Tiger’s Mistresses Gather at Yankee Stadium for Press Conference
Traffic Snarls for Miles
With Tiger Woods’ much-anticipated press conference set for Friday morning, thousands of the golf legend’s mistresses converged on Yankee Stadium to watch the proceedings on the stadium’s giant Jumbotron.
Traffic snarled for miles as the vehicles filled with cocktail waitresses, restaurant hostesses and Playboy models clogged the streets leading to the storied baseball venue.
New York Mayor Michael Bloomberg called the gathering “a first-class headache” and said that he regretted authorizing it.
“You have thousands of angry women in one place, anything can happen,” he said. “I never thought I’d say this, but I’d rather host Khalid Sheikh Mohammed.”
Shandi Shanoyne, a former Tiger mistress and thong publicist who organized the Yankee Stadium event, said that the thousands of women at Yankee Stadium were anxious to hear what Mr. Woods has to say.
“A lot of us have been waiting for months for him to text us back,” she said.
Elsewhere, the winner of this year’s Westminster Dog Show, Sadie the Scottish Terrier, received a trophy and permission to bite Michael Vick.

Tiger is the man...
CBS) Will Tiger Woods shed tears in front of the camera tomorrow? You can bet on it.
As the world gets ready for the Tiger Woods melodrama to reach a new high (or low) with his televised statement Friday, U.K. bookmaker Paddy Power is offering up several enticing bets for viewers.
According to Darren Haines, who runs public relations for Paddy Power, Woods is a 5/2 favorite to cry - the same odds apply to Woods winning this year's Masters tournament.
(No odds are available as to what sort of crying Woods may do: out-of-control sobbing seems unlikely, though a manly, pursed-lip whimper, like Mark McGwire's earlier this year, is a possibility. As Haines said in an e-mail: crying is subjective. "One man's crying may be another man's balling.")
A source tells CBS News that Woods will say he "does not know at this point when his return will be."
And, of course, you can wager on the number of times Woods says, "I'm sorry." There's 7/2 odds that he will utter the phrase six or more times - 16/1 odds that he won't say it at all.
Which brings us to the bulk of the bets offered: what cliché will Woods utter first?
"I regret the hurt I've caused" is the favorite at 7/2, with "we all need to move on" at 20/1. He's a 200/1 chance to say "I am retiring from professional golf."
Speaking of longshots, the following phrases are listed at 250/1:
- "My tiger is back in it's cage."
- "My tiger has been tamed."
- "At least I didn't pay."
It might be worth a try. Celebrity image consultant Michael Levine suggests Woods be humorous because, he says, it would help cut the tension.
(An Asheville, N.C. radio station claims it has a leaked version of Woods' statement. "Directly to the point there is no one to blame but me for the mess I have put my wife and family through. I accept total and complete responsibility," Woods will say, according to the station, adding that he and his wife, Elin Nordegren, are splitting and that he will play in the Masters this April.)
In a nod to President Bill Clinton's national soap opera over his dalliance with Monica Lewinsky, "I did not have sexual relations with that woman" offers the biggest payday with 500/1 odds.
"This is a grand opportunity for him to begin a process and it's going to be a very long walk up a steep, steep hill for him over a period of time," Levine told CBS' "The Early Show."
Woods has been silent for nearly three months since his late-night accident last November that produced an endless stream of revelations about the golfer's infidelity to Nordegren.
The statement, expected to be made at 11 a.m. EST at the PGA's headquarters in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., will be, according to Woods' agent, in front of a "small group of friends, colleagues and close associates."
(CBS/AP) First came photos of Tiger Woods jogging. Far more compelling will be the sound of his voice.
Woods has not been heard in the 78 days since a magazine released a voicemail that he allegedly left one of the women to whom he has been romantically linked, pleading with her to remove his number from her cell phone.
That changes at 11 a.m. EST Friday when Woods makes his first public appearance since crashing his car into a tree outside his Florida home Nov. 27, sparking sordid revelations of infidelity.
The big question is what will he say?
NBC Sports has published what it says is the leaked text of Wood's prepared speech, first obtained by a North Carolina radio station.
In the statement, whose veracity could not be confirmed, Woods says that "sadly things have not worked out" between him and his wife Elin Nordegren, despite their reported efforts to patch things up. He adds that the couple will live apart and he will see his children during agreed-upon visiting times. He does not specifically whether they will get divorced.
