(CBS/ AP) According to the Melbourne (Australia) Herald Sun, Tiger Woods could be back playing competitive golf as early as Feb. 17 at the WGC-Accenture Match Play Championship in Tucson.

"Only a fortnight after allegedly checking into a sex addiction clinic in Mississippi, the world No. 1 is set to stun the world by returning to the Dove Mountain course where he made his comeback from knee surgery last year," according to the newspaper.

However, notes the L.A. Times, the paper is merely citing "strengthening whispers" and nothing concrete.

Woods has been in seclusion and sex addiction rehab since admitting multiple marital infidelities in November.

Earlier Wednesday, Tom Watson said Woods needs to "show some humility to the public" when he returns to golf after sorting out his personal life. Watson also said that Woods should clean up his on-course behavior in order to be considered among the true greats of the game.

The 60-year-old Watson, one of golf's elder statesmen, also criticized Woods a 14-time major winner for bad language and other on-course behavior.
