Wow! 389 Costco stores each selling 6 per week times 52 weeks. Let me do the math... that's 121,368 SecureViews a year, and that's just for Costco.
Add Home Depot, Walmart, Disneyland and Kentucky Fried Chicken!!!
HOPE THE GOOD FAIRY CAN MAKE THAT MANY!!
You're right, Bigbizz
I don't have a lot to offer this board, and because of that I haven't posted much. But when someone starts posting unsubstantiated off-the-wall crap, it activates me. I have been over to Seaview to see for myself (but not recently) what's going on and have offered my opinion from time to time on things like the $9 mil backorders, AMEX, etc. But, I have no inside information, and don't pretend that I do.
BTW, no offense, but I gave up watching the MMs diddle with this stock at least a year ago.
Broker, you're not dealing with amateurs here. Some of us have monitored this board for over 2 years, and we know B.S. when we hear it. Like Dead Man says, either you're FOS or you're the worst reporter of "what's happening" since Bigbizz.
BTW, Bigbizz, "even the market makers are buying" is not a tout!! It means the stockholders are selling, you twit!
For crying out loud, can we get a better class of touts on this board. It's getting boring again!
Trebor, where are you? Let us know what's really going on out there.
Golfnut
to DiverDan & Bigbizz...
Thanks for the laugh cramps!!

deadmanwalking... re Nortel,
someone sent me this the other day. Thought you might like it.
INVESTMENT ADVICE
If you bought $1000 worth of Nortel stock one year
ago, it would now be worth $49.
If you bought $1000 worth of Budweiser (the beer, not the stock) one year ago, drank all the beer, and traded
in the cans for the nickel deposit, you would have $79.
My advice, then, is to start drinking heavily.

Dan, RE: your new disclaimer...
Better delete "no spelling errors" since you spelled "definitely" wrong. LOL

Since things have been slow lately, I thought we all could use some entertainment.
Since many will eventually be writing a book on the SEVU story, I thought I'd get a jump on
the screenplay. Here's a chapter. I offer this as entertainment only. (Excuse me while I pray that's all it is.)
Chapter 13. THE BOARD ROOM
RLM: Is everybody here? G3?, Mike? Doug? Little Gould? Where's Big Gould?
LG: Er… he couldn't make it.
G3: As usual.
RLM: O.K. let's get down to business. Today's order of business is a PP.
LG: Is this going to cost me money?
RLM: Little G, sit down, listen and learn!
DB: Good, we could use a little money in this company.
RLM: O.K., let's see how much we can put up. G3?
G3: I could scratch up about $20,000.
RLM: Little G?
LG: I need to check with Daddy.
MA: I could probably put up $10,000
DB: Me, too.
LG: (hanging up phone) Daddy says O.K. , but not more than $1000.
RLM: Geez! All right, I've still got that $277,000 the company loaned me. That makes $318K.
G3: God, I'm still impressed with that one, Rich!
DB: Yeah, how'd you ever get that by Snowden?
RLM: Snowden, What a puss! Oh, That reminds me. (on intercom) Christy! (silence) CHRISTY! Where is that girl!?
CM: (on intercom) Sorry, Rich. I was doing my nails. Whazzup?
RLM: Take a note! Send Snowden a little gift. Make it a white cane! And you better send him a copy of my book, "How Insiders Cash In Stock Under the SEC's Nose"… and include the addendum on Restricted Shares. And better make it the Braille version.
MA: Whoa! That's way too complicated. Don't you remember we agreed on not more than one thing at a time for CM?
RLM: Yeah, you're right. Say, turn that monitor this way a little. Yeah, that's good right there. Wow, check her out! She's really HOT! Look! Look, she dropped her nail file! YEEOOW! Do you believe That!
DB: O.K. We know! She's hot. But you'd think she'd have figured out there's a camera in that light bulb by now.
RLM: Kiss off, DB. Let's get back to business. Here's what we do. We're going to issue 17 million shares at 10 cents a share. And only those of us in this room can buy them.
MA: Wow! Won't that pizzoff our shareholders?
RLM: So.., er…. What's your point, MA?
MA: er… Nothing, Boss.
G3: But we can only buy 3 million with the $318K!???
RLM: Watch & learn, G3. Here's the beauty of it. We put the $318K cash as a down payment and lock in the entire 17 million shares at 10 cents! Huh? Huh? Am I good… or what!
G3: Geez, you ARE the man!
DB: Wait! How are we going to come up with the rest of the money?
RLM: (aside to G3) He must be the new guy!
MA: I can't wait to hear this, too.
RLM: Look, it's simple. When the time comes, we'll just cash in some shares on the open market. The stock should be trading at two bucks by then…
DB: TWO BUCKS! What if it's not?
RLM: (aside to G3) The new guy, again! Look, DB, if it's not at $2.00, I'll just give G3 a hand with a PR.
DB: This seems really complicated just to get some cash into the company.
RLM: Jeezuz, DB. Is that what you think this is all about? HELLOOO!
MA: Why don't we just issue a PP for 25 cents and offer it to outside investors? That should get us all the cash we need.
RLM: Hellooo. Earth to MA! Earth to MA. (Aside to G3) I think I'll get Adam in here, even if it's just to keep these guys up with "the program".
G3: Good idea, RL.
RLM: This meeting is adjourned. I'm taking the rest of the day off. CHRISTY! CHRISTY!
Just something I dreamed up. I hope I'm FOS.

