Looks like Tiger "Sling the" Woods may be back and better than ever soon. Seems his dear young lady is willing to stay...Even though that may be a pub stunt for ashort while..What a time to hit a grand slam..
Nice, if only I could have summed it up in one line like you have.
i wid ya there. On the course |I will alwasy admire him - once he throws the clubs in the truck he is a stinking pig
Morals and ethics aside, Tigers return will certainly be the largest draw viewer-wise the PGA has seen in quite some time. Something I believe they would currently welcome.
Being a firm believer in family values, I feel its not like he had one or two affairs in difficult times. He simply took what he could get, and that shows no family concern or values, which can be removed and seperate from any addiction and IMO the treatment is no more than damage control to attempt to protect his wealth.
All said, I hope he gets something out of this rehab thing, although I cant understand why she would trust him at this point regaurdless. I feel Tiger simply showed that gaining such substantial wealth at such a young age simply is a typical scenario for implosion.
As a golfer, Ill be cheering him on, after all hes earned that, but as a husband and father, hes toast.
He owes that to the PGA...Good for him if its true...I think the fact that the vast majority of Golfers did not throw him under the bus made some difference...
Tiger Woods could be out of sex rehab and back on the links in two weeks, an Australian newspaper reported Wednesday.
Woods is "poised to make a shock return to competitive golf" in the upcoming Accenture Match Play Championship in Arizona, according to the Herald Sun of Melbourne, which did not cite a source.
The top spokesman for the PGA Tour would not confirm the Herald Sun story.
"We have no comment," Ty Votaw said.
Still, if true, this would mark the first time Woods competed in a golf tournament since the sex scandal that ruined his good-guy reputation exploded around Thanksgiving.
Tiger won the Accenture tournament in 2003, 2004 and 2008.
But Accenture was one of the first corporations to dump Woods as a pitchman following revelations that the golfing great cheated on his wife with a bevy of babes.
After apologizing for his "transgressions," Woods announced he was taking a break from pro golf and trying to salvage his marriage to Elin Nordegren.
Recently, Woods was spotted at a sex addiction clinic in Mississippi.
Earlier, another golfing legend, Tom Watson, predicted that Woods would return "probably this year" in an interview with an NBC affiliate in Kansas City.
Meanwhile, kinky porn actress Joslyn James (real name Veronica Siwik-Daniels) was expected to dish later Wednesday on her "longterm, intimate relationship with Tiger Woods."
James "was in love with him and had every reason to believe he loved her," her high-powered lawyer, Gloria Allred, said.
Allred also reps New York party girl Rachel Uchitel, the first of the women Woods reportedly bedded to be outed.
James reportedly is upset that the Canadian golf ball manufacturer, Creative Classics, included her in their "Mistress Collection."
Each "Tail of the Tiger" golf ball features a portrait of a woman Woods reportedly bedded.
James "is concerned that the risk of violence against women may be increased because of this product," Allred said.

(CBS/ AP) According to the Melbourne (Australia) Herald Sun, Tiger Woods could be back playing competitive golf as early as Feb. 17 at the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship in Tucson.
"Only a fortnight after allegedly checking into a sex addiction clinic in Mississippi, the world No. 1 is set to stun the world by returning to the Dove Mountain course where he made his comeback from knee surgery last year," according to the newspaper.
However, notes the L.A. Times, the paper is merely citing "strengthening whispers" and nothing concrete.
Woods has been in seclusion and sex addiction rehab since admitting multiple marital infidelities in November.
Earlier Wednesday, Tom Watson said Woods needs to "show some humility to the public" when he returns to golf after sorting out his personal life. Watson also said that Woods should clean up his on-course behavior in order to be considered among the true greats of the game.
The 60-year-old Watson, one of golf's elder statesmen, also criticized Woods a 14-time major winner for bad language and other on-course behavior.
local news just reported TIGER reported by aussie new to play as soon as the Match Play.

