The dollar is in a major up swing!
Europe and the rest of the world has to reflect and submit to this trend.
Gold, copper, iron, and basically all the commodities are fucked.
They all must trade in dollars.
Just as important, the trade of all countries must reflect this detriment.

Find a way to add to your discretionary funds or sell to advance your capital in your portfolio.
The Russel 2000 has crossed the 50 day moving average below the 200 day average.
This is a prelude to continuing profits as the Russel is the first to fall and the first to gain in a upward market.
The dollar hasn't met it's historical high.
You can dwell on this fact. It's your choice.
What is it that makes us unique?
What is it that makes us an individual?
Perhaps we quaff our hair or shave our face to present a unique presence.
Inside us,
the goals we embrace,
the motivation that propels us.......
the reality we wish to project for the future that we wish for ourselves,
is what we are.
I submit to you,
everyone who reads this;
We can create a disturbance in the universe!
Whe can manipulate Time and matter.
Whe can change reality.
This quandary of tea party absolutism and Obama Care (Affordable Health Act)
is a sign of desperation.
The idea of minority rule is against the principles of our Constitution.
Although, minority ideals are to be acknowledged and considered.......
My advise to the President:
Don't Let Your Deal Go Down!
I found this on youtube and it is is so inspiring!
It speaks so much of the evolution of mankind.
Here's a woman who was regarded...chastised, victimized and publicly humiliated by her peers,
as an out cast.
She was denigrated as the ugliest woman in her high school year book.
This is how humanity has always excelled!
Not that I could put into words the muse that inspired Janis......
It's that muse that propelled greatness.
It distills a person, it destroys ego.....
It has made the beasts of the Serengeti Plains into Humanity.
Humanity excels in confronting challenges.
It's not about winning or competition.....
It's about you. You define the path of future generations.
Here's Janis from her High School years:

Geeze, can I change that video I posted?
Or maybe this can add to the emotions.....?
............the transitions of emotions that protect us....
Our need for protection, security...
Is security a bubble of protection or an envelope of isolation?
........The life we have is so fleeting, so abbreviated in the course of change........
Perhaps this is what we all must find...
What we all must share and give.......
What we all must attain......
The idea that we all can love!
The ability that we can give love is our strength.
We all deserve it to be returned.......

My two cents on Syria:
The President of Syria has launched a chemical attack on the population.
Now, we all realize the Middle East has been a contentious place since the creation of known history of mankind.
It's been called the 'cradle of civilization'.
I submit to you:
The forces that guide our humanly and produced Governments have been inverted!
To wit:
The need of Government to develop the human condition has lost it priority and the need of humanity to preserve government has gained importance.
In other words:
People have banded together to create government in the past and
Now government has manipulated the population to maintain it's authority.
It's happened before.
It's not government that is to blame. People are government.
And don't blame people......we haven't evolved/devolved in any significant way for thousands of years.
(Our brains are just the same as they were when we built the Pyramids)
It's not about a war with Syria or air strikes or retaliation.
It's about people.
And if the government of Syria, or any other country, has placed itself above the population than it has lost it's relevance.
Humanity must find a way for justice to prevail.
We will move on.
We will change our priorities.
Government will serve the population when the population serves it's fellow man.
Change takes generations!

The warehousing of commodity mettle by major banks is drawing to an end.
Morgan Stanley Sees the End of LME Warehouse Trades
http://blogs.wsj.com/moneybeat/2013/08/05/morgan-stanley-sees-the-end-of-lme-warehouse-trades
This is dated August 5.
One can only hope this is the end of manipulation in the metals commodity market.
Sorry for the late reply......
Your post expresses the need for balance that inspired this board.
The Great experiment that is self rule!
The idea that humans can rule themselves is the Democratic experiment.
Capital gain and personal fortune has been the driver and the major influence of the human condition.
In itself, that isn't a bad thing.
---------------------------------------------
Mathematically, there will always be 1%.
Weather it be the financially prominent or the dregs of society.
What is important (in my understanding) is the motion of time.
Time, the progression of change, is a factor in every dimension.
That is; the advancement of the human condition must adhere to the motion of time.
Our place in this world, our space in time as a place in our universe must advance as the best and least expand their understanding.
We're all inter related and tied to our galaxy....our universe.
We are a success when we all can grow.
True growth takes generations,
millenniums pass and the ebbs and flows of human culture are subject to our planetary and galactic evolution.
Our simple economy is subject to the wealth of the most destitute.
One can be wealthy simply because there is poverty.
True success is measured within the distance between my ears.
Love is the gift we give.
We offer our hearts and await.
It's a gift we offer and we are strengthened by it.
What is important is that we can give.
if that gift is not received than we must know that we deserve more.
We must know that we are strengthened by our gift.