So we should stop the PP and possibly bankrupt the company with a temporary
injunction????? Has anybody else thought about what could happen if the PP is
stopped?????
JMHO, Adam Jordan
Didn't the $300,000 (20%) down payment lock up the entire 17 million shares. Looks to me like the PP is over.
It also looks to me like no more money for Seaview until the price of the stock goes up. Then Rich, George & the boys can sell some of their current holdings on the open market to get the cash to pay off the remaining 80% of the PP.
Easy way to turn 100,000 shares into a million shares.
JMHO, anyone else see it this way?
Common sense is a rare commodity, and there surely hasn't been much of it on this board lately!
Let me offer this:
Rich, the first step you need to take to get things back in hand is to CLOSE THE BANK OF SEAVIEW! No more officer loans, no more PP's on the installment plan! The purpose of a PP is to get cash into the company... immediately! A PP that locks in a ridiculously low price for a long time with just a down payment, and only for insiders to boot will do the company no good, and make the existing stockholders extremely PO'd.

Just to set the record straight...
SecureView is NOT WIRELESS. It "borrows" wires that already are in place.

Re: stock trades at 5x sales
BB, your computations are interesting, but there's one BIG flaw.... SEVU trades on the OTCBB!!! The price of the stock has nothing to do with its true worth!
And while I'm on the subject of flawed computations, your attempts to determine the amount of money lost on SEVU does not take into account that the same shares can be bought and sold many times a day.
That being said, please make sure you post the 5x sales message over on RB at least as many times as Junkmail posts the A@P review of SecureView. LOL
Golfnut
DD, If you tried to compile those Printmail stats on RB, it wouldn't be a job, it would be a career!
All his posts are pathetic spam.
Golfnut
Looks to me like this company's current technology transmits video over PHONE lines, not power lines, as their name suggests. We had that technology in the 50's! Their video over power lines is in the "near future". Click your link, try to order something and see what their selling.
Golfnut
Gotin, the Homeplug issue was addressed in the Q&A sheet passed out at the SH meeting. Seaview was "reviewing an issue regarding the protection of proprietary patents which may be compromised as a result of executing the membership agreement." Can't blame them for being cautious on that!
Golfnut
Chris, I did not come away from the meeting with that impression at all (the SecureViews not selling like hotcakes). On the contrary, I got the feeling that management was in no hurry to fill the backorders, and was confirming these old orders selectively, starting with the credit card orders and any others that offered immediate payment. The large bulk of the $9mil backorders are with 30-60 day terms, and that would put us back 2 months on the cash flow. More importantly, orders are about to come in from SkyMall, Supercircuits, Costco, Smarthome, etc. and management needs to apportion a percentage of their production to fill these new orders, otherwise they lose credibility re: being able to fill orders in a timely fashion. (I'll bet they already have a little stash of Secureviews salted away for these new orders.)
I was impressed with our new team. I think they know their jobs, and that came across, even though it appeared that public speaking is not their favorite thing.
JMHO, Golfnut
To Seahag, Skipper, and all the other idiots who didn't load up at .25... let me add my name! Bigbizz wanted to, but his condo hasn't closed! Just remember one thing, we're still on the Bulletin Board, and as long as the MM's are in control, SEVU is going to go up AND DOWN! Just wait for the next dip.
I've said it before and I'll say it again, until we get to AMEX this stock price will have nothing to do with what it's worth. What's the matter with the SEC. Can't they see there's something inherently wrong with the MM system! If there ever was a license to steal...
JMHO, Golfnut
Got to see a copy of the direct mail flyer Seaview sent to Bar & Restaurant Owners. It was an inexpensive 2-page b&w flyer that offered the SecureView at the same price that's offered to shareholders. It showed a couple of pictures of the "bulbs" and had a fax-back order form. There was also a list of FAQ's. IMO it was quite well written, very much in the "sans BS" mode of our new team. It should be effective.
