ZW bummer. Funny I just happened to think about this today and decided to check in. Oh well, fun while it lasted. Are you long anything else right now? Anything else in the bullpen you're excited about and feel has potential?
Some people just know the rules of the game better than us. Is what it is. An unfortunate lesson.
Some lessons are best learned the hard way. Been a fun ride if nothing else, I view this as paying for my education. Best, y'all.
On my Etrade Act this is showing up as: 29271K106 for .0015/Share. Here it's noted as 80 cents. Anyone have insight into what this means?
I promise I didn’t read this before I described Diedre as conniving or cast Zomby as Seth Rogan hahaha, but this is hilarious.
Regardless of the outcome, Zomby you could probably do pretty decent turning this shit into a novel.
So what was the outcome of the hearing then? Waiting on pins and needles haha!
It's so funny, I was literally logging on to find this document. Thanks for that.
This is pretty much the truest thing that’s been posted in months aside from the pacers.
Never been happier to be wrong about my prediction of this dragging for years
+1 for continues. I think this thing drags for years yet tbh
And they say chivalry is dead...
I’m pretty sure a football team of corporate lawyers, all the valuation experts, Billy, judge Andrews, and whoever else im missing, isn’t coming to Ihub to figure out the settlement figures will be...
You're probably right. I apologize for coming at you the other day. It was probably short sighted. As a rule of thumb, I tend to limit my energy put into things I have no control over and that's the genesis of my decision making.
I'm generally of the opinion that if it's to good to be true, it probably is and $1-$2/share always seemed to good to be true. Especially when there has been no contract from the leadership of the company. I always figured they would figure a way to cut out the little guy because that's how capitalism works. That being said, I'm thankful for all of your efforts to get us what we deserve. I wish I could contribute, it's just all outside of my realm of skills. Thanks again for your efforts.
Appreciate that. Your posts are some of the only ones I read, I’ll give another one a shot if you vouch for it.
Read the post he responded to
Pretty sure that was established on the final ‘822 hearing last year? Or maybe the year before? I can’t remember now. Maybe I’m imagining things, but I’m pretty sure that was the case.
I’ve never gotten close to a 12x return on any investment in my life. If I got a check for .12 a share, It would change the trajectory of my life and allow us to live in an area with the best school possible for our son with special needs. Y’all need to temper your expectations a bit. Yeah it wasn’t the $3 a share we all wanted, but that was never going to happen.
Does that modem count take into account that the patents only cover docsis 3.0, not 3.1? That was established months ago, right?
You’re right. I took it all into account with my guess though. Not that I had any clue about the waterfall or have any experience with this thing, only that the OTC is a scammy black market and I can’t wait to be done with it after uoip is over. It’s literally a cesspool where people prey on hard working people with big dreams and a poor understanding of how the markets work. Who said the OTC is full of shattered dreams and empty savings accounts? I glow? Shaj? Whatever, they’re not wrong and have been right about more than a few things over the years if we’re being honest with ourselves.
Heyyyyy! I may be the winner here. What do I get if I win? 1% of everyone’s earnings right?! :)
That’s exactly what I suggested yesterday. Truthfully it may be best for us all. Imagine a settlement comes in and the price runs to a buck and we all try to cash out, who’s going to buy all 1.6B shares at a buck? It’s not going to 2 or 3 or 4. The price would crash and no one would get paid. This has always made more sense to me than the other way around. The waterfall sucks, but if infinitely rather a special dividend than trying to play the market.
Alright, picking your brain here then — let’s say the stock was trading and jumped to .50 as has been postulated here. It’s not going to stay at .50, it’s a pump, it’s going to go back down nearly as quickly as it came back up. Then what? Maybe he offloaded 100m? Maybe more? Isn’t it a much less complicated option to take a dividend and not have to mess with the OTC? No pump and dumps, no MM manipulation of the share price, no SEC filings, no otc BS. It’s the gift that keeps on giving rather than losing his position in a company that has no other earnings and dealing with a market known for its volatility?
But he couldn’t have sold 900m shares without the price dipping, right? Who would have bought them? If he put 900m shares on the market, the PPS would have dropped like a rock. Rather if the company is delisted there’s no supply and demand, only a big cookie to be divided up amongst shareholders and he actually would get half a billion without the aggravation of the market volatility. Also, what else does UOIP even do? It’s a company not even in existence, right? They don’t make anything or do anything, right? All they had was a portfolio of very important patents and if the inventors didn’t want the company to run, only wanted to be paid for their work and retire rich, what’s the point in keeping the stock trading and trying to cash out when everyone will be trying to cash out at the top thus driving the price down?
Am I misguided here? Just throwing ideas at the wall.
I know some of you have contact info for the inventors, has there been any attempt of contact to/from them?
He’s right. Going in guns blazing 2 days after settlement will accomplish nothing. This is a game of chess, not checkers.
Jbbb, call Billy and see what’s good.
At least there's something new to read. That's kinda cool. No surprise they're using the pandemic to try to push it back (again). I can't imagine there's much legal precedent to delay a trial based on vaccine distribution, but it's an interesting tactic regardless. I also can't say that I would be interested in discovery opening up to see the chanbond ownership stuff play out. I can't imagine it would be good for us, but it would be something interesting regardless.
Nothing. Trial in a few months, nothing can happen until then. If we win, we start figuring out this Carter situation. If we lose, well, it doesn't matter. Regardless, I'm of the opinion we're several (if not "many") years away from seeing a dime from this if we see one at all. Put it in the back of your mind, live life, maybe there will be a certified letter with a check in it one day that would be a hell of a surprise.
That’s a bold strategy, Cotton.
This company is super confusing to me. They're supposed to be LIT play, but why the hell are they investing in obscure social media companies & crypto? Can someone elaborate where their focus lays?
This is gonna drop until news or they show that they're actually profitable. Hype train only got so much gas.
What are the major catalysts were looking for on this one?
Appreciate your thorough response. What makes you so sure the shares won't increase? I'm new to this one and the only DD I am finding seems to be news articles. Weeding through last years 10q right now. Tried to get in around .30s, 40s and couldn't get filled. Before I knew it, it as at .75 and figured there would be some consolidation soon and waited for it to settle before jumping in because I think long term potential is good enough to jump on after a run. Regardless, still curious about your confidence in lack of dilution as a future possibility.
I never suggested it's happening, only presenting thoughts. If there is 450MM authorized and 291MM outstanding, could there stand to be some dilution in the future? Becoming the a huge manufactured of Lithium is bound to induce some curiosity from big hedges looking to get in on the game? Expanding internationally, building new facilities, and trying to play ball with Musk, is bound to have them writing some checks they can't cash. I'm just spitballing ideas here hoping to have my worries shot down before I invest in something.
Every penny in the world is "going to paper" or "going to the moon!" any day, I'm just asking objectively what are the stumbling blocks ahead
No dilution, yet? Or No dilution, period? How do you know that?
Seems like a lot of room for dilution though? Am I reading into that wrong?
My shares are listed wrong. I have 546,000, it’s listed at 138 I think.