Lobbyists.
Destroy the lobbyists.
On a different subject....why would anyone reduce taxes on the wealthy?
Those who merit from economical success should give the most.
They pay the lobbyists!
Real protein and nutritional value in fruits and vegetables have value in a market.
Subsidies are necessary for confused markets that may be subject to weather or trends in the market that devalue real nutritional value.
Here's the bottom line:
Work.
It's the value of production to bring a product to market.
It's the human, animal and land expenditure/cost to feed a population.
Not only do we need to produce a product (any product)
we need to understand the cost to reproduce that product.
Not only that.....
We need to understand the cost to recycle the waste (or the future potential) of product.
With a population growth rate of 1% the total will be a doubling of the population in 70 years.
Anything else must consider a free market as a delusion and Government as the sole arbiter of regulation to provide for population and distribution of natural resources.
You're not married!
Destiny is a four letter word: w-i-f-e.......LOL!
She makes a house into a home.
We've got to protect her financially, and support her.
A solitary man can find his destiny, his path reduces risk as variables are reduced.
But we are gregarious. And we have relationships.
We must ask ourselves; 'can this person add to our lives?'
No one truly knows how the relationship will equate in the measure of universal energy yet if we commit to it we (I or you) change destiny with our determination for success.
Yea, we can make it work or we can fail.
Reminds me of a song...........lol