If McBride & Assoc. wrote it, I'd have to say they did quite well. But, if they designed it, they came up wanting. The mailing really lacks "image". I think it should have been a full color piece, with not only color photos of the product, but with a photo captured off the TV screen to show potential customers the superior quality of SecureView. In a Direct Mail campaign like this, the major cost is the mailing, the list, and the postage. To use 4-color process doesn't increase the total cost that much. (BTW, George, if printing cost is a problem, PM me... that's my business and I'll print for SEVU stock.)
While the new boys are working on sales and production, perhaps McBride & Assoc. should start working on a new image
that will reflect where Seaview will be a year from now.
JMHO, Golfnut
Why not delete the entire day's posts and we'll all try again tomorrow!
The lawyers are out in full force, trolling for naive longs...
and the bait is "We're only going after the insurance money". I'm sure we all believe that! NOT!
Reminds me of a parable...
God said to the Devil "Lay off Seaview or I'll sue you."
And the Devil said "Oh yeah, where are you going to get a lawyer?"
Having seen the $9MM orders at the Open House, the vast majority appeared to be dealer consignment plans. Perhaps Seaview should reconfirm the cash & credit card orders, forgo the "floor plan" orders, and ship the SecureViews they are making to those who will pay upon receipt.
Wow, who's doing all the deleting tonite?
Sure seems like there are a lot of missing numbers in the posts.
We must all be naughty tonite. I hate to see a job half done, so will somebody delete posts 8422, 8423, 8424, 8425, 8431 and 8432. These posts have no redeeming social value whatsoever, and are irrelevant to Seaview. They also have spelling errors! We should delete any posts with spelling errors!! Typos can be forgiven, but there is no excuse for gross stupidity!
IT WILL NOT BE TOLERATED!
and we should definitely delete posts like this one.
JMO, but who cares.
Bought more SEVU today...
and registered on SI. It's been a good day.
Matt: Don't you think Francois was instrumental in helping you get IHUB off the ground? And now he's been banned?!!!
I find this whole situation disturbing, to say the least.
Perhaps you should consider the following suggestion before everybody on the SEVU board leaves:
1. Invite F+G back.
2. Give Bob full reign over every board except SEVU.
3. You assume the administration duties for the SEVU board yourself.
You've let this situation get way out of control. If you're of a mind to fix it, don't waste any time.
Golfnut
FYI, of the last 50 posts, 70% had nothing to do with SEVU. We are turning the thread into a discussion of IHUB when we should be discussing our investment! Let's do the deleted post thing with PM's. OK? We're all guilty... we can do better.
I think you pretty much offered an opinion when you said you would probably buy an X-10, Bob.
Now, on a somewaht related matter, last night, after I had just gotton off the IHUB site, but before I disconnected from the internet, somebody hacked into my pc and launched the X-10 website! What's up with that!
Golfnut
That sounds high for Ditka. We want him to sell cameras, not coach football! LOL ( I also assume his money would be amortized over a number of years, not all up front.)
MH, it's my understanding that the 2 mil did not go to RM & Assoc., but through RM & Assoc., to pay invoices from magazines, The Weather Channel, & other advertising invoices. The only money RM & Assoc. received themselves was the $50-60K fee. Anyone else see it that way?
Golfnut
Many thanks to Pam Leavy for clearing up how shorting works.
People who "short" stock bank on the price of the stock dropping through increased trading.
Stock certificates are then available for purchase at a lower price.
I was totally confused on this, but now I see... the more interest in a stock, the lower the price goes!
Wow, I think I'm going to find a stock nobody cares about and make a killing! Thanks, Pam!
What's next on the agenda, Pam. Are you giving a seminar on Brain Surgery? Or are you taking a course on Basic Journalism? If it's the latter, why don't you pick up Bill Holland on your way to class!
Please send me a copy of your next article. (I need to wrap a fish)
BigBiz: Normal agency commission on a $2MM advertising budget is $300K. It's highly possible that not all of the $2MM was run thru RLM Assoc; Trade Show fees, airline tickets and hotel rooms, for example, are part of an advertising budget, but often companies are billed directly. Even at that, I remember Rich saying Seaview paid RLM Assoc. somewhere in the neighborhood of $65K, and that's a real bargain. It means they got $2,288,000 worth of advertising instead of $1,700,000 for their $2MM
I have to agree with Bill B. though, on the size of the budget. With very little product being produced, and very little money coming in, SOMEBODY should have said WHOA!