Tiger’s Right to Privacy or Expectation of Scrutiny
There’s more to Tiger’s current plight than simply being a private matter. For starters, a marriage contract is open to public scrutiny and is licensed and regulated by the state. The PGA wouldn’t be interested applying “conduct unbecoming” rules for marital problems but there are a few other issues to consider. There are allegations of recreational drug use. There is speculation that violations of the Mann Act may have occurred in transporting women across state lines for illegal purposes. There is speculation that RICO statutes may have been violated which is something that Eliot Spitzer faced. There have been allegations of prostitution. There is a story circulating that the state of Florida is investigating allegations of domestic violence. There are tax implications for questionable travel and entertainment deductions that may have been paid through one of Tiger’s charitable foundations. There are also business consequences for publicly traded companies that may tally hundreds of millions if not billions of dollars.
Tiger is the world’s best known athlete. The Tiger story is the sports story of the decade. The Tiger story affects Wall Street. There are enough allegations to potentially keep public courts and agencies busy for years. The explanation offered by Tiger’s apologists that his problems are only private concerns does not ring true.
Hey red: remember Nirvana, "Well I'm half the man I used to be"...I would love to see Big John win this year...
i think he should hire a model to carry his bag...
Along that line, Johnny Miller blames his sudden demise on muscle building. His was unintentional, though. he spent an off season chopping wood, etc, on his ranch, built some muscle and lost his touch ... according to him.
Thats just a schtick. I think he should come out and play a round in a Tux. Now that would create some buzz.
LOL!! the Golf channel is in over drive trying to create some kind of golfer of interest to fill the Tiger gap. Daly & Mickelson are about the only two Americans out there with a personality. The rest seem as interesting to me as day old oatmeal.
cool....dont have to worry about you takin him in the pool....lol
Tiger makes me sick....
I am with you 100% 146 guys in my golf pool only 3 of us took Tiger.
I think he will be playing again before the masters...
it's a who has no sin cast the 1st stone situation..I think he is being punished enough by his downfall, loss of wife and limited access to his children...oh yeah and tens of millions....
as long as he is at the master's
hey....wadda i know !!!
Get real...what sanctions...for what? Having sex with many partners while being married...
My guess is Bay Hill...
what abbout the PGA...they sure have been quiet....what about conduct unbecoming a player...
ya think sanctions are coming for tiger....or just privately.
No matter. I won't be tuning in. ( :
I think he will be playing again before the masters...
i hope it gets settled one way or another....golf dont need this.
If he were single he could swing it without regret....
sounds like a typical american boy story....im the same....i think tiger was having problems at home with elin....for whatever reason i would imagine she cut him off so he went outside for satisfaction
I will be entirely honest - I was a complete dog in my early years. first from the time I was 17 until 22 I played hockey mostly and I travelled. Later as a beer rep until iw as 26. I chased everything good looking - but I wasnt epsecially good looking and wasnt ever going to make the NHL and was a 7th defensemen on Junior and senior bush leage semi pro teams.
IF I had been good looking superstar with wads of money I am sure my results in chasing the ladies would of been a lot different and maybe I would of been a sex addict too. If you dont get sex are you still an addict LOL
now the good news at 29 I married a beautiful woman and have been faithful for 17 years.
yep....'Perks of being a billionaire
He is in REHAB for one reason only and its all about $$$$$$$$$ - It was all he had left to try and save marriage. I wish him luck because if it works - well lets just say a lot of guys gonna park that exucse in their back pocket for future use when caught.
he is all in with 2 8 offsuit right now because he had the short stack - he had no choice and right now by all accounts it was a wasted effort. Sorry I dont buy the whole sex addict thing. And it appears as if niether does ELIN. good for her
Here is my question. if he had not been caught would he be there - NO of course not. here is the reason he was bedding all these women - BECAUSE HE COULD
if youve ever heard about rehab....non of it is fun....
OH I bet he wilol like this part LOL
If indeed in the treatment facility in Mississippi, Weiss said Woods will experience several types of treatment, including group therapy, personal counseling, homework, exercises, and psychiatric evaluation.
John Daly's show begins March 01, 2010. Not sure of the time slot...should be interesting...