"There is no one to blame but me for the mess I have put my wife and family through. I accept total and complete responsibility," Woods says. "All the blame is on me."
Woods also says he plans to resume professional golf play at the Masters in early April and thanks the PGA tour for welcoming him back "with open arms."
"For that I am most grateful for I deserve nothing," he says.
The topic of what Woods might say was intriguing Americans - Woods was a trendy subject on Twitter a full day before his appearance.
Almost as intriguing is which "friends, colleagues and close associates" will be in the Sunset Room on the second floor of the Mediterranean-style clubhouse at the TPC Sawgrass.
PGA Tour commissioner Tim Finchem, who made the clubhouse available and is offering logistical help, has said he would attend, and as many as four other members of his executive staff will be in the room.
A British bookmaker has set odds at 4-to-7 that Woods wife, Elin, will be with him. William Hill didn't stop there, however. It offers 8-to-1 odds that Woods will announce he is getting a divorce, 12-to-1 odds that his wife is pregnant and 100-to-1 odds that he is retiring.
"While Tiger feels that what happened is fundamentally a matter between he and his wife, he also recognizes that he has hurt and let down a lot of other people who were close to him," his agent, Mark Steinberg, said in an e-mail Wednesday. "He also let down his fans. He wants to begin the process of making amends and that's what he's going to discuss."
Instead of going on "Oprah" or another national television show to break the ice, Woods essentially will be speaking to the lone camera allowed in the room. It will be televised live via satellite.
Three networks - ABC, CBS and NBC - will carry the statement live. ESPN will have it live on all its platforms, including Internet streaming, radio and mobile. The Golf Channel will start coverage at 10:30 a.m. - call it a 30-minute pregame show.
Steinberg invited three reporters from wire services - The Associated Press, Reuters and Bloomberg - and he turned to the Golf Writers Association of America to come up with a pool of three reporters.
GWAA president Vartan Kupelian, who is retired from The Detroit News and now contributes to pgatour.com, asked the group's officers. That means Kupelian is going, along with second vice president Bob Harig of espn.com. Kupelian said the first vice president, Mark Soltau, declined. Along with working for Golf Digest, Soltau is the editor of tigerwoods.com.
Kupelian said he still does not have a third GWAA member, and he is lobbying Woods' camp for a larger pool. A large faction of the GWAA board wants to boycott the appearance because of Steinberg's rules - no questions are allowed.
"This is not a press conference," Steinberg said Wednesday, the same day photos of Woods jogging in Florida were released.
Woods has always been about control, even in better times. He refused to go into the media center before a PGA Tour event if he was not the defending champion. If he agreed to a 10-minute interview to pitch a product he endorses, it was common for a company employee to be in the room making sure it didn't go one second beyond that.
But having not heard from Woods - except for three statements on his Web site - in three months, this event has taken on a life of its own.
Conversation raged online, as many took glee in speculating on what Woods will say Friday.
The golfer was the hottest topic on Google Trends. On Twitter, Tiger Woods was a dominant topic.
One of the most popular threads were tweets with the tag "tigershouldsay." Suggestions were predominantly sarcastic, such as: "At least I didn't use steroids."
Live events during work hours on weekdays have traditionally meant for robust traffic on the Web, since many viewers will be at work in front of computers, rather than home in front of TVs.
The PGA Tour will have two tournaments in progress Friday, including the third round of the Accenture Match Play Championship, the first title sponsor to drop Woods during this sex scandal. Some players did not think it was a coincidence.
Most of them, however, will be just like everyone else - curious what Woods has to say, and how he says it.
"It has to be held at some stage," Padraig Harrington said. "The sooner he makes a statement, the better. And the sooner he's back to playing golf - he's pretty good at playing golf - the better."

No doubt that the ratings will be off the charts!!
Whatever his first outing is I imagine the ratings will be through the roof...regardless of how despised he is now...lol
edit - double post...sorry...
me thinks and it will be a zoo
That is why I'm guessing the Masters will be his first tournament back in action. They already have heightened security in place and there won't be that "zoo like" environment like might take place in some other tournament.
That first drive of Tiger's off the first tee whevere he plyas gonna pack a wee extra punch me thinks and it will be a zoo
Anyone notice Nike's latest ad series? They're hitting the "We all fall down, but winners get back up" theme. Which all means, Tiger's return is imminent.