Having seen the $9,000,000 worth of backorders at the open house, I don't think the $2MM was responsible for generating more than $1MM of that. The other $8MM were the result of telephone solicitations, which were amassed, IMO, by asking "Would it be allright if we sent you $6000 worth of cameras if you don't have to pay for them until you sell them?" And the cost of that $8MM of orders would come out of salesmen salaries, which I doubt is part of the $2MM advertising budget. (And it should be really obvious that this type of "Consignment" order should be the very LAST to be filled!)
Anyway, all of this is JMHO, and the numbers I've used are just generalities. So don't quote me and don't sue me!
Golfnut
Bill B.: Call me crazy, but I don't think most companies compute their value/share using the"liquidation" value of their assets.
JMO, Golfnut
Another milestone reached in the SEVU saga?
I hope we've reached rock bottom. I hope Bill B.'s other shoe has finally dropped. I hope Printmail, FrankNG, Ken Cook and all their buddies have their axes all ground down. I hope there's only one way left to go... up. For all of the longs who rode SEVU all the way down, for all of the grief and aggravation we've taken from the shorts... we deserve the ride back up. As DK has said many times, there's not much downside left, and a whole lot of potential with the products. For those turkeys who like to end their posts with SELL SELL SELL SELL, let me spell it out for you. When you've down 90% in your investment, you don't lock in your losses when the product you invested in has the potential of SecureView. So, when you tell me to SELL SELL SELL SELL, my answer is UP YOURS UP YOURS UP YOURS!
Rich, you're no accountant, but I'll give you this: When we asked you about the loan, and you said it was repaid, you didn't lie.
4. NOTE RECEIVABLE-OFFICER During the year ended December 31, 2000, the Company
accepted several non-interest bearing notes from an officer, with a balance of $512,757 at
December 31, 2000. The notes are collateralized by 6.5 million shares of company stock. The loan
was repaid prior to the issuance of the financial statements.
When we asked you if the shares to purchase the Springs "gift" were your shares, you didn't lie.
6. INVESTMENTS
The investment security of $889,918 at December 31, 2000, represents a 21.23% ownership of
capital in Golden Springs LLC, a state of Florida limited liability company. In consideration for its
equity position in Golden Springs, LLC, the Company conveyed 150,000 shares of its common
stock to Golden Springs, LLC subject to restrictions under Rule 144 of the Securities and Exchange
Act of 1933, as amended. The resolution approved by the board of directors to issue shares
dictated that the shares be replaced by the President and C.E.O. These shares were contributed in
2001. The investment is accounted for under the equity method.
I still believe in the products, and will give the new team a chance. I'll ride my shares to zero or $100, rather than sell them to the likes of A@P and his henchmen after what they've done. People who short stock that doesn't exist need to be drawn and quartered, IMO.
One final thought for the longs that are in the hole on this stock at the moment... If you're in at $10.00/share, and it goes to zero, the IRS is going to give you $2.80/share back! LOL
P.S.
HAPPY that you're not
POSTING anymore, Printmail. Here's your hat, what's your hurry!
Matt!!!! This speed is GRRREAT! Now my "NEXT" button can function as a "DELETE" button. You are the MAN!!
Print, take a deep breath! The 1.5 mil was announced in a SeaView press release. That means we have to wait for it to happen. LOL
Golfnut
I know, "Wireless" jumped right out at me when I read it, too. They did go on to explain about "using existing wiring" later on in the copy. The problem with using that word is it connotates a whole different type of camera... one which we all know to be inferior to SecureView. Back in the 1950's, "wireless" was a good thing and "Made in Japan" was a bad thing. How thing change!
Golfnut
Shouldn't there be some dancing in the aisles here? That Smarthome link is the first time we've seen a SecureView actually "IN STOCK" Very encouraging!
Let me try this again.....

NEWS FLASH!!! Seahag goes wild......
deleting posts #6459, 6460, 6461, 6462, 6465, and 6467 in one fell swoop! After doing her duty, she was heard to have said some unkind remarks about Francois and the way he appoints Directors, and something about needing a drink!
TA, I'm not 100% sure, but I think the bubble pack might have been designed by George. (Think I heard that at the Open House)
Golfnut
FCB, that's my point. It's not a ginsu knife, it's a quality electronic product and I think the buying public expects it to be packaged like a VCR, DVD player or a video camera. Like you say, if it sells, who cares. But I think it will sell a lot better if it's packaged right.