(CBS) Numerous reports claim Tiger Woods is being treated for sex addiction at Pine Grove Behavioral Health and Addiction Services in Hattiesburg, Miss.
Could the treatment work for the golf great?
According to self-described recovering sex addict Cory Schortzman, it could.
Cory and his wife, Kerry Schortzman, appeared on "The Early Show" to share their ongoing struggle with Corey's sex addiction.
Corey explained his sex addiction was fantasies, "self-sex" and emotional affairs with several women he worked with. He said he had no physical intimacy with other women.
"Early Show" co-anchor Maggie Rodriguez remarked that Corey's addiction doesn't sound like a "traditional" sex addiction.
The man who treated Cory, psychologist and sex addiction specialist Dr. Doug Weiss, the executive director of Heart to Heart Counseling Center in Colorado Springs, Colo., told Rodriguez sex addictions can take many forms.
"Well, Maggie, you might be thinking of the guy in the bookstore as the sex addict, but actually most guys are on the Internet, have jobs, and most of it involves pornography and self behavior," he said. "Some of them will go out and have affairs or prostitutes or sex with strangers, anonymous encounters, but most are really married guys at home, hours on the Internet, while their wife is right next door and they could be with them."
Kerry Schortzman has stayed beside her husband through five-and-a-half years of treatment. She said a marriage can survive sex addiction.
"There's hope, there definitely is, and I think, as a woman, you just need to have mercy and grace to allow your spouse to just go through that process of healing, and it does take time," she said.
But could sex cravings actually be considered a compulsion - an addiction?
Weiss said Woods -- like many people before him -- do suffer from a legitimate addiction.
Weiss called Woods a "poster boy" for sex addition. Weiss said the golf star has now joined the ranks of other reportedly sex-addicted stars, such as David Duchovny, Halle Berry's ex-husband, Eric Benet, and Michael Douglas.
"They have everything, and yet they choose this out-of-control behavior, and they've tried to stop on their own. They've often have histories of abuse and abandonment. And their own pain they haven't dealt with and it shows up in these behaviors," Weiss said. "It's definitely an addiction because it's kind of like -- it's insane behavior. It makes no sense. You have a beautiful wife - and every man in America does -- and you choose to look at the images or get into relationships that are not good for you, they're not good for your family. It makes no sense. It is an addiction."
If indeed in the treatment facility in Mississippi, Weiss said Woods will experience several types of treatment, including group therapy, personal counseling, homework, exercises, and psychiatric evaluation.

still seems like a ways to go for him...always seemed arrogant and aloof to me. Has he changed any?...
After his Open Championship win, Duval entered a downward spiral in form that saw him drop to 80th on the money list in 2002, and 211th in 2003, prompting an extended break from the game. Numerous reasons have been postulated for the decline, including back, wrist, and shoulder problems; private difficulties; and a form of vertigo. Duval has not won a tournament since his 2001 Open Championship victory on the PGA Tour. His last worldwide win was the Dunlop Phoenix Tournament in November 2001, on his 30th birthday. His 30s have proved much less lucrative on the golf course.
Many commentators believed Duval's career to be over, but he returned to golf in 2004 at the U.S. Open, where he shot 25 over par and missed the cut. Duval has struggled since his return with his best results a T-13 at the 2004 Deutsche Bank Championship and a T-16 at the 2006 U.S. Open. He made the cut in only one PGA Tour event in 2005, but did finish in the top ten at the Dunlop Phoenix tournament in Japan. While Duval at his peak was viewed as aloof and distant and was not a fan favorite, now galleries sympathize with his plight and root for him to overcome his issues and to enjoy playing golf.
Duval had a successful start to the 2006 PGA Tour season, making the cut in his first two tournaments, as well as a very respectable finish of T-16 at the U.S. Open Championship at Winged Foot Golf Club, where his second round 68 was good enough for a tie as the best round of the tournament. Despite not reaching the same heights in the remaining two majors of the year, his performances continued a general upward trend, with none of the rounds of 80+ that had become so familiar in the previous years.