Its a matter between he and Elin now. You just know the dude wants to grip it and rip it.
if i were tiger woods i would hire jim mcmhan for ideas of how to milk the frenzied media for coverage for years.....lolol....i guess for tiger nothing will change to the eye
sp if you are rich its ok? you can humiate her in front of her family , in fornt of her children. Noone desrves that just because your husband is rich.
why would you hate him if she doesn't.....not sure that makes sense either...Besides what did he do to her...? Make her rich beyond her wildest dreams. Give her two children to love. She will never want for anything ever...So he stepped out - surprise...
I still have this nagging question in the back of my mind that says WHY??
If he was getting all he needed at home, with a GORGEOUS wife like that, why step out?? Which doesn't make what he did okay, but still, why??
There has to be more to that side of the story that we'll probably never hear anything about.
why would you hate him if she doesn't.....not sure that makes sense either...Besides what did he do to her...? Make her rich beyond her wildest dreams. Give her two children to love. She will never want for anything ever...So he stepped out - surprise...
i wouldnt be to hard on the ole boy....after all he comes from a country where cheating means nothing and forgivness abounds....why,even our very own president clinton had mr. wiggly soothed under his desk and his wife took him back...so did tiger really do anything wrong!
what mess LOL - he is a golfer to us. I definitely have a special place for pro Athletes who actuallay are good husbands and Fathers. BUT I can seperate the two. I will admire him for the great athlete he is and I will hate hom forever for what he did to ELIN.
easy for me to say I KNOW because the hot chicks dont hit on me (anymore) and the money I made playing sports - well I could of made more at Wendys.
Yep...it's time for him to deal with this mess and get back to playing golf.
My guess is that the press conference will be short and not filled with many, or any gory details. Since this all exploded he has steered the tale towards being a family matter that doesn't need to be more sensationalized than it already has been in the media.
I'm just glad that the guy is gonna get back to playing and I hope he can salvage his marriage.
As soon as he wins again this whole mess will begin to fade away.
jusat like I sais all along and now Im fav to win my pool LOL
Well, the good news is, Tiger's gonna be back in a month or so.
LOL that was juts a WAG - whos having it? jesus the best I can guess is she is blond and likes the clubs
He does? Who's having it? lol
OH I know I know I know. ITS a BABY .,. Tiger has a baby coming.
"He's looking forward to it."
I'LL BET! LOL
Someone should have asked him, "Why not?" to this response.
When asked if the news conference could have waited until after Accenture's tournament, he replied, "No."
NO? lol
It will be better ratings than Obama gets...
Do you think it will get any media coverage? LOLOL
NO RING,,,,BOO HOOO HOOO
Tiger sets news conference for Friday, will discuss future plans
Fox Sports Updated Feb 17, 2010 3:48 PM ET
Tiger Woods will end nearly three months of silence Friday when he speaks to the media for the first time about his middle-of-the-night accident that sparked shocking revelations about his infidelity.
Woods will speak to a small group of reporters at 11 a.m. Friday from the clubhouse of the TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Fla., home of the PGA Tour.
"This is all about the next step," Mark Steinberg, his agent, told The Associated Press. "He's looking forward to it."
Steinberg said he would speak to a "small group of friends, colleagues and close associates" about his past and what he plans next, along with apologizing for his behavior.
Woods will not answer any questions from the media.
"Tiger is reading a statement, a public apology," Mark Steinberg told FOXSports.com's Robert Lusetich. "No questions. It is not a news conference."
Sources close to Woods say he is keen to return to playing golf. He is expected to make his debut either at the made-for-television Tavistock Cup, featuring teams of professional golfers from two gated communities in Orlando, or at the Arnold Palmer Invitational, also held in Orlando. The Tavistock Cup is being held March 22nd and 23rd, while the Arnold Palmer Invitational, which Woods has won six times, begins on the final Thursday in March. He is expected to play in the Masters in April.
Steinberg said three wire services would be in invited to Friday's press conference, and he was asking the Golf Writers Association of America to pick a small group of reporters to serve as a pool. Steinberg said there would be one pool camera, but it would be available live via satellite.
The news conference will be held during the Accenture Match Play Championship in Arizona, which is sure to steal attention away from the first big event of the year. Accenture was the first sponsor to drop Woods when he became embroiled in a sex scandal.
"It was a matter of timing," Steinberg said.
When asked if the news conference could have waited until after Accenture's tournament, he replied, "No."
