I lost $26k day trading. I had some good days, but I just couldn't let go of a loser until it was really painful.
Most I made in a day was $3500. Most I lost was $12k. Thankfully, I was ahead by the 12k when I lost it.
I was down almost $25k once and it turned around to make a profit. That one was crazy. Rose like a rocket and fell like stone. I took a short thinking it would collapse at one point and kept averaging up. Eventually I lucked out, but it could have gone horribly wrong.
Day trading on 4X margin is CRAZY.
I'm planning on holding for trial results. I may flip some shares on a crazy pop over the flu if it happens but I doubt it.
I don't actually trade much anymore.
I've been holding ATHX for awhile. Figured I'd drop a bird dog on it since it has a chance to go big pretty soon.
They have a trial going on in Japan treating ARDS. ARDS is a complication of pneumonia and pneumonia is one of the complications of Coronavirus.
There is a active discussion going on Reddit. The ARDS trial is open label and expected to be enrolled later this year.

I'm not a big advocate for sticking our neck out and trying to treat Coronavirus. I think it's a risky idea to get involved with something that has a high mortality until our trial is completed.
The CEO of our Japanese partner has been Tweeting about the new flu virus. Their stock Healios has been rising all year and even more since Coronavirus has become a situation.

I don't see any posts that I've made. I put several in SWET and I'm pretty sure I tried ATHX. I also dropped one in Dead Stock Trading.
I can't see any of my own posts but apparently you saw one. I tried using the app and the web interface.
Shadobaned...
Shadobaned?
I guess I must have been banned. Probably because I popped off with a side bet of $100 when I read a post saying that someone had contacted the company.
The messed up part is that I had misread the comment. They claimed to have gotten a response saying that they were working on getting the funds to catch up on the financials but didn't have all the money.
So I guess the game is over for SWET. I guess Ron is getting too old to want to bother with it and Jr couldn't get any excitement going.
You can only cry wolf so many times before nobody believes you.
I guess I must have been banned...
I don't see any posts complaining about losing whatever money they had invested in this.
Obviously, there are gonna be some bagholders.
I wonder what the final tally was for cash generated by all those convertible notes? I think it was 10 million dollars at one point. That's a lot of unhappy investors.
I think Ron got me for about $3500, but I haven't held any stock for a few years.
Ooops, blurry eyed post.
I don't know how I missed that that was the response.
Guess my scepticism runs very very deep.
I bet you $1 you don't even get a reply.
Remember when they said that they had so many requests for PPAs that they couldn't handle them all? Something about "please resubmit" because we must have missed some? I bet that statement is still on their website.
This project was smoke and mirrors back then. Now it's just smoke. Really thin smoke that vaguely smells like weed.
The world's first solar road has turned out to be a colossal failure that's falling apart and doesn't generate enough energy, according to a report.
What a surprise...
Who called that?

Looks like Jr. is still ranting about the big bad bashes over on Twitter.
His ranting only confirms what we already know. He's not trying to build an enormous electrical generator in the desert that runs on water. He's just trying to get gullible people to buy shares. Just like his daddy did.
Looks like Jr. does in fact read the board.
He's over on Twitter and trash talking the trash talkers. Us...
I’ve literally proven that the technology can produce energy and videod it. But yet they can’t handle being wrong. So they take personal attacks. Too bad they won’t tell me who they are. I don’t hide behind a computer

You know Jr. reads this board, right?
He probably even created himself an account so he can pretend that someone believes his bullshit.
Although the apple fell close to the tree morally since he's obviously eager to duplicate his father's success. He apparently didn't inherent the necessary skills.
This horse is dead.
Find something new to scam people out of their money. You're father had multiple ideas through his lifetime. You can't come up with anything new?
He believes that daddy made a pile of money. That's all the belief he needs.
Too bad his skills are not good enough to do the same.
I bet he was really disappointed when he put all that work into the "we've been talking to someone who might possibly someday talk about financing" PR. I'm sure it didn't get the reaction he was hoping for.
Easy money isn't always as easy as you think.
This is a dead horse...
Ron's newest "Clean Power" electrical generator is the perpetual ferris wheel.
This time there is a working scale model. All they have to do is scale it up to ginormous size and it'll make as much electricity as Hoover Dam. Estimated cost 1.5 Billion dollars. They're looking for buyers to sign power purchase agreements as we speak.
Here's the prototype.

Pray for a breeze
Would you like to explain how a big tower that evaporates water into the atmosphere replaces groundwater?
I need a good laugh today...
And where does the groundwater come from? It doesn't come from the desert does it? A drought is going to effect the entire area, right?
Hang on... I misread that.
How much ground water is replaced? Replaced? That's an easy but absolutely unexpected question. Why would you ask such a stupid question?
Groundwater replaced?
0 gallons.
Groundwater used?
Wasn't it somewhere above 1 Trillion gallons a year?
The number was in acre/feet. An acre of ground covered by water. Wasn't it like 300 acre/feet? That's a whole lot of water.
How much would it cost to build that pipeline? Another billion?
Don't ask dumb ass questions that you know I already know the answer to....
It's the same as the land would have used if it were used for growing plants. A fact that is totally unsubstantiated.
If there ain't no water. You can't irrigate anyway...
Groundwater. Which is in direct competition with the millions of people in nearby California. If things get bad the needs of the many will outweigh the needs of the few or the one crazy ass power plant that runs on water.
Nobody is putting a billion dollars into a power plant that runs on water with water being in such short supply.

