For both our sakes, and I’m sure many other longs till the end, good luck to us all!!!
The second worst thing next to selling now before the moonshot, is hearing “I told you so” over and over again ad nauseum if we don’t get approval
Still I like our odds very much now after all the derisking in getting here.
It’s an off and on thing for years
If nwbo moonshots she might want to stick around, but on the other hand she’d get half of the portfolio anyway.
I just happened to read a short online blurb about which dividend stocks Kenny G has been picking up for Citadel.
Turns out Merck has become one of the larger Citadel holdings. Blurb mentions Keytruda and dividend increases.
If one wants to be Machiavellian one might consider what Kenny can do to increase the value of his Merck holdings?
Would helping Merck pick up new treatments on the cheap be additional motivation to keep nwbo sp deeply discounted?
I’m still buying today at 0.438 !
Can’t resist the deep discount while on the verge of an approval decision and the word about dendritic cell lysate pulsed cancer treatment starting to make the rounds!!!
My wife asked me again why not sell so we can pay some expenses, and I responded as usual that I would rather lose my investment than to sell it after all these years and watch the sp ramp up on and after approval.
You lose the money once, but you can be tortured with coulda/woulda/shoulda the rest of your life if and when nwbo does a moonshot!
Could be anticipating need for additional shifts once approved, due to greater demand?
Need anyone say more?
This is the promise of DCVax!!!
All we need now is the great news!!!
Looks like upon approval I’ll be sipping champagne and bourbon!
Unless bourbon is low sugar and low alcohol, I shouldn’t consume any.
I may be able to wet my beak, so to speak, however I might not have the will power to stop there
I’ll put the magnum of champagne back on chill this weekend!
Although I can no longer drink champagne, wine, and beer, for medical reasons, I’ll pop the champagne and take tiny sips when we finally get the great news!!!
Until then it’s water spiked with a little Gatorade Zero.
Dstock,
You are one hard worker!
I’m in awe of the energy and the diligence you bring to due diligence.
Sawston passed inspection with flying colors, so I would assume easy final inspections!
I think you are right!
I picked up some more shares today at just below 48 cents.
They not only mark the close imo, they basically script the whole daily sp routinely.
Market open - sp goes up early 1-2 cents
Midday - slow walk down of sp
Into close - close to unchanged or a little up or down, occasionally moving the sp more to vary things and work the emotional trading.
I’m sure I’m not the only one who has become numb to the pattern imo.
I’m pretty sure I remember Dr Liau giving a presentation a number of years ago and including slides about investigating DCVax L + iclc as the placebo, and adding keytruda in the other leg.
At the time I commented that this was very positive for DCVax in that DCVax + iclc appeared to take the position as the new SOC and must have been believed to be the de facto New SOC for purposes of evaluating the keytruda combination against.
We know that DCVax + iclc is more effective than DCVax alone, so why give a patient anything less. Then, does keytruda in combination raise the bar significantly further is the point of the investigation/trial.
DCVax + iclc + other pd1/PDL1 can be evaluated as well, and beyond to combinations of dcvax + iclc + “other” are also fertile ground for investigation.
In all of this, the types of cancer can vary, but the approach may be tumor agnostic and the efficacy against different tumors are to be determined.
Hence the fertile ground for partnering and/or collaborating with multiple entities.
Note that applying Eden closed system devices provide advantages to all these combo treatments as well as other cell based products manufacturing independent of even DCVax.
Imo, The futures so bright we gotta wear shades
I lost “my daughter’s” Cavalier King Charles Spaniel after almost 16 years of being inseparable.
It took me over two years to not immediately choke up every time I mentioned or thought about him.
I’m choked up and welling up tears now writing this and it’s been about 8 years now.
There’s nothing like the trust and unquestioned love of “man’s best friend.”
We are better people for having been loved by our most loyal family member.
Sorry, I have to wipe my nose and eyes now.
Wouldn’t you expect a very compassionate surgeon to not rest on his laurels for a breakthrough result, and immediately start towards the even more promising combination treatment?
Isn’t that what UCLA Dr Liau and Dr Cloughesy (sp?) do?
One must walk before learning to run!
In no way does that take away from first approval and first approval sets the stage for combo treatments.
Thanks for the info on Monte Carlo.
I probably could least afford to live there anyway.