Poverty and obesity are nutrition problems.
Government subsidies can go horribly wrong.
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/09/22/farm-subsidies-junk-food_n_975711.html
Subsidies for corn offer cheep prices for junk food, sweeteners.
My opinion is that lobbyists have the ear of Congress above the voices for free market value of protein above factory processed junk food.
I'm paying about $3.00 for a bag of frozen corn.
The raw material for Doritos.......
highly processed food should cost much more.
On a completely different subject................
I've speculated on a 3x silver ETF: USLV .
I've bought in, just now, at market come Monday.
The price on Friday is $6.24.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
To answer your post:
Choose your own destination, your own path, your own joys and objectives.
You can choose your own goals.
In our world the nature of man has customized the consumption of food as capitalism has dictated!
Capitalism has produced calories for consumption as reward for money.
Maybe that makes no sense. Maybe we don't understand the relationship of profit and proteen.
Famine is the the lack of nutrition.
Obesity is the absorption of unused calories.
Here's a clue:
When cheep food is offered to poverty stricken people they buy it.
When Dorito's are cheaper than steak than we buy Dorito's.
When ground beef is $3.00 per pound and Chips are $2.00 per lb.
When fish is $7.00 for haddock, $9.00 for tuna.
When pork is $4.00 for chops and $2.50 for shank.......
Obesity is a necessary instinct that is developed from the lack of proper nutrition.
Bless you Zorro! It's in singing that we loose our fear.
That's what I wished to describe.
A song that would mask our fears, our vulnerability.....
To show our strength and our resolve....
A mantra is just a sound of presence.
It need not be some holy reflection of our soul.
It strengthens us.
It offers us a sound to rise above the noise.
A sound to focus on our drive.
A sound to make our dream real.
Fear is the looser, fear is our envelope.
It's not the song....it's our will to sing.
Disappointing! There has been two houses/properties that have failed from our house inspectors.
The last 4.3 acre property had a bridge over a stream that needed replacement and totaled over $50,000 in repairs.
The bridge is $20,000 to replace.
We had to walk away from it.
Every home owner who wants to sell has to offer a 'Discloser document'.
This is a legal document that can be used to sue the seller if/when a problem is discovered after the sale.
We brought an engineer to evaluate the bridge over the stream and his inspection was a life expectancy less than your average coffee maker (2 to 5 years).
We would have tried to negotiate a reasonable settlement but the home inspection discovered thousands more in restorations that were not disclosed. (electric, squirrel infestation, siding, windows, fireplace, etc.)
Now that we know the seller was not the least forthcoming in his signed dis closer we don't know just how much is hidden.
Here's a lovely little ditty from the sea faring days of the 17th century.
Wailing was the fortune of speculation. The great adventure of the day.
To pit one's measure against the forces of nature and the behemoths of the deep,
to forgo the security of mother earth and embrace the rapture of the the sea.....
Offering servitude and commitment to a captain and crew who were all captive on a floating oaken boat adrift in an expanse that would be like space to the stars and planets.
And so they sing!.........such is the strength of our mantra, our song.
It can also involve people as slaves.
Destined to fulfill a life in servitude.
There's no doubt that this idea of humanity being a equity can have a very negative path.
The question I propose is:
Humanity is our most basic equity.
Shouldn't we find a path to educate?
Language, Math, writing are fundamental.
Health, sustenance, independence are all important.
How much Government supply takes from the independence of the individual.
The only true commodity is 'people'.
The only true value is humanity.
The real economy is human.
Land, Gold, equities, bonds....relies on a human element.
Humanity is the ultimate equity and we've chosen to screw them!
We've chosen derivatives over a tangible asset, humanity!
Because, the fact is, humanity is invaluable!
There is such a load off my back.............
Of course, I've always searched for my Chi. I've used it throughout my time in earning a living.
Now that I'm retired I've seen the pressure released from a world that chases it's tail.
Our life is a journey in a universe that seeks it's equilibrium just as water seeks it's level.
Forces have to be negated and reconciled, energy must find it's path.
Yes, It's a circular logic:
It's debt or interest depending upon your perspective.
If you beg a loan then you seek a lower interest, if you lend you seek to hold your monetary value against inflation.
We chase a depleting return:
If we borrow we must produce abundance to pay the loan and a life for our family.
If we lend we must protect against the failure of the loan and inflation caused by over production.
In any scenario.......the devaluation of the dollar has fucked both.
Play the Market for now and be nimble for the future.
Find your inner you, your motivation, your Chi....
I know who I am and yet it's who I was and it's all so similar to who you are..........
It's all so changing, so dynamic....
and it's all so identical to every one.
It's our similarities that we should find strength.
Our differences are obvious.
When I was young, it seemed that life was so wonderful,
a miracle, oh it was beautiful, magical.
And all the birds in the trees, well they'd be singing so happily,
joyfully, playfully watching me.
But then they send me away to teach me how to be sensible,
logical, responsible, practical.
And they showed me a world where I could be so dependable,
clinical, intellectual, cynical.
There are times when all the world's asleep,
the questions run too deep
for such a simple man.
Won't you please, please tell me what we've learned
I know it sounds absurd
but please tell me who I am.
Now watch what you say or they'll be calling you a radical,
liberal, fanatical, criminal.
Won't you sign up your name, we'd like to feel you're
acceptable, respecable, presentable, a vegtable!
At night, when all the world's asleep,
the questions run so deep
for such a simple man.
Won't you please, please tell me what we've learned
I know it sounds absurd
but please tell me who I am.
I've retired!
Thanks to everyone who contributed to this humble board.
You've added to my life, opened my mind to new thoughts, question my beliefs and pushed me to be a better me.
May God bless you all with great good luck.
My wife found a nice bi-level house in a rural setting with 1.4 acres, well water, fruit trees, swimming pool w/picket fence.....
Her dream house.
The garage is mine! Hahahaha
I've been putting my efforts into new doors, windows, drywall in the old place.
It's like a vacation for me........doin' what I'm doin'.
Civilization has advanced and one of the biggest events of modern mankind is the Industrial Revolution.
Before the Industrial Revolution the only 'corporations' were towns.
Corporations are made exclusively for profit today.
Sacrifice!
She simply doesn't understand Humanity in all of it's attributes.
The ability to have strength and offer one's energy to advance humanity.
There is a quote:
"Only the strong will survive."
Humanity is much more than that.
Even the publication of Ayn Rand's fiction is the product of people who sacrificed their security to allow free speech.
-------------------------------
We are all independent.
We are all dependent on those around us.
It's the dichotomy of human interaction:
I have value as others offer me value....
As I contribute to others,
I become important to them.
And, in turn, they attribute value to me.
Margret Thatcher supported 'nationalized health care' for England.
Of course, Ronny Reagan and Marge agreed on De-regulation.
Here we are.....30 years latter......
Mired in a sluggish economy with no one to blame but Obama.
If that principle of deregulation was successful,
If Health care was universal........
Thatcher and Reagan would be heroes.
They are not!
Another Ayn Rand wack-a-doodle.
Any job can be done by a monkey.
It's easy, just put in the time and fill out the paperwork.
Try to do a good job and the pressure mounts.
If you want to do the best job possible then you have goals....
You find answers to problems....
You learn discipline....
You develop skills.....