Freudian Slip...
The truth always shows through.
You apparently don't understand good theater. In order to sell your idea you have to get a few "endorsements".
Have you called any of them?
They'll deny everything...
So you don't think that using convertible notes to fund the company without shareholders approval or knowledge isn't suspicious?
How many millions of dollars did Ron harvest from his share selling business so far? I don't remember but it's significant.
All the while the insiders hold huge amounts of free shares so the naive amateurs can point to them and say that they haven't sold any shares.
That is exactly the definition of a scam.
Now Jr is trying his hand at the "family business". Only thing is he doesn't have the experience that Ron has. He played the "we might possibly someday eventually could GET FUNDING cause we have been talking about it with some people" card way too soon.
I bet he was disappointed...
All that wasted work filling out the paperwork.
There is a very good reason why they were trying to build a tower in the south western desert. It's all about the weather.
Repurposing a structure in another climate will start out with a big handicap because of the height of the tower and the diameter. The proposed tower is massive. A much smaller structure wouldn't work very well. Ronnie used this exact fact as an excuse for not building a prototype.
Any small tower refitted in a less than optimal environment is obviously going to have a very limited output. Plus there are probably plenty of days or even months that such a tower would be totally useless. When the humidity is too high it simply won't work. And don't forget about winter. Frozen water can't make electricity.
From what I saw in the first video that was posted the kiddo is going pretty low tech. Most of what he used might have came from Home Depot and cost less than a $1000.
So what can you tell me about your visit to the Salton Sea?
Was the fishing any good?
What about the water skiing?
Were the restaurants nearby good?
Did you stay overnight? Was the hotel/motel nice? Was it too expensive?
No, no it didn't...
Being eligible for something doesn't mean that it's ever going to actually happen. SWET has claimed eligibility of lots of ways to get money over the years. If you really had been reading everything for the last few years you'd know that.
They may not have made a legitimate penny so far but they've sold a absolutely enormous number of shares. Almost all of them sold through sneaky convertible notes.
Eligibility is essentially meaningless...
Since I'm a man I'm technically eligible to have sex with Ann Hathaway. Although I'm quite willing and eager I'm not going to hold my breath on that one.
Well, at least I've contributed to the group with my thoughts and opinions.
I was an optimist once....
I grew up in NM so evaporative cooling isn't a mystery for me. Unfortunately, there are lots of other things that seem to be pretty much insurmountable. Pumping the water all the way to the top is one difficult hurdle.
If you know the SWET people why haven't you spoken up before? There's been a lot of shit talking about them here over the years.
This thing runs on water, right?
Google up the Salton Sea.
I dare you...
Then tell me that this 1000 foot pipe dream has any chance of ever getting financed.
You do know that such a claim is absolutely meaningless coming from a account that isn't even 10 days old and only has 2 posts out of 4 that didn't get deleted.
Credibility = 0
Yeah, I mashed the report button too. Looks like the posts are gone.
He's not haunting you over SWET, right? Sounds like he lost a bunch of money on a stock you poo poo'd on. Blames you.
Course, he was threatening most of the other posters on SWET including me. Maybe it is because of SWET. Hard to tell what motivates the insane...
Wow, you apparently pissed someone off. Did you see those posts attacking you?
If there really is a pilot project it'd be a retrofit of an existing and much smaller tower.
Yeah, I would like to see some video of this project.
Solar Wind Energy Tower, Inc. Provides Arizona Project Update
August 23, 2018
ANNAPOLIS, MD, Aug. 23, 2018 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- via NEWMEDIAWIRE -- Solar Wind Energy Tower, Inc.(USOTC:SWET)(the "Company"), the innovator and creator behind the Solar Wind Downdraft Tower structures capable of producing abundant, inexpensive electricity to meet the world's increasing demand, announced today the following business update.
The Company announced today that Ron Pickett, CEO, presented on behalf of Arizona Green Power, LLC an update to the Mayor and City Council of San Luis, AZ relating to the proposed Solar Wind Energy Downdraft Tower for San Luis.
Ron Pickett as managing member of Arizona Green Power, LLC reported among many items, the following highlights:
The final design was completed earlier this year increasing the projected annual output from 3.7 million Megawatt Hours to 5.9 million Megawatt Hours.
The estimated total cost of the project remains at $1.55 billion. The final design incorporates 3 turbines per tunnel (originally projected 2 turbines per tunnel) and the cost savings associated with reducing the number and length of the tunnels from sixty 300’ tunnels to forty 150’ tunnels offset potential project cost increases due to increased product and labor rates.
The sellers of the land have agreed to cooperate with any necessary contract extensions to accommodate the financing to close.
Arizona Green Power, LLC has been working with potential investors to fund the project now that the total estimated project costs and output has been determined.
Arizona Green Power, LLC has engaged in preliminary discussions with potential Investment Tax Credit investors and brokers to form the Capital Stack for the project.
Arizona Green Power, LLC has a “verbal” proposal for the financing of the project with conditions and is evaluating the proposal and pursuing options to meet the conditions.
Arizona Green Power, LLC has had multiple meetings and information exchanges with the U.S. Department of Energy about potential assistance financing the project and that the DOE is very aware of the project and the project’s “potential”.
Finally, the Company explained to the City Council that it was participating in a “pilot” plant to demonstrate the downdraft system. Pickett explained that he had visited the pilot tower on Monday this week and the construction tasks had been completed, the specially designed water pumping and spraying system had been fabricated and was on-site ready for retro fitting the stack and that the project should be complete and ready for testing by the end of this month.
Pickett thanked the City of San Luis for their continued support for the project, noting that the project has taken much longer than originally anticipated, but with their continued support the Company is totally committed to bringing the Tower to San Luis, Arizona.