Was attracted by the low issues and crime statistics along with the romanticized coastal beauty. Imagined it would have been mostly French and Italian population wise.
My dear deceased Italian cousin’s wife and kids live in Monte Carlo and he used to send me beautiful photos from there. He had so much going for him and we had just reconnected in the USA but he was diagnosed with Lou Gherig’s disease and tried everything to no avail. Cancer isn’t the only cruel disease!
From your lips to God’s ears!
It’s the kind of financial freedom that would be wonderful, and for supporting a breakthrough in treating diseases that have taken so many from life with their loved ones.
True dat !
I agree that having survived much worse for so long, the rest should be a relatively easy task!
Our kids and my wife’s family are all in the USA, otherwise I’d have been very tempted to spend my retirement and live very well in Europe, like Tuscany, the French Countryside or Riviera, or Monte Carlo if I could afford it.
I love The USA and am moving closer to my kids in a hopefully less stressful environment in Alpharetta, and make more new friends to enjoy leisure and hopefully spoil my future grandkids and current grandpups! Maybe I could do more to help others and listen to the news less, instead of stressing over the daily drama. I kinda feel bad for the future generations that they’re inheriting a situation that seems worse than we inherited. But nuff about that!!!
I’ve been hoping that the shorts will cover and go long for the ride up for a long time but it hasn’t happened, however unless they’re betting on no approval they are running out of time playing chicken!
As was said a lot when growing up in the Bath Beach neighborhood of Brooklyn, and I’m sure most neighborhoods in the country, “money talks, and bs walks”
Also, it’s who you know (and owes you a favor or will do you a favor) more than what you know.
And finally, in the immortal words of Alfred E. Neumann:
What, me worry!
Very plausible!
As Popeye used to say “oils well that ends well, ah tsk tsk tsk!”
Isn’t it just peachy keen that the system enables the MMs to rape and pillage the markets with impunity!!!
I know I feel violated.
A couple of thoughts re LG comment:
1. Headfake possibility to throw off cabal
2. Possibly had another important item in mind that shouldn’t be telegraphed now and caught self in time to cover inadvertent disclosure. I know this is stretching things but not beyond the realm of possibility.
I really don’t know but if there is back and forth trading between manipulators and layers of loaning the same shares multiple times and laundering shorts through offshore entities, maybe some of the shenanigans might be accounted for, but who knows what shenanigans are going on?
If they BK the company the uncovered shorts problem goes away. But I don’t see BK unless there are no approvals coming. LP has kept the company going for over a decade of expensive trial so I’d think it would be easier with all the positive milestones.
Christmas Eve in June!
Reminds me of Crazy Eddie, his prices are insane!!!
I still have a Crazy Eddie cap they were giving out as a promotional item.
Maybe I’ll go to the ASM and wear it
When you get meaningless slaps on the wrist and pay a settlement once in a while, you keep ringing the register and pay the cost of “doing business” when you have to do so. Imo of course.
Looks like repeat of same manipulative stock price daily pattern imo. Bring price up and walk it down at end of trading day.
Coinkidink?
Duopoly is not a bad situation if you can’t have a monopoly, I seem to remember.
Thank you!
LP is a fan of Dirty Dancing I bet:
Nobody puts DCVax in a corner!
Well, we’ll have the time of our lives
BearTrap
You’re smarter than the average bear
Hey Boo Boo, Mr Ranger will approve and our pickanick baskets will be full!!!
Why certainly, nyuck! Nyuck! Nyuck!
Not me, I was up there in Alaska in the summertime when you have the midnight sun. Got enough thrills seeing a moose at a respectable distance inside a SUV, and watching salmon swimming up stream and hoping the bears didn’t join us up close and personal.
No, not a snow and cold lover, but sausiche their own
And a park bench or two!!
But I’m gonna have fences and alarm systems
Sounds like it was a great time! We used to walk around the large marina near Seal Beach, just south/next to Naples in SoCal. There was a Rusty Pelican restaurant there. We saw what looked to be a good many large boat owners who appeared to be living on their high end boats/yachts, with TV antennas above. Thought that would be so cool to live that way for a while. Btw, the best baby back ribs I’ve ever had were at the Naples Rib Joint in the mid 1980’s. Better than the famous Chicago ribs.
I was in elementary school when I first heard, learned, and had to group sing Impossible Dream.
It’s been special to me ever since whenever I think about challenges and courage.
