?
Welcome back from the slammer btw.
No real basis for your speculation so. Does that make you a flatulent pumper? :)
Any real basis for this or is it just wild speculation? How do you know the PR when it comes will not be just more fluff?
Keep on pumpin'. You're doing a great job. We could use all the help we can get here. Management have certainly botched things up in the past few months.
It's strange that MIC NAD has been a member of Ihub since Nov 2005 but has only ever posted three times. All his posts were in French and two were to this board in the last couple of days. Not proof of anything underhand but an unusual posting record for sure.
It wasn't Engrico who claimed to have called Parkin. He was merely translating MIC NAD's post. Your point is still valid if Parkin says that nobody has spoken with him recently.
Thanks Engrico.
So they need a shareholder vote now? I thought that the BOD holds the majority of the shares so why the need for a shareholder vote, I wonder? Another stalling tactic perhaps?
Maybe somebody here can do better than Babel Fish?
"Gerald Parkin 1-514-591-3666 it said to me that the whole followed its court and I is asked to him when was to be done (the purchase of the company) it my answered the vote of the shareholders (the problem it is that its fact 2 times that it says to me.) he speaks to me as if he did not have nothing any more has to see with the company and that he is only shareholder!!! when I spoke to him about Martin it my quite simply known as of the change his fact of the good everyone should invite it to make move the choses.cela makes now years and half that I am shareholder with 350000 action he is necessary that its bulge and that he stops taking to us for imbeciles!!"
So what's the game here really?
Martin bows out. Jeremy goes to ground. Kartix wash their hands of the deal. 2C does a runner. The BOD goes silent. When the going gets tough, the tough get going. In this case in a fast car heading outta town. The bashers have the field all to themselves with DOS trying valiently to hold the line.
So what's really going on here? It looks to me like a power struggle between two opposing sets of market manipulators. On one side we have the Canadian crew represented by Monimpex and their fellow travellers. On the other side we have a loosely co-ordinated group of hot-shot pinkie players who have tried to muscle in on the action. When elephants fight, smallers beasts tend to get trampled and that's what's been happening to the unfortunate longs here.
It could be that the company has gone silent in order to freeze out the hot-shot upstarts who have invaded their territory. If so we could be facing a waiting game to see who blinks first.
I remember this post well and I share your concern with the moderator appearing to distance himself from this board. What has he learned in the last month to change his attitude so much?
I've no idea why he bailed out. My guess is he was never an executive officer of Aurus. Probably got a fee to serve on the board for a year.
Belchenko's departure wasn't mentioned in a PR. The word came from a 2C post that Invenstor reposted today. Nothing to do with Martin getting fired.
Welcome to DOS and Invenstor as our new assistant moderators.
I'd suggest a clean-up of the Ibox to eliminate all the out-dated information. Martin and Fairross are gone as is Belchenko. The financing deal with NewConsult is dead in the water as is the CD financing from Kyoto Holdings.
Many of the old PRs shown in the Ibox are misleading at best at this stage.
Depends who they replace Martin with. If it's another Monimpex stooge then there will be no improvement.
That's your fourth post today. Are you off parole now? :)
Yeah, we should be thankful for small mercies, I guess. Grancharoff was a complete w*nker. Where did they get him from? Let's hope they can get somebody reputable this time and preferably not another Canadian. Not being racist but the further from Parkin/Monipex the better.
Right, no fluff. After waiting almost a month for news we get two sentences compared with one last time.
I've been here a lot longer than you and will probably be here when you've moved on down the road.
I'm not asking for completion just an update on progress. Not a lot to ask.
Minimum information as usual. Who is the new TA?
Martin and Select/Faiross are no great loss.
Let's get on with the business in hand. Why not give an update on the progress of the buy-out? Sheesh!!!
Nice try, Mister Sandman. Let's hope you can bring us a dream. :)
The Germans finally realized that they don't have any assets.
It's good to hear somebody who knows what they are talking about on this issue. There is so much nonsense written daily on this topic, not just here but on every board. Like you I've come to the conclusion that the huge short position is an illusion.