After a steady start to 2007 during the West Coast Swing, Duval once again disappeared from the tour. He later revealed that this was due to a difficult pregnancy his wife was going through. This prompted the PGA Tour to amend its medical exemption policies - and Duval was granted twenty starts for next season.
After a lackluster first half of the year, Duval inexplicably reappeared on the leaderboard of The Open Championship, rekindling memories of his major victory. He shot 73-69-83-71 for the week and finished T-39.
In 2009, Duval used his final career money exemption on the PGA Tour. He made his first cut of 2009 at the AT&T Pebble Beach National Pro-Am in February. However, he stormed back onto the golf scene with a T2 finish at the 2009 U.S. Open at Bethpage Black. After going through sectional qualifying, Duval made the most of his first appearance in the U.S. Open since 2006. Going into the final round, Duval was four shots behind eventual winner Lucas Glover. Duval made a triple bogey at the par three 3rd hole, but rebounded with three straight birdies from 14 to 16. He stood on the tee of the 71st hole in a tie for the lead, but his par putt lipped out on the hole, and he finished tied for second, two shots behind Glover. It was his best finish on tour since the 2002 Memorial Tournament. After the Open, Duval jumped 740 spots in the Official World Golf Rankings from 882 to 142.[2]
I attributed it to the physical changes he made to his body when he buffed up. That, and the mental things that must have been going on with his new friendship with Tiger and breaking his contract with Titleist.
Now, he's back to looking a bit like the Pillsbury Dough Boy.
A place to discuss Tiger Woods...
Go for it!
OH well It seems that this thread was created to discuss Tiger. Tiger and golf can be discussed on the Golf thread but this one really for Tiger the person. Of course this all started with the car accident at 2:30 am in late November as infidelity allegations were starting to emerge. Since then in the ensuing ten days or so we are now up to no less that 6 alleged Mistresses. All 6 are Hostesses or waitresses.
here they are in order
1.) Rachel Uchitel. The club hostess was the first of the women to be linked to Woods after the National Enquirer reported that she traveled to Australia to be with Woods during a golf tournament there. So far, she has denied the affair.
2.) Jamie Grubbs. The 24-year-old reality show contestant and cocktail waitress claims she carried on a 31-month-long affair with Woods until his crash last month. She offered a Woods voicemail to prove it.
3.) Kalika Moquin. The 27-year-old club manager from Las Vegas is reported to have had a brief sexual relationship with Woods. She would neither confirm nor deny the report.
4.) Cori Rist. The 31-year-old swimsuit model reportedly met Woods at a Manhattan club last year before they began a sexual relationship that led to Woods flying her out to various secret locations for hook-ups, and her introducing the golfer to her 7-year-old son.
5.) Jamie Jungers. The 26-year-old, who sold her story to a British newspaper, is a former employee of Trashy Girls Lingerie. She said she met Woods in Las Vegas.
6.) Mindy Lawton. The 33-year-old pancake house waitress from Orlando claims she was dumped by Woods in 2007. According to the Post, it was her affair with Woods that was caught on camera by the National Enquirer, when he was snapped dropping her off at her trailer park. The threatening news later led to a Woods Men’s Fitness cover in exchange for the magazine’s silence about the alleged affair, the New York Post reports.
7.) Holly Sampson. The 36-year-old from Los Angeles is a former porn star, who has starred in such films as “OMG, Stop Tickling Me” and “Flying Solo 2.” According to the Sun, she has neither confirmed nor denied her affair with Woods.
8.) Unidentified Alleged Mistress No. 8. A former cocktail waitress from Orlando, Fla. does want to reveal her identity yet, according to attorney Michael O’Quinn. At the time the affair allegedly began, she was 20 years old and met Woods at the Roxy in Orlando, where she was a VIP server.
9.) Unidentified Alleged Mistress No. 9 is reported to be a “sexy” British TV presenter who was single at the time, but is now married.
10.) Unidentified Alleged Mistress No. 10. is reported in a UK paper to be a “sex-addicted cougar.”
