Tiger is on a housing spending frenzy since finalizing divorce. Says he will pay back a 54 million dollar mortgage by 2016. Thats impressive...Add this to the Manhattan bachelors pad he purchased last week and all you can say is WOW...The gals will be knocking his door(s) down...

Tiger Woods spent part of his practice round Tuesday with Sean Foley, the swing coach for Sean O'Hair and Hunter Mahan. On two holes, Foley videotaped Woods' swing from both the front and the back.

KOHLER, Wis. -- Tiger Woods played a practice round Tuesday at the PGA Championship with a swing coach at his side.

Sean Foley is not Woods' coach -- at least not yet.

The Canadian-born coach who lives in Orlando, Fla., confirmed that Woods asked him to take a look at his swing. Asked if he was working with Woods, Foley paused and said, "I wouldn't say that."

"But the possibility is there," Foley said. "I'm just taking a look at him. The advice I would give any player is to have at least two people look at your swing."

It was the second time in three months that Foley has been part of Woods' group in a practice round. Neither time was unusual because Woods was playing with two of Foley's clients, Hunter Mahan and Sean O'Hair.

The difference at Whistling Straits came on the par-5 fifth hole, when Foley took out his video camera to tape Woods' swing. Foley later stood below the eighth tee on a cart path to capture his swing from in front of him.

"I did ask him to film a couple I would like to take a look at -- which I did look -- so I'm heading in the right direction," Woods said.

Woods didn't look at the videotape on the golf course. On the 10th tee, Foley and Woods had a brief conversation before the coach dropped back to work with Stephen Ames, another client.

Woods has been without a coach since he parted ways with Hank Haney in May. They had worked together for six years. The only other coach the world's No. 1 player employed as a professional was Butch Harmon, which lasted until 2003.

Woods has said he would not have a coach, instead relying on a friend at home in Orlando to videotape his shots. Asked if it were possible for Foley to be his next coach, Woods replied, "Certainly it's a possibility, no doubt."

"But there's also a lot of other coaches out there that's a possibility, as well, that I've talked to," Woods said. "I wanted to have him take a look at it today on video so I can take a look at it, and that's what we did."

Mahan, who began working with Foley two years ago at the PGA Championship, described the Woods-Foley relationship as "another set of eyes right now."

"Could be something more, you never know," Mahan said. "I have a feeling they're going to talk about that in private and then figure that out in the next few weeks or months. But I don't know exactly what they're doing together."

After Foley dropped back with Ames, it was O'Hair who stood behind Woods to check out his fairway metal toward the 11th green. It was a peculiar sight in one respect. Last year at the Tour Championship, it was Woods who gave O'Hair a putting tip that helped lead O'Hair to a 66 and the first-round lead at East Lake.

It's obvious that the guy didn't play to his usual way above the rest of the field standards. But to say he's finished is WAY to premature. IMO

A couple of adjustments and he's right back up there as far as I'm concerned. He's still better than a huge percentage of the tour players.

Playing below his standards in a couple few tournaments doesn't mean his career is over at all.

That's an obscene amount of money for her to get. I always knew there was no way they would follow the prenup after Tiger's bad behavior but that amount of money is blatant gold digging in my opinion.

No doubt Tiger was going to have to pay her a lot of money and 100 million or 150 million would have been more money than she could have ever spent in her life time, and the kids life time, and their kids life time.

Looks like she held him ransom for the money she would have made in a tell all book and then some. She's with the guy for a few short years and is walking away with the lions share of what he spent his entire life building.

Tiger destroyed the marriage, there's no doubt about that at all. But that pay off to her makes look just as bad with a different set of circumstances.

Tiger Woods has reached a record divorce settlement with Elin Nordegren, according to a report by The Sun.

Woods will pay his former wife between $750 million and $833 million, the report says, which would be the biggest payout ever seen in a high-profile divorce. In return, Nordegren, 30, can never publicly speak about reported affairs he had while they were married.

According to the deal, which is expected to be finalized soon, Nordegren gets complete custody of their children (3-year old daughter Sam and 1-year old son Charlie), but Woods gets to share in making decisions in their life.

Woods also has to keep his children away from his girlfriends or any other unmarried women that Nordegren does not know.

As his wife headed home to Sweden with the children in tow, fallen superstar golfer Tiger Woods went to see a rock concert, entertainment website TMZ reported Tuesday.

Woods reportedly left the family home to hang out backstage at a Nickelback concert in Orlando.

The Canadian rock band, who have a number of songs with sexually charged lyrics on their sixth album "Dark Horse," played Amway Arena in Florida on Monday night.

TMZ reported that Woods, who is known to be a big Nickelback fan, was shrouded by security backstage while the band did their thing.

Another entertainment news site, RadarOnline has revealed that Woods' wife Elin Nordegren boarded a private jet Monday heading home to Sweden.

Nordegren traveled to Stockholm from Orlando for a "vacation," a source said.

There has been speculation the couple will divorce in the wake of a series of affairs by Woods.

Woods entered The Players Championship and the AT&T National, which benefits his foundation.


It was the second straight week that Woods made an early commitment to a PGA Tour event, allowing for more time to promote his appearance. For years, the world's No. 1 player waited until the last few days before signing up.
Last week, Woods beat the deadline by eight days for entering the Quail Hollow Championship, which starts April 29. He signed up for The Players Championship, which starts May 6, nine days ahead of the deadline.


Woods no longer is the host of the AT&T National, which will be held over the Fourth of July weekend at Aronomink outside Philadelphia. It had been played the last three years at outside of Washington at Congressional, which will host the U.S. Open next year.
Woods missed five months while caught in a sex scandal that shattered his image and cost him three major endorsements. He returned at the Masters, where he tied for fourth.

Tiger Woods Will Play at Quail

Tiger Woods announced on his web site Thursday that he'll play the Quail Hollow Championship in Charlotte, which starts in two weeks.

An article at TigerWoods.com was headlined "Woods commits to Quail Hollow Championship." The tournament runs from April 29 to May 2 and will be Woods' second tournament of the year.

"I'm excited about competing," Woods said on his web site. "It's a wonderful venue, and they always have a great field. ... It's always been one of my favorite courses. I can't wait to go back."

It will be interesting to see what the security procedures are like at Quail Hollow. Woods chose to make his long-awaited return at the Masters not only because it's the year's first major but also because Augusta, more than any other venue in golf, has tight security and a strict code of conduct for visitors, which assured that Woods wouldn't be heckled over his Thanksgiving night car accident and the five months of revelations about his personal life that followed it.

Quail Hollow won't necessarily provide him with that kind of security, but if Woods is going to continue his golf career, he can't expect to be protected by an Augusta-style cocoon forever, and he's apparently decided that he's ready for Quail Hollow.

Woods also committed to the U.S. Open, which begins June 17 at Pebble Beach.