Anybody can fall off a diving board into water.
To qualify for the Olympics, to excel as the best diver is up to the individual.
Just like cleaning toilets or serving Paul Ryan.
One must look beyond the turds.
Sorry for the delay in response.......
Ayn Rand has made Libertarianism a four letter word.
Can you believe that Arlo Guthrie is a Libertarian?
This is a really great quote from Oliver Wendell Holmes:
"The right to swing my fist ends where the other man's nose begins."
My mistake? or is this a legal premise for preferential treatment?
As an individual,
Can you substantiate a quality that you have established that would make you a superior human?
A citizen that should have preference above some lower denomination?
Perhaps you don't believe the Declaration of Independence should relate to the Constitution?
In my opinion, the Constitution states that all men are created equal.
Does that mean that we are not equal as we progress in years?
Some earn more than others as their efforts produce more as measured in financial gain.
Some are educated above the medium norm.
Should they have some preference in our law?
NO!
All men/woman are equal in law.
You don't believe you are equal to every other individual?
Forgive me but the ability to understand and accept equality is beyond your capacity.
According to your definition, that would make you a sub-human.
Your definition:
Constitutional, lawful freedom is very simple.
Yet it took 100 years and a civil war to end slavery.
Another 50 years to acknowledge woman's vote.
And almost 200 years to accept voter's rights.
The Constitution is truly dynamic.
Jefferson was inspired when he wrote it beyond the ability of humanity to accept the revolutionary changes.
These are not some 'progressive ideals'.
The Constitution is a path to promote individualism above Monarchy.
The great experiment is to allow the masses to control their destiny.
The law must decide on the legality of the union between two individuals.
The Law has the responsibility to support the commitment of individuals.
There's a real problem with marriage and it's called 'divorce'.
Historically marriage was defined as:
The union of a man and a woman.
I can't find any such words in the bible but the closest is in Genesis 2:22-24
"22 Then the LORD God made a woman from the rib he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man. 23 The man said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called 'woman, ' for she was taken out of man." 24 For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh."
http://www.biblestudytools.com/genesis/passage.aspx?q=Genesis+2:22-24
In religious text there is no divorce.
A man or woman who marries for the second time is married twice.
-------------------------------------------------------------------
But this is a civil matter not a religious debate.........
It's the law that recognizes the union of a man and a woman in marriage.
And recognizes divorce as the end of legal commitment.
And law can only exert jurisdiction on profit/loss:
Justice in the civil courts cannot dictate emotional expression.
As the courts have no way to evaluate love as an asset.
In other words; the Supreme Court has no power to reduce the choices any American might accept in commitment to emotional union.
And the Constitution recognizes every American to be independent and an equal to any American.......
Availing him/her to law.......
And subject to the responsibilities and liberties of the Constitution
Since the Supreme Court accepted these cases they should recognize the legal commitment of marriage.
There is that darker side to our economy.
That side that might be attributed to conspiracy.
I believe that conspirators do exist.
They have been around for millennium.
Any market place has them.
What draws my attention is the prevalence and importance of aggressive ambition.
(Just my terminology)
Most of us have goals the relate to our family and children.
We want to play the game and adhere to the rules.
Testing the boundaries of the rules and our talents brings a modest profit to our efforts.
Innovation and creativity may offer substantial rewards above the norm.
Then there are other machinations:
Manipulation, coercion and political influence that can skew the market.
These are human failings. They are self destructive.
The US Dollar is the world currency.
America dictates trade in a market provided by fiat currency.
Since Nixon abandoned the Brenton Woods accord and the gold standard to denounce the debt of the Vietnam War.
Carter was left with double digit inflation.
Reagan deregulated.
Senior Bush presided over the collapse of Savings and Loans as the result.
Clinton advanced deregulation with over riding votes in the Senate and Congress for Bowles/Simpson.
Bush demanded new economic growth and found it in housing.
And here we are.....four years after the financial collapse of the World's credit system.
One Easter Sunday at Church..........
A Higgs boson walks into a church.
The priest stops him and says; "What are you doing here?"
Higgs: "are you kidding?, You can't have mass without me!"
Botta Bing
Botta Boom.
Political evolution, the distribution of communication with the internet and the absent standard of currency should be the straw that breaks the back of National boundaries.
After a top in September of 2011,
the weekly price of gold has formed a channel.
Nineteen months of bouncing within about $300 from bottem to top.
Less than 20% over the bottem to the top
and about 16% from top to bottem.
overall.....
Gold is due to test the channel's boundaries.
Just as there was a blow-off top back in August/September of 2011 that priced gold at $1923........
A bottem can be 10% below the channel (about $1400).
Summer months of June and July have a history of weakness in gold price......
Just my guess.
I see it as an ideology gone mad.
The idea that money will 'trickle down' when regulations are removed?
Supply-side economics is an abortion of basic economic principle.
If there is a conspiracy than this is the smoking gun.
Freedom is for people not corporations.
Just as a side:
JP Morgan spent $16 Billion in litigation since 2009.
Their lawyers are better than ours? lol