The news comes within days of the scandal escalating amid claims that Woods twice impregnated an alleged mistress, adult film star Joslyn James. James, 32, who claimed she carried on an affair with Woods from 2006 to 2009, said she miscarried in her first pregnancy at about the same time his wife, Elin Nordegren, gave birth to daughter Sam Alexis on June 18, 2007. James said she aborted her next pregnancy close to the Feb. 8, 2009, birth of Woods' son Charlie Axel.
Woods was never told about either pregnancy, she said, claiming she "just didn't want to ruin anything."
Woods took an indefinite leave from golf shortly after the scandal first erupted. He admitted to "infidelity" in a statement on his Web site in mid-December.
"I am deeply aware of the disappointment and hurt that my infidelity has caused to so many people, most of all my wife and children," Woods said at the time. "I want to say again to everyone that I am profoundly sorry and that I ask forgiveness. It may not be possible to repair the damage I've done, but I want to do my best to try."
Woods and his wife were recently said to be living apart in the same Orlando-area neighborhood so he can visit with their children. Nordegren was not wearing her wedding ring during recent weeks.

(CBS) Tiger Woods is leaving a Mississippi rehab center where he reportedly underwent treatment for sexual addiction and his wife, Elin, has joined him from the trip home, according to a report on RadarOnline.com.
Woods' marriage has been the focus of intense media speculation following revelations of infidelity that emerged after a bizarre car accident at Thanksgiving. The golfer has been linked with at least 14 women, though he has not publicly addressed the allegations other than to apologize for "transgressions" in a written statement.
According to the RadarOnline report, Elin Woods flew to Hattiesburg, Miss., Monday to join her husband, who attended group and individual counseling at the rehab center. Despite speculation that she would pursue a divorce, Elin Woods is reportedly prepared to give Woods a second chance. The couple has two children together.
A place to discuss Tiger Woods...
Go for it!
OH well It seems that this thread was created to discuss Tiger. Tiger and golf can be discussed on the Golf thread but this one really for Tiger the person. Of course this all started with the car accident at 2:30 am in late November as infidelity allegations were starting to emerge. Since then in the ensuing ten days or so we are now up to no less that 6 alleged Mistresses. All 6 are Hostesses or waitresses.
here they are in order
1.) Rachel Uchitel. The club hostess was the first of the women to be linked to Woods after the National Enquirer reported that she traveled to Australia to be with Woods during a golf tournament there. So far, she has denied the affair.
2.) Jamie Grubbs. The 24-year-old reality show contestant and cocktail waitress claims she carried on a 31-month-long affair with Woods until his crash last month. She offered a Woods voicemail to prove it.
3.) Kalika Moquin. The 27-year-old club manager from Las Vegas is reported to have had a brief sexual relationship with Woods. She would neither confirm nor deny the report.
4.) Cori Rist. The 31-year-old swimsuit model reportedly met Woods at a Manhattan club last year before they began a sexual relationship that led to Woods flying her out to various secret locations for hook-ups, and her introducing the golfer to her 7-year-old son.
5.) Jamie Jungers. The 26-year-old, who sold her story to a British newspaper, is a former employee of Trashy Girls Lingerie. She said she met Woods in Las Vegas.
6.) Mindy Lawton. The 33-year-old pancake house waitress from Orlando claims she was dumped by Woods in 2007. According to the Post, it was her affair with Woods that was caught on camera by the National Enquirer, when he was snapped dropping her off at her trailer park. The threatening news later led to a Woods Men’s Fitness cover in exchange for the magazine’s silence about the alleged affair, the New York Post reports.
7.) Holly Sampson. The 36-year-old from Los Angeles is a former porn star, who has starred in such films as “OMG, Stop Tickling Me” and “Flying Solo 2.” According to the Sun, she has neither confirmed nor denied her affair with Woods.
8.) Unidentified Alleged Mistress No. 8. A former cocktail waitress from Orlando, Fla. does want to reveal her identity yet, according to attorney Michael O’Quinn. At the time the affair allegedly began, she was 20 years old and met Woods at the Roxy in Orlando, where she was a VIP server.
9.) Unidentified Alleged Mistress No. 9 is reported to be a “sexy” British TV presenter who was single at the time, but is now married.
10.) Unidentified Alleged Mistress No. 10. is reported in a UK paper to be a “sex-addicted cougar.”
